1. For Abortion Essay
Writing an essay on the topic of abortion can be a challenging task, as it involves navigating
through a complex and emotionally charged subject. The difficulty arises not only from the need
to present well-researched and logical arguments but also from the sensitivity surrounding the
topic. Crafting a balanced and nuanced essay requires careful consideration of diverse
perspectives, ethical concerns, and the cultural, religious, and political dimensions that surround
the issue.
Addressing the complexities of abortion involves delving into medical, legal, ethical, and societal
aspects, which can be overwhelming. It requires extensive research to gather accurate
information, statistics, and expert opinions. Moreover, articulating a coherent and persuasive
argument necessitates a deep understanding of the various viewpoints and controversies
associated with abortion.
The emotional nature of the topic adds an extra layer of difficulty. Writers must tread carefully
to avoid unintentionally offending or alienating readers with opposing views. Striking a balance
between empathy and objectivity is crucial to maintaining the integrity of the essay.
Despite these challenges, writing an essay on abortion provides an opportunity for personal
growth and intellectual engagement. It encourages critical thinking, research skills, and the
ability to articulate complex ideas. Ultimately, the difficulty lies not just in expressing one's own
stance but in doing justice to the multifaceted nature of the topic.

2. Suprematist Painting By Malevich
Modern Art is NOT Art
Art is a process of deliberately arranging elements in a way that appeals to the
senses or emotions. With that being said, is modern art really art? The answer is
no it is not. Many people in this day and age would argue that it is in fact art, but
society has clearly lost the understanding of what true art really is. Having the
ability to look at a piece of art and have some concept of what it is or feeling of
emotion is what makes it art. Though many are willing to pay millions for the
modernized art of today s culture, it is not and never will be the truest essence of art
that man has known and been fascinated by for centuries.
Art, no matter the form, should have the ability to resonate in some way with the
viewer. Many of the modern art pieces do not portray true emotion, as real art
should. The piece Suprematist Painting by Malevich is composed of eight red
rectangles. Showing the lack of skill, this painting, like many others of its kind, in no
way show meaning nor does it convey emotion. Art used to show just how much

The effort that has so obviously been put into it is what strikes people. Art has
always been such a fascinating thing because some people are blessed with artistic
abilities while the majority are not. Modern art has little, if any, effort put into it.
So many of these masterpieces could be easily done by the common person.
Michaelangelo and picasso are two of the greatest artists of all time. Thinking about
the art they created is legendary compared to today s. Michelangelo created lifesize,
detailed, and elaborate sculptures that have been famous for thousands of years.
Picasso created The Weeping Woman in 1937 which was sold for 1.6 million dollars.
This painting portrayed exactly what the title says. It shows a woman crying which is
an emotion anyone could see which resonates with the audience when

4. Essay On Exemplary Clinton
Hilary Clinton: one of the most powerful women in the world, but do we really know
her? After researching through videos and articles about Hilary s dubious behavior
that has been hidden from supporters and the public, these are the most powerful
points to why the nation should be glad Clinton is not the president.
Firstly, Clinton is focused on winning rather than doing the right thing. A young
woman claimed she was raped as a 12 year old in Arkansaw. Clinton, who is a
lawyer, took on the case defending the alleged rapist and later laughed about the
situation in court which does not seem very professional. In an article written by the
Washington post, she expressed her frustration with Clinton for tampering with
evidence. Furthermore, whilst knowing the rapist was guilty she discredited the
victim s story and mocked it. What kind of person defends the accused by lying and
making fun of the victim? This ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Hilary Clinton s lies range from pathetic to deadly. Clinton lied about her vote in
favour of the Iraq war. Clinton altered her opinion to whatever would gain her, her
next victory. In 2002 Clinton stated that she voted in favour of the Iraq war then in
December of 2006 she announced that she was completely opposed to it and
everyone was left wondering. She also lied about her very own name claiming she
was named after sir Edmund Hillary, one of the first men to climb mount Everest
small problem though he climbed Everest when Clinton was 6 years old. She also
told an interviewer that when she left the white house she and her husband bill
were broke another lie which many republicans found laughable and there are
many, many more lies she has told that people have completely looked past.
Honesty is a trait people look for in a president and I am afraid Hilary is seriously
lacking that trait. If she can lie about small things like her name what is to stop her
from lying about more serious
5. Impact Of The Great Depression On The American
Economy
There are very few events in American history which have as great of an impact as
the impact that the Great Depression had on the American economy and government
as well as the mindset of the American people. As stated by Milton Friedman
(Pongracic, Ivan) the period from 1929 to 1941 saw fundamental changes in the
landscape of American politics and economics. The Great Depression, which sent our
country into utter despair for eleven long years, was inevitable due to the decisions
and actions that our government, banking systems, and the American people made
prior to, and throughout this time period. It transformed our many of our practices
and views and the effects can still be seen today in the mindset of American people
and their government.
The years preceding the great crash were a time of great prosperity and happiness
for Americans so they found it difficult in believing that the economy was built on
a weak foundation and that it could completely collapse overnight like it did. After
completion of World War One, the United States no longer had to produce
weapons and war machinery, so, for the first time ever, industry turned to making
consumer goods on a mass scale. Goods that American s had always believed to be
for the rich were soon mass produced so that they were affordable to more
consumers. The number of cars on the road, for example, increased by over 24
million between 1920 and 1929. ( America in the Roaring Twenties Part 2: The
Economy ) and there
6. Essay On The Atomic Bomb
World War II was one of the most devastating wars in history. This war was
drastically different from all of the other wars. The reason being because the atomic
bomb was first used. The atomic bomb had been dropped on the cities of Hiroshima
and Nagasaki in Japan. At the time of the dropping of the bombs, the United States
public had no clue it even existed. This leads to the question, what did the United
States citizens think about the dropping of the bombs? The country was divided
between support for that drastic measure and criticism of the devastation.
Something so devastating can be hard at times to formulate an opinion on. Also, the
United States civilians were not informed of something that could bring such
devastation to the world. At the time, all they knew was that Japan attacked Pearl
Harbor and we had to retaliate. Consequently, this caused a lot of confusion, and
eventual opinions that led down both the paths. The devastation caused division
between public opinion. Opponents of the weapon were sharply critical and came
from all different types of backgrounds.
Those who had opposed it opposed it on moral grounds, and the devastation was
repulsive to them. Opposition was even found from those who helped create the
bomb. On August 2nd, 1939, Albert Einstein and Leo Szilard had written a letter to
President Roosevelt, implying that they should create their own nuclear program
before Nazi Germany. In 1947 however, Einstein had felt completely different after

7. Essay about Nietzsche and the Prophet
Nietzsche and the Prophet
According to Friedrich Nietzsche s Thus Spoke Zarathustra, the meaning of human
existence is to make room for the Superman : a superhuman who perseveres in its
capacity for unlimited self creation. (Pg. 49)[1] In order for humankind to embrace
its self creative nature and allow for the transcendence into this superhuman
condition, however, we must first learn to destroy our present tables of values; it is
our desperate adherence to traditional (religious) values which prevents us from
actualizing our potential for self creation. It is important to note, however, that it is
not the creation of these traditional values in and of itself that Nietzsche condemns.
After all, self creation is not only a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
So, in spite of the immanent desire to be rid of the past, Nietzsche s protagonist,
Zarathustra, finds himself unable to completely sever himself from it. Hence
Zarathustra s struggle to affirm his past while pursuing a self creating future.
The aim of this paper is threefold. First, I will provide evidence for the interpretation
of The Prophet as an elucidation of the struggle of Nietzsche s protagonist to
reconcile this inalienable relationship between the past and the future. In doing so, I
will focus on three main facets of the passage, namely, the prophet, Zarathustra s
dream and, the misinterpretation of the dream by the disciple. Second, I will
demonstrate how The Prophet can simultaneously be interpreted so as to advance
Nietzsche s own view of human nature as self creativity. Third, I will explicate what
ramifications my interpretations of The Prophet has on the relationship between
Nietzsche and his reader.
The Inalienable Relationship Between the Past and the Future
The Prophet begins with Zarathustra being told that Everything is empty, everything
is one, everything is past! . (Pg. 155) That is, the prophet informs Zarathustra that the
present day way of life has become tired and saturated; there is no more advancement
to be made in the absence of a rudimentary transformation of humankind. In short, the
time has come for the self destruction and re creation of humankind; the time has
come for humankind
8. Essay On My Brother Sam Is Dead
War Is Never Right
But somehow, fifty years later, I keep thinking that there might have been another
way, besides war, to achieve the same end (Collier and Collier 211). The quote
shows how there could possibly be another way to solve the British and Patriots
argument. In James and Christopher Collier s historical fiction book, My Brother
Sam Is Dead, the story takes place during the American Revolution which occurred
in 1775. To many people in the book, both sides believe that war is always unfair.
War could tear families or people apart or bring them together as a group to fight.

Revolution. In the historical fiction novel, My Brother Sam Is Dead, there ... Show

Both sides to Tim are bad in both ways. Finally, when Mr. Meeker did not allow
Sam to take the Brown Bess to fight with, Sam stole the gun. Sam disobeyed his
father and Tim tries to take it back. Tim kept on trying to persuade Sam to give the
gun back to Mr. Meeker, but he keeps ignoring Tim s request. When Tim tries to
steal the gun from Sam, Sam immediately found out and chased after Tim. When
Sam caught up to Tim, Tim started to blackmail and said that he would shoot the
gun at Sam if he got closer. Don t come any closer, Sam, or I ll shoot you (Collier
and Collier 55). This shows that even war can tear the two brothers that love each
other apart. Families can still be teared apart from any type of war.
Another reason why the authors are against war is due to the clash of generations.
During the American Revolution, Yale students would go to get weapons and
they would join the war. The younger adults believe that they should join the war to
fight for freedom. Yale students did rush away to get weapons and join the war in
1775 (Collier and Collier 214). These college students are sacrificing their lives to
fight for their own freedom. On the other hand, the adults say that war is bad and
that no one should fight. Grownups believe that it is not worth it to fight for their
own freedom. Many people say that war is unfair or not worth it. I think men of
common sense will prevail. Nobody wants rebellion except fools and hotheads
(Collier and Collier 6). Mr.
9. Schizophrenia In A Beautiful Mind
In the movie A Beautiful Mind directed by Ronald William Howard, characterizes
the story of John Nash, a brilliant mathematician, who suffers from paranoid
schizophrenia. The movie is based of the true life story of John Forbes Nash,
portrayed in the movie by Russell Crowe. John is a college student attending
Princeton University and early in his career he made an astonishing discovery and
which became internationally renowned. This lead to him winning the Nobel Prize
during his late years. The movie depicts John as an awkward and socially inept
student, who spent a lot of time to discover a revolutionary equation in mathematics.
During that time, he also started showing symptoms of schizophrenia. Schizophrenia
has been defined as a split mind , in which people interpret reality abnormally. It then
can result in hallucinations, disorders, delusions and extremely disordered behavior
and thinking. These symptoms can all be seen in Russell Crowe s portrayal of John
Nash. It is noticed in the movie that John Nash, unlike majority of men who have
schizophrenia he started showing symptoms in his thirties. The first instance was
when he was still attending college and he started having auditory and visual
hallucinations as he created his roommate, Charles Herman. His sense of reality...

10. The Narrator In Guy Montag s Fahrenheit 451
The reader receives information through a limited third person narrator. This is
shown when the narrator talks about how Guy Montag feels and what he thinks as he
is burning a house, but when talking of Clarisse McClellan, the narrator only says,
The girl stopped and looked as if she might pull back in surprise... (Bradbury 6) and
that she spoke thoughtfully. The reader also gets no indication of what the other
characters might be thinking other than observations made by Montag. This narratoris
reliable because of the objective nature of a third person point of view. Most
important ideas are first received via dialogue. For example, the first conflict is
caused by Clarisse McClellan, an eccentric teenager, who asks if Montag is happy

High Point A moment in my life that stands out as an especially positive experience

in this positive experience were myself, my mother, father, sister, family friends,
my friends, administrators, teachers, and peers. I woke up in the morning around
9:00 am, showered, got dressed packed all of my essentials for my graduation, and
drove to one of my friend s house where all of my friends and I got ready for
graduation. My friends and I spent several hours getting ready, taking, photos for
our family members before our ceremony. Then we went to the graduation location
and waited for an hour in our designated spots for when walk out. The ceremony
began at 7:00, the speakers spoke for about 30 minutes, then names were called.
My named was called early on, I walked across the stage, my mom calling my name
out, I smiled to her as I spotted her in the crowd. Then I shook the hands of the
administrators, received my diploma and walked of the stage. On this day I was
thinking about how I was finally going to finish my four year long journey. At that
point every choice I had made in my academic career led to this moment of
accomplishment. I was also thinking of how it was a long process to get to my
graduation day and that walking across the stage not only would be positive for me,
but for others who were important to me and a

chemical insect repellents. 2. Wear long sleeves and long pants at dawn and dusk
when insects are most active. 3. Stay on trails to protect habitat and avoid snake

only wise, it will announce your presence to snakes who just want to avoid
encountering YOU! 4. Invest in a good sleeping pad, or at the least, put an exercise
mat under your sleeping bag. 5. Block ice lasts longer than bagged ice. Make your
own at home by filling milk jugs or water bottles. The less you open the cooler, the
longer the ice will last. 6. Never hang lanterns on trees because the heat can cause
serious harm. 7. Pack a small plastic bucket for dish washing and never use the
bathhouse sink for this task. 8. Hungry critters can be very clever and destructive.
Keep food locked in vehicles or tied up in trees. 9. Freeze chili, soups and stews in zip
lock bags, then heat them after they thaw. The frozen bags help keep ice from
melting in the cooler. Rice and pasta can also be cooked ahead of time and reheated
on a camp stove. 10. Pita pockets keep their shape better than loaf bread. 11.

Being able to communicate is a great skill that one can practice every day of our
lives. There are several ways or types of communication skills I have learned in this
course such as vocally, written, visually, or non verbally. In this assignment, I am
going to write about my communication skills in three periods of my life and how
they have been developed. First, I would like to talk about how I was when I was a
little. When I was about five or six years old, I was spoiled between my family just
like most of the other kids. However, outside my house I can describe myself as a
shy and quiet girl that I sometimes in school I have been bullied by other students.
When I was five years old my dad enrolled me and my half brother who is as my
age in a kindergarten school. I was always with my brother and I felt safe around
him, but when we become at the seventh age, my dad couldn t have enrolled us in
the same school because he was told that I was born at the last days of November
and they would accept me in the school with the next generation. Therefore, my dad
decided that I am going to a private schoolso that I can be with my generation.
At the first day of school I was afraid to be alone without having my brother around
me. I just hated that school because I was just by myself, and my classmates were
not nice to me at all. The boys and some girls were very mean and like to be
bullying for example, they always take my stuff and refused to return them back
when I ask them to,
15. Desiree s Baby, By Kate Chopin
In Kate Chopin s short story, Desiree s Baby, she tells the story through the eyes of
the characters. This story is told in the omniscient point of view. The omniscient point
of view means that the storyteller knows all of the thoughts and emotions of all the
characters throughout the story. In the nineteenth century there was a lot of racial
discrimination against African Americans. The protagonist is Desiree; she is formed
throughout the many situations in the short story. She is fought by the antagonist,
Armand Aubigny. He is described, as a cruel, arrogant man who, likely, would never
admit he was wrong. At the end of this story Armand s assumptions and inferences
catch up to him. An inferenceis nothing more than a guess, an assumption. Inferring
does not always get us in trouble and it would almost be impossible to not assume
throughout an entire day. Unfortunately, making some inferences can have serious
consequences. There are is a lot of foreshadowing throughout the short story that tells
us that Armand has black ancestry. There is a key part of foreshadowing, there is
another form of foreshadowing when Madame Valmonde says, the child has grown,
has changed. This is another monstrous form of foreshadowing, that there is
something different about this child and that we will find out what is different later
in the story.
It had never hit Desiree that her baby was black until one day, The baby, half naked,

Section 7
Romantic Comedy
Romantic Comedy has been around for many generations enticing the public with
ideas of love and romance in a humorous way. According to Dictionary.com
Romantic Comedy is defined as, a movie or play that deals with love in a light,
humorous way. For all romantic comedies to make this happen, they follow three
simple rules. Boy meets girl, boy loses girl, boy gets girl back. As Brian Finnigan
from The Five Golden Rules of Romantic Comedy says, Different but the same, He
wants She Wants, turmoil, and learning curves . Although these technical terms are
different, they mean the same thing. Today that may look a little different but this is
a staple part of romantic comedy that makes it different ... Show more content on

There was not much luck.
Animal comedy came during the late 70s and 80s. Due to the lack of character
growth between the beginning and the end of the movie, these films are great for
sequels. Characteristically, animal comedy is about pigs who want to have
meaningless sex with women, and due to the lack of character change, at the end of
the movie, the characters still want to have meaningless sex with women.
The most used Romantic comedy style today is Modern American Romantic
Comedy. The woman is portrayed to be equal to the man. A great example that
really changed the way romantic comedy was viewed was When Harry Met Sally.
Women gave their point of view on relationships and could express equality with
men. As James Murphy from moviereal.com states, Can men and women ever be
just friends? Is it possible to move on from the one you love? Is love at first sight ever
true love? Is there just one person for everyone? Can I be a big corporate superman
AND a decent human being? Etc. These are some questions from romantic comedies
that prove the point that women were viewed differently in this film and that caused
movies the future movies to change the way the portray women and men together.
Finally, Geek Comedy began in 1998. Like animal comedy the characters start out
wanting to have meaningless sex with the opposite sex. The difference is there is a
character change throughout the storyline and by the end of the
18. Renaissance And The Italian Renaissance
The Italian Renaissance had two distinct periods during its lifetime. The first being
the Early Renaissance , which took place between the late 13th and the early 14th
centuries. The second period was known as the High Renaissance , which took place
during the 15th and 16th centuries. These two periods had very distinct foundations
and styles behind the art and architecture of their respective periods. The Early
Renaissancerevived many old themes which later became the foundations for the
High Renaissance. While the High Renaissance strayed from previous traditions and
had its own form of art and essentially perfected early themes and styles of art and
included more scientific/mathematic components.

Architects and designers such as Brunelleschi, Alberti, and Rossellino were
absolutely obsessed with designing and engineering building with perfect symmetry,
proportions, and with ample amounts of geometry. These architectural styles can be
seen in the Pazzi Chapel (to the left), which was designed by the famous Filippo
Brunelleschi. The Palazzo Rucellai (to the right) (designed by Alberti and architected
by Rossellino) in Florence, Italy is another example of architectural uniformity during
the Early Renaissance. Proportions can be clearly seen throughout the exterior of the
building and reflects Roman architecture, which Alberti admired heavily.
The most complex and most high profile masterpieces and artists to come out of the
Italian Renaissance came during the 15th and 16th centuries, which was also known
as the High Renaissance. The architectural and artistic styles of the Early
Renaissance essentially laid the foundations for the High Renaissance period of art
and architecture. These styles were mostly perfected during the High Renaissance.
One such example of perfected art is the most famous portrait known as the Mona
Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci. The Mona Lisa brings figure and landscape into exquisite
harmony: the pyramidal shape of the sitter is echoed in the curves of distant roads
and rivers. ( Renaissance/Baroque Humanities 59). The

Some of the Victorian values that would have influenced George Eliot are the
traditional family values and the role of women in families and society. Women were
expected to stay at home and look after the family. They were not expected to work or
do anything to displease their husbands. At the time, George Eliot was writing her
book, the industrial revolution was also taking place and economic and class values
were changing. England was going through a series of tumultuous cultural, social and

This could be reflected in the seemingly robotic work Silas does. He weaves

When I take a break and look back to everything that I have been through, I feel so
proud of myself and don t give a thought to doubts about the next steps because, as

reason for everything that ever happened to me. (Eriksson, 2016). Humans are the

detail of each one, makes a large difference from one another. I have always been
tagged as a complex girl due to my perfect mixture of nationality, religious

country was suffering from the new changes in the economy, that transformed the

to live without complaining even when the situations turned hostile, and also to be
grateful for what I had. Cubans are solitary, hard workers and happy people. We help

22. Rhetorical Analysis Of Jfk Speech
In 1961, John Fitzgerald Kennedy delivered one of the most influential speeches in
history. Throughout his speech, Kennedy employs many rhetorical devices that
further his appeal for unification. Kennedy establishes his credibility as soon as he
steps to the podium. For I have sworn before you and Almighty God... Kennedy, the
35th president of the United Statesof America, proved credible and true to the
American people through his distinguished leadership. Kennedy discusses the trials
and triumphs of the United States of America in what will go down in history as a
great demonstration of unification. Throughout the text, he emphasizes the theme of
patriotism and greatness as well as prosperity in order to unify the nation through
confident eyes. His emotional yet logical appeal to America s patriotism helps further
his argument towards national unification. Kennedy s use of rhetorical devices
allows him to maintain a conversational tone yet a clear and compelling structure.
Kennedy successfully employs many rhetorical devices into his speech. For
example, Kennedy uses the literary device chiasmus when he utters, ...ask not what
your country can do for you ask what you can do for your country. He employs this
literary technique again when he claims, Let us never negotiate out of fear. But let us
never fear to negotiate. Kennedy most frequently employs anaphora when he repeats
again and again, To those old allies... To those new states... To those people... To
those nations... He uses this anaphoric phrase to employ a rhetorical device while, at
the same time, applying emotional appeal to bring his speech back to the theme of
unification. Another example of anaphora as well as parallelism is when Kennedy
repeats the phrase Let both sides... five times. These rhetorical techniques use
repetition and the reversal of certain words/phrases to make Kennedy s dialect clear
and compelling to his audience.
Midway through the speech, Kennedy asks the rhetorical question Can we forge
against these enemies a grand and global alliance, North and South, East and West,
that can assure a more fruitful life for all mankind? Will you join in that historic
effort? Kennedy uses this rhetorical question to drive the remainder of
23. External Factors Affecting The Air Conditioning System
The efficiency of air conditioning systems varies from one device to another. If
periodic maintenance of the system is regular, the efficiency of the air conditioning is
high, and the indications are that it can work at the maximum load conditions. This
gives the system a maximum life span in addition to an optimum operation at the
maximum thermal load conditions. Another factor that increases the efficiency of air
conditioningis the cleanliness of air filter and fins of the evaporator. Dirty and dusty
filters fins lead to multiple failures, including frost along the whole length of the coil
of the entire evaporator up to the compressor beside the fall of condensation water of
the device and the weakness of the air flowing into the room. On the other hand, when
the fins of the condenser located in the external unit are unclean and the fan capacity
is very low, this leads to high pressure, which causes compressor damage due to high
pressure, temperature and continuous work. Furthermore, when the current (watt)
consumption is 15 30% less than the normal value of a system, this indicates that
there is a blockage in the cooling circuit or that the cooling system quantity inside the
system is less than the planned one.

Comedy is an important aspect in Thomas King s short story, A Short History of
Indians in Canada , as well as Ernest Hemingway s short story, A Clean, Well Lighted
Place. The differing purposes of humour in these two short stories are what separates
them in terms of the effect comedy has on the writing. Thomas King integrates satire,
a form of humourous ridicule, to convey the inability of the Native population to
adapt to white civilization and the demeaning, yet normal opinion that the white men
have regarding this issue. Similarly, Jennifer Wallace s article, Tragedy

King uses the comical phrase Looking for some excitement? (203) to express that
the white men view this problem as an unusual form of pleasure, which seems
outrageously nonsensical at first but gives the basis of the principle that will be
revealed more noticeable as the story commences. Although a moral involving
unfortunate racial stereotypes does not appear to be a comical subject, Wallace
presents in her article, The definition of tragedy is also determined by the audience
response, (203) which offers insight into King s subtle, yet effective comedic strategy
that allows his audience to engross themselves in the humour of the issue before
contemplating the tragic theme. In fact, many writers have articulated the struggles
that Natives have experienced since the arrival of Europeans to Canada, but King s
short story has a uniquely creative and clever style that communicates a long running
issue in Canada in an amusingly successful manner. Had King presented his goal
frankly and non metaphorically, the audience likely would have responded in a
somber way, and would treat the writing just like any other historical literature they
have ever read. Therefore, the strategy of not presenting the context in a tragic matter
truly gives the reader an opportunity to realize how comically impractical the
stereotyping of Natives really is, and how it should not continue in society. It may not
be literally comical, but this

When she was born, that s when things went wrong for us. This attitude affects
Paikea, since Koro is a father figure to her. Her dedication to the traditions of old
and the damaging attitude of her grandfather create cognitive dissonance in her
mind, confusing her and leading her to contemplate her purpose within her own

Tissue Engineering
Tissue engineering, labeled by Time.com as the number one hottest job for the 21st
century, holds great potential for medicine and the treatment of chronic diseases and
disorders. With tissue engineering, familiar problems like the rejection of foreign
tissue by the body, the severe shortage of organ donors, and the inefficiency of
artificial devices may be solved. However, this cutting edge biotechnology has
already spurred intense controversy over the ethics and morality of creating spare
human body parts.
The goal of tissue engineering is to grow tissues and neo organs that can be used for
transplants. Tissue engineers must first decide what type of cell they want to use and
stimulate to grow. Because animal ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In addition to giving the growing cells a shape to grow into, the scaffold distributes
the cells about 2 3 mm apart and allows the cells better access to nutrients and
means of waste removal, which is important when trying to grow an evenly
distributed functioning organ. For larger, solid organs, such as the liver, pancreas,
and kidneys, blood vessels need to be created so the organs have adequate blood
supply. By covering the engineered organs with growth factors, angiogenesis, the
formation of new vasculature, can be prompted.
Although tissue engineers and researchers have already succeeded with creating
new skin, blood vessels, bone and cartilage, the more complex organs are difficult
to reproduce because of their different functions. Researchers must also be
concerned with the mechanisms of growing the tissue. For instance, the advantages
and disadvantages are not yet clear for the length of time the cells should be
exposed to the growth factors or the difference between growing the tissue outside
the body or implanting the scaffold inside the body and letting the tissue grow
there. Scaffolding and injectable polymers that form scaffolds in irregular areas
(like bone fractures) are also being improved. Much more research is being
conducted in order to grow the hearts, livers, breasts, kidneys, and other valuable
organs that so many people need.
Although tissue engineering has great application for helping ill patients, it

What is aesthetics? Aesthetics is a set of principles concerned with the nature and

This research paper will argue that based on the evidence we have available for
sexual offenders and sex registries, our recent changes in the legislation, which was
to add Bill C 26 having tougher sex registries implemented, is not going to change
the effect of sex offending due to significant errors that arise within the system and
the general problems associated with sex registries causing it to be extremely
ineffective and defeating. To begin, by having a sex registry in place would mean
that police corrections as well as the public would have access to information on a
sex offenderwho has been released from prison and is living in their own home.
According to Bill C 26, this database would include information such as; offender s
name, physical description, a photo, past offences as well as criminal records,
release conditions, and the city where the offender lives and resides (Press Release
2, Newly Announced Proposed Changes, Government of Canada). Although at first
glance and impression, this may seem as a positive strategy to have within
communities, but after much thought and knowledge on the issue, there are an
abundance of flaws in the system which result in an ineffective way to prevent
future sex offences. The reasons why sex registries are not forceful are due to the
following; sex registries violate the right and freedom of offenders who have been
released from prison as well as bringing collateral harm to sex offenders, the
recidivism rate for sex

So it might not entirely be her husband s fault since she also ignores his

another contrast made by Hemingway: the American way VS the Italian way;
Americans are perceived here as people desiring material objects and then getting
tired of them, and then we have the Italians who come at the same place for a
different purpose which is to see the war memorial thus honor the dead. Here
Italians are perceives as people who care about people and not having possessions;
they rather honor the dead than stay inside and read. To sum up, this story is about
a couple in crisis because they are not on the same levels: one is already a man and
the other still a girl. We cannot say for a fact that the American wife is neglected

one thing is sure, her husband makes no attempts to change things. They have to

Listeria is a genus of Gram positive, rod shaped bacteria, containing a number of
species including L. monocytogenes, L. innocua, L. welshimeri, L. seeligeri, L.

A vegetarian is a person who does not eat meat poultry and fish. Vegetarians eat
mainly fruit, vegetables, legumes, grains, seeds and nuts. Vegetarians are classified
into multiple categories, which is distinguished by their eating habits and choice of
food. Lactovegetarians exclude meat, poultry, fish, and eggs from their diet, but
include dairy products. Most vegetarians in the United States are Lacto
ovevegetarians, which exclude all meat, poultry, and fish. Although, they include
eggs and dairy products. Ovo Vegetarians eat no meat, fish, poultry, or dairy, but eat
eggs. Partial vegetarians avoid meat but may eat fish. (Harvard Health). People may
become vegetarians for one or more reasons such as, personal health concerns,
environmental concerns, religious and/or spiritual beliefs, compassion for animals,
world hunger concerns and economic concerns, belief in nonviolence, and food
preferences (Brown University).
Veganismis often associated with vegetarianism. Vegans choose to solely eat from
The Plant Kingdom. Meaning they eat mostly vegetables, grains, nuts, legumes, fruits
and seeds. Veganism excludes dairy products, flesh, fish, fowl, poultry, honey, eggs,
animal gelatin and any other animal originated food. Veganism has more restrictions
and guidelines, in comparison to vegetarianism. Any animal products such as leather,
fur, wool, silk in clothing, upholstery, etc. are all excluded from their lifestyle as

43. Life Is Worth Living Essay
Would You Plug In?
What kind of life is worth living? Robert Nozick poses the question of whether it is
worth to live life the way it was planned for you or by having the power to pick and
choose the experiences you go through by plugging into the experience machine.
Before deciding to go into the machine, a person must think about what kind of life
is worth living. A life worth living is a life with as little suffering and hardship as
possible, where a person can be completely free to chase their dreams. So many
people look for a way to escape the pain that life brings and the experience machine
offers a way out. There are two main reasons to plug into the experience machine; a
person can escape the hardships of life and society s unrealistic expectations about
how to live life. Humans go through many hardships over their lifetime. They
experience love, loss, heartbreak, pain, work, happiness, sadness, and many more
things. People have to struggle through school to work their whole lives until they
die. These aspects of human life are used to mark where in the stages of life a person
is. To many, these stages define life and what it stands for, but they are not
necessary. A person doesn t have to go through loss to have a complete life. They
don t have to struggle to make ends meet because that s what life is supposed to be
like. they can sidetrack these moments if desired. A person can have a life filled
with happiness and no worry of having to get somewhere in life by plugging into
the experience machine. The experience machine has the capability of getting rid
of the hard things we go through. Instead of going through heartbreak, a person
can bypass that by programming the machine to only let them experience love.
Instead of working a grueling job that only pays minimum wage, a person can plug
into the experience machine to a life where they don t have to work to survive.
They can live a life full of happiness, instead of one filled with sadness and
hardships. Society places unrealistic expectations of human life. People are expected
to live their life a certain way and when they fall short of that, they are judged. One
problem is that many never get close to the expectations,

SOLONIA MEETS A FAMILY OF PUPPETEERS
Solonia feels alienated and alone. Not because she is, most of the young students
at the college want to be friends with her. She seems to them the kind of rebel spirit
that growing people take interest in, and even though she is appears taciturn, and at
times, downright brutish, this makes her all the more appealing, for she feels like
they do. Besides she is handsome and well poised, and has that expression of wit,
without speaking that makes her peers curious to know her thoughts. But it no act,
she prefers alienation, and on one or more occasion let it be known by way of terse
words in reaction to a kind hello or intentional chance meeting. But this is not her true

The Mountain Storm King Mountain is a mountain in the White National River
Forest of the Rocky Mountains, 5 miles northwest of Glenwood Springs, Colorado
in northeastern Garfield County. It is on the north side of the Colorado River and
Interstate 70, between Glenwood Springs and New Castle. The mountain has an
elevation change of 1,150 feet and is about 1mile long. The highest peak of the
mountain is recorded to be over 8700 feet. The topography of the mountain is a
steep rugged terrain with several gullies, broken ravines, and ridges. Vegetation in
the area primarily consisted of Gambel Oak, mixed Pinyon Juniper, Douglas Fir, and

started by the storm. It was in a remote area and wasn t a concern. With several
other fires burning, the BLM District started setting priorities for initial attack.
Highest priority assigned to fires threatening lives, residences, structures, utilities,
and to fires with the greatest potential for spread. The South Canyon fire did not
make the priority list. The South Canyon fire started on a high point on Hell s
Gate Ridge at the base of Storm King Mountain paralleled by two canyons or deep
drainages on the east and west sides. On July 3rd around noon the fire burned
downhill and had only covered about 3 acres, burning mostly cured grass, twigs,
and small shrubs. It continued to burn throughout the day and by midnight had
reached upwards to burning 11 acres. July 5th the fire had burned 50 acres and on
the 6th had reached 127 acres. Officials said the fire was steady until winds of
speeds between 30 45 mph picked up mid afternoon on the 6th. Winds were
blowing the fire over the ridges, upslope, and in the drainage. The winds gave the
fire a blow torch affect and caused it to spread rapidly everywhere. Studies say that
with the fire having practically unlimited fuel it was spreading at 3 feet per second
in the drainage areas, and moving upslope at 6 to 9 feet per

The toxicity of the two biorational insecticides, Spinosad and NPVs, against neonates
of Spodoptera littoralis (Bosiduval) (Lepidoptera:
Noctuidae) was tested under laboratory conditionsin order to determine the
competitive efficacy. The ability of Spinosad to protect the SpliNPV from Ultra
Violet effects under synthetic laboratory conditions was determined, and some
biological aspects of both biorational insecticides and their mixture were studied. In
order to determine whether or not there is a synergetic effect when both of these
biorational pesticides are added together, six different Spinosad concentrations (1, 2,
5, 10, 15 and 30 ppm) alone and mixed with a sub lethal concentration of SpliNPV

47. Robert Fulghum s Dinner Dandruff
Different authors have different styles just as humans express the way we feel by
the clothes we dress in or the items we put on our bodies. Styles of types of writing
are diction, syntax, and imagery. One author that can easily express his style with
these ways is the author Robert Fulghum. In his short story Dinner Dandruff his
style is expressed greatly by stating his point of views on a serious tone but adding
just enough humour. Robert shows his style through diction by instead of stating
gross and unsanitary he uses words like the stuff in the sink drainer was lethal and
septic. He then went on to state that if you did not wash your hands after touching
this lethal and septic items they would give you leprosy, or something worse.
48. Jamaic Out Of Many, One People
Jamaica: Out of Many, One People History of the Culture One would think that an
island would have a culture of its own with very little outside influence, however
that is not the case with this island. Located in the Caribbean Sea, Jamaica is rich
in culture from its European and African history. Jamaica was first populated by
the Taino people, who were also called Arawaks, in AD 600. It was then found by
Christopher Columbus in 1492, and shortly thereafter became a Spanish Territory.
A decade later, the population was equally split between Spanish and slaves with a
small percentage of free blacks and the native Taino people. In 1655, the English
army captured Jamaica and fifteen years later, Jamaica formerly concedes to
England. A decade later, the slaves, making up eighty four percent of the population,
decided to rebel. However, full emancipation from slavery happened in 1838, almost
a century later despite the gross population unbalance. Beginning in 1841, the island
started having more outside influence when the first indentured workers arrived
from Africa, India, China, Syria, Lebanon and the Mediterranean. In 1962, Jamaica
gained full independence from Britain after almost two decades of self government
formation. The history and vast cultural influences of Jamaica makes the country s
motto of Out of many, One People ring true. (Mordecai Mordecai, 2001) Slavery of
a nation is a tragic hardship of the people, however the abolition of slavery brought

Martin Gilens provides a comprehensive assessment of the economic inequality and
political power in America. He explores on how the affluence of politicians influences
the political setting of the country. According to the author, political equality is
considered as the philosophy of democracy. Due to the inequalities that exist among
the citizens regarding information, social and political affairs, it would be impractical
to anticipate equal influence over policymaking. Nature and the degree of
representative inequalities depict the extent of democracy in a particular society. The
author points out that when the inequalities in the political influence intensify,
democracy shifts into oligarchy, whereby the wealthy few rule the society.... Show

The article pinpoints the fact that it is difficult to disentangle the personal preferences
of the Congressional members from influences that could affect their behaviors in
decision making. There is no reliable technique of measuring the personal preferences
of the representatives that are unaffected by the demands presented by their
constituents. Various scholars who have analyzed this scenario have made efforts to
assess the roles that are played by individual preferences through identifying some
individual characteristics that are related to the interests and preferences of the
representative. For instance, the personal wealth of the member might be linked with
their economic policy preferences, and the use of tobacco by the member may be
linked to their tobacco legislation preferences.
Gilens also carried research on the professional histories of the representatives before
their entrance to the Congress. Unlike the previous assessment that the author had
carried out about the economic status, he found out that the histories of the members
are related to their Congressional voting records. Gilens also finds significant
differences between the representatives and most of the conformist professions. The
author attributes the differences to the types of districts or the states that the authors
were elected from instead of any independent influence of their professional
backgrounds. The article is further supplemented by
50. Historical Context of Barn Burning Essay
William Faulkner s Barn Burning takes a lot of real life cultural values and ways of
southern life in the late 1800s. Many of those values and ways are expressed by
sharecropping and tenant farming. Sharecropping and tenant farming began during
the end of the Civil war all through the great depression. Sharecroppingis an
agreement between a tenant and a landlord in which a tenant farmeris allowed to work
and live on a piece of land for free, but in exchange for living there for free, they give
the landlord a share of the crop they grow. Sharecropping was mainly big in the
southern states where slavery was once legal. The pay for being a tenant farmer was
very low and the living itself was not very desirable. In Faulkner s... Show more

These types of arrangements were quite common at this time between sharecroppers
and their landlords. The sharecroppers had little to no money, so the landlords
would charge them for items, or take an extra percentage of their crops. The setting
of this story is very important because it gives you a sense of what life was like back
during the late 1800s. Barn Burning takes place in the south after the civil war. After
the civil war, the south was in the period of reconstruction. A lot of the south was
destroyed from the war, and it affected everyone in the south from their economy, to
their personal lives. Many people lived impoverished like the Snopes family. Abner
Snopes holds a lot of resentment because he couldn t be successful in his life.
Instead of changing his life and working hard, he resents everything and everyone
around him. This attitude eventually leads to his downfall. William Faulkner s Barn
Burning takes a lot of real life situations and puts them into fiction. He is able to put
the life around him in to stories of fiction.

51. How To Write An Essay On The Battle Of Gettysburg Battle
From the time that English settlers first colonized North America with the first
permanent settlement in the early 17th century, people have been willing to give up
their lives to fight for what they believe in. The colonial wars, American
Revolution, and War of 1812 were all early wars fought by people who believed in
the right to freedom and a better life. This belief continued into the mid 19th century
when the newly independent United States broke into Civil War which became the
beginning fight for equality amongst all American men. The Union and Confederate
armies clashed for over four years for what is now known as the bloodiest war in
American history. Often times, battles are fought and lives are lost even though the

This is due to not only its importance in the outcome of the Civil War, but also from
the leadership displayed during the battle. The battle was led by two of the most
recognizable generals during this era. It was fought between General Robert E. Lee
and his Confederate Army of Northern Virginiaand General George G. Meade and
the Federal Army of the Potomac. Both generals already exhibited outstanding
leadership during the previous two years of the war. It, however, was the difference in
leadership during this one particular battle that helped shape the outcome the battle
and the war altogether.
Before the Gettysburg campaign even started, it can be noted that Lee made some
poor decisions about preparing for the march into northern territory. One unique
perspective on how General E. Lee s inadequate leadership during Gettysburg lost the
Confederate army the battle deals with his haphazard preparations from the maps he
was provided with. Jedidiah Hotchkiss was the staff topographical engineer for the
Confederate army. Before Stonewall Jackson s death, he asked Hotchkiss to prepare a
theater map of the northern territory including northern Virginia, Maryland, and south
central Pennsylvania. After

I want to attend the United States Naval Academy for a variety of reasons, but my
primary motivation is that I want to serve as an officer in the United States Navy.
The concept of purpose best describes why I want to become a Naval Officer.
Throughout high school, I have cherished my opportunities to lead teams towards the
accomplishment of meaningful goals, such as collecting life saving blood for nearby
hospitals, and assisting struggling students and community members. These service
opportunities are deeply meaningful to me, but as I have learned from my
grandfather, who served in the U.S. Army during World War Two, my step father, a

Officer during the Vietnam... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Naval Academy offers an exceptional education and impressive academic
internships with institutions such as NASA Boeing and summer training cruises
within the Navy itself. These challenging opportunities will enable me to further
develop my leadership critical thinking skills. I have successfully used these skills
in the past, but a Naval Academy education will further refine them, allowing me to
serve my country fully, both on active duty and in the years to follow. In September,
I had the opportunity to visit the Naval Academy for a Candidate Visit Weekend.
During my two night visit, I was paired with a current midshipman, whom I
accompanied to classes, meals, and a sports practice. Personally experiencing daily
life at the Academy and meeting current midshipmen has reinforced my desire to join
their ranks. The most inspiring thing about the midshipmen I met was the effort that
they put into succeeding. Being a part of this culture, even for two days, has shown
me that I can work just a little harder, and that I can push myself just a little further.
Since returning home, I have done just that in numerous ways. My goal of serving
our country with meaningful purpose and responsibility is clear to me. I am
confident that attending the United States Naval Academy is the most effective way
for me to achieve this objective, and for this reason, I request your

54. Complex Moralities (the Hunchback of Notre Dame)
Jessie Harrington Complex Moralities According to Aristotle, for a writer to create
an interesting character it must be morally complex, meaning it must consist of
not only good or bad morals, but both. Victor Hugo s The Hunchback of Notre
Dame has a few examples of this trait in its main characters. Claude Frollo, the
priest, shows moral complexity, as he is the novel s antagonist but is also very
compassionate in his feelings toward Esmeralda. Phoebus, who is a nobleman, a
soldier, and the captain of the King s archers, is also one to cheat on his fiance,
Fleur de Lys de Gondelaurier, and later ignore his chance to save Esmeralda during
her execution. Quasimodo is another quality example of moral... Show more content

For example after he was whipped for an hour all he asked for was water. Everyone
listening to him laughed at him but Esmeralda gave him water. This is ironic
because the reason that he was being whipped was because he attacked Esmeralda,
yet she was the only one to show him sympathy and give him water. Quasimodo
was so touched by her kind gesture that from that eye, hitherto so dry and burning,
was seen to roll a big tear, which fell slowly down that deformed visage so long
contracted by despair (Hugo 322). From then on Quasimodo became very loyal to
Esmeralda. Though this is true, he turns on Frollo, the man who raised him and
took him in when he had no one, because he is responsible for Esmeralda s death.
During Esmeralda s hanging he couldn t bare the rage, he took a few steps back
from the archdeacon, and then, rushing at him furiously, with his two huge hands, he
struck the priest s back and pushed Dom Claude into the abyss over which he had
been leaning (Hugo 300). Though his morals may not have been commendable, his
heart and intentions are genuine. Frollo s bad decisions and confusing feelings,
Phoebus s corrupt loyalty but heroic stature, and Quasimodo s twisted priorities but
kind heart reflect true imperfection of the human spirit. Victor Hugo used Aristotle s
methods of giving a character moral complexity to make the reader more

56. The Role Of Modernism In Conrad Vs. Richardson
Conrad vs. Richardson: The Fight for the New Woman
Modernism emerged onto the literature scene with many purposes, one of which
being the experimentation with normative ideals in literature. The emergence of
modernism in the western world arrives at a pivotal time during the women s rights
movement (Ross 25). Dorothy Richardson s The Tunnel, the fourth book in a
thirteen book series titled Pilgrimage, is an influential and early feminist novel for
its date of publication of 1918. Miriam Henderson, the protagonist of this novel
leads a life completely independent from the financial and social stability that a man
may bring to a marriage. Though Miriam experiences a certain level of tumult
towards her role in society as a new woman, Richardson provides the entirety of the
novel for Miriam s growth and agency of her own life. Joseph Conrad, a prominent
author during the modernist period, claims in his Author s Note that his novel The
Secret Agent is telling Winnie Verloc s story (Conrad 36), despite Mr. Verloc s self
proclaimed nature as a secret agent . Conrad s attempts at creating a feminist and
modernist image of Winnie are shadowed by the constant presence of a man behind
her actions. Conrad s use of repetition of the words free woman in the text falsifies
this claim even further. If the purpose of modernist literature is to break conventions
of the past such as gender ideals of women in marriage, why do The Tunnel and The
Secret Agent differ so wildly in their
