PROPER NOUN: 
• Proper noun is the specific name of the person, place 
or thing.

COMMON NOUN: 
• Common noun is the common name of the person, 
place or thing…

COLLECTIVE NOUN: 
• Collective noun denotes collection of groups or

ABSTRACT NOUN: 
• Abstract noun is the noun that have an idea in our 
mind but don’t have existence in the world or 
reality...

MATERIAL NOUN: 
• Material noun is the noun which have existence in 
reality and we can make further things from it…

COUNTABLE NOUN: 
• Countable noun is a noun which can be count...

UNCOUNTABLE NOUN: 
• Uncountable noun is a noun which cannot be count.

PERSONAL PRONOUN: 
• These are the pronouns used for persons… 
• Personal pronouns are: we, you, they, he, she …..etc

• We talk to you. 
• You talk to me. 
• She called him.
REFLEXIVE PRONOUN: 
• When self or selves is added to my, it, our, your, 
him, her it makes them reflexive pronouns… 
Example: 
• He learned by himself.

RELATIVE PRONOUN: 
• It is a word that tells the function of pronoun…. 
Example: 
• He saw his mother who was eating. 
• He is one of the teacher who served the nation.
INTERROGATIVE PRONOUN: 
• It is a word that asks question about the noun or 
pronoun…

• Who told you this? 
• Is this yours pen?

• The Word Verb Is derived from the Latin word 
“Verbum”, which means word. 
• Verb is a part of speech which describe any action or 
work. 
Example:

KINDS OF VERB: 
• Helping verb 
• Transitive verb 
• Intransitive verb
HELPING VERB: 
• Helping verb helps the verb in forming a sentence… 
Example: 
• He is playing football. 
• The news was true. 
• I have written a letter.
TRANSITIVE VERB: 
• Transitive verb is that verb in which both subject or 
object are present… 
Example: 
• Ali eats apple. 
• She reads a book. 
• He runs fast.
INTRANSITIVE VERB: 
• Intransitive verb is that verb in which only subject is 
present and object is absent. 
Example: 
• Ali eats. 
• She reads. 
• He runs.

meaning of the verb , adjective or other adverbs.

• It is a word which shows how and in what manner 
the work is done…

meaning of a noun or pronoun…

QUALITATIVE ADJECTIVE: 
• This is the adjective which tells about quality…

QUANTITATIVE ADJECTIVE: 
• This is the adjective which tells about quantity… 
Example: 
• He has 5 rupees. 
• There is a little water in the jug.
CONJUNCTION: 
• A conjunction is a word which joins together 
sentences and words… 
Example: 
• Ali and his brother live together. 
• Although he is poor yet he is honest.
INTERJECTION: 
• An interjection is a word in a sentence to express 
some feelings of mind… 
Example: 
• Hurrah! We won the match. 
• Alas! He died.
