Performance appraisal is a process that measures an employee's current and future performance and potential through analyzing information obtained about their work. Self appraisal is an important part where the employee rates themselves on parameters and discusses their accomplishments, strengths, weaknesses, training needs, and problems faced. When doing a self appraisal, one should be honest, prepared, objective, positive, cover all aspects, and seek future responsibilities.
