Seize the Moment: Make the Future Extraordinary

  1. I believe this quote from the late Robyn Williams is very apt when talking about our digital strategy
  2. There will be lots of words spoken today but my challenge for you is to help make the future extraordinary! Make your words matter. The future is not something we enter but something we create.
  3. Although words are cheap and we need to avoid simplistic slogans, DCU is very much a University focused on the future. The NIDL is evidence of our commitment to supporting new models of learning and teaching. I’m often asked why I moved from New Zealand to Ireland and I can honestly say that the major attraction was the opportunity to work at such an “extraordinary” university. DCC is a modern 21syt Century digital-era university with a strong vision and steadfast mission of transforming lives and societies.
  4. The level of innovation at DCU is extraordinary given the current challenging environment. Last month under the leadership of… Lego Education Innovation Studio.
  5. Earlier this month as part of our 1916 commenerations we launched the Mindrising initiative.
  6. And MOOC woth more to come undfer the DCU Open Academy.
  7. Our first course will be on the Irish Language.
  8. Not much magic here!
