VERTICAL PAN - WIDE SHOT
An in-progress proceeding of the case of one James Jordon,
one day after the murder of Lily James.
(James is already standing on the
victim stand, The shot will start
from the roof of the courthouse
and will end with a symmetrical
shot of the judge on his table)
CUT TO:
INT. COURTROOM - VICTIM STAND - DAY
MEDIUM SHOT
JAMES JORDON is standing within the stall, in the background,
some rules are being discussed for the proceeding. while this
is going on we are hearing an internal monologue from JAMES
JORDON.
JAMES JORDAN
"I loved my wife, and I have my entire
life to prove it. she was the reason I
came home every day, she was the
reason I woke up in the morning, why I
spent most of my day working just so
that I could give her the life she
deserved"
LAWYER
"Your honor, it is requested that at
the first sight of evidence in favor
of the defendant, the trial shall be
called off"
(The lawyer's and Jame's dialogue
will play at the same time with
the lawyer's dialogue muffled in
the background, Detail of sweat
flowing on Jame's face)

INT. POLICE STATION - INVESTIGATION ROOM - NIGHT

An officer is interrogating JAMES JORDON
(James' dialogue from the previous
scene continues into this scene,
Detail James is still in his work
clothes which have bright red
spots all over them)

MEDIUM CLOSE-UP SHOT
JAMES is trying to convince the officer
JAMES JORDON
"That is why I am telling you officer,
I DID NOT KILL MY WIFE!"
JUMP CUT TO:
INT. EDWARD'S CAR - DAY
MEDIUM SHOT
EDWARD WATSON is sleeping in his car, drooling from his
mouth, and with a bottle in one hand. someone passes by his
car slipping an envelope through the slightly open window,
the envelope lands in his lap. A few seconds later something
hits the car that jerks awake EDWARD, who wakes up enraged
and peeks his head outside of his car.
CUT TO:
EXT. EDWARDS CAR - STREET - DAY
WIDE SHOT
EDWARD peeks his head out of the car, sees a couple of kids
playing soccer, and he screams at the kids.
EDWARD WATSON
"Hey what do you think you're doing,
you brats"
ONE OF THE KIDS
"Sorry about that mister"
(As the scene starts we see one of
the kids picking up the ball that
was slowly rolling towards him)

The kid who said sorry makes a snarky remark.
THE KID
"I was aiming for your face"
(Cameo by me, the director)

INT. EDWARD'S CAR - DAY
MEDIUM SHOT
EDWARD now even angrier starts to get out of his car,
unbuckling his seatbelt and reaching out for the door handle.
As he starts to get up he feels something on his lap, looks
down, and sees the envelope. He grabs it and then starts
opening it.
EDWARD WATSON
"Why you little..."
(He feels the envelope at the end
of this dialogue)
CUT TO:
CLOSE-UP SHOT
EDWARD lifts the front of the envelope, taking out a piece of
paper and some money, he puts the money aside and reads the
piece of paper. A wide smile forms on his face.
(there will be a close-up shot of
the envelope in the foreground
and Edwards face in the
background, once he's read it the
focus will shift to his face to
see the smile. Detail the money
will have to be UK pounds printed
out)
CUT TO:
MEDIUM SHOT
EDWARD throws the money and piece of paper off to the side
and then reaches for the steering wheel.
CUT TO:
CLOSE-UP SHOT
Edward starts the car

EDWARD pulls into the driveway of the courtroom in his car
and then gets out and walks toward the entrance of the
courthouse.

OVER THE SHOULDER SHOT
EDWARD enters the courthouse
(The camera will follow Edward
throughout his walk toward the
entrance)

INT. COURTROOM - DAY
WIDE SHOT
EDWARD enters the courtroom, bursting through the doors.
(The camera will be the point of
view of the judge, Detail when he
comes through the door everyone
in the room looks toward him,
Detail James will be sitting on
the defendant's desk and won't
bat an eye to Edward's entrance)

EDWARD is walking toward the victim stand, remarking about
the empty courtroom.
EDWARD WATSON
"Wow, I was expecting a much livelier
audience, what is this?"
CUT TO:
TWO-SHOT
EDWARD approaches one of the lawyers and engages in a
conversation, the lawyer asks EDWARD to leave, and then
EDWARD shows him the letter
THE LAWYER
"I am sorry sir this is a closed case,
I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask
you to leave"
EDWARD WATSON
"Don't be, I'm not leaving"
THE LAWYER
"Si....."
(The lawyer was going to say sir
but gets cut off by EDWARD
handing him the letter he
received)
CUT TO:
CLOSE-UP SHOT
EDWARD outstretches his arm to give the lawyer the letter.
The lawyer takes it and then opens it and read the piece of
paper
(The camera will focus on the
letter from a low angle, only for
the focus to shift to the lawyer
once he has read it)

The lawyer once done reading lifts his head to face EDWARD

The lawyer asks Edward whether he knew who this letter was

THE LAWYER
"You wouldn't happen to know who sent
this letter, would you?

EDWARD responds to the lawyer's question. The lawyer then
welcomes him to the case and then calls JAMES JORDON and
introduces EDWARD to him.
EDWARD WATSON
"Not a clue"
THE LAWYER
"Well then mister..."
EDWARD WATSON
"Watson"
THE LAWYER
"Mr. Watson, welcome to the case, I
would like u to meet the defendant"
THE LAWYER
"Mr. Jordan if you may"

JAMES gets up from his seat and walks toward EDWARD
(James will get up and walk
towards the camera to signify him
walking towards Edward)

TWO SHOT
EDWARD and JAMES approach each other and shake hands.
(The camera will focus mostly on )

because believe me I would never even
lay a hand on my wife"
EDWARD WATSON
"As much as I want to I can't do that
just yet, why don't you come here,
lets sit."
They walk toward the victim stand.

"Now, tell me everything that
happened"

EDWARD and JAMES converse
JAMES JORDAN
"I dunno what happened, I was at work
it had been a rough day, we were
behind on rent so id been working
extra hours, and so I came home late.
And what was usually the best part
about my day turned into my worse. I
was greeted with my wife's dead body
on the floor and my best friend
nowhere to be found. And the cops
showed up out of nowhere, saying they
had received a call from my address,
they saw me next to my wife and they
arrested me, interrogated me, and I
told them over and over again that I
didn't kill my wife. But they didn't
believe me. YOU have to believe me, my
heads been so clouded I can't even
defend myself, you need to find
something that proves my innocence.
Please.I(STUTTER)I(PAUSE) I don't know
what to do."

EDWARD leaves JAMES at the stand and walks towards the exit.

EDWARD leaves the courthouse, while doing this he
contemplates in his head about what he just heard. He enters
his car and leaves.
(The camera is in front of EDWARD
walking backwards, it turns
around Edward when he reaches his
car and then remains stationary.)

CUT TO: TWO-SHOT EDWARD approaches one of the lawyers and engages in a conversation, the lawyer asks EDWARD to leave, and then EDWARD shows him the letter THE LAWYER "I am sorry sir this is a closed case, I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask you to leave" EDWARD WATSON "Don't be, I'm not leaving" THE LAWYER "Si....." (The lawyer was going to say sir but gets cut off by EDWARD handing him the letter he received) CUT TO: CLOSE-UP SHOT EDWARD outstretches his arm to give the lawyer the letter. The lawyer takes it and then opens it and read the piece of paper (The camera will focus on the letter from a low angle, only for the focus to shift to the lawyer once he has read it) CUT TO: CLOSE-UP SHOT The lawyer once done reading lifts his head to face EDWARD

CUT TO: TWO SHOT EDWARD responds to the lawyer's question. The lawyer then welcomes him to the case and then calls JAMES JORDON and introduces EDWARD to him. EDWARD WATSON "Not a clue" THE LAWYER "Well then mister..." EDWARD WATSON "Watson" THE LAWYER "Mr. Watson, welcome to the case, I would like u to meet the defendant" THE LAWYER "Mr. Jordan if you may" CUT TO: MEDIUM SHOT JAMES gets up from his seat and walks toward EDWARD (James will get up and walk towards the camera to signify him walking towards Edward) CUT TO: TWO SHOT EDWARD and JAMES approach each other and shake hands. And what was usually the best part about my day turned into my worse. I was greeted with my wife's dead body on the floor and my best friend nowhere to be found. And the cops showed up out of nowhere, saying they had received a call from my address, they saw me next to my wife and they arrested me, interrogated me, and I told them over and over again that I didn't kill my wife. But they didn't believe me. YOU have to believe me, my heads been so clouded I can't even defend myself, you need to find something that proves my innocence.
