2. Background
I made the background of
my contents page using
rectangles which are
black and white. This will
make what I insert onto
the contents page stand
out more. Furthermore,
the background it black
and white so it fits in with
the colour scheme of my
magazine.
3. Masthead
I then inserted the
masthead of my
magazine onto my
contents page. It is the
same one that is on the
front cover so that it
gives the magazine a
sense of familiarity and
lets the reader identify
with it.
4. Title
I then inserted the title
‘CONTENTS’ at the top of
the page. I added this in a
different font and made it
the biggest text on the
page. This makes it stand
out more to the reader. I
also made it red to catch
the attention of the
readers and match the
colour scheme of my
magazine.
5. Issue date and number
I then added the date and
issue number of the
magazine which
corresponds with the one
on the front cover. The
fact that it matches the
one on the front cover
makes the magazine link
together so the reader
sees it as more
professional.
6. Images
I then added images
onto my contents
page. Two of these
images were taken at
gigs that I went to and
the other is the editor
picture. The images
correspond with the
content I will add onto
the contents page.
7. Content
I then added the
content of the page in
two sections: Regular
and Feature. This
follows the codes and
conventions of
magazines in the media
and so I decided to use
the same layout on
mine. There is also
white rectangles on the
background of the
‘Features’ and ‘Regular’
titles to make them
stand out more and
easier for the reader to
see.
8. Social Media Links
I then included the
links to the social
medias of the
magazine. This is so if
the reader wanted,
they could go online
and find out extra
information. It also
makes the magazine
look more
professional.
9. Editors Letter
Finally, I added my
editors letter. This is
so the magazine
looks more
professional. IT will
also make the reader
identify with the
magazine more as
they can see who
works on it, allowing
them to become
familiar with it.
