This document outlines a research proposal that will conduct a comparative study of vocational choice, aspiration level, and adjustment of higher secondary level art, science, and commerce students. The study aims to compare these factors between the different streams of students, as well as between male and female students. It will use a descriptive survey method with a sample of approximately 600 higher secondary students from Kanpur district schools. Tools to measure vocational choice, aspiration, and adjustment will be used, and appropriate statistical analysis techniques will analyze the collected data. The study aims to provide insight into how vocational choice, aspirations, and adjustment are impacted at this important decision-making stage for students.

INTRODUCTION-
The present age is the age of vocational awareness. Everyday we
come to know about new prospects of vocations. Due to which we have to
suffer a difficulty in making choice of vocation . the choice of vocation is must
for students at higher secondary level and at the same time the ability to take
good decision at aspiration level adjustment is also affected. Due to lack of
right decision the adjustment is affected. Generally students enter different
vocations after higher secondary level so this level is very important. Keeping
in this outlook the proposed study will be presented.

SIGNIFICANCE OF PROPOSED STUDY-
At higher secondary level student is standing at a Junction where it is very
difficult for him to decide which profession should be given more importance. The
Aspiration level of students plays a very important role in choosing the vocational
preference the inability of choosing as per his aspiration level adjustment is disturbed.
The three most popular facilities Art, Science and commerce are chosen by students. Due
to Family pressure, social prestige and the lack of information and consequently they
have to face many problem in future. The wrong choice of subject and stream causes
disappointment in students due to the vocational choice, Aspiration level and Adjustment
are affected.
At this level vocational choice, Aspiration level and adjustment all there have
great importance because it is the time when a boy entrance practical life. so it is must
that at this level students must be presented with the opinion regarding there
adjustment and Aspiration level.

OBJECTIVE OF STUDY-
1- To compare the vocational interest of the higher secondary level Art, Science and
Commerce Students.
2- To compare the vocational interest of the higher secondary level Art, Science and
commerce Male & Female students.
3- To compare the Aspiration level of the higher secondary level Art, Science and
Commerce Students.
4- To compare the Aspiration level of the higher secondary level Art, Science and
Commerce Students male and Female Students.
5- To compare the Adjustment of the higher secondary level Art, Science and Commerce
Students.
6- To compare the Adjustment of the higher secondary level Art, Science and Commerce
Male and Female Students.

METHODOLOGY OF THE PROPOSED STUDY-
Method : In the proposed study, Descriptive survey method will be used.
Population :The population of the proposed study will consist of higher secondary school
students of kanpur district affiliated to U.P. Board, Allahabad.
Sample and Sampling Technique : Approximate 600 students will taken as sample in the
proposed study.
The sample will be selected through stratified random sampling technique
method.

Tools -
The following tool will be used in the proposed study:-
•For measuring vocational choice of students, Career Preference Record (CPR) developed By
Vivek Bhargwa and Rajshree Bhargwa will be used.
•For measuring aspiration of students, Educational Aspiration Scale (EAS) developed by Dr.
V.P. Sharma and DR. Anuradha Gupta will be used.
For measuring Role Adjustment of students, Adjustment Inventory For School Students (AICS)
developed by Prof. A.K.P. Sinha and Prof. R.P. Singh the will be used.
STATISTICAL TECHNIQUES TO BE USED-
Appropriate statistical techniques will be employed to analyze the data depending
upon the nature of the collected data.
