• What is communicated through
association with an other sense of
same expression.
• It refers to terms which have more than
one meaning surfaces at the same time
so that kind of of ambiguity.
• EX:The comedian use reflected
meaning in their jokes its an example of
world play.The joke is usually correct
for the situation but that will elicit a
different often opposite image in the
mind of the listner.
8. Conceptual meaning
• Conceptual meaning is also called
logical or cognitive meaning.
• Those meaning which we already know
about.
• Example; boy ,computer ,lion ,apple
ctc.
9. Social meaning
• Those words which we use to start for
social communication for social
relation.

• It shows emotion feelings .
• Those words which creats emotion on
listener .
• Ex:The word ‘’Mother’’......... if any one
has mother died and when some one
speak about mother word due to that
