INTRODUCTION
In more and more schools today, teachers are
working in teams to create a new way to of delivering
information to student. Team teaching involves a group of
instructors who work together co-operatively and purposefully.
In regular meetings, these team teaches set goal for their course
brain storm ideas, prepare individual lesson plans, designs
syllabi and evaluate results of implemented ideas. Approach of
teaching as team allows for a higher level of interaction between
teachers and their peers
DEFINITON ON TEAM TEACHING
1. Team teaching is also called collaborative teaching or co-
teaching.
2. It may be defined as an instructional strategy in which two or
more teachers are responsible for teaching a course or a group
of student.
3. Team teaching can be used in K-12 class rooms as well as
college –level or graduate courses.
4. Simply: it means a group of instructors working purposefully,
regularly and co-operatively to help a group of students of any
age learn.
OBJECTIVES
1. Desire on part of head of the institution that team teaching
should be feature of his /her school.
2. co-operative amongst teacher comprising the team.
3. Planning who will teach which topic and when
availability of material and equipment.
4. The acceptability of this approach on the part of the
student. Some times sections may be combined for the
purpose .the students should not resent or protest .
THE MAIN OBJECTIVES ARE:
ADVANTAGES
1. It can be best utilized in the step of evaluation. all the teacher get
opportunity to evaluate.
2. Provide many opportunities to the member students for
participating in discussion .
3. It provide stimulus to the idea of the pupils and teachers.
4. It develop strong will and responsibility of participating among the
pupils and teachers.
5. It provide opportunities for developing human relations.
6. The pupil can have maximum opportunities of facing maximum
teacher specialist
7. Pupil can gain the advantage of special knowledge of the
different teachers.
8. It is economically useful in terms of time and energy.
9. The main utility is the improvement in the quality of instruction
DISADVANTAGES
1. Lack of co-planning time, the time during the day when they
can meet and prepare lessons.
2. As students work with teachers, they begin to learn each
teachers unique expectations one half of the teaching higher
expectations and then pupil confuse.
3. Increased student dependency.
4. Noise challenges.
5. It makes more demand on time and energy.
6. Re- thinking courses team teaching method is inconvenient
7. Salaries may have to reflect the additional responsibilities
undertaken by team members.
8. Discussions can be draining and group decisions takes longer.
9. Non professional staff members could take over some
responsibilities.
CONCLUSION
Through this presentation we can conclude that:
1. Team teaching improves the quality of teaching as various
experts approach the same topic from different angles.
2. working in teams spreads responsibility encourages
creativity, deepens friendships and builds community
among teachers.
3. The team teaching acts teaching burdens and boosts
morale

  • 3. INTRODUCTION In more and more schools today, teachers are working in teams to create a new way to of delivering information to student. Team teaching involves a group of instructors who work together co-operatively and purposefully. In regular meetings, these team teaches set goal for their course brain storm ideas, prepare individual lesson plans, designs syllabi and evaluate results of implemented ideas. Approach of teaching as team allows for a higher level of interaction between teachers and their peers
  • 4. DEFINITON ON TEAM TEACHING 1. Team teaching is also called collaborative teaching or co- teaching. 2. It may be defined as an instructional strategy in which two or more teachers are responsible for teaching a course or a group of student. 3. Team teaching can be used in K-12 class rooms as well as college –level or graduate courses. 4. Simply: it means a group of instructors working purposefully, regularly and co-operatively to help a group of students of any age learn.
  • 5. OBJECTIVES 1. Desire on part of head of the institution that team teaching should be feature of his /her school. 2. co-operative amongst teacher comprising the team. 3. Planning who will teach which topic and when availability of material and equipment. 4. The acceptability of this approach on the part of the student. Some times sections may be combined for the purpose .the students should not resent or protest . THE MAIN OBJECTIVES ARE:
  • 6. ADVANTAGES 1. It can be best utilized in the step of evaluation. all the teacher get opportunity to evaluate. 2. Provide many opportunities to the member students for participating in discussion . 3. It provide stimulus to the idea of the pupils and teachers. 4. It develop strong will and responsibility of participating among the pupils and teachers. 5. It provide opportunities for developing human relations. 6. The pupil can have maximum opportunities of facing maximum teacher specialist 7. Pupil can gain the advantage of special knowledge of the different teachers. 8. It is economically useful in terms of time and energy. 9. The main utility is the improvement in the quality of instruction
  • 7. DISADVANTAGES 1. Lack of co-planning time, the time during the day when they can meet and prepare lessons. 2. As students work with teachers, they begin to learn each teachers unique expectations one half of the teaching higher expectations and then pupil confuse. 3. Increased student dependency. 4. Noise challenges. 5. It makes more demand on time and energy. 6. Re- thinking courses team teaching method is inconvenient 7. Salaries may have to reflect the additional responsibilities undertaken by team members. 8. Discussions can be draining and group decisions takes longer. 9. Non professional staff members could take over some responsibilities.
  • 8. CONCLUSION Through this presentation we can conclude that: 1. Team teaching improves the quality of teaching as various experts approach the same topic from different angles. 2. working in teams spreads responsibility encourages creativity, deepens friendships and builds community among teachers. 3. The team teaching acts teaching burdens and boosts morale
