DEFINITIONS
LASER is an acronym for Light Amplification by Stimulated
Emission of Radiation.
A laser is a device that emits light through a process of optical
amplification based on the stimulated emission of electromagnetic
radiation.
Usually in the form of light that can not be seen or can be seen
with normal eyes, through the process of stimulated emission.

DEFINITIONS
Fiber optic (optical fiber) is a flexible, transparent fiber made of
glass (silica) or plastic, slightly thicker than a human hair. It
functions as a waveguide, or “light pipe”, to transmit light between
the two ends of the fiber. The light source that used is usually
LASER.
DEFINITIONS
Fiber optics is a type of transmission line or cable is made of glass or
plastic is very smooth and smaller than a strand of hair, and can be used to
transmit light signals from one place to another. The light source is a laser used
is usually atauLED. This cable diameter of about 120 micrometers. The light in
the optical fiber did not come out because the refractive index of the glass is
greater than the refractive index of air, because the laser has a very narrow
spectrum. The transmission speed of fiber optics is very high so it is good to
use as a communication channel.

 Cladding material surrounding the core is the

optical fiber comprising one or more fibers,
this fiber which is the path for the signal light
the nucleus (core).

caused by outside influences. such as
humidity, abrasion and damage.

Optical fiber with the small core, the diameter close with the wave length, so
that, the light which entered not reflected to the wall of cladding.

Optical fiber with the core’s diameter little longer which make the laser in the
core will reflected to the wall of cladding, it will be make the decreasing the
bandwidth from this kind of optical fiber.

 Step index
The step index optical fiber, the core has a refractive index that is
homogeneous.
 Graded index
The index of refraction core approached closer to the smaller
cladding.

MECHANISM
MECHANISM
A beam of light is used as a carrier of information you want to
send. Light information is then fired into the optical fiber media
from the place of origin. Then the light will propagate along the
glass medium until light had arrived at its destination. When the
light arrived at the destination, the transmission of information and
data has been successfully delivered to the theory well. Thus, there
was a communication process in which both ends of the media can
send and receive information to be conveyed.
APLICATIONS IN
DAILY LIFE
Internet
• Fiber optic cables transmit large amounts of data at very high speed. As
compared to traditional copper wires,fiber optic cables are less bulky, lighter,
more flexible and carry more data.
Telephone
• Calling telephones within or outside the country has never been so easy. With
the use of fiber optic communication, you can connect faster and have clear
conversation without any lag on either side
Cable
television
• The use of fiber optic cables in the transmission of cable signals has grown
explosively over the years. These cables ar ideal for transmitting signals for high
definition televisions. Because they have greater bandwidth and speed. Also,
fiber optic cablles are cheaper as compared to the same quantity of copper wire

• Radio Over Fiber is a radio system that utilizes fiber optic lines as a transmission medium.
Optical communications systems have the sender, the transmission medium and receiver.
Media sender on the optical system can be either LED (Light Emitting Diode) or laser,
while the recipient in the form of a PIN (Positive Intrinsic Negative) photodiode.
Endoscope
• Endoscope is an instrument used to examine the organs in the body visually, so that it can
be seen very clearly any abnormalities that arise in the organs examined. So it is clear that
the endoscope is a tool to help establish the diagnosis.
Jarlofkaf
• A local network even to the terminal customers with fiber media.
Optical fiber transmission systems used on the local network is called
the Local Network Access Fiber (Jarlokaf).
CONCLUCION
LASER is a mechanism for a device that emits electromagnetic
radiation, through the process of stimulated emission.
Fiber optics is one of the transmission medium capable of
delivering data in the form of light with a large capacity with high
reliability

  • 4. DEFINITIONS LASER is an acronym for Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation. A laser is a device that emits light through a process of optical amplification based on the stimulated emission of electromagnetic radiation. Usually in the form of light that can not be seen or can be seen with normal eyes, through the process of stimulated emission.
  • 15. DEFINITIONS Fiber optic (optical fiber) is a flexible, transparent fiber made of glass (silica) or plastic, slightly thicker than a human hair. It functions as a waveguide, or “light pipe”, to transmit light between the two ends of the fiber. The light source that used is usually LASER.
  • 16. DEFINITIONS Fiber optics is a type of transmission line or cable is made of glass or plastic is very smooth and smaller than a strand of hair, and can be used to transmit light signals from one place to another. The light source is a laser used is usually atauLED. This cable diameter of about 120 micrometers. The light in the optical fiber did not come out because the refractive index of the glass is greater than the refractive index of air, because the laser has a very narrow spectrum. The transmission speed of fiber optics is very high so it is good to use as a communication channel.

  • 25. MECHANISM A beam of light is used as a carrier of information you want to send. Light information is then fired into the optical fiber media from the place of origin. Then the light will propagate along the glass medium until light had arrived at its destination. When the light arrived at the destination, the transmission of information and data has been successfully delivered to the theory well. Thus, there was a communication process in which both ends of the media can send and receive information to be conveyed.
  • 26. APLICATIONS IN DAILY LIFE Internet • Fiber optic cables transmit large amounts of data at very high speed. As compared to traditional copper wires,fiber optic cables are less bulky, lighter, more flexible and carry more data. Telephone • Calling telephones within or outside the country has never been so easy. With the use of fiber optic communication, you can connect faster and have clear conversation without any lag on either side Cable television • The use of fiber optic cables in the transmission of cable signals has grown explosively over the years. These cables ar ideal for transmitting signals for high definition televisions. Because they have greater bandwidth and speed. Also, fiber optic cablles are cheaper as compared to the same quantity of copper wire
  • 27. APLICATIONS IN DAILY LIFE VCSEL in Radio over Fiber • Radio Over Fiber is a radio system that utilizes fiber optic lines as a transmission medium. Optical communications systems have the sender, the transmission medium and receiver. Media sender on the optical system can be either LED (Light Emitting Diode) or laser, while the recipient in the form of a PIN (Positive Intrinsic Negative) photodiode. Endoscope • Endoscope is an instrument used to examine the organs in the body visually, so that it can be seen very clearly any abnormalities that arise in the organs examined. So it is clear that the endoscope is a tool to help establish the diagnosis. Jarlofkaf • A local network even to the terminal customers with fiber media. Optical fiber transmission systems used on the local network is called the Local Network Access Fiber (Jarlokaf).
  • 28. CONCLUCION LASER is a mechanism for a device that emits electromagnetic radiation, through the process of stimulated emission. Fiber optics is one of the transmission medium capable of delivering data in the form of light with a large capacity with high reliability
