1.Summarize what you taught and what strategies you used.
I have had the experience to teach the class four times during the semester and
each of them has helped me to learn a lot. Dr. Walenciak has been traveling a lot so
I have been in charge of the class those times. The first time, I was terrified the day
before of the class. I needed to talk about the chapter of Ostrander s book that talks
about the history of Christian education. I prepared myself a lot and the day of the
class I divided the time so the students could work on a project that we have. I try
to summarize the chapter while explaining it. I planned to talk for 25 minutes and
I ended up talking for 15 minutes. I was talking too fast and skipping important
points without realizing about that. At the time of the class, I felt confident but I
was a little nervous and it was harder to express my ideas in English but I manage
to overcome that. I was able to explain everything but I was a little disappointed
that I could not meet my time goal. After that, I ask them some questions to see if
they have understood the topic. It was interesting because I could feel somehow the
feeling of the teacher when nobody participates in the class. At the beginning,
everyone was quiet but after a while, they start participating. To finish the class, I
gave them some time to get in groups and discuss their progress for the final project.

1.Since completing my TWS integrated unit, I have discovered many things about my
students in relation to teaching and learning. First, I discovered their love and need
of hands on experiences. Every day that my students participated in a learning
experiment, every student was involved and excited to see the results of the
experiment. They constantly wanted to be the, lucky volunteer , and in their
culminating project, I had students name their favorite part of the entire unit, and all
22 students mentioned one of the six experiments they participated in. Second, I
discovered the power of student directed learning. Half way through the unit I began
placing students who showed great understanding of the topics with students who had
more difficulty understanding the topics of the unit. On these days, based on the
conversations I observed between students, the students really enjoyed this
opportunity of, being the teacher and their classmates enjoyed the experience of

It actually goes back to 1998 with the Glass Steagall legislation, which separated
regular banks and investment banks was repealed in 1998. This allowed banks,
whose deposits were guaranteed by the FDIC to engage in highly risky business
because they were guaranteed their deposits up to $250,000 per depositor.
Following the dot com bust in 2000, the Federal Reserve dropped rates to 1 percent
and kept them there for an extended period. This drop in rates caused bank

got creative with lending, and went after high yield mortgage backed securities like

At the core of human existence lies a never ending curiosity about the concept of
death, hidden underneath layers of societal norms and instinctual fears. This
subconscious fascination manifests itself through forms of entertainment, such as
cinema, literature, and art. Perhaps this contributes to the widespread success of Jon
Krakauer s Into the Wild, a nonfiction recount of the life and death of a man found
dead in the Alaskan bush by the name of Christopher McCandless. However,
Krakauer s purpose lies not in the exploration of the topic of death but rather in the
exploration of the soul of nature s victim McCandless. Krakauer utilizes journal
entries that reveal the thoughts of McCandless throughout his final journey, short
sentences that convey urgency and desperation, and scientific research to prove that
the death of Christopher McCandless was not due to ignorance nor suicidal wishes.
First, Krakauer uses excerpts from Christopher McCandless s journal to give the
reader insight into McCandless s intentions and thoughts throughout his journey
through the Alaskan bush to prove that McCandless did not go into the wild with the

Electrophoresis (SDS PAGE) method to separate proteins by their molecular weight.
This method is often used to determine the purity and weight of a protein.
Electrophoresis is a method of separating proteins based on their chemical and
physical properties. Gel electrophoresis has a gel support mediums that includes
polyacrylamide, starch and agarose. The gel is chemically inert, it is easy to handle,
and can me made to fit a desirable porosity. This makes it good to use for molecules
