This document proposes a secured way of offloading mobile cloud processes to reduce computation power usage on smartphones. It introduces a ternary decision making (TDM) framework that determines whether a task should be performed on the smartphone or offloaded to the cloud based on estimated execution time and energy consumption. The tasks are offloaded to the cloud for remote execution using an encryption technique for security. This results in reduced computation power usage and battery consumption on smartphones by utilizing cloud resources instead.
Many of mobile devices suffer from limited computation resources (memory and processors), limited network
connection, bandwidth and limited battery life. For minimizing these problems mobile agents are premising
technology. However, for clients and servers most mobile agent systems are very resources demanding. This
research paper describes an approach to run mobile agents on different devices from mobile phones and
Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs) to powerful PCs. It proposes a simple mobile agent architecture and
middleware that makes it possible for accessing a mobile agent system on different devices. This architecture
and middleware proposes that clients will state their abilities. Depending on these abilities, the client will either
run the full mobile agent on the device or only run a light-weight version of the agent on the device. The mobile
agents are basically same on all clients, but code of the mobile agent is removed for small devices. This means
that only the data of the agent can be changed for mobile devices with minimal resources. The code of this agent
is stored at the server. When the agent returns to the server, the two parts are joined and the agent is ready to be
executed. The joined mobile agent can migrate to other agent servers and clients. A middleware is also proposed
that makes it possible to establish communication between different heterogeneous devices.
Functional requirements of intelligent object frameworkijscai
Intelligent Object Framework (IOF) is a new communication standard over a wireless network supporting
existing multiple sets of architectural solutions. The Framework consists of a framework design that
enables devices of different platforms to communicate by a common data exchange model via a device
management controller. This paper provides a descriptive analysis of functional requirements for the IOF.
The purpose of the proposed system is to provide a platform independent device (Intelligent Object)
management by utilization of set components. The functional requirements focus on deriving primary
functionality of server and client applications by description of required inputs, behaviours and outputs.
Device to evaluate cleanliness of fiber optic connectors using image processi...IJECEIAES
This work proposes a portable, handheld electronic device, which measures the cleanliness in fiber optic connectors via digital image processing and artificial neural networks. Its purpose is to reduce the evaluation subjectivity in visual inspection done by human experts. Although devices with this purpose already exist, they tend to be cost-prohibitive and do not take advantage of neither image processing nor artificial intelligence to improve their results. The device consists of an optical microscope for fiber optic connector analysis, a digital camera adapter, a reduced-board computer, an image processing algorithm, a neural network algorithm and an LCD screen for equipment operation and results visualization. The image processing algorithm applies grayscale histogram equalization, Gaussian filtering, Canny filtering, Hough transform, region of interest segmentation and obtaining radiometric descriptors as inputs to the neural network. Validation consisted of comparing the results by the proposed device with those obtained by agreeing human experts via visual inspection. Results yield an average Cohen's Kappa of 0.926, which implies a very satisfactory performance by the proposed device.

Energy Optimized Link Selection Algorithm for Mobile Cloud ComputingEswar Publications
Mobile cloud computing is the revolutionary distributed computing research area which consists of three different domains: cloud computing, wireless networks and mobile computing targeting to improve the task computational capabilities of the mobile devices in order to minimize the energy consumption. Heavy computations can be offloaded to the cloud to decrease energy consumption for the mobile device. In some mobile cloud applications, it has been more energy inefficient to use the cloud compared to the conventional computing conducted in the local device. Despite mobile cloud computing being a reliable idea, still faces several
problems for mobile phones such as storage, short battery life and so on. One of the most important concerns for mobile devices is low energy consumption. Different network links has different bandwidths to uplink and downlink task as well as data transmission from mobile to cloud or vice-versa. In this paper, a novel optimal link selection algorithm is proposed to minimize the mobile energy. In the first phase, all available networks are
scanned and then signal strength is calculated. All the calculated signals along with network locations are given
input to the optimal link selection algorithm. After the execution of link selection algorithm, an optimal network link is selected.

ENERGY EFFICIENT COMPUTING FOR SMART PHONES IN CLOUD ASSISTED ENVIRONMENTIJCNCJournal
In recent years, the employment of smart mobile phones has increased enormously and are concerned as an area of human life. Smartphones are capable to support immense range of complicated and intensive applications results shortened power capability and fewer performance. Mobile cloud computing is the newly rising paradigm integrates the features of cloud computing and mobile computing to beat the constraints of mobile devices. Mobile cloud computing employs computational offloading that migrates the computations from mobile devices to remote servers. In this paper, a novel model is proposed for dynamic task offloading to attain the energy optimization and better performance for mobile applications in the cloud environment. The paper proposed an optimum offloading algorithm by introducing new criteria such as benchmarking for offloading decision making. It also supports the concept of partitioning to divide the computing problem into various sub-problems. These sub-problems can be executed parallelly on mobile device and cloud. Performance evaluation results proved that the proposed model can reduce around 20% to 53% energy for low complexity problems and up to 98% for high complexity problems.
Fog computing or fog networking, also known as fogging, is an architecture that uses edge devices to carry out a substantial amount of computation, storage, and communication locally and routed over the internet backbone.
Mobile devices such as smart phones, have gained enormous popularity over the last few years. Smart phones are now capable of supporting a large number of applications, many of which demand an ever increasing computational power. However, Battery life of mobile devices remains a key limiting factor in the design of mobile applications. This paper firstly emphasizes on reviewing various techniques used to enhance battery life of smart phones. At the end, on the basis of comparative studies, suggestions are given to extend the energy efficiency of smart phones.

Cosmetic shop management system project report.pdfKamal Acharya
Buying new cosmetic products is difficult. It can even be scary for those who have sensitive skin and are prone to skin trouble. The information needed to alleviate this problem is on the back of each product, but it's thought to interpret those ingredient lists unless you have a background in chemistry.
Instead of buying and hoping for the best, we can use data science to help us predict which products may be good fits for us. It includes various function programs to do the above mentioned tasks.
Data file handling has been effectively used in the program.
The automated cosmetic shop management system should deal with the automation of general workflow and administration process of the shop. The main processes of the system focus on customer's request where the system is able to search the most appropriate products and deliver it to the customers. It should help the employees to quickly identify the list of cosmetic product that have reached the minimum quantity and also keep a track of expired date for each cosmetic product. It should help the employees to find the rack number in which the product is placed. It is also Faster and more efficient way.
