Think of your fellow man,
Lend him a helping hand
Put a little love in your heart
You see, it's getting late,
Oh, please don't hesitate
Put a little love in your heart
And the world will be a better place
And the world will be a better place
For you and me
You just wait and see
Another day goes by,
And still the children cry
Put a little love in your heart
If you want the world to know,
We won't let hatred grow
Put a little love in your heart
And the world will be a better place
And the world will be a better place
For you and me
You just wait and see.
Wait and see
Take a good look around
And if you're lookin' down
Put a little love in your heart
I hope when you decide
Kindness will be your guide
Put a little love in your heart
And the world will be a better place
And the world will be a better place
For you and me
You just wait and see
Put a little love in your heart
Put a little love in your heart

Editor's Notes

  • #5 It’s Red Nose Day 2017! We’re all going to join together – pupils, teachers, parents, comedians, celebrities – to raise money for Red Nose Day on Friday 24th March.
  • #6 Show your pupils this short film about Hassan, a 12-year-old boy from Freetown in Sierra Leone, Africa. Hassan became an orphan when his mother died of Ebola. But the good news is a project funded by Red Nose Day cash is helping him. Street Child Sierra Leone has enabled Hassan to continue going to school by helping to cover his school fees and providing him with a backpack and books. The film will help your pupils understand the challenges faced by children in Sierra Leone and how money raised for Red Nose Day helps. You should be able to stream the film from this presentation by clicking on the play button. Please ensure that external content is enabled. If you experience any problems with this you can download the film (or stream it) at rednoseday.com/hassan What do you think would be the hardest thing about Hassan’s life? How is money raised by Red Nose Day making a difference to Hassan? How might going to school make a difference to his future?
  • #7 As you’ve seen from the film, Red Nose Day money changes lives for the better. That’s why so many people across the UK come together to fundraise for Red Nose Day. And that’s why we’re going to do our best to raise as much money as we can.
  • #26 So don’t forget – Red Nose Day will take place on Friday 24th March. Let’s all do our best to raise as much money as we can!
