Landscape architecture is about catching a fleeting moment of our environment and making it legible through design. These moments, over time, reveal a process that was hidden in plain sight. This portfolio showcases my design strategies to change perception and acknowledge process based design, with each of these projects at different scales.
While landscape architecture has taught me the value of all the qualities that go into shaping our space, my education in architecture backs that up with intricate working details. My strongest skills are that of design detailing and exploring representation through mixed media.
Every project in the following pages opens me up to diverse explorations and my passion for this unknown adventure is what I hope for even in the professional realm.
Hi, I am an Architect with a heart of an opportunist and a soul of an artist.
This portfolio provides short descriptions of the major projects I have worked on since the beginning of my academic career.
The projects are organized in reverse chronological order ranging from professional to academic works.
Thank you for your consideration.
PLANNING PRINCIPLES OF LE CORBUSIER – A CASE STUDY OF CHANDIGARH CITY”Yash Shah
The city has a pre-historic past. The gently sloping plains on which modern Chandigarh exists, was in the ancient past, a wide lake ringed by a marsh. The fossil remains found at the site indicate a large variety of aquatic and amphibian life, which was supported by that environment. About 8000 years ago the area was also known to be a home to the Harappans. Since the medieval through modern era, the area was part of the large and prosperous Punjab Province which was divided into East & West Punjab during partition of the country in 1947. The city was conceived not only to serve as the capital of East Punjab, but also to resettle thousands of refugees who had been uprooted from West Punjab. In March, 1948, the Government of Punjab, in consultation with the Government of India, approved the area of the foothills of the Shivaliks as the site for the new capital. The location of the city site was a part of the erstwhile Ambala district as per the 1892-93 gazetteer of District Ambala. The foundation stone of the city was laid in 1952. Subsequently, at the time of reorganization of the state on 01.11.1966 into Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pardesh, the city assumed the unique distinction of being the capital city of both, Punjab and Haryana while it itself was declared as a Union Territory and under the direct control of the Central Government.
The Union Territory of Chandigarh is located in the foothills of the Shivalik hill ranges in the north, which form a part of the fragile Himalayan ecosystem. It is occupied by Kandi (Bhabhar) in the north east and Sirowal (Tarai) and alluvial plains in the remaining part. The subsurface formation comprises of beds of boulders, pebbles, gravel, sand, silt, clays and some kankar. The area is drained by two seasonal rivulets viz. Sukhna Choe in the east and Patiala-Ki-Rao Choe in the west. The central part forms a surface water divide and has two minor streams.
Transforming Brand Perception and Boosting Profitabilityaaryangarg12
In today's digital era, the dynamics of brand perception, consumer behavior, and profitability have been profoundly reshaped by the synergy of branding, social media, and website design. This research paper investigates the transformative power of these elements in influencing how individuals perceive brands and products and how this transformation can be harnessed to drive sales and profitability for businesses.
Through an exploration of brand psychology and consumer behavior, this study sheds light on the intricate ways in which effective branding strategies, strategic social media engagement, and user-centric website design contribute to altering consumers' perceptions. We delve into the principles that underlie successful brand transformations, examining how visual identity, messaging, and storytelling can captivate and resonate with target audiences.
Methodologically, this research employs a comprehensive approach, combining qualitative and quantitative analyses. Real-world case studies illustrate the impact of branding, social media campaigns, and website redesigns on consumer perception, sales figures, and profitability. We assess the various metrics, including brand awareness, customer engagement, conversion rates, and revenue growth, to measure the effectiveness of these strategies.
The results underscore the pivotal role of cohesive branding, social media influence, and website usability in shaping positive brand perceptions, influencing consumer decisions, and ultimately bolstering sales and profitability. This paper provides actionable insights and strategic recommendations for businesses seeking to leverage branding, social media, and website design as potent tools to enhance their market position and financial success.

3. A project where an a specific type of
space is designed on a roof (CHILEKOTHA). The aim
was to extend an imagination of a space which
symbolize a floating effect through a framed cube with
incorporated planes. The project developed through
sketches and rough models to generate three
dimensional volumetric spaces complementing the
initial theme that was based on the object.
Conceptual
The concept came from the object to be exhibited
forged from flying effect , living under floating volume
is balanced at a point and personalized a strength. A
framed cube was chosen as the form to symbolize
lightness and planes was incorporated to give a sense
of introvert and extrovert expression. At the end, all over

An ICON of a RIVER _ BOAT CLUB
A river is a second transportation system in
bangladesh where BOAT is an important
ICON. Designing something that will become
an icon for the river is a very MEMORABLE
and had to have a place in the minds of the user
and the visitors alike.
A BOAT CLUB was designed to make an
impression of a boat of someone emotional
feeling through travel by boat, the roof that was
placed as a DATUM in a MOLDING SHAPE
that symbolizes the undulating feeling of a
passengers when boat is crossing the river
.The floors in different heights and the
openness of volumetric spaces inside the
building that resolve the impression of a
SHELTER inside the boat which is entirely held
by the datum.

Re-vi-tal-ize > renew somebody or
something > to give new life or
energy to somebody or something.
The only solution to improve this
condition of a city is to eliminate
the existing and prevent the future
blight in urban areas. An action to
be taken to remove the blight is
called urban revitalization.
Revitalization is called the
SURGERY on the decaying part of a
city. Revitalization helps to remove
the buildings from blighted areas
which have completed their useful
life and are thus beyond
conservation or rehabilitation. It is
therefore necessary to demolish
the entire area or preplan the area
for completely new development.
The possible recommendations for
this area was as follows:
- Separation of pedestrian and
vehicular traffic.
- Management and provision of
appropriate parking system for
both motorized and non -
motorized vehicles.
- Provision of an effective traffic
management system to control
unauthorized parking.
- Removal of old and rundown
structures and construction of new
buildings to efficiently
- Support the buildings.
- Building setback rules are to be
strictly applied and practiced in the
area.
- Demolition of semi-permanent
and temporary structures, which
are encroaching different roads in
the area.
- Identifying unused spaces and
make out a proper guideline for
better use.
- Increasing the width of the road
where it is possible.
- River bank can be developed and
utilized as recreational space in
addition to water
- Transportation system.
- As hawkers are inevitable part of
urban street in this context, this
issue should be dealt
sympathetically and appropriate
planning measures should be
adopted.
