2. The Human Nature Of Humans
Many researchers have tested the theory that humans are naturally war loving. A fair viewpoint,
from the article Evolutionary Life , is that human nature is not one thing, neither good nor bad
overall. People in general have been genetically endowed by evolution with a wide variety of
tendencies and capacities that respond to but are not necessarily controlled or determined by their
environment (Atlee). With this, it s fair to draw a line between how humans were made to act and
how they act today. In the earliest stages of humanlife through the present, humans have fought,
hunted, and killed their way through life. Today s difference to the past is not much different
besides the means we use to go about the deeds. Businessmen, politicians, and numerous other
professions utilize harmful tactics in order to get what they desire. For example, a politician
exposes the underlying evils of another candidate in order to gain votes, much like how the
infamous Salem Witch Trials were pursued in the late seventeenth century when others cried
witch in order to avoid being tortured and killed themselves. While one may argue that cavemen
were, in some aspects, biologically different than we are today and that they were not exposed to
as much as we are, one cannot argue that we are not still instinctively caveman like. We hunt and
gather food; we create new and improved ways of killing enemies or food source; and when we don
t like how or what someone else is

3. Threats To The Mongol Empire
Communication is vital when you are control of a large area. The Mongols didn t have modern
technology to keep up on things going on in different parts of the Mongol Empire, so they had to
come up with alternative ways to keep in constant contact. If the United States Government didn t
have contact with their citizens and other government officials, there would be complete chaos.
Without communication, you would have no idea what has happened in different parts of the world.
If there was ever a threat to the U.S., there would be no other way to get vital information then to
send someone to transfer information to different parts of the countries. That is actually what
Genghis Khan did. He sent horses and people to transfer information

4. The Watergate Scandal Of The United States
Negligent Nixon: The Watergate Scandal
The President of the United States is one of the most coveted, but difficult positions to obtain in
the world. Every four years a new leader is elected to uphold the supreme laws of the land that
make up our constitution. The president is sworn into office on their inaugural day in January
where they are sworn to faithfully execute and support all laws in the constitution, delegate
international matters, and be an advocate for the people. As the new leader of the United States of
America and, the free world as a whole, the President of the United States has many roles and
functions, including: Commander in Chief, Chief Diplomat, Chief Legislator, Chief Magistrate,
Chief Executive, Party Leader, Chief of State, Foreign Policy Director, and Popular Leader.
The President of the United States is one of the most powerful people in the world, and therefore
the people place an immense amount of trust in them. The people want someone they can trust
because they are who will represent the entire country. When an elected President does not uphold
or stay true to their duties it can cause uproar within society. If a president acts in a way that
smears their reputation it is very difficult for them to regain the trust and support of the citizens.
For many, a strong bond is now broken and cannot be repaired. There have been few presidents
who have broken bonds with the American people, in particular: Richard Nixon. Nixon s

5. God Is A Contractual Relationship Between God And God
A covenant is a contractual relationship between two parties, usually a king and his followers.
The covenant relationship between God and the people of Israel is strong. God makes
covenants with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. For these covenants to be strong there needs to be
loyalty and faithfulness on both sides. The Mishnah emphasizes this relationship in many of the
texts, this relationship is most emphasized in the sections of prayer and festivals. The section of
prayers is called zera im or seeds, it literally means the availability of agricultural products in
Israel. This connects to prayer because in order for the land to be rich of agricultural products
by God, the people of Israel need to pray and show gratitude to God. In the chapter the Life of the
Torah , there is a section about the daily life of the Jew and much of the day consists of prayer.
There are very specific times for prayer and recitation of the Shema and Tefillah. The Mishnah
requires Jews pray before and after meals. The sages have many rules for blessing over food,
there are different prayers for different types of food. They sages also require that the Jews say
grace after meals, this prayer requires more components than prayers before meals. They thank
him for the land, ask him to rebuild the temple, sustain his people, bless the host and hostess,
and send peace to all of Israel. In the first section in Grace After Meals: Thanking God the
Provider , the leader says For he is God who sustains all, doest good to all, and provides food for
all creatures he has created. Blessed art thou, O Lord, who dost sustain all (696). These prayers
are important to Jews because this shows that they are faithful to God and appreciate his work for
them. The covenant here is if they stay faithful and gratuitous to God then God will rebuild
Jerusalem, create peace for all of Israel and provide them with land and agriculture. Overall, the
Rabbi s do not disagree on this topic. They all believe as long as they recite the benedictions at the
right times and for the right things, then the covenant between God and the people of Israel will
remain strong. Also, the section in Mishnah about the different festivals and celebrations highlight
the covenant

6. What Is The Reflection Of The Movie Shottas
For this assignment, I decided to reflect on the film Shottas . The film begins in the streets of
Kingston, Jamaica home of Biggs and Wayne, the two main characters. They lived within a very
dangerous and violent town, which drove them into their own violent lifestyle. As young men, how
the movie starts off, they rob the local drug dealers of a gun for a premeditated robbery. The money
allowed for them to purchase visas to come to Miami, Florida. While in the United States, as
adults, the two continue their criminal activities leading them to be deported back to their home in
Jamaica. Mad Max and Wayne, who was deported years before Biggs made his return, had already
formed a striving extortion business. Wayne made it mandatory for all... Show more content on

Analysis
When it comes to extortion, in my opinion, there are different levels when it comes to classifying it
as an organized crime. As young men, the boys decided to rob and shoot a delivery truck driver, in
order, to rob him of his earnings. They commited a robbery, however, it modded them into become
disciplined organized criminals and extortionist. I call this a minor because of the money they
robbed the driver of was nothing compared to the amounts of money they were extorting from the
upperworld and underworld people of power. Their behavior reflects the behaviors they have seen
first hand within their communities. The young children within the community are exposed first
hand to the violence of the local gangs and crimes. At this time, I believe, the issue was with the
Jamaican systems, as in educational and law enforcement. Along with the issue of the communities
lack of attention towards their new generations, is the issue of corruption. Aside from law
enforcement being able to keep up with the criminal activity, and being able to stop it, is the
political officials being corrupted. The film reflects on how the political world sometimes becomes
involved in the organized crime world. Reflecting on a reading we did this semester, when the
upperworld connects itself with organized criminals, it does not mean the official themself are
involved in crimes themselves. However, it allows for the organized crime to succeed and become
a thriving

The American civil war
This text will be a summary of the most gruesome battle in the entirety of the civil war as well as a
little bit about the causes and effect of the Gettysburg battle. Which is arguably the most important
moment of the entire war.
The Civil war waged for an entire 4 years. Between the year 1861 and 1865. And the opponents in
the war were the United States against the Confederate states. This infamous split was due to the
fact that Lincoln became commander in chief of the United States, and because publicly pitted
himself against slavery and wished to work against the abolishment. The fact that this was an open
opinion led to great upset, mostly in the south were nearly the entire economy was based around

8. Charles Darwin and Galapagos
Charles Darwin arrived at the Galapagos in 1835 ready to record everything he saw. Herman
Melville got there in 1841 with different goals. They were both young men when they took this
journey to raid the islands: Darwin raided in the name of science and Melville for food (Howarth,
99). After their respective journeys, Darwin and Melville wrote two different books describing the
same islands. The respective books made the headlines after they were written. This paper will
compare Charles Darwins The Voyage of The Beagle and Herman Miller s The Encantadas in an
attempt to show how their writing of the biological factors in the Galapagos was skewed by the
time they wrote, their mood when writing and their motive to be on the island.
Darwin was on the Beagle to gather specimens and spy on the Spanish colonial defenses. To keep
a detailed record everything he saw, Darwin sent immediate reports in letters during the trip.
When he got back to England, Darwin started diligently producing volumes of the zoological and
geological phenomena he found in during the voyage (Howarth, 101). One of the species he
records is the finch. He noticed how the different finch species had evolved to meet the nutrition
available in their habitat. His detailed letters gave him access to the information he needed to
describe the organisms he had seen when he began to write his book. He was on the island to
collect specimen and so his writing explained in great detail the specimens he had found and

9. The, And, By Ernest Holmes
Ernest Holmes addresses a trepidation we may have when giving: our resources will be
temporarily depleted. It is common sense that the more we give, the less we have; but there is a
principle at work which defies common sense, because the appearance of loss and lack is
deceptive. Once we have sown a seed our hands are empty, but the soil is full and soon we will
have our hands full with the harvest of that seed. If we had held onto that seed, there would be
no harvest and we would eventually be empty handed. However, giving in a principled manner
does not incur a loss, but gains. Giving, as a matter of principle, is the difference between
gaining more or having less. Of course, if we go through the motions of giving appearing to
give, but actually throwing money away in an unprincipled manner, then we have simply
wasted our time, and our treasure. Not every seed sown, grows; some fall on hard, stony ground
and never take root. Not every prayer is heard and answered; some fall on deaf ears our own.
Having ears, we hear not. Having eyes, we see not. And having our hands full, we give not. It is a
shame, because we could give, have and enjoy more.
DIMINISHED EXPECTATIONS
Holmes relates the responsiveness of Life to the idea that Nature abhors a vacuum. In an infinite
universe, there cannot be an empty void, a place where God is not. All space, all vessels, all
containers must be filled with something. So, when something is drawn out of one place, more is
drawn

10. `` Stolen Legacy, By George James, A Guyanese Historian...
Throughout time, there have been deep misconceptions on who the fathers of philosophy and
greatest contributors to civilization. In the 1954 book, Stolen Legacy, George James, a Guyanese
historian and author, argued that the highly acclaimed Greek philosophy actually originated in
ancient Egypt. James arguments on Ancient Egyptbeing the basis of Greek philosophy will be
discussed as it relates to the goals of Egyptian theory of salvation and Egyptian Mystery system.
The Stolen Legacy begins with uncovering how the Egyptian s held a Mystery System, which was
the oldest in the world considered a Secret Order that required membership and pledged secrecy.
Thus the Egyptians developed secret systems of writing and teaching that if forbade others from
imitating their work. It was not until the Greeks were allowed into the temples that the invasion of
Alexander the Destructor plundered the temples and libraries and allowed the Greeks to gain
access to the ancient books. James further explains that this is where Aristotle built his school of
thought and legacy. In essence, this explanation is the basis of James view.
The education of Egyptian priests and the legacy of the Mystery System show that Egypt was the
source of higher education in the ancient world, futhermore, key Ionian and Italian philosophers
such as Pythagoras, Thales, Democritus had obtained their education from Egyptian priests despite
their acclaim as being the greatest philosophers to date. The teachings of

13. Whole Foods Market ( Wfm ) Essay
Whole Foods Market (WFM) is a leading natural and organic food supermarket founded in
Austin, Texas by four local business people: John Mackey and Renee Lawson Hardy, owners of
Safer Way Natural Foods, and Craig Weller and Mark Skiles, owners of Clarksville Natural
Grocery. WFM opened its first store in 1980, they staffed their first store with only 19 workers,
the store was an immediate success partly because at the time there were less than half a dozen
organic stores in the entire country. The original WFM store opened on September in 1980 after
Safer Way and Clarksville Natural Foods partnered, the 10,500 square feet location was quite
larger than the standard health food store of the 80 s. The business had its first hiccup a year
after they opened their doors, their entire inventory was lost and most of the equipment was
damaged by a historic flood that devastated the city of Austin. The owners did not have
insurance but they were able to quickly get back on their feet due to the volunteered help of
neighbors and customers as well as the help of creditors, vendors, and investors who provided
breathing room for them. The store reopened just after 28 days of the flood. The expansion of
the business happened quickly in the late 80 s. New locations appeared in Houston and Dallas,
then New Orleans. In 1989, WFM expanded to the West Coast and opened a store in Palo Alto,
CA. WFM started acquiring several different natural foods chains such as Wellspring Grocery of

One of the most emotional movies I ve ever seen. Spielberg has documented evil and made a
moving tribute to the victims and survivors of the Holocaust. The story centers around the true
story of Oskar Schindler, a war profiteer who paid to save the lives of Jews during the holocaust.
The film presents Schindler as a business man, a womanizer, a profiteer, and a humanitarian. This
contrasts allow for a beautiful character development. His interactions with Ralph Fiennes, who is
very chilling as the commandant of the concentration camp Amon Goeth, shows him to be a man
struggling with hypocrisy. He disapproves of Goeth s cold blooded murder and harsh treatment of
the Jews, but he clearly enjoys Goeth s company. He has a hard time reconciling

ONE.
To start a business, businesses must conduct the business targets and raise the capital through
business processes. They must deal with all of suppliers, customers, products and services, etc.
Business processes are defined as a set of activities that will complete specific organization goals for
particular customers. A firm well organized business process can demonstrate through the ability of
organizing work activities, managing information, and improving production technology.
With today new technology, information system is a set of collecting, processing, storing, and
distributing information to support and control an organization. Information system makes it
possible for firms to manage their information to make better decisions and speed up the
accomplishment of business processes. In order to use information systems effectively, one needs to

Albert Einstein once said that The most beautiful experience we can have is the mysterious the
fundamental emotion which stands at the cradle of true art and true science . This is the feeling I
experienced when I had started observing and analyzing things around me as a kid. Every query

Electronics and Communication is an industry that has changed the way we live to a large
extent. It is the industry that is going to shape our lives for many more years to come. My
decision for choosing the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering as my major was
not a hasty one, it was a field that had always fascinated me since I was a kid. The way the light
in the refrigerator automatically switches on/off as it s door is opened or closed; how the
channels of a television can be tuned just by clicking a button on the remote control; how we can
talk to people who live at the opposite end of the world through a telephone; every small mystery
fascinated me but the answers were nor completely conceivable to me and egged me on to know

Events that unfold in a person s life occur because of uncontrollable circumstances around them
as well as their actions. This balance of power of these two forces is never the same with
different people. Thus, people fall into two general categories, those at the mercy of the
uncontrollable and those who exert more control over their lives than outside forces do. Francis
Aloysius Phelan in William Kennedy s novel, Ironweed, falls into this second category. Francis is

24. The Character of Don John in Much Ado About Nothing Essay
In the play Much ado about nothing , Don John is a puppet whose strings are pulled by various
characters and the society in which he lives. Although he does monkey businesses like every
character in the play, he is the one who gets harshly judged and punished for it. His villainy is not
an innate trait but rather, he chooses it to distinguish him from others. Don John is the illegitimate
half brother of Don Pedro in the play. Don Pedro is the Prince of Aragon and is highly respected
throughout the play, whereas Don John is treated with cautious attention and indifference. In Act
one scene three, Leonato greets Don Pedro rather enthusiastically and respectfully, Never came

He even says that he prefers being hated rather than people feigning their emotions, because of his
illegitimate blood, It better fits my blood to be disdained of all than to fashion a carriage to rob love
from any (1.3.22 23). He labels himself a plain dealing villain (1.3.25), which suggests his
identification within the play, as he is a bastard born. His birth status automatically makes him
untrustworthy, I am trusted with a muzzle, and enfranchised with a clog. Therefore I have
decreed not to sing in my cage. If I had my mouth I would bite (1.3.2 28), and a villain without
meaning to, so he s content with calling himself a rogue. Don John completely trusts his
confidants, Borachio and Conrad, as they are the only ones who seem to have faith in him. In the
beginning, when Don John asks them You are both sure and will assist me? Conrad replies To the
death, my lord (1.3.54 55). That line pretty much seals the deal and Don John makes them his
confidantes. This is also because the rest of the society doesn t trust him because of his
illegitimacy and self proclamation of being a villain. When Borachio comes with the news of an
approaching marriage, Don John plans to create mischief for the wedding. But after he comes to
know that Claudio is the one getting married, he shows off his animosity towards Claudio and
hopes he can spoil the wedding, Come, come let us thither. This may prove

Berlin Wall
The Berlin Wall, for twenty eight years, separated friends, families, and a nation. A lot of suffering
began for Germany when World War II commenced, but by the end of the war Germany was in the
mists of a disaster waiting to happen. After WWII was over Germany was divided into four parts.
The United States, Great Britain, and France controlled the three divisions that were formed in the
Western half; and the Eastern half was controlled by the Soviet Republic. The Western divisions
eventually united to make a federal republic, while the Eastern divisions became communist.
Even though Berlin lay deep within the Soviet sector, the Allies thought it best to divide this

By noon the riots had escalated and the workers from East Germany were marching through the

many others, they even shot into the crowds in West Germany that were rioting. The people of
East Germany realized that they were trapped in East Germany, and if they wanted out they would
have to risk their lives in doing so. In the late 1950 s approximately 8,000 to 10,000 people from
East Germany left and each day they would move further and further west.
Many of these people were from East Berlin, and the government of East Germany knew that they
couldn t afford to loose all of these people. Their economy was suffering already, and with the loss
of so many people the economy would be hopeless. Many of the people that were leaving were
skilled trades men, or members of professions. There were many escape tunnels dug under the wall.
The tunnel system was an unexpected resistance movement dug by hundreds of East Berlin

Electrolytes are a very important part in our lives, whether we know it or not. My topic that I
chose is on the effectiveness of electrolyte drinks and athletic performance. It is understandable that
hydration is key, and that electrolytes really help the body. But sometimes people just want to know
more about things. So, in this essay, we will divulge into the deeper understandings or electrolytes
and their affect on our body. Firstly, we need to understand exactly what an electrolyteis. The
scientific definition of an electrolyte is that it is a chemical compound that conducts electricity by
changing into ions when melted or dissolved into a solution. That might seem kind of complicated,
but just thinking of elemental compounds such as... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
An example again would be like an acid that can dissolve in water. If it creates some sort of an
electrical current in a substance, it is an electrolyte. In the body, however, electrolytes are minerals
in your blood and other body fluids that carry an electric charge ( Disabled World ). Common
electrolytes found in the body include Calcium, Phosphorous, Chloride and Magnesium.
Electrolytes are what allow a cell to do miscellaneous necessities, such as generating energy,
maintaining stability in cell walls, etc. They can do this by generating electricity, contracting
muscles, moving fluids from one place or another, etc. Electrolytes are very important in helping
the body function. They allow the body to work and function very well. So what happens when
you don t have enough electrolytes? Many things can happen, and they aren t that good. Sodium
imbalance is probably one of the biggest problems. A number of things can happen here, including
hyponatremia. If you break down the word, this word does not seem to complicated to define.
Hypo means to have too little of something. Natr is sodium, and emia is in the blood. So, this is

the relationship between letter symbols and the sound they represent. Levels two and three of the
curriculum focus more on the concept of phonemic awareness. The concept of word families is
prominent throughout levels two and three. The Go Phonics curriculum teaches students the idea
that once they know how to decode the word pat , they will also be able to decode the words bat,

parts of the word. For example, if the student knows how to spell pat , they should also know how

must memorize whole words. This method of teaching is not ideal as students can only memorize
so many words. Before long, the student will encounter longer, tougher words and without

Amy Tan s The Joy Luck Club is a truly rich novel. The concept of invisible strength caught my

Waverly and Waverly s boyfriend Rich. My questions are how Lindo achieved this strength, why
she did it and how it effected herself, Waverly and Rich.
It is fundamental to the analysis to investigate Lindo s past in China. It is clear that she is a
much loved child. In my case, people could see my value. I looked and smelled like a precious
buncake, sweet with a good clean color (42). In my opinion, that kind of self worth comes from
unconditional love. This helps her when she is left at twelve by her family. ... Show more content on

Consequently, when we then meet Lindo s daughter Waverly, her first words are: I was six when

the art of playing with people, the way her mother does. There is a dark side to this invisible force;
Lindo cannot refrain from manipulating even her most loved ones.
In contrast to her mother Waverly is not strong, but when she reaches puberty her mother s
overpowering interest in her career as a chess champion makes her rebel. At one point she
screems: Why do you have to use me to show off? If you want to show off, then why don t you

Waverly stops playing chess and life continues without a word. But she cannot challenge her
mother and decides to play again. Lindo is furious: It is not so easy anymore! (166). The cause
of Lindo s anger is that Waverly is completely unaware of the sacrifices Lindo has had to make,

The Overpopulation of the Snow Goose in North America

The purpose of this paper is to explore available research on the overpopulation of the Snow Goose
on the North American continent. The snow goose has been rising in population since the middle
of the century and has been escalating so much it is destroying their natural habitat. Wildlife
managers have just recently begun to implement strategies to combat this problem. Mainly through
the use of hunters the managers are trying to curb the population growth.

Hunting of the Greater Snow Goose was banned in the us from 1931 75 (Abraham and Jeffries
1998). Hunting was not allowed to promote population numbers, and once started in 1975 did
not have a high harvest. The LSGO and ROGO starting in the middle of the 60 s and continually
have extended their nesting range south into less extreme climate (Abraham and Jeffries 1998).
It has also been suggested that since birds are now living longer the older adults are now leading
the less wary young to safer sites and out of hunter s range (Ingstrup 1998). Ingstrup also suggests
that the artic may be warming and as Abraham and Jeffries cited there has been shown a
correlation between the snow melt and survival of nesting birds and their young. According to
Hodge the annual kill by hunters in 1970 neared 40% but in 1994 the rate had dropped to less than
8%. Thus allowing a great deal of the adult population to return to nesting sites in the spring.
Impact on habitat
The snow geese still nest in a primarily salt marsh environment. The geese have a detrimental
feeding behavior in which they pull up the marsh grass by the roots. This behavior is know as
grubbing and when done in mass quantities can destroy whole marshes for decades. A project
known as the Hudson Bay Project: Ecosystem Studies and Conservation of Coastal Arctic Tundra

A two party system is a form of party system where two major political parties dominate voting in
nearly all elections. As a result, all, or nearly all, elected offices end up being held by candidates
chosen by one of the two major parties. Under a two party system, one of the two parties typically
holds a majority in the legislature and is usually referred to as the majority party while the other is

Advantages,: It can lead to political stability which leads, in turn, to economic growth, two party

on the ballot, the problem with having only two parties is that the nation loses the ability for
things to bubble up from the body politic and give voice to things that aren t being voiced by the
major parties. Multi party governments permit wider and more diverse viewpoints in government,

female characters unlike the male, are all created as if to say that women are not capable of being

36. Classification Of Data Mining Techniques
Abstract
Data mining is the process of extracting hidden information from the large data set. Data mining
techniques makes easier to predict hidden patterns from the data. The most popular data mining
techniques are classification, clustering, regression, association rules, time series analysis and
summarization. Classification is a data mining task, examines the features of a newly presented
object and assigning it to one of a predefined set of classes. In this research work data mining
classification techniques are applied to disaster data set which helps to categorize the disaster data
based on the type of disaster occurred in worldwide for past 10 decade. The experimental
comparison has been conducted among Bayes classification algorithms (BayesNet and NaiveBayes)
and Rules Classification algorithms (DecisionTable and JRip). The efficiency of these algorithms is
measured by using the performance factors; classification accuracy, error rate and execution time.
This work is carried out in the WEKA data mining tool. From the experimental result, it is observed
that Rules classification algorithm, JRip has produced good classification accuracy compared to
Bayes classification algorithms. By comparing the execution time the NaiveBayes classification
algorithm required minimum time.

Nationalism was formed with the idea that a nation is made up of people who are joined together

the Congress of Vienna could not make people forget and although the first try at Nationalism had

Touch Football was only formalized in the 1970 s and is now played in all of Australia. Coaches
of Rugby teams used variations of for offseason activities. The game came to be known as Touch
Rugby/Football, now simply known as touch. The main differences in the rules of the game of
touch and rugby league is that there is no tackling you have to touch the attacking player instead,
kicking is not allowed, the dummy half cannot get touched and the ball is not allowed to drop to the
ground.
In the game of touch there are three positions and two players at each position on the field, the

down the field in attack and to close down the defence. The predominant energy system used at a
professional level is the lactic acid system but as they are subbed off regularly and at a senior
high school level we do not have the luxury of enough players to sub on the energy system used
changes to the aerobic system. Knowledge of rucking patterns and organisation helps make a great

The key roles in the position of link are to set up tries for the wing position and controlling the
defensive and offensive line. The focal energy system used by the link position is the lactic acid
system. The ability to find gaps in the defence separates good links from great ones.
Lastly, the wing position, finishes off the set plays by scoring

fat and the other in normal chow diet. The rats that were fed the fat enriched diet showed some
symptoms of anxiety and forgetfulness, while the other rats were seemingly okay. In these
findings, Maynard makes and Association claim that High fat diets can cause Depression and
other psychological risks. The article does not advocate for a change in diet, but does not give any
reference to other possible causes to the lab results.
Summary: Biological Psychiatry Journal
The study intended to look at the gut microbiome that is naturally present within the gut. The
research team of the Louisiana State University designed an experiment with lab rats to predict how
the manipulation of the gut microbiome with a high fat diet would affect their brain

43. Epic In Beowulf
What is the purpose of an epic? There must be a logical explanation to how they could still exist
after all this time. Even stranger most people do not realize how regularly they show up. For
example, when they read a story, watch a movie, or even play a video game, each and every one
of them gives a story with an epic hero. Epics play a huge part in the world s history from the B.C.
ages to now. They show their dreams and values from there culture. Even now in America s culture
they play a bigger part then anyone could ever imagine. People do not realize that [everyone] must
fight [their] own Grendels and dragons [as well as their own] inner and outer demons, as said on
page 55. Although from different time periods, both Beowulf, from the epic poem... Show more

Beowulf s people loved him, as seen when it says kindest to his people and keenest to win fame,
(842). Captain Americas people, on the other hand, did not love him as much instead they kind
of made fun of him but he still achieves fame later on. Steve Rogers believes in god, they know
this because in the Avengers, he tells Black widow that there is only one god. While in Beowulf,
they do not, as shown on page 7 where it says the Anglo Saxon England cutler believes in
animinsm. They also differ in the sense that Beowulf does not save the prisoner Grendel s mom
takes, this proven when it says Edgetho s son, and died there, (628). While Captain America saves
his friend and the POW from the Red Skull. The last big one, Beowulf dies after his last battle,
this evident when it says, twelve warriors road around the tomb, (829). In Captain America the
First Avenger it shows that he survived the airship crash but gets unfrozen after 70 years. Both
Beowulf and Steve Rogers share their similarities and difference that represent their culture, but
why do we tell epic stories like

44. Red Panda Decline
For the red pandas size they have a long gestation period which lasts approximately 135 days, on
average they have two offspring at a time but this can range between one and four a litter. Red
pandas grow slowly so they do not become sexually mature until they are 18 months old, but 80%
of red panda cubs do not live to the age of maturity. Once the red pandareaches sexual maturity it
can continue to reproduce up until death, mating usually occurs during the winter season from
January to mid March and give birth around June. During the mating season a female red panda
will generally mate with more than one male to ensure fertilization, the male red panda will attract
the female by making a rawr like sound and if another male is near the two... Show more content on

Due to the lack of knowledge about this species, the red panda was first recorded by the
International Union for the Conservation of Nature (and Natural Resources,) also known as
IUCN, as Vulnerable in 1994. Shortly after this revelation there was an increase in interest, by
conservationists, to pursue additional information and protection for this species. In 1996, the red
panda was assessed and digressed to the Endangered status; the species remained that way for 12
years until another assessment was taken, and showed improvement in 2008, recording the red
panda as Vulnerable once again. Unfortunately, due to an increase of human activity on the red
panda habitat has spurred another decline in the population for the red panda. Angela Glatston, a
red panda expert, assisted in the evaluation of the red panda for the IUCN in 2015; Glatston
concluded her study and wrote via an email interview. There is a structured form to complete
which asks for information on distribution, numbers, threats, etc. Then I looked at criteria for
status. The information on red panda suggested endangered so that was my recommendation. This
report and recommendation are reviewed by the IUCN, and in this case they were accepted
(2016). As of April 2015, according to the IUCN, the red panda has returned to its status as
