nursing shortages and staffing issues. This paper will focus on ways to alleviate
short staffing in my current place of employment. Using interview questionnaires as
my primary research, and scholarly peer reviewed articles as my secondary form of
research I concluded that there are many options hospitals have while trying to
improve on staffing. Many problems can arise when a hospital runs short staffed.
Patient safety, nurse burnout, and patient satisfaction are all issues faced in the
nursing field. Medication errors, patient falls, wrong procedure site, and inaccurate
charting occur when nurses are understaffed and do not have time to focus on their

The lawn mower used had a 3.5 Horse power Briggs and Stratton 4 stroke gas
engine. That particular model motor has a safety shut off lever on the lawn mower
handle which has a cable attached to the motor, and the attached cable must be
activated to disengage the motor shut off break and to allow spark to reach the
spark plug. What was decided was to cut the cable off and deactivate the motor shut
off feature. If the motor has this feature, the cable will have to be observed and also
the levers on the motor to figure out a way to deactivate or preserve the feature. In
both cases the motor will not start unless something is done about the cable and
levers.
A small hole was discovered in one of the lever plates on the side of the engine, the
cable was then pulled, and a small nail was then inserted into the lever to keep the
mechanism from retracting and shutting off the motor. As stated earlier, it will take a
bit of time to figure out how the motor shut off mechanism works (if there is one
installed on the motor).
PROCEDURE:
The first step is to remove the motor from the lawn mower base. Typically, there are
3 or 4 bolts holding the motor to the base, but before they can be removed, the
mower blade and the shaft coupler that holds the blade on the motor shaft will need

The list of blue chip stock changes periodically, but there are always those that
manage to stay on top for years. Examples of the western blue chip companies are
Apple, IBM, The Coca Cola Company, Ford, Google, etc. In Russia blue chips
occur mainly in the oil, gas, energy and telecommunications companies. In
particular, the blue chips include such companies as Gazprom, Lukoil, Norilsk
Nickel, Rosneft, Sberbank, Rostelecom, RusHydro, Polyus Gold, etc. These
companies typically have leading positions in the RTS and MICEX. As you can
see on the pie chart 15 percent of blue chips belong to Gazprom. It means that
Gazprom shares are the most liquid in terms of sales and account for 15 percent of
the total trading volume on the market. The second largest sales shares owned by
Lukoil. They constitute 14, 02% of total trading in the market. Sberbank is the third
after a Gazprom and Lukoil amounts to 13.88% of sales of its shares on the market.
Norilsk Nickel and Rosneft makes 7.56% and 7% of sales in the market,
respectively. And finally Surgutneftegas and VTB Bank constitute 4,82% and 4,28%
of sales in the market. Thus the total weight of seven securities in the index is 67%,
which implies that it is these securities provide direction and determine the dynamics
of the Russian market as a whole.

As more and more Europeans moved to the New World, colonies were created for
specific groups of people. Colonies were created for varying religions, lifestyles, and

conformity is viewed as an easy way to shape into society s mold. Societal
expectations are shaped by the so called Combine a mysterious and in the dark

Bromden a long time patient at a psychiatric ward is the first to recognize the
Combine and its powers. At the same time that this novel was written, the society of
the 1950s was being challenged by a group known as the beat generationwho wanted

and necessary. While many members of society supported the beliefs of conformity,
in many ways the need for societal misfits was vital to secure a community where
all people would have a voice. While many did their best to challenge the Combine,
in the end the Combine would prevail, but the ideas of those who spoke out would

Environmental Protection Agency [EPA], 2015). As co 60 is involved in ionising
radiation, all co 60 that is absorbed by liver, kidneys or bone tissue can cause
cancer and because it decays by gamma radiation, this results in an increased risk of
cancer in comparison to other radioisotopes along with skin burns, acute radiation

Although Roy is the main character Bernard Malamud s The Natural, we are not
directly told of his past. It is up to the reader to piece together the puzzle and
interpret why Roy acts and responds in the way he does. Roy s mysterious past
makes his responses to conflict the most interesting aspect of this book. There is a
presence of conflict throughout the entire text: adversity with The Whammer ,
Bump, Gus, Memo, the Judge, and his own mental state. Although Roy reacts to
conflict in a variety of ways, the reactions themselves are fueled by one motive.
Roy s overall responses to conflict originate from his devastating past and family
life, in addition to his need to prove to himself that he has purpose. Although we
are not specifically told of Roy s past, Malamud gives away small hints and details
towards what has occurred. It is revealed that Roy was not fond of his mother, and

smart the only form of intelligence, but a lot of people who attended college and

Gerald Graff explains in Hidden Intellectualism that there are many different forms of
intelligence. In Rose s article, he explains how he observed his mother along with
other family members work blue collar jobs. He explains how everyone involved
with blue collared work develops a sense of intelligence in many different forms. In
Graff s article, he explains how schools and colleges are doing a poor job at getting
the full potential out of students. Graff thinks that if we give students things they like
to read then they will progress to more scholarly readings. Both authors describe how
society doesn t value all types of intellectualism. Rose explains how people are
stereotyping blue collared jobs and not appreciating them. Graff explains how schools

Society s view on intelligence is becoming watered down from the truth. In Rose s
article, Blue Collar Brilliance Rose discusses societies outlook on intelligence.
Rose explains how society thinks blue collared jobs don t involve any intelligence,
and anyone can do a blue collared job. He explains how society thinks that since
you don t have to have a high education to perform well in blue collared jobs, it
takes little to no intelligence. Rose says, We reinforce this notion by defining
intelligence solely on grades in school and numbers on IQ test (Rose 279). Rose
explains that even though most blue collared jobs don t require a college degree,

When I first joined the Texas Rowing Center, I had no idea that six months later my
life would revolve around rowing. At first, I was extremely apprehensive, because I
knew that committing to rowing would mean giving up over ten hours of precious
time a week to make space for practice. However, the decision has paid off in
innumerable ways, including the fact that rowing practice is now the highlight of
every day.

Although I can run three miles pretty fast, and I wanted to race the other fast
people on my team, I decided to stick with the slow group and help them get
motivated instead. I hated having to walk half the way, but it was helpful for me
to experience a leader. I had to practice a lot of patience. I was also elected team co
captain, which means I have a lot of organizational responsibilities as well. I feel
like Abbey, our coach, really respects me as a leader in the group. I am so thankful
for the chance to lead my peers somewhere other than at school. Being in a different

Reflection: Comparison of methods I chose two methods during this investigation
to find my surface area; one of them was using the body parts as shapes, which was
useful as I was able to rely on already made formulas to find the surface area of my
skin. The other method was to use tight clothes that fit my body tightly, that way I
could measure the height x width of the cloth. I was able to find my body surface
area from these methods quite easily. I would say the easiest one to perform was
the 1st method, which was using body parts as shapes, I say this because it was
easier to use formulas of different types of shapes, and the results would be closer
to my actual body surface area, since I was able to use shapes that looked like my
