- #6 Across some of the poorest parts of Africa there are thousands of children that can’t go to school or get access to the education they deserve. There are a number of reasons why, but often it’s because they have been orphaned, or are living with disabilities, or they live in war zones, or just because they happen to be girls. This year, Comic Relief has set schools a special mission – to raise enough money to help get 300,000 children across Africa into education and learning.
- #7 And the best bit is, because the UK government has learned how good schools are at fundraising, they’re going to double the money you raise. Are you ready to be Comic Relief’s official double agents?
- #8 There are different money buys on the slide at the end of this presentation. The UK government is doubling the money raised up to £10 million so let’s aim for nine million, nine hundred and ninety-nine thousand, nine hundred and ninety-nine pounds and ninety-nine pence!
