reacted to the suicide attacks carried out by Al Qaeda on United States soil. The
initial reaction by political pundits and politicians alike was that the only cause of

suicide bombing and try to determine what is the root cause of these violent acts.

conclusion, that military occupation is the main factor driving suicide terrorism

The American Educational system, which many of us students have become familiar
with, did not come about instantaneously. What we have now is the result of many
decades of development and policy making in legislation. Though Parochial schools
were used in the U.S. as early as 1750, and Government funded public schools began
cropping up after the Revolutionary war, our educational system s pace of
development was relatively slow up until around the mid 19th century when the first
states began passing laws that made schooling compulsory to all those who had the
opportunity to attend. By the early 1900s, twelve years of education became the
standard across the nation, a standard that has withstood the test of time and is still in
place today. The average school day in the U.S. is 6.5 hours, and students are
expected to attend 180 total days of school per grade term. To supplement this, on
average the U.S. spends more per capita on education than any other country in the
world. Though we spend much, the results don t directly translate to nation wide
success in schools. In 2014, the U.S. was ranked 14th globally in education. Many
attribute this to the average length of the school day in America, and others propose
an overall increase in total instructional hours within American schools.

Chapter 1 This chapter was very interesting to me. I feel this way because it opened
my eyes about what I m reading and how I m reading it. For example when Foster
was explaining the story he began talking about a quest. Now when I was reading
the passage, the word quest didn t even pop in my mind. I thought it was just a
regular kid going to the store to get some bread. Now I understand how to pick the
story apart and find a quest within that. He also explained the parts of a quest

This project will develop a strategy to help Unit Ministry Teams increase Soldier use
of Army Chaplain services by increasing Soldiers awareness of the absolute
confidentiality of Chaplains. Society generally understands confidentiality as keeping
personal information secret or private. However, this dissertation carries a more
doctrinal understanding of the term confidentialityin the context of privileged military
communications.
In general, confidentiality refers to keeping personal information secret or private.
However, there are technical distinctions in the military when it comes to closely held
communications, and military Chaplains come across these in their ministry:
privileged communication, confidential communication, sacramental/confessional ...
Some of these Chaplains have communications that takes place as part of sacramental
confession in their denominations and endorsing agencies. Sacramental/confessional
communications exist in a religious relationship, where a confessing person
communicates with a religious official. Generally, the relationship and
communication involve the confessing person finding solace or forgiveness for sin.
Oftentimes, the confessing person believes that the religious official mediates
forgiveness. The confidentiality of such communications is primarily governed by
the clergy s religious group; however, local and state laws have challenged the
privileged nature of this penitent clergy or sacramental/confessional communication.
It should be noted that overlaying the licensing religious group and state laws is the
Army Regulation specifying that the confidentiality of sacramental/confessional
communication is to remain intact and cannot be waived by any authority including
the confessor. On the other hand, in non military chaplain contexts, sacramental
/confessional communication may not be fully protected as some mandatory
reporting laws and some duties to warn do not exempt clergy or sacramental

I remember growing up, watching Pixar movies with my family. Their bright
colors and playful characters were perfect for entertaining us children and even the
adults. I always wanted to watch Toy Story 2 directed by John Lasseter because I was
afraid of the first film. What really got me was the scene where they met all of Sid
s creepy creations, especially the baby head. Though when I was older and no longer
afraid, I realized how much meaning there really was in Toy Story. It even holds great

Jenkins, are looking into other possible food production. Jenkins proposes that eating
plants would not only be beneficial for the body, since it lowers cholesterol and
