Continuous Integration to Shift Left Testing Across the Enterprise StackDevOps.com
With the move to agile DevOps, automated testing is a critical function to ensure high quality in continuous deployments.
In this session, learn how to start testing earlier and often to ensure quality in your codebase. Join Architect Suman Gopinath and Offering Manager Korinne Alpers to talk about shifting-left in the development cycle, starting with unit testing as a key aspect of continuous integration. You'll view a demo of the latest zUnit unit testing tooling for CICS Db2 applications, as well as hear best practices and tales from the testing trenches.

6 essential questions when selecting a file sharing solutionNikec Solutions
Collaborative working is making the business world turn faster. File sharing supports collaborative work, reduces business development cycles, reduces your carbon footprint, and there has probably never been a greater choice of sharing solutions available than there are today.
But not all solutions are made equal and before you rush into choosing your own solution, there are six key questions to consider.
This study found that file sharing is increasingly important in law firm collaboration and while those firms are keenly aware of the consequences of IT security risks, unencrypted email – reinforced with a statement of confidentiality – remains the primary mechanism for sharing files.

This case study describes how we leveraged serverless technology and the AWS serverless application model (SAM) to support the needs of virtual training classes for a major US Federal agency. Our firm was excited to be selected as the main training partner to help a major US Federal government agency roll out Agile and DevOps processes across an organization comprising more than 1500 people. And then the pandemic hit—and what was to have been a series of in-person classes turned 100% virtual! We created a set of fully populated docker images containing all of the test data, plugins, and scenarios required for the student exercises. For our initial implementation, we simply pre-loaded our docker images into elastic beanstalk and then replicated them as many times as needed to provide the necessary number of instances for a given class. While this worked out fine at first, we found a number of shortcomings as we scaled up to more students and more classes. Eventually we came up with a much easier solution using serverless technology: we stood up a single page application that could kickoff tasks using AWS step functions to run docker images in elastic container service, all running under AWS Fargate. This application is a perfect fit for serverless technology and describing our evolution to serverless and SAM may help you gain insights into how these technologies may be beneficial in your situation.

1. General
1.1 Purpose
Software Structure is a hierarchical folder structure into which the process
documents are stored. Software Structure allows users to store and maintain the
process documents in an easy and efficient way. This approach helps in easy
identification and retrieval of documents.
2. Folder Structure
2.1 The project Folder Structure
We have to follow the below steps to create a Tester’s Drive for IBEEeCom Project
Testing.
Below Diagram shows the Project (Main) folder structure with the name of ‘IBBE
eCom’.
Steps to create:
1. Create a folder named “IBEEeCom”
2. Create sub folders named “Admin”, “User”, Templates and Pro-doc within the
“IBEEeCom” folder as below diagram 01.
Diagram 01
IBEEeCom-project name
Admin is a module under IBEEeCom, all Project Trainees are recommended to put
their ‘Admin module’ related documents into Admin Folder.
www.gcreddy.com 2
3. QTP Training
User is a module under IBEEeCom, all Project Trainees are recommended to put
their ‘User module’ related documents into User Folder.
In Templates Folder we have to store all Testing Templates (ex: Test case, Defect
Report Etc.).
We can use Pro-Doc (Process Documents) folder to store all Testing Process Related
Documents (ex: Test Strategy, Test Plan etc.).
2.2 Admin Module Structure
The Below diagram depicts the Admin folder structure within the “IBEEeCom Project
folder”.

4. QTP Training
Diagram 02
Admin- Admin module
Requirements- for storing requirements documents (ex: BRS, SRS etc.)
R-Reports- we have to use this folder for storing Review Reports.
CR- (Change Requests) for storing any change requests from customers.
Builds- for storing Build versions
TC-D-(Test Case Document) we have to use this folder for storing Admin module
Test case Document.
DP- (Defect profiles) we have to use this folder for storing Defect Reports.
Automation- we should use this folder for storing Automation related docs
www.gcreddy.com 4
5. QTP Training
Time sheets- for storing testers work status reports.
Others- we can use this folder to store any other docs than above mentioned
documents.
2.2.1 The Below diagram shows the Automation folder structure within the “Admin
folder”.
Diagram 03
Automation is a sub folder under ‘Admin Folder’.
QTP- (QuickTest Professional) we have to use this folder for storing Functional Test
Automation related docs.
LoadRunner- we have to use this folder for storing Performance Test Automation
related docs.
2.3 User Module Structure
User module folder Structure is also same like Admin folder so we can follow above
Procedure to create the User module folder.
Note: As it was a web application Client side Installation not required so testers
no need to download and Install Builds. Application can be deployed at Server side
and any build modifications also Server side only. Testers will get Information about
every build modifications.
Testers are recommended to create the Project Folder first, and then they have to
put this folder in the Configuration Management tool (Visual Source Safe).
Testers have to download required documents from the Server with respect to
System Administrator’s instructions.
