Title: Contract Surveyor for;
o Asian Mineral Resources, Ban Phuc Underground Nickel Mine - Vietnam
o Mawson West, Kapulo Open Pit Copper Mine – Democratic Republic of Congo
o Mawson West, Dikulushi Exploration – Democratic Republic of Congo
o BHP Billiton Cliffs Underground Nickel Mine – Leinster Western Australia
o Byrnecut Offshore – Jabal Sayid Copper Mine Saudi Arabia
Duties/Responsibilities:
Currently working for BOSA (Byrnecut Offshore Saudi Arabia) in Saudi Arabia as the Senior
Project Surveyor. The role has been varied and allowed me to fulfil several roles at the same
time
o Surveyor
o Truck Driver
o Nipper
o IT Driver
o Shiftboss
The project has allowed me to see to fill roles that I may not have otherwise been allowed or
qualified to do so back in Asutralia. But the small autonomous nature of the project has
allowed me to experience these roles and this has greatly benefited me both on a
professional level but also personally.
For the offshore contract roles my main areas of responsibility was to review current survey
techniques and procedures and suggest and implement improvements in the use of survey
equipment and software. Motivate the surveyor team to embrace current industry best
technology and to encourage pro-active behaviours rather than re-active behaviour to the
mines survey requirements of a high speed mechanised mine.
Other contract roles are daily survey tasks as required by an underground operation or open
pit to maintain production & development targets
