experience how everything is bigger, you go to the Houston Livestock Show and
Rodeo (HLSR). The HLSR, or Houston Rodeo as it is referred to by Houstonians,
is the largest event of its kind in the world and has been in session since 1932. In
2013, The HLSR had more people in attendance (approx 2.6 million) at the Rodeo
than the entire population of the city of Houston (approx 2.1 million), which

record and the role of rare events was studied using data gathered from a variety of
sedimentary outcrops and cores. The author addressed his hypothesis using this
collected data in terms of sedimentpreservation and represented preservation as a
function of two modes of geomorphic processes: Magnitude and frequency. The
author tested his hypothesis using relatively modern storm events to represent
sedimentation, showing how daily processes can distort the geologic record, and by
using ancient examples to illustrate how some storms can be preserved in spectacular
condition.
The results of this study support the hypothesis that the stratigraphic record represents
episodic phenomena rather than continuous deposition. When describing fluvial
processes, the study was significant in that infrequent, extremely high magnitude
fluvial events in a canyon located below base level leaves sediment deposits that are

At the start of the project, I was a bit nervous and hesitant about how I would go
about with the project, considering I had no video editing/creating experience. I

First, I would make sure that the tape recorder worked properly and that I knew
what all the buttons were. Since it was my first time using a tape recorder, I know
I shouldn t blame myself. Secondly, I would make sure to create a list of questions
that was more organized and similar to create a story. Thirdly, I would make sure
that Monica had all the knowledge and resources to communicate with us and the
ability to use her phone/email. This is because we learned that Monica didn t have
a lot of experience with technology and she didn t know how to exactly worked her

The Awakening Feminist Analysis
The Awakening by Kate Chopin depicts the awakening of a lady named Edna
Pontellier. Set in New Orleans (Chopin 1), this novel follows Edna as she
skirmishes with the life she is living and the life she wants to live. Moreover, one
could view Edna as a model of feminism in her time. Chopin conveyed many
feminist ideas throughout her writings in a time where it was uncommon; Chopin
wrote The Awakening in a time when married women held no legal rights over their
bodies and when few other female and feminist writers hazarded openly to explore a
womans sexual desire (Beer, et al 88). Chopin expresses feminist ideas through the
actions of Edna Pontellier, supporting characters, and how Edna s husband both treats
his wifeand his stereotypical view of women. Throughout the novel, Edna becomes
dissatisfied with her life, and decides that something needs to change. Right from
the beginning of the novel, Edna immediately defies her husband when she feels
she is being treated incorrectly. She said nothing, and refused to answer her
husband when he questioned her (Chopin 6). These subtle defiances monsoons
into greater ones, transforming Edna into a radical feminist. As Enda starts to
realize what she desires, she figures out that love and sex do not necessarily
coincide in the same object of desire (Beer, et al 90). Edna decides to leave her
husband, saying that I am no longer one of Mr. Pontellier s possessions to dispose
of or not. I give myself where I choose (Chopin 108). Edna leaving her husband
shows her independence from her husband; she decides she is done with the
stereotypes that women are placed in during this time. Edna also undergoes a sexual
realization. Edna grapples with the conflict between her romantic and sexual
impulses, both urging her towards adultery (Beer, et al 91). Between her love for

husband allows her to sexually explore, thus making her more independent. All of the

situationalism, and generalism. Antinomianism, which literally means against
