SMAC - social, mobile, analytics and cloud - Manu Melwin Joymanumelwin
SMAC (social, mobile, analytics and cloud) is the concept that four technologies are currently driving business innovation. SMAC creates an ecosystem that allows a business to improve its operations and get closer to the customer with minimal overhead and maximum reach.
SMAC is upsetting the domain. No CIO dialogue is accomplished devoid of considering influence
of SMAC on industry and business. Rapid developments in this technology pile are accumulating
value to complete breadth of businesses and industries. Rewards are several and appear very
captivating, with assurances being made as big as - forecasting future (Analytics), accessible
everywhere (Mobile), everything is so easy and networked (Social), and at a very low cost (Cloud).
This fresh technology pile has begun changing tomorrow's organization and has influence on every
part of a business, therefore consequently on the every software applications being utilize inside
the company and by the company.

Elevating Tactical DDD Patterns Through Object CalisthenicsDorra BARTAGUIZ
After immersing yourself in the blue book and its red counterpart, attending DDD-focused conferences, and applying tactical patterns, you're left with a crucial question: How do I ensure my design is effective? Tactical patterns within Domain-Driven Design (DDD) serve as guiding principles for creating clear and manageable domain models. However, achieving success with these patterns requires additional guidance. Interestingly, we've observed that a set of constraints initially designed for training purposes remarkably aligns with effective pattern implementation, offering a more ‘mechanical’ approach. Let's explore together how Object Calisthenics can elevate the design of your tactical DDD patterns, offering concrete help for those venturing into DDD for the first time!

Do you want to learn how to model and simulate an electrical network from scratch in under an hour?
Then welcome to this PowSyBl workshop, hosted by Rte, the French Transmission System Operator (TSO)!
During the webinar, you will discover the PowSyBl ecosystem as well as handle and study an electrical network through an interactive Python notebook.
PowSyBl is an open source project hosted by LF Energy, which offers a comprehensive set of features for electrical grid modelling and simulation. Among other advanced features, PowSyBl provides:
- A fully editable and extendable library for grid component modelling;
- Visualization tools to display your network;
- Grid simulation tools, such as power flows, security analyses (with or without remedial actions) and sensitivity analyses;
The framework is mostly written in Java, with a Python binding so that Python developers can access PowSyBl functionalities as well.
What you will learn during the webinar:
- For beginners: discover PowSyBl's functionalities through a quick general presentation and the notebook, without needing any expert coding skills;
- For advanced developers: master the skills to efficiently apply PowSyBl functionalities to your real-world scenarios.
Epistemic Interaction - tuning interfaces to provide information for AI supportAlan Dix
Paper presented at SYNERGY workshop at AVI 2024, Genoa, Italy. 3rd June 2024
https://alandix.com/academic/papers/synergy2024-epistemic/
As machine learning integrates deeper into human-computer interactions, the concept of epistemic interaction emerges, aiming to refine these interactions to enhance system adaptability. This approach encourages minor, intentional adjustments in user behaviour to enrich the data available for system learning. This paper introduces epistemic interaction within the context of human-system communication, illustrating how deliberate interaction design can improve system understanding and adaptation. Through concrete examples, we demonstrate the potential of epistemic interaction to significantly advance human-computer interaction by leveraging intuitive human communication strategies to inform system design and functionality, offering a novel pathway for enriching user-system engagements.

3. While social, mobile, analytics and cloud technologies add a new
dimension to your business model, to fully maximize their value consider
the sum is greater than its parts.
The formula for the Future of Work is called SMAC - social, mobile, analyt
and cloud on one integrated stack, where each function enables another to
maximize their effect.
This is the new enterprise IT model delivering an organization that is mor
connective, collaborative, real-time and productive.
4. TRENDS
Today’s SMAC Stack—‘the fifth wave’ of IT architecture—is happening faste
anything that’s come before. By 2020, as many as 100 billion computing devic
will be connected to the Web and corporations will be managing 50 times the
they do currently.
So SMAC will have a multiplying effect on businesses and increase produc
across the organization. Hence I think business field id more efficient for SMA
In all Industries across the business landscape, the SMAC Stack is eroding
century-old blueprint of value chains and spawning new, highly distributed, v
business models.
5. The power of this technology platform is in treating it as a stack, for its
components have a multiplying effect when they work in combination.
REAL WORLD EXAMPLE :
Retailers are strategically deploying the SMAC Stack across key business
processes to combine the best of virtual and physical retail shopping experien
Now a customer’s mobile device can signal store management while they’re
shopping. Advanced analytics arm associates with the right knowledge about

compare products, get information and redeem targeted offers from the Cloud
while in store.
6. INTEREST AREAS
According to me my interest areas are:
• Consumers' digital fingerprints or Code Halos.
• Future-Proofing Insurance.
• The Social Media Mandate for the HOTEL Industry.
• Gamification The Power of Personalization.
If I will be given internship then I would like to choose the 3rd option as
I think that There is much scope in this field and it will also improve the
social media field.
