A series of witnesses being questioned about the murder

M/S OF THE FIRST WITNESS- OLIVIA MONTFORD (HANDS ARE
VISIBLE)
OLIVIA MONTFORD (female,28), mid-sentence, being shown
images of the crime scene, and the murdered victim.

OLIVIA
(Exasperated)
... He'd never do anything like
this!
THE SECOND WITNESS - EXTREME C/U OF HANDS
Male, 28 years old, has known Spencer for over 20 years
UNIDENTIFIED MALE
(Disbelief)
... I've known him my whole life!
THE THIRD WITNESS- EXTREME C/U OF HIS EYES
Male, 18, young friend of Spencer, his maths tutor, helps
him with his homework.
YOUNG UNIDENTIFIED MALE
(Sad, loss for words)
...He would never...
The 18 year-old looks up at the interrogator with
distraught and confusion on his face.
CUT BACK TO THE FIRST WITNESS- EXTREME C/U OF LIPS
Her lips are the only thing in frame as she delivers her
line.
OLIVIA
... I was with him for the whole
day before it happened...
(CUT TO BLACK)

FADE IN:
INT. INTERROGATION ROOM. NIGHT
Establishing the scene, we have the two interrogators,
both male, (aged late 20s). Both attempting to crack
Spencer Timely, who's currently sitting, chained to the
table, clearly exhausted as if he'd been in that same
position for a few hours, while accusatory (inaudible)
remarks are being made towards him. Spencer remains
silent.
AERIAL W/S OF THE THREE MEN IN THE INTERROGATION ROOM
Both interrogators still shouting down at Spencer. With
all the men in the room, their sleeves are rolled up, the
time stamps visible. With both interrogator's times
coming up to around 70 years left. Spencer's time reads
000-00-13-06-57-23. (YEARS-MONTHS-DAYS-HOURS-MINUTES-
SECONDS)
LOW ANGLED M/S OF SPENCER
No emotions can be read from Spencers facial expression;
he begins to shiver slightly as the noise begins to fade
into the room.
(RADIO SNAPS TO LIFE, ALONG WITH THE INTERROGATORS WHO
ARE YELLING MID-SENTENCE; "THE KINKS- YOU GOT ME" PLAYING
ON THE RADIO)
OVER THE SHOULDER ON SPENCER, SHOWING INTERROGATOR #1
REACTING TO THE RADIO
The lyrics "Yeah, you really got me now" play before the
interrogator turns it off.
INTERROGATOR #1
(With annoyance,
irritated)
UGHHH, why do we still have these
things! They should've stayed in
2020!
Hits the radio with frustration, causing the music to
turn to static. The static continues to run in the
background.
Interrogator #2 replies with a chuckle, looking at the
first interrogator; he then turns to Spencer, leaning in,
the expression on his face quickly changing from one of
enjoyment to one of annoyance.

INTERROGATOR #2
(Stern; whispering)
You've been in here for far too
long. Unless you want to start
setting up a little tent in here,
i suggest you tell something,
ANYTHING, about your night at the
hotel.
Spencer doesn't react to the interrogator's mild threat,
he simply looks down at his interlocked fingers, giving a
quick glance at his time stamp, counting down every
second that he's in that room.
Interrogator #2 then leans back and grabs the chair next
to the table, turns in around and sits on it. Leaning
forward on the backrest of the chair, having already
noticed Spencer's glance towards his arm.
A small glance towards Interrogator #1 causes him to un
cross his arms and sit beside Interrogator #2.
INTERROGATOR #1
(Amused)
70 years right?
He directs his line towards Interrogator #2, as if
seeking assurance but also teasing.
INTERROGATOR #2
Yeah, something thing like that...
(Guffaws)
I wonder what he had to do to get
his time so low.
INTERROGATOR #1
(Mocking manner)
Considering everyone that we've
brought in has talked about him in
such nice manner, I have no clue.
Interrogator #1 then takes out the murder file, showing
Spencer the state in which Cylia Ramos was left in. In
one of the evidence pictures a leather glove can be seen
in the corner on the frame.
Interrogator #1 stands up forcefully, slamming his hand
on the table.
INTERROGATOR #1
(Angered; frustrated)
Look at what YOU DID to her! What
kind of sick and twisted thing
were you on?
Interrogator #1 holds up the photograph, not visible to
the viewer.

INTERROGATOR #1 (CONT'D)
(stern)
HOW. DID. You do it?
The static of the radio that was running on in the
background sputters to life again, still playing the same
song, with the same lyrics ("THE KINKS- YOU GOT ME")
Interrogator #1 rolls his eyes in annoyance while
interrogator #2 simply 'urghhs'.
"You really got me" lyrics play again until interrogators
turns it off, replacing the music with static once more.
INTERROGATOR #1
(Irritated)
Seriously? Does that thing have a
life of its own?
Interrogator #1 stands up to go and switch the radio off
again. Once the radio is switched off he turns around and
looks at Spencer for a few seconds. He then turns his
attention towards the second interrogator, who simply
turns around and motions them to go outside.
CUT TO:
INT. OUTSIDE INTERROGATION ROOM. NIGHT
OVER THE SHOULDER OF THE TWO INTERROGATORS STANDING SIDE
BY SIDE, FACING THE ONE SIDED INTERROGATION WINDOW.
The interrogators are in mid-discussion, wondering why
they still haven't cracked him yet.
INTERROGATOR #2
(confused)
I don't get it. I REALLY don't get
it. From witness reports, his time
stamp and the fact that he was
PRESENT at the scene of the
crime...
The interrogator huffs.
INTERROGATOR #2 (CONT'D)
I don't, I really don't... He
should've cracked by now.
Interrogator #2 turns to #1 waiting for a response.
Interrogator #1 has his arm folded across his chest,
going over the evidence in his head.
INTERROGATOR #1
What if he didn't do it...

INTERROGATOR #2
(Confused)
What?
INTERROGATOR #1
What if he hasn't confessed 'cause
he didn't do it?
He walks over to the table where the evidence and
recording tapes are laid out, he opens one of the files
to show an image of one of the witnesses that got brought
in for questioning.
SHOT PANS INTO THE IMAGE OF THE YOUNGEST WITNESS, THE 18
YEAR OLD, SHOT GOES THROUGH THE IMAGE AND INTO THE
FLASHBACK.
A series of shots are shown with the previous interviews
that were done with the witnesses while Interrogator #1
explains it all in a V.O.
INTERROGATOR #1 (V.O.)
(CONT'D)
Think about it, he hasn't said a
word since he's been in here,
maybe because he's protecting
someone. The other witnesses that
were in here were practically
singing like birds, or however the
expression goes...
(Long pause)... They were all
wearing winter clothing, but did
you notice something weird?
INTERROGATOR #2 (V.O)
No... What?
INTERROGATOR #1 (V.O)
The gloves, one of them is missing
a glove...
The camera cuts back to the present, where Interrogator
#1 is going through the evidence, while the Interrogator
#2 is standing, arms crossed listening to him.
INTERROGATOR #2
What?
INTERROGATOR #1
Look!
Interrogator #1 motions towards a laptop in which shows
the recorded interrogation of Olivia Montford, who is
missing a glove.

Her voice echoes.
