Later Model Of God Research Paper
There are two absolutely different models of God during the biblical times. The one that we are
accustomed to because it was passed on to Judaism and Christianity and has been with us ever since is
the later God. The later God is found to be in the beginning of the sixth century of BCE to the end of
the biblical time frame. This God is considered to be simultaneously everywhere at once. He is
almighty and knowledgeable. He is very powerful and knows everything.
The earlier model of God is found in many texts such as Genesis and Exodus, Joshua, and etc.
Whereas the later model of God is not found in them. The earlier God in contrast to the later God goes
from place to place. He is not everywhere at once. The book gives an example of the story of Tower of
Babel that God states Let us go down and confuse their speech. This indicates that he is not present
there with the people. He is apparently up, perhaps in heaven (midrash), since he states he has to go
down. Another example the book provides entails the story of the Garden of Eden. It points out two
things. First, that God ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The biblical scholars did not have a clear understanding of God and so they expressed themselves in
ways it is easy for us readers to comprehend. The beginning of the bible describes God in a
inferior/unsatisfactory way. A whole different way and a different model from God s being. But the
older model is not to be forgotten. Kugel says in some ways it is more sophisticated than the later
model that replaced it. I would respectfully disagree. I think the later model was more sophisticated.
From my understanding, God is everywhere at once. He is powerful and superior and knows what is
happening. I do not believe the earlier version where it states that he is only in one place and he can so
call walk from place to place. I got taught that he is not directly perceivable but is omnipresent. This is
because God causes everything that happens, to

Hurricane Katrina Case Study
1. Did human activity contribute to the severity of the storm, or was it an entirely natural disaster?
Support your answer with evidence and citations. The severity of Hurricane Katrina was impacted
largely by the location of its landfall. The storm was well tracked by the National Oceanic and
Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). The NOAA noted that the high pressure of the storm at
landfall, the strength of the system and shallow waters offshore all were contributing factors to the
severity of the storm. (Graumann, Houston, Lawrimore, Levinson, Lott, McCown, Stephens, Wuertz:
2005, pg 4). When the storm struck, however, it was found that those who were financially better off
were able to evacuate easier, leaving those in lower income areas to remain amidst the devastation.
Nearly a half million people were excluded from the cities, when FEMA camps were implemented as
a means to reconstruct public housing. (Smith, 2006). The human activity leading up to the storm,
including levees constructed on the shore as well as the NOAA announcement of a hurricane warning,
had been intended to protect the residents of Louisiana and Mississippi. Unfortunately, efforts to
prepare those who would be most devastated by the storm failed. The governmental response in the
wake of the storm greatly worsened the devastation of the storm. What is called glory seeking was the
government s way of encouraging the private sector to get involved with disaster relief. However, the

Essay on Television in the Fifties
Technology in the 1950s started with many great innovations that shape the way we live now.
Probably the most important innovation of television was the introduction of cable T.V., television
broadcasting, sitcoms and talk shows. Television went though many changes in its younger years. The
way T.V. Developed in the early years is the foundation for what we watched now days. Transitory
radios became very popular in the fact that Music could be heard in any location because it was now
portable. Still T.V. Innovations were what the 1950s were all about from a technology and the birth of
the T.V. show. In 1950, the use of a single channel strip amp amplifier permitted the extension of cable

Support The Positive Parenting Of A Child s Physical,...
The aim of this assignment is to compare, contrast and also critically evaluate all of the strategies
which include a strength based approach to support the positive parenting in respect of a child s
physical, cognitive and social emotional learning development. The first two years of any child s life
are the most critical and important when it comes to their personal development when growing up.
They are essential to the cognitive, physical, social and emotional development. Many theorists have
suggested that is a child is brought up where their developmental needs are not being met from either
circumstances like their home, school environment or parenting, which means that they are more at
risk of experiencing learning delays in the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There are also socio economic trends that will influence a child s development. Researchers have
suggested that the more poor a family is, because of income, then this will affect their development
because the more wealthier a family is then it has been proven that they can provide a more safer
environment for their child. Also the more wealthier the family is then the higher up education the
child will receive, for example attending a private school and also home school tuition where the child
is able to learn more and receive more advance tuition. They have also suggested the a more low
income family will have poor nutrition which can also lead to a poor child development because
health is a huge factor. Call, N (2011). The Thinking Child: Brain based Learning for the Early Years
Foundation Stage
A child s brain development is one of the first organs which develops whilst in the mother s womb and
throughout a child s whole life it will carry on to change and develop when learning new things from
different people and in different environments. There are 1 Billion nerve cells that are currently
present in an adults brain which were created when a baby reaches six months old. At this stage all of
the neurons are not connected to each other but with maturity, age and education then this is when the

Essay On The Rebound Movie
Communication Theory Essay The Rebound
The Rebound is a romantic comedy movie, which described about a single mum, Sandy, discovered
her husband s infidelity video, then she decided to divorced with him, and moved to another city with
her two kids so as to start over again. She got an apartment that was above a coffee house. She met
Aram; a guy who only 25 years old and work in that coffee house, then they started befriends and
knew more each other. Not long after she was moving into the apartment and started hiring Aram to be
her nanny while she took on work for the first time. He started to have an inseparable relationship with
her children day by day; and have a chemistry effect to ferment between Aram and Sandy. After that
they became a couple and have a sexual intimate interaction. Notwithstanding, two of them
encountered many difficulties; and the biggest concern was that they have an age difference of 15
years. At the end five years later, they broke the rules, ignored the age problem and back together.
In this essay, I am going to use The Rebound movie to go deeply in order to discuss the Social
Penetration Theory , and more focus on the stage of social penetration process and self disclosure.

Character Versus Self Vs. Self
Imagine you re left with a decision. Which flavour ice cream should you eat? Chocolate, your
chocolate half says. Because it melts in your mouth. But then your vanilla half retaliates with No,
vanilla. It s a lot sweeter than chocolate. Besides, you haven t had vanilla in a while. Have you ever
faced a choice like this? Hard to decide, and when you do decide there s always the thought of what
would ve happened if you d have chosen the other choice? Books with character versus self face these
sorts of problems a lot. Especially when they re choosing their ice cream flavours. Character versus
self is when a character fights itself, usually over decisions or judgement. Sometimes it is about
forcing itself to do something, like to do ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
But around the end of the book, her mental problems are too much for her, so she goes insane, if only

In the fantasy adventure series Artemis Fowl, you wouldn t really notice any character versus self.
Sure, it was there every now and then... or was it? If you look closely, you can notice how much
character versus self Artemis Fowl Jr goes through, and how vividly it affects the storyline. Basically,
what s happened is that Artemis Fowl II, a criminal mastermind, has discovered that fairies do indeed
exist. Long story Short, Holly Short, a female LEP (Lower Elements Police) soldier, and the rest of the
fairy population accept him, but only after making a few friends, making a few enemies, and getting a
few friends killed. Character versus self is introduced as Artemis s decision. This decision is seen over
the whole series. At the start, he would be described as A criminal mastermind, very rich, very smart,
but very reclusive. And only twelve. By the end, he would be described as A friend, still rich and
smart, but not that much of a criminal. A good person. Have you figured out his decision yet? It s
whether he should use his resources for criminal activity, like his father did (but is not doing now), or
whether he should use his powers for good. It is not

Nuclear Bomb Debate
Ever since nuclear weapons were invented, the world has been strict about their usage and
manufacturing. USA, having the most number of operational nuclear warheads (Macais) has been
most vocal about who should can manufacture and store nuclear weapons. But one should not forget
that there has only been one recorded incident of nuclear weapons being used in combat and that was
when USA dropped 2 of its nuclear bombs on Japan, one in Nagasaki and one in Hiroshima.
Japan had almost lost the world war II and both, USA and Japan knew it. Japan, however, decided to
keep on fighting. This course of action made the allied nervous. The estimated causalities on both
sides were too high and USA was already wounded due to the skirmish with the Germans. ... Show

People argue that the bombs were made for defense purpose only. .... the atomic bomb was built as a
defensive weapon, not an offensive one. It was intended to be a deterrent .... To bolster their argument,
these critics point out that ever since WWII, the weapon has been used only as a deterrent. From 1949
1991 the Cold War, ..... Korea (while Truman was still in office), Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan,
nuclear weapons were never again deployed. In other words, not using them in those wars has been an
admission that they should never have been used offensively in the first place. (Barnes)
The usage of bombs was also called an illegal act. The League of Nations had made a resolution
which basically said that the use of chemical or bacterial methods in the conduct of war is contrary to
international law. (Barnes). However, bomb supporters argue that since the United States had never
been a part of the League, the rules didn t apply. Also, the league had been disbanded in 1939, long

Essay On Scapegoat
Have you ever heard of a scapegoat? Most of us have used one or one s to get out of something, that
meaning good or bad. People in the past have also used someone or something as a scapegoat(The
salem witch trials the townspeople blamed witches and the devil for their bad crops, The people to the
New World blamed the indians for them dieing off by not knowing how to live off the land, even
people today blame their siblings to get out of their punishments/chores, etc.)
My scapegoat on the other hand is my white, fuzz ball of a cat or other animals, and nature. Me being

I had to grow up faster than what my siblings are required to, due to I am expected to have more
responsibilities, be more responsible, be the good influence, and something they look up to. Having
those scapegoats is another thing that make me the person I am today, I can look at things deeper than
others. I can look at something different then what someone else sees, when they see a disaster, I see
potential. By my parents keeping me home all the time allows me to see that they are just trying to
help and show me what I need to expect in the future. They are giving me a heads up and just trying to
help even if it sucks some of the time. There is plenty of negatives for being the eldest but there is just
as many positives. I can sit back and watch other people s mistakes and learn off of those. I can have a
mud wrestling match in the front yard with my brother. I can get to know my siblings better and
become more close with them even if they don t like me sometimes because I have to be the bigger
person and tell them no when something isn t right.
Like I said before, yes my cat is my scapegoat and yes I do talk to him. I am the eldest child and yes it
does suck at some points but it does have it s advantages. Those things are what makes me the person
I am today. That is a part of my personal

Hieroglyphs In Ancient Egypt
1. Hieroglyphs were the next advancement around the year of 3300 or 3200 BCE. This advancement
came during early civilizations. Hieroglyphs were an extension to pictographs, however, letters began
to represent these symbols that were drawn on the walls. These letters were the first step in creating a
written language. Due to hieroglyphs emerging from a preliterate Egypt, Egyptian writing had a set of
some 22 hieroglyphs to represent syllables that begin with a single consonant of their language, plus a
vowel to be supplied by the native speaker. The hieroglyphic system used in ancient Egypt evolved
and had between 700 and 800 basic symbols and the number continued to grow. Hieroglyphs were
used for the next 3,500 years, all the way into Alexander the Great s time. However, as time went on,
by the 4th century few Egyptians were able to read the hieroglyphs ... Show more content on

Chinese civilizations. This era was known as prehistory. These ancient civilizations used symbols
nearly 5000 years back and developed them before history was recorded. A pictogram or pictograph is
a symbol representing a concept, object, activity, place or event by illustration. Pictograph s also
represented the fine arts during this time. Pictography is a form of writing whereby ideas are

Constantine s Declaration Of The Edict Of Milan
Constantine s declaration of the Edict of Milan left a lasting impact on Roman society. The Edict of
Milan allowed the tolerance of all religions, which influenced laws surrounding religion. This
investigation will evaluate the following research question: To what extent did Constantine s Edict of
Milan, issued in 313 C.E., affect the spread of Christianity in Rome until its collapse? The
investigation will address if the Edict of Milan was a turning point for Christianity in Rome, and if it
had greater impact on the Eastern or Western Roman Empire. To gather knowledge on the matter, the
investigation will be relying heavily on books presenting the history of Christianity, Emperor
Constantine, and The Edict of Milan itself. By examining The Edict of Milan and the religions of
settlements surrounding the Roman Empire, this investigation will measure the impact Constantine s
Edict of Milan in Rome from 313 C.E. until its fall. The origin of my first source, Christianity: A
Global History, was a book written by David Chidester as a secondary source in 2000. There is little
reveal of the author s perspective because the historic information regarding Christianity was
comprised of primarily unarguable fact. The author s purpose in writing this piece was to provide
readers with knowledge on the global foundation of Christianity. The author is also a scholar in
religious studies, and is currently a professor teaching about religion at Cape Town University in

The Pros And Cons Of The Collective Bargaining Process
The NLRB regulates and determines whether or not an employer has committed an unlawful act of
unfair labor practices during the collective bargaining negotiation process (Holley, Wolters Ross,
2012). During the collective bargaining process the labor union and the employer try to hash out labor
relations differences. The goal is for a positive resolution of labor relations disputes between
employers and employees. Positive labor relations are good for the economy and for the consumers.
Settlement of these difference also create a positive working relationship between the employees and
management and avoids work stoppages or economic losses. The collective bargaining process allows
for mandatory and permissive subjects to be part of the collective bargaining process (Sockell
Delaney, 1986). Section 9 of the NLRA states that issues such as wages, employment terms and
workplace conditions are required subject during the collective bargaining negotiation process
(McManemin, 1962). All these actions during the collective bargaining process must done in good
faith. Good faith means that the either side in the process meets at a reasonable time to discuss all the
mandatory and mutually agreed upon permissive subjects. If the issue is considered permissive the
employer is not required to negotiate these issues during the bargaining process. Since the language in
the law of the NLRA does explicitly state which issues are mandatory or permissive so these issues
have been

Essay On Putonghua
There has been a long debate on whether Putonghua should be used in teaching Chinese Language in
the society since the Curriculum Development Council has identified Putonghua as the Medium of
Instruction in 1999. However, Cantonese is the mother tongue of the majority of Hong Kong student
for decades. Under this premise, Cantonese should be used instead of Putonghua in teaching Chinese
in Hong Kong secondary schools to enhance both the quality and efficiency of teaching.
To begin with, using Cantonese as the medium of instruction could probably improve student s
performance on learning classical Chinese. There are several Chinese language learning scholars
proved that Cantonese is an ancient Han language which has a longer history than Putonghua. ... Show

Cantonese is the mother tongue of the majority of Hong Kong secondary students. It is generally
believed that student feel more confident when they are asked to speak in a language used in their
daily life. In contrast, using Putonghua to teach Chinese may cause learning obstacles. Students need
to learn a new set of pronunciation and usage of words. Both speaking and listening have to be
managed in a language that they are not as familiar as Cantonese. This probably discourage student
from class discussion. Cantonese does not contain these barriers. Therefore student is likely to focus
on deeper levels of language features and improve the teaching effectiveness. According to the study
done by The Standing Committee on Language Education and Research ( SCOLAR ), there is no clear
evidence or statistic can prove that using Putonghua as the medium of instruction can enhance
teaching efficiency (Chan, 2015) . Besides, the adoption of using Putonghua to teach Chinese
language certainly do not match the current exanimating syllabus. The oral and listening exams are
carried out in Cantonese in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (DSE).
Even if the schools use Putonghua as the main medium of instruction in common lessons, they have to
switch back to Cantonese when students practicing past papers. This is apparently inefficient to

Examples Of Time Scheduling
3.1 Time Scheduling Generally, scheduling is a process of planning and controlling the production that
sets up the production and the resource allocation in a spesific time while paying attention to the
capacity of the resource. According to Conway, scheduling is a process of sorting the production
process to some machines thoroughly. Baker (1974) defines scheduling as a process of allocating the
resources and the machines that is available to do the required tasks in one particular time. This
definition can be translated into two meanings, they are: 1. Scheduling as the function of decision
making or scheduling as a part of the process to determine the sorting. 2. Scheduling is a theory.
Scheduling is a set of principals, model, technique and logical conclusion in decision making.

Which is when a loading and unloading process is ongoing, the time during the process can be used as
efficient as possible. 5. Vendor scheduling For a company with JIT system (just in time), the
scheduling of loading and unloading is really important. The loading and unloading section has to
coordinate with the system of the amount of the product to guarantee that JIT functions efficiently. 6.
Project scheduling Planning is the connector of the tasks. Eventhough some tasks can be done
together, there are some that can only being done when the others are finished. A complex project
might caused thousands of labour coordinate to fulfil the plan with more time and more funds.
Therefore a scheduling is an important component from the planning fuction. 7. Dynamic versus static

that in reality scheduling is dinamic, a job will come continuously from time to

Privatization Reform During Latin America
Conclusion
Since the 1980s, transnational actors have disseminated ideas of education privatization throughout
Latin America. Although by similar means, these policy ideas arrived at different historical moments
at Chile and Argentina. Privatization ideas made its way in Chile carried by the influential Chicago
boys, during the critical juncture of the authoritarian regime. The market based reform served the
interests of the military regime, and faced very little resistance given the repression and dismantling of
the teacher union, and the penetration of the economic logic in the Ministry of Education. Timing,
carriers and weak opposition allowed a complete replacement of the domestic education policy. Later
in democracy, state oriented education bureaucrats were not able to reverse the policy change.
Although they tried to build on the inherited model and use the state as a way to correct the failures of
the education market, the inconsistency between their goals and their means ended up reproducing and
strengthening the privatized model.
By contrast in Argentina, the economic perspective arrived timidly and late when the country was
making its transition to democracy. The resistance of the teacher union and provincial governments
towards fiscal decentralization, and the reluctance of the ministry of education to market based
reforms, refrained the government from proposing explicit privatization instruments such as vouchers.
Instead, the government gradually changed

Carlill had not used the smoke ball correctly or even get influenza which was also one of the

legal issues in regards to contract law. One of the claims was that the advertisement was an open door

bilateral contract the acceptance of the offer needs to be communicated and ad seen Carlill never did

Persuasive Essay About Whataburger
Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. Over six decades ago, an
adventurous and determined entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so
big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customer couldn t help but
exclaim. A burger restaurant should be clean and have a fresh food. First, people try many restaurants,
but sometimes if they like something, they will keep going to same restaurant even if wasn t that good,
but they used to like it form the begging. Whataburger is the best burger fast food restaurants in Texas
because they bring new sandwiches, and they open 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. That the best
part for me because sometimes people are hungry after 10pm. Most of the restaurants will be close at
10 o clock, and people don t have many choices. And maybe that s the reason people like Whataburger
especially at night time.
Whataburger is the best because they just made a new sandwich called Watachicken and it s so good
to many people said, they like it. People can see this restaurant is always busy even at the night time.

Little Women By Louisa Alcott
Little Women by Louisa Alcott
Little Women can be viewed as a classic book or girl s book. It was written after the Civil War after
the author received endless demand from the young female readers. Initially they were published as
two books where Chapters 1 to 23 where issues back in 1868 under Little Women title, however, after
becoming a highly sensational success, Chapters 24 to 47 were published in 1869 under the title Good
Wives Louisa (1869). Louisa May Alcott s personal life is demonstrated in the first book hence acting
as a form of semiautobiographical where it largely reflects on the experiences as she grows up with
her sisters in New England. She was born in Germantown, Pennsylvania on November 29, 1832
(Reisen). Thus, the book reflects her personal live with the authors demand on the need to know
whether who of the sister married forcing her to add the book. The second book illustrated how Jo
married Laurie with Alcott herself remaining unmarried all her life hence forcing her to write the
sequel by departing from the autobiography by writing may feel straight up fiction. However, without
her personal experiences the other part of the novel may feel less realistic. Little Women has been
largely popular since the initial publication for over 140 years where it largely appealed to readers
young and old, male and female (Myerson). This was based on the major trend of the novel as based
on the lifelong lovers who are female. The novel has been transformed into

Civilization And Perception
George Orwell, 20th century award winning novelist of 1984 wrote, He who controls the past controls
the future. He who controls the present controls the past. This idea is the fundamental basis under
which lies various identity surrounded disputes within modern communities. The influence of the
Spanish conquest on Native Americans and their struggle to reconstruct their identity today, and the
Ayodhya dispute between the Hindu and Muslim people depicts the consequences of the Western idea
of White Man s burden and the importance of a nation state s interpretation of the past to assert a

The past is used to form and reinforce group identities, and physical things are used as evidence of
national identity, and powerful symbols of a civilization s impact on an area . The Babri mosque stood
as a religious symbol of Muslim national identity, and for the Hindu community, a denial of their
religious heritage. Since 1947, Hindus have tried to prove that the first Mughal emperor, Babur,
destroyed a temple for their deity: Rama, and in its place built the mosque. In 1942, Hindu nationalists
destroyed the Mosque, and the riots that broke out in India and Bangladesh contributed to over three
thousand deaths. The destruction of the symbolic site was the Hindu nationalist s attempt to erase
Muslim national identity from India, to assert control over the civilization they considered to be their
subordinates. Excavatory efforts in 1990 unearthed sculptures that the Hindus believed to be of Rama.
In 2003, upon court ordered excavation, evidence of a prior Hindu structure was unearthed, and in
2010 the court of India divided the site into three parts, the Hindus receiving two thirds of the site, and
Muslims the rest. Materially, by promoting their interpretations of the past, Hindu people gained an
official ruling that stated that the site was the birthplace of Rama. Ideologically, they received public
acknowledgement that the site

The Cloud Service Providers Should Address The Still Open...
C RYPTOGRAPHY T ECHNIQUES
The cloud service providers should address the still open cloud security problems in order to
encourage users to use this technology. The most important concerns are confidentiality, integrity and
availability. In a complex and non transparent system like cloud computing, it is difficult for a user to
even determine what kind of security measures are implemented in the cloud. This section presents
Cryptography, as one of the security measure that can be implemented.
Cryptography techniques are defined as methods that protect the data by changing the format of the
data, such that it can not be understood by unauthorized users. The objectives of cryptography are [9]:
1) Confidentiality
This is the service that makes sure that the data is accessed by the owner of the data and not allow
unauthorized to access the data.
1) Resource Location
As the data is stored at an unknown location, the client is unaware of the problems when there is a
dispute and is not in the control of the cloud service provider. The data stored by the cloud service
providers is not only under the policies of the service provider but are also affected by the countries
legislation policies where the data is stored. This makes the service providers hand over sensitive
information in accordance to the countries law and its law enforcement requests. If someone subpoena
the data stored then the service provider has to hand over that data without any consent from the
owner of the data.

Humanistic Approach Analysis
Good evening, Owen.
Thank you for your response. I have read a couple of responses, and they are similar, in that they
mention that professional educators mix and match approaches to curriculum, more than, perhaps,
stick to one flavor. I mentioned in my post that I began as a supporter of the behavioral approach to
curriculum. Yet, now, I am full time teacher of record in a prime example of the humanistic approach
and I love it. I am an engineer by spirit, so I tend toward the behavior and systems approaches by
nature. However, I ve been involved in the International Baccalaureate curriculum for the past 6 years,
first as a parent, then as a substitute in the classroom, and currently as teacher of record for Middle
School Science. I ve watched my own children mature in the system, and then fail, because of their
point of entry. I ve seen other children mature from Kindergarten to Middle School and have noticed
the difference between those who started here in Kindergarten and those who came within two years
prior to Middle School.
Having said all that, I feel that I have had the opportunity to experience the behavioral approach to ...

Reflective Essay For The Regent University Counseling Program
My timeline on the progression on life events that have led me to my current situation as a master s

since I have been fascinated with how people think and what makes people act. The family around me
helped peak my interest for the reason that they have lived thought provoking lives. For example, my
mother left my father after being beat for ten years and how in my childhood I have seen how strong
she is and how that tragic moment in her life has shaped her worldview. My story starts further along

The Tort Law Against Three Plaintiffs
Answer: 1 The provided fact is mainly concerned intentional tort but, in a case, also there are also
some possible element of negligence. The answer will be based on Peter s (P) probable liability under
tort law against three plaintiffs; a man (A), Matildca(M) and Sara (S). The answer will also try to
discuss P s possible defences. According to the fact it appears that P may have committed assault
against A when P took a wild swing at A. P by his obvious act made a reasonable apprehension to A
that an immediate harm may happen with P s intended action. To prove this tort, the plaintiff need to
prove that P had an intentionally made this apprehension. According to the fact, P had intention to hit

However, according to the principle of transfer intent, intention may be possible to prove because the
principle states that the defendant will still be liable for his intentional tort even he did not have any
purpose or aim to do this. As M is injured by breaking nose and jaw, hence it is beyond doubt that
there is a harm. Considering the analysis. There is a high possibility to prove liability to M under the
tort of battery. However, P may be also liable under the tort of negligence because P had a duty not to
harm M which was breached and that breach of duty caused the M s injury. That injury would not
have happened if P did not breach his duty. The injury of M may be reasonably foreseeable because if
someone took a wild swing to attack an individual, then the injury or harm is easily predictable. By
taking account all the facts, P may be liable for both intentional tort and negligence. The third plaintiff
is S where P may be liable for Intentional Infliction of Emotional Distress (IED) and, may be, for
negligent as well. To establish liability under IED, S has to prove that she suffered damages because
extreme distress which caused by the action of P. according to the fact, when S saw the bleeding of M,
she lose her consciousness. The element of intention may not be found because P did not do anything

Outdoor Clothing clearly positions itself to consider what effects on the environment they will have in
the future. This is telling both the employees and stakeholders not only are they proving the best

Global Positioning System Essay
Global Positioning System
Wouldn t it be great if you could be sure that you would never be lost again? That you would know
exactly where you were at all times, whether at land, air, or sea. Well, that is possible with modern
technology. More specifically, that is possible with the help of GPS, the Global Positioning System.
GPS is a navigational tool that has recently become extremely popular because of it wide range of
uses. Whether you are a fisherman or an avid traveler, you could find some use for GPS. And with
GPS becoming more and more affordable, it won t belong until everyone is using it.

After taking a third measurement and a third sphere is imagined, the possible points are then narrowed
down to only two. These are the two points in which all three spheres intersect. In most cases, one of
the points can be immediately thrown out because it is an unreasonable answer. That leaves only the
correct position.
In order to measure the distance of the satellites, GPS receivers measure the time it takes for radio
signals sent from the satellite to reach the base station on Earth. Once we have the precise time it takes
we can plug that number into a simple equation and we have our answer.
Speed of light * the precise time = Distance of the Satellite
The speed of light is the easy part; it is 186,000 miles per hour. It is measuring the precise time that is
so difficult. To solve this problem, something called the Pseudo Random Code (PRC) was developed.
The PRC is a complicated sequence of on and off pulses that is given off by both the satellite and the
base station. The PRC from both the satellite and the base station are played at the exact same time
and are then compared. When played, the two PRCs will be slightly out of sync because one set of
signals has to travel from the satellite in space. The time is measured on the basis of this sync ratio and
the distance can then be calculated. The Global Positioning System (GPS) is used by an almost
endless amount of people and professions. Although originally designed for

Competitive Analysis Of The Walt Disney Company
Competitive Analysis
A business unit can be defined by a set of operating divisions that are organized by market, customer,
product, or other means, which essentially act as self sufficient businesses with separate profits.
(Thompson et al 2015).
A firm s competitive strength considers how it prices, costs and capabilities compare against their
major competitors. The Walt Disney Company faces a number of competitors across its various
business units.
First this includes theme parks, hotels and resorts, and Disney s cruise lines. Disney has parks, in
numerous global cities. In 2014 Disney had an 18% increase in operations (Gamble Turnipseed 2014).
The next competitive strength includes Walt Disney s cable networks, broadcast television networks,
television production and television station operations. Unit 2 represents Disney s highest performing
unit. Disney owns numerous domestic and international networks. Disney itself sees its Media
Networks as being a profitable unit for them
Another strength of Disney is that it is made up of live action and animated motion picture production,
music publishing and live theatrical productions. Studio entertainment has a low return on investment.
(Gamble Turnipseed 2014).
Children s book publishing and consumer products in retail make up another strength of Disney. In

Analyzing O Flaherty s Short Story The Sniper
Inside a Sniper s mind
Most people agree that a soldier is still a human when at war. O Flaherty, however, may say that war
turns humans into soldiers that kill without remorse until they have realized they just took human
lives. Furthermore, O Flaherty depicts said soldiers as having little regard for human beings. Using
irony and foreshadowing in his short story The Sniper O Flaherty shows that war turns a person into
an unpredictable soldier that views people as objects.
O Flaherty uses dramatic irony of a sniper unknowingly killing his brother to show that war makes
one a heartless killer, which emphasizes the effect that war can have on a person. After an intense
sniper duel, the sniper sprinted with adrenaline flowing through his veins, right before checking the
body: wondered did he know him and Perhaps he had been in his own company before the split in the

The Problem Of Police Brutality
Police brutality remains one of the most controversial, as well as the most serious human rights

well, when cruising or idling, some of the output of the combustion engine is fed to a generator
(merely the electric motor(s) running in generator mode[1]) which produces electricity to charge the
batteries. This contrasts with all electric cars which use batteries charged by an external source such as
the grid, or a range extending trailer. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A forgotten attempt was by the Bill Clinton administration with the Partnership for a New Generation
of Vehicles (PNGV)[3] program in September 29, 1993 that involved Chrysler, Ford, General Motors,
USCAR, the DoE, and other various governmental agencies to engineer the next efficient and clean
vehicle. The resulting hybrid prototypes[4] never made it into production as the program was replaced
by the hydrogen focused FreedomCAR initiative[5] of George W. Bush s administration in 2001.
In the intervening period, the widest use of hybrid technology was actually in diesel electric
submarines, which operate in essentially the same manner as hybrid electric cars. However, in this
case the goal was to allow operation underwater without consuming large amounts of oxygen, rather
than economizing on fuel. Since then, many submarines have moved to nuclear power, which can
operate underwater indefinitely, though a number of nations continue to rely on diesel electric fleets.
Automotive hybrid technology became successful in the 1990s when the Honda Insight and Toyota
Prius became available. These vehicles have a direct linkage from the internal combustion engine to
the driven wheels, so the engine can provide acceleration power. The 2000s saw development of plug
in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs), which can be recharged from the electrical power grid and don t
require conventional fuel for short

How Far Was Concern over National Security the Real Reason...
By the early twentieth century the Liberal Government was worried that Britain s military capability
and general military power was not as strong and it once was. Therefore, the Government s concern
over national security definitely influenced the decision for the reforms. However, there are three main
factors that also need to be taken into account when deciding if concern over national security was the
real reason for the reforms: the Social reasons, concerns for Britain s Empire and the Political motive.
The Social reasons played a large part in persuading the Liberals to reform. The detailed reports of
Booth and Rowntree, and the evidence which was brought to light, highlighted that nearly a 1/3 of
Britain s population lived in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Glasgow had three poorhouses: One in the city centre, Barhill in Springburn and Govan. The
percentage of the public relying on the Poor Law relief, by 1900, was 2.5%. This may seem very little
but this figure does not represent the number of people in Britain who were in poverty. Destitute
people who accepted help from the Poor Law became paupers and automatically lost many civil rights
such as the right to vote. By 1900 many critics of the Poor Law believed that it failed to deal with
poverty adequately. In addition to criticism of the Poor Law, the evidence discovered from both Booth
and Rowntree s studies concluded that there was a large percentage of Britain s population living in
poverty. Charles Booth, a London businessman who doubted the claims of socialist that a quarter of
the population lived in extreme poverty. Working with a team of researchers from 1886 1903, Booth s
work was based on hard, statistical facts, and not opinion. His book, The Life and Labour of the
people of London , consisting of 17 volumes, showed that 25% of London s population lived in
extreme poverty. Much more than the socialists claimed. The second investigation into poverty was
carried out by Seebohm Rowntree, in the city of York. After two years of research, he published a
book in 1901 which showed that almost 30% of York s population lived in extreme poverty. If York

Disadvantages Of Emulsifiers
2.2 EMULSIFIERS The term emulsifiers alludes to any ingredient that keeps disimilar to substances
(such as oil and water) from isolating. Many cosmetic products depends on emulsions small droplets
of oil dispersed in water or small droplets of water dispersed in oil. Since oil and water don t mix no
matter how much you shake, mix, emulsifiers are added to change the surface tension between the
water and the oil, producing a homogeneous and well mixed product with an even texture. Examples
of emulsifiers used in cosmetics include polysorbates, and laureth 4.(Professor Ben Selinger,2016)
2.2.1 POLYSORBATE Polysorbates 20 and 80 (Tween 20 and Tween 80) are utilized as a part of
formulation of biotherapeutic products for both preventing surface adsorption and as stabilizers
against protein aggregation. The polysorbates are amphipathic, nonionic surfactants made out of fatty
acid esters of polyoxyethylene sorbitan being polyoxyethylene sorbitan monolaurate for polysorbate
20 and polyoxyethylene sorbitan monooleate for polysorbate 80. The polysorbates used in the

The Laws Of Motion And Bouncing Balls
Ali Abdoussi 9/23/14
Prussing School 104/7th The Laws of Motion and Bouncing Balls
Welcome to The Laws of Motion and Bouncing Balls. This paper will be talking about how the laws
of motion play into how high a ball bounces. Sir Isaac Newton a man that lived in the 17th century.
During his life time he discovered many laws such as the laws of gravity, and the laws of motion.
There are three laws of motion: Inertia which means an objects motion will remain the same unless an
external force is applied to it. The second law is the law of force which is the most powerful of the
three laws this means that when you multiply the objects mass and acceleration you will find the
amount of force an object has. The final law is the law of Reciprocity which translates into there is an
equal and opposite reaction for every action. Now that we know the laws of motion the paper will
explain how the laws of motion play into the height a ball bounces on different surfaces. In the first
law of motion. Isaac Newton one said An object at rest will stay at rest, and an object in motion will
stay in motion at the same speed and in the same direction, unless it is acted upon by a force. Have
you ever wondered why a ball rolls farther on solid surfaces rather than on soft padded surfaces such
as grass and carpet?

Looking For Alibrandi Identity Analysis
Looking for Alibrandi Looking for Alibrandi demonstrates a realistic representation of youth identity
and the factors effecting adolescence. Josie faces issues that an adolescent teen would, struggling to
cope with teenage existence. She lives with her single mother and attends a prestigious private school,
where her snobbish classmates mock her Sicilian heritage. She contends with the dramas of teen
romance, divided between John and Jacob. When her family receives a visit from Michael, Josie is
overwhelmed when she discovers that he is also her father. It clearly shows her changes in perspective
on the life of an adolescent. The language features in this novel are relatable to teenage life events,
they make the reader feel concerned for the well being of the character and start to make them think
about possible endings. As interpreted from the quote of And when you d finished running you d be
thousands of miles away from people who love you and your problem would still be there except you
d have nobody to help you. And . People disappoint other people and they find it very hard to forgive.
The fact that Josie feels resent and rebelliousness I ll run one day. Run for my life. To be free and
think for myself...I ll run to be emancipated means that she is contributing to the representation of
adolescence. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Her ambition, her flaws, learning to know more about herself and the world, her relationships with her
family, her stress at school. these things are so vital for teenagers to reflect on, because it s often a
time of really huge feelings and huge issues and huge reactions. These are some aspects that make the
story realistic. This book has a positive effect on the representation of adolescents, it does not appear
to be intentionally controversial, the author was just writing exactly how teenagers are portrayed in
real life. But when talking Romeo and Juliet it is not a realistic novel. It is unrealistic because as stated
above teenage adolescents would not actually fall in love with each other after meeting for a day and
commit suicide for each other, this is one reason that makes the novel and representation of
adolescents unrealistic. When looking at the ending it is somewhat stereotypical both die after one day
of love and pretty much everyone dies because of two kid s infatuation with each

Garrigan In Idi Amin
Haile Selassie Emperor of Ethiopia was famously quoted as saying Throughout history, it has been the
inaction of those who could of acted; the indifference of those who should have known better; the
silence of the voice of justice when it mattered most; that has made it possible for evil to triumph. This
quote could relate no more so than in the novel The Last King Of Scotland with the protagonist
Nicholas Garrigan who continually takes no action against the atrocities he hears and witness whilst
he is Idi Amin s personal physician. We can view Garrigan in two different perspectives one being that
he is a good person who did nothing or the other being he is a good person that did bad things.
The novel is a memoir of Nicholas Garrigan, a young scottish doctor who moves to uganda in 1971
seeking adventure. He begins work at a small hospital in Mbarara however he soons moves to
kampala to become Idi Amin s personal physician. Once there things begin to turn for the worst in
uganda, Idi Amin begins to persecute certain ethical and political groups. Things however soon
become even worse with mass executions, Garrigan struggles with ethical choices whether to use his
position to step in and take action or to keep himself safe. He once again faces a moral dilemma when
Stone the British foreign office representative asks Garrigan to assassinate Amin in return for both
money and help to leave the country.
We often perceive Garrigan to be a bad person due to his continuous selfish

What Is Platonic Love In The Symposium
Plato has addressed Love from different viewpoint in the Symposium. Alcibiades speech in the
Symposium gives a perception about Platonic love which according to Plato is the kind of love that
involves affectionate relationship between men without sexual intimacy. In the Symposium,
Alcibiades enters into the symposium completely drunk and tries to flirt with Socrates and Agathon
and gives his speech. It seems like Alcibiades praises Socrates rather than love in his speech. He
compares Socrates s qualities to that of the Gods Silenus and Marsyas and tries to portray Socrates
greatness. Alcibiades admired Socrates for his wisdom and not for his beauty as Socrates was not a
physically attractive man. Alcibiades wanted to seduce him in order

  • 2. Later Model Of God Research Paper There are two absolutely different models of God during the biblical times. The one that we are accustomed to because it was passed on to Judaism and Christianity and has been with us ever since is the later God. The later God is found to be in the beginning of the sixth century of BCE to the end of the biblical time frame. This God is considered to be simultaneously everywhere at once. He is almighty and knowledgeable. He is very powerful and knows everything. The earlier model of God is found in many texts such as Genesis and Exodus, Joshua, and etc. Whereas the later model of God is not found in them. The earlier God in contrast to the later God goes from place to place. He is not everywhere at once. The book gives an example of the story of Tower of Babel that God states Let us go down and confuse their speech. This indicates that he is not present there with the people. He is apparently up, perhaps in heaven (midrash), since he states he has to go down. Another example the book provides entails the story of the Garden of Eden. It points out two things. First, that God ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The biblical scholars did not have a clear understanding of God and so they expressed themselves in ways it is easy for us readers to comprehend. The beginning of the bible describes God in a inferior/unsatisfactory way. A whole different way and a different model from God s being. But the older model is not to be forgotten. Kugel says in some ways it is more sophisticated than the later model that replaced it. I would respectfully disagree. I think the later model was more sophisticated. From my understanding, God is everywhere at once. He is powerful and superior and knows what is happening. I do not believe the earlier version where it states that he is only in one place and he can so call walk from place to place. I got taught that he is not directly perceivable but is omnipresent. • 3. Hurricane Katrina Case Study 1. Did human activity contribute to the severity of the storm, or was it an entirely natural disaster? Support your answer with evidence and citations. The severity of Hurricane Katrina was impacted largely by the location of its landfall. The storm was well tracked by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). The NOAA noted that the high pressure of the storm at landfall, the strength of the system and shallow waters offshore all were contributing factors to the severity of the storm. (Graumann, Houston, Lawrimore, Levinson, Lott, McCown, Stephens, Wuertz: 2005, pg 4). When the storm struck, however, it was found that those who were financially better off were able to evacuate easier, leaving those in lower income areas to remain amidst the devastation. Nearly a half million people were excluded from the cities, when FEMA camps were implemented as a means to reconstruct public housing. (Smith, 2006). The human activity leading up to the storm, including levees constructed on the shore as well as the NOAA announcement of a hurricane warning, had been intended to protect the residents of Louisiana and Mississippi. Unfortunately, efforts to prepare those who would be most devastated by the storm failed. The governmental response in the wake of the storm greatly worsened the devastation of the storm. What is called glory seeking was the government s way of encouraging the private sector to get involved with disaster relief. However, the Federal Emergency ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 14. The Pros And Cons Of The Collective Bargaining Process The NLRB regulates and determines whether or not an employer has committed an unlawful act of unfair labor practices during the collective bargaining negotiation process (Holley, Wolters Ross, 2012). During the collective bargaining process the labor union and the employer try to hash out labor relations differences. The goal is for a positive resolution of labor relations disputes between employers and employees. Positive labor relations are good for the economy and for the consumers. Settlement of these difference also create a positive working relationship between the employees and management and avoids work stoppages or economic losses. The collective bargaining process allows for mandatory and permissive subjects to be part of the collective bargaining process (Sockell Delaney, 1986). • 17. Privatization Reform During Latin America Conclusion Since the 1980s, transnational actors have disseminated ideas of education privatization throughout Latin America. Although by similar means, these policy ideas arrived at different historical moments at Chile and Argentina. Privatization ideas made its way in Chile carried by the influential Chicago boys, during the critical juncture of the authoritarian regime. The market based reform served the interests of the military regime, and faced very little resistance given the repression and dismantling of the teacher union, and the penetration of the economic logic in the Ministry of Education. Timing, carriers and weak opposition allowed a complete replacement of the domestic education policy. Later in democracy, state oriented education bureaucrats were not able to reverse the policy change. Although they tried to build on the inherited model and use the state as a way to correct the failures of the education market, the inconsistency between their goals and their means ended up reproducing and strengthening the privatized model. By contrast in Argentina, the economic perspective arrived timidly and late when the country was making its transition to democracy. The answer will be based on Peter s (P) probable liability under tort law against three plaintiffs; a man (A), Matildca(M) and Sara (S). The answer will also try to discuss P s possible defences. According to the fact it appears that P may have committed assault against A when P took a wild swing at A. P by his obvious act made a reasonable apprehension to A that an immediate harm may happen with P s intended action. To prove this tort, the plaintiff need to prove that P had an intentionally made this apprehension. According to the fact, P had intention to hit the A because A took a step toward P and A, ... However, according to the principle of transfer intent, intention may be possible to prove because the principle states that the defendant will still be liable for his intentional tort even he did not have any purpose or aim to do this. As M is injured by breaking nose and jaw, hence it is beyond doubt that there is a harm. Considering the analysis. There is a high possibility to prove liability to M under the tort of battery. However, P may be also liable under the tort of negligence because P had a duty not to harm M which was breached and that breach of duty caused the M s injury. That injury would not have happened if P did not breach his duty. The injury of M may be reasonably foreseeable because if someone took a wild swing to attack an individual, then the injury or harm is easily predictable. By taking account all the facts, P may be liable for both intentional tort and negligence. The third plaintiff is S where P may be liable for Intentional Infliction of Emotional Distress (IED) and, may be, for negligent as well. To establish liability under IED, S has to prove that she suffered damages because extreme distress which caused by the action of P. according to the fact, when S saw the bleeding of M, she lose her consciousness. In most cases, one of the points can be immediately thrown out because it is an unreasonable answer. That leaves only the correct position. In order to measure the distance of the satellites, GPS receivers measure the time it takes for radio signals sent from the satellite to reach the base station on Earth. Once we have the precise time it takes we can plug that number into a simple equation and we have our answer. Speed of light * the precise time = Distance of the Satellite The speed of light is the easy part; it is 186,000 miles per hour. It is measuring the precise time that is so difficult. To solve this problem, something called the Pseudo Random Code (PRC) was developed. The PRC is a complicated sequence of on and off pulses that is given off by both the satellite and the base station. The PRC from both the satellite and the base station are played at the exact same time and are then compared. When played, the two PRCs will be slightly out of sync because one set of signals has to travel from the satellite in space. The time is measured on the basis of this sync ratio and the distance can then be calculated. The Global Positioning System (GPS) is used by an almost endless amount of people and professions. This most commonly refers to gasoline electric hybrid vehicles, which use gasoline (petrol) to power internal combustion engines (ICEs), and electric batteries to power electric motors. Modern mass produced hybrids, such as the Toyota Prius, recharge their batteries by capturing kinetic energy via regenerative braking. As well, when cruising or idling, some of the output of the combustion engine is fed to a generator (merely the electric motor(s) running in generator mode[1]) which produces electricity to charge the batteries. The resulting hybrid prototypes[4] never made it into production as the program was replaced by the hydrogen focused FreedomCAR initiative[5] of George W. Bush s administration in 2001. In the intervening period, the widest use of hybrid technology was actually in diesel electric submarines, which operate in essentially the same manner as hybrid electric cars. Since then, many submarines have moved to nuclear power, which can operate underwater indefinitely, though a number of nations continue to rely on diesel electric fleets. During his life time he discovered many laws such as the laws of gravity, and the laws of motion. There are three laws of motion: Inertia which means an objects motion will remain the same unless an external force is applied to it. The second law is the law of force which is the most powerful of the three laws this means that when you multiply the objects mass and acceleration you will find the amount of force an object has. The final law is the law of Reciprocity which translates into there is an equal and opposite reaction for every action.
