2. I created a new a project which was made up
of 3 columns, and added a single page which
I was then able to change the background
colour to black so this links into my front
cover and keep the colour scheme black as
black is what my target audience used to
describe what colours they associate with
the indie genre.
I then added my masthead and
subheading to create familiarity with my
audience with ‘indie now’. I chose the
text to be white as it did on the front
cover it stood out on the black
background and grabs the reader's
attention

3. Next , I imported all my text that I had
originally typed on a Word document and
formatted to the font size, font and colour. I
chose to use white and red as I believe it is
easy on the eye for my reader as well as it
standing out it was also what my target
audience said best describes the indie
genre.
I then added my primary images that I
wanted to use for my contents page in
the 3rd column, which I believe is very
effective as it is easy on the eye and
isn't messy as the images are straight
down the right hand side.

4. I then added a editor's letter, with a
Bradley Hand ITC font as it looks like a
hand written letter which I believe is
effective as it looks personal which we
grab the reader's attention and makes it
less formal as that is what my target
audience prefer to see rather than it
being formal. Which follows the codes
and conventions of a music magazine.
Next, I added the page numbers to the
images this makes it easy for the reader
to navigate through the magazine, and
follows the codes and conventions of a
professional magazine.

5. I then added my front cover to the top right
corner of my magazine to create repetition
and also familiarity with the audience.
Finally I added the website and the page
number at the bottom of the page, so the
reader is able to navigate themselves
through the magazine easier, and the
website so if they want any further
information of subscription or the magazine
in general they will know where to go this
also follows the codes and conventions of a
music magazine
