RingCentral provides a sandbox environment for developers to test and build applications using its APIs. The summary outlines 5 steps to set up a RingCentral sandbox account: 1) Get a developer account on the RingCentral developer portal. 2) Log into the developer account and locate the sandbox account details. 3) Set the password for the sandbox account and log into the online account portal. 4) Create a test application on the developer dashboard by selecting the platform and feature to access via APIs. 5) The application API key and secret can then be used to test the application using the RingCentral APIs.

2. Ring Central which undisputed champion in world of cloud

well as contribute yourself into this platform.

3. It provides developers an opportunity to creates custom application
with all the communication features like SMS, Fax, Call etc they need
and expose the services via API that can be consumed by a web
application or even a desktop application.
Ring Central as we know offers reliable VoIP calling, web meetings, fax,
& more empowering our multi-location business with a secure cloud
phone system.

4. Creating application is also very easy and can be created and
implemented in minutes but first we need to be acquainted with
setting up your own test environment.

5. We can follow below steps:
Step 1: We need to get into Ring Central Sandbox account to start with
here https://developers.ringcentral.com

6. Step 2: Once there, we need to log into the developers account with
our email id and password.
( For new user, we need to create a new developer account. When we
first register at the RingCentral for Developers portal, a sandbox
account is automatically assigned to us. )

7. Step 3: For New user we need to go to your Sandbox Account
page: "My Account > Sandbox Account". Locate the "Main Company
Number" which will be your username when formatted in E.164
format, (example: +12223334444). We need to set the password for
our Sandbox.
We can also log as Admin in our Online Account Portal for Sandbox
Environment at: https://service.devtest.ringcentral.com/

8. Step 4: Once everything set and our Sandbox is setup and created for
us, we can now see the dashboard of developers platform.
All we now need to do is create a new application by hitting the
CreateApp button in right top:

9. Now we can start creating our new application. We need to fill the
application name and description as below:

10. Step 5: Now in our application configuration, we need to select the
platform type. Since it was my first application and I didn't have any
programming platform installed in my system, for making it simple I
choose windows platform as below:

11. Step 6: Next step is simple. We need to choose the type of application I
am creating. For now I selected SMS as I am going to create an
application which will be capable in sending SMS feature using the
APIs:

12. Once creation application is done, we can see it created in the
dashboard of developers platform as below:

13. Once the application is created, API Key and API Secret can be found in
the developer portal under the application which is created. We can
check into My Account -> Applications -> Application Name. Use
Sandbox Application key and secrets
We will now move to https://developers.ringcentral.com/api-reference
to test our application with Ring Central APIs.

14. Once Sandbox is created, we can create N number of applications and
provide them different permissions like SMS, call, Fax etc as per our
requirement and can test via APIs. We can test the application in API
explorer or can use Postman tools to test the APIs.
