Virtual Reality 12/06/2015
In your own words and in a summary paragraph, what information does this researchsource tell you?
It tells me about what virtual reality is and the history of it and the different uses of it and what in such
as; video games, music, fine art, education and training. A quote from the website tells you was virtual
reality is ‘Virtual Reality (VR),which can be referredto as immersive multimedia or computer-simulated
life, replicates an environment that simulates physical presence in places in the realworld or imagined
worlds. Virtual reality can recreate sensory experiences, which include virtual taste, sight, smell, sound,
and touch.’
Is the information in this source the point of view of one person or severalpeople? (Summarize in a
paragraph & clearly state name(s) ofpeople who have contributed if known)
I don’tthink it is target to anyone, it is justtargeted to anyone who is interested in the topic there are a few pe ople
who were pioneers or notables, theyare; Maurice Benayoun, Mark Bolas,Fred Brooks,Anshe Chung,Edmond
Couchot,James H.Clark, Doug Church, Char Davies,Tom DeFanti,David Em, Scott Fisher,William Gibson,
Morton Heilig,Eric Howlett, Myron Krueger, Knowbotic Research,Jaron Lanier,Brenda Laurel,Palmer Luckey,
Michael Naimark,RandyPausch,Mark Pesce,Warren Robinett, Philip Rosedale,Louis Rosenberg, Dan Sandin,
Susumu Tachi and Ivan Sutherland this seems to be a wide range of people working on virtual reality.
Is the researchsource factual (providing information), opinion led (the authors point of view) or both?
It is factual because it is from Wikipedia, most of is it seems to be because of the well-known site to get
information from, readers canimprove the site in case there are any mistakes which is a good thing
because it is always recent news and people want to know about it instead of old information.
What is the key question(s) the author of the researchis addressing?
I don’t really see many questions but maybe; the history of virtual reality, the impact, the use, the
Implementation, the Concerns and challenges, the Pioneers and notables.
In your opinion, what is the most important information in the researchsource?
How virtual reality works and what it can be used for because, I’m creating posters, but if I was further
developed I want to make it accurate to the real thing or what can be possible in the future with virtual
reality. I would also think that some aspects of the history would be important, I could do homage in the
film/poster of the person who createdso like a cameo, a picture of some kind.
What conclusions have you arrived at after conducting this research?
The information is quite useful because it is a crucial aspect to my project because without the virtual
reality the story wouldn’t make sense, so it is crucial to be as accurate as possible this makes it looks
realistic and people can relate to it when looking at the posters.
