2. Introduction to semantic
The word semantic related to the meaning of word and phrase.
Semantics refers to the meaning of word with in sentence of language. It discuss
the meaning of sentence without context.
The term semantic is taken from Greek word sign and Mr Machael breal (1832-
1915) founded it .He is also known as the founder of modern semantic .
If reader goes through any word he / she needs to understand the meaning of
this particular word and to understand the meaning properly .
According to Geoffrey Leech (1974 ,1981) there are at least seven types of
meaning in semantic, the meaning is play important role to understanding during
communication.

In semantics, conceptual meaning is the literally meaning of word also known as
cognitive , logical or denotative content as known conceptual meaning.
In other word We can say the conceptual meaning also called as literal or
dictionary meaning that type of meaning as well as known denotive /cognitive
meaning.

5. 2.Connotative meaning
connotation is the real world a value of speaker associate with an expression.
Conative meaning is also known as emotive so connotative mean the real norms
of words which was expressed by speaker, is also known is conative meaning. It
means a word has more than one meaning it is called Connotative meaning.
These meaning may very from age to age , Society to society,culture to culture
and person to person we call it open ended meaning.
Example 1. Some people say women are soft- hearted ,submissive,while other say
they are fraud,cheaters. People define women with their psychological
perspectives.

Social meaning is also come in semantic meaning .It is based on aspects of
society when people from particular society define language in their own way that
is called social meaning.
This meaning is based on dialect . The dialect of London is differs from the dialect
of USA in regards of pronunciation,vocabulary and grammar.
For example ,the words domicile , residence,and home all words refer to same
thing but each words belongs to particular situation of use.

Affective meaning refer to the speaker’s feelings,emotion and also including
listener’s attitude to something is called affective meaning.
Affective meaning is also known as emotive meaning which means emotion and
feelings of speaker affect on listener’s attitude is called affective meaning.
For example
If we talk with motherless child we will be very emotional and we will talk in very
soft manner.

Reflective meaning is type of semantic meaning .Reflected meaning is involves
interconnection on lexical meaning 2nd level of language..
In other word we simply can say have one sense of word and which give multiple
conceptual meaning is called reflected meaning.

ollocative meaning is also come in semantics. Collocative meaning consists of the
associations a word acquire on account of the meanings of words which tend to occur
in its environment.

Thematic is type of semantic meaning that is communicated by the way in
which speaker or writer organigs of message , in terms of ordering ,focus
