School Essay Format
Crafting an essay on the topic of "School Essay Format" can be both a straightforward and
intricate task. On the surface, it might seem like a simple exploration of the structure and
guidelines for composing essays within an academic setting. However, delving deeper, one
realizes the complexity lies in striking a balance between adhering to established formats and
injecting personal creativity and critical thinking.
To begin with, there's the challenge of comprehensively understanding and interpreting the
specific requirements outlined by academic institutions. Different schools or courses may have
distinct expectations regarding essay structure, citation styles, and overall presentation.
Navigating through these nuances demands a keen eye for detail and the ability to adapt to
varying guidelines.
Furthermore, the task involves not only grasping the technical aspects of formatting but also
mastering the art of effective communication. A successful essay not only follows a prescribed
structure but also engages the reader, communicates ideas clearly, and presents a well-supported
argument. This requires honing one's writing skills, including vocabulary, sentence structure, and
the art of transitions between paragraphs.
Another layer of complexity lies in the need for critical thinking. While adhering to a format, the
essay writer must demonstrate the ability to analyze, synthesize information, and present original
insights. This necessitates research skills, the capability to evaluate sources, and the creativity to
present information in a unique and compelling manner.
Time management is yet another hurdle. Balancing the demands of various subjects,
extracurricular activities, and personal commitments can make the task of essay writing
challenging. The pressure to meet deadlines while maintaining the quality of the content adds an
additional dimension to the difficulty level.
In conclusion, crafting an essay on the topic of "School Essay Format" demands a multifaceted
approach. It involves mastering the technicalities of formatting, honing writing and critical
thinking skills, managing time effectively, and adapting to diverse academic requirements. Yet,

Juvenile Delinquency Is Committing Criminal Acts Or...
Juvenile delinquency is committing criminal acts or offenses by a young person,
generally involving people under the age of eighteen. John Singletons, Boyz n the
Hood follows the lives of Tre Styles and Doughboy, two are African American
teenagers growing up in Los Angeles where these children are constantly exposed to
violence. At the beginning of the film, Tre is seen with a group of his friends talking
about the shooting that occurred in the neighborhood that previous night and they
even went as far as crossing the police like to get closer to the crimescreen. For their
age at the time, they were very educated about violence. When they go to school,
Tre is seen talking to his teacher by using inappropriate language that is very
disrespectful to her. While in class, Tre makes a statement about Africa and one
students disagrees with him so Tre begins to get violent both physically and verbally
attacking the student. At this point Tre is living with his mother, but due to the
flight in the classroom, and breaking a contract that he had with his mother to
behave, Tre is off to live with his father. Tre s father is Furious Styles, also referred
to as Laurence Fishburne, whose job is to teach Tre values and responsibility.
This film tells a story of three friends Tre, Ricky and Doughboy. Ricky and
Doughboy live with their mother in the same neighborhood with the absence of their
father, which is visible throughout the movie. Doughboy is a delinquent child and

Jimi Hendrix Biography Essay
Most people are either born predominately right handed or left handed. There are
some people who are ambidextrous. But, can you imagine being able to play the
guitar either right or left handed? This biography essay is about a guitarist who is
an icon in the world of music by the name of Johnny Allen Hendrix or Jimi Hendrix.
According to the Rolling Stones, Hendrix had plenty of talent to take a right handed
Fender Stratocaster and play it upside down with his left hand. Hendrix was
extremely creative in his ability to not only use his guitaras an instrument but had the
capacity to exude a new source of electronic sound. In doing so, Hendrix turned
electric guitarplaying into a new technique of modifying sound. Rolling Stones stated

In 1966, Hendrix then moved to London where he met other artists such as Eric

Hendrix become more proficient and honed in on his own skill and style of using the
wah wah pedal, he formed another band called The Hendrix Experience. While in
London, he became a new phenomenal success. After returning to America in 1967,
Hendrix went on stage at the Monterey Pop Festival in which he gave unforgettable
performance. According to Biography.com, Hendrix won over American music fans
with his stunning performance at the Monterey Pop Festival, which ended with
Hendrix lighting his guitar on fire. Information gleamed from the article Rock Music
as an Art Form from Reason to Rock Jimi Hendrix was the single most inventive
electric guitarist in rock. He did more to extend the reach of the instrument than
anyone else of his generation. According the Reason to Rock, Hendrix single
handedly demolished traditional definitions of music by playing and recording
sounds made with his guitar that defied transposition or even explanation. In 1969,
Hendrix demonstrated this ability in his hair raising and thrilling performance at
Woodstock in which he played The Star Spangled Banner. Hendrix took the original
composition back to its core elements and rebuilt it on a new platform through which
his talent and skill as a phenomenal guitarist was both illustrated and illuminated with
sounds of sonic explosions in the
The Purpose Of Heroism
A hero is no braver than an ordinary man, but he is brave five minutes longer Ralph
Waldo Emerson. Heroes are the people who don t give up. They walk into the
unknown out of love or compassion. Heroes are humble and kind. Heroism is a
sacrifice, not giving up, it is not arrogance.
First, the function of heroism is sacrificing for others. Heroes are everyday people
making good decisions, The kid who stands alone instead of joining a gang (Stone
5). This kid is sacrificing for his family and society. His family probably needs
more income and being in a gang won t help them with that because he will be
either in jail, dead, or causing trouble. Society and his community do not need these
gangs to cause trouble. Robert Downey Jr. made a good point by saying I think that
we all do heroic things, but hero is not a noun, it is a verb. Actions speak louder than
words in the eyes of heroism, and what RDJ is saying here is that one has to do
heroic actions in order to get the title of hero. Hero as a noun is just someone that
people feel has sacrificed something, but the verb hero means that the person is
currently out doing actions that everyone would consider heroic. Heroes also need
to function with a love for mankind as stated by Doris Lessing, What is a hero
without love for mankind. Without a love for mankind, there would be no such thing
as heroes. Mankind will always need saving and with no love, there would be no
heroes, heroic actions will come when
Synoptic Gospels Purpose
The purpose of this gospel, as stated by John himself, is to show that Jesus of
Nazareth was Christ, the Son of God, and that believers in him might have eternal
life. This purpose was one that John had in common with the men who wrote the
Synoptic Gospels, but his method for achieving it distinguishes his gospelfrom the
earlier ones. The central theme in the Synoptic Gospels is the coming of the
kingdom of God, and it was in relation to this event that the accounts were given of
the life and teachings of Jesus. The messianic character of Jesus mission was
described in terms of the miracles that he performed, his kindly attitude toward the
poor and the oppressed, his power to cast out demons and to heal the sick, and his
instructions concerning... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Lazarus was dead for four days, and at the call of Jesus he came back to life. For
John, an event of this kind is a most appropriate symbol of what happens to
spiritually dead people when they are receptive to the power of God made
manifest in the person of Jesus. That this story is found only in the Gospel of John
raises some questions concerning the historicity of the event, for it does not seem
at all probable that the authors of the Synoptic Gospels would have failed to relate
an event as important as this one if they had known about it. Whether John was
recording a popular tradition or writing a sequel to the story of the rich man and
Lazarus, recorded in the Gospel of Luke, we do not know. At any rate, the story in
Luke closes with the statement that those who do not believe Moses and the
prophets will not be convinced, even if a person raised from the dead should speak
to them. In John s story, someone does come from the dead, and even then the
Jews are not persuaded by what he says and does. As John interprets the story, its
deeper meaning is disclosed in a statement that Jesus makes: I am the resurrection
and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever
lives and believes in me will never die. Lazarus is typical of all human beings.
Without the indwelling presence of the Spirit of God, all human life is meaningless.
When the Spirit of God enters into our lives, we are no longer dead in a spiritual
sense but are partakers of the life that is

The Effect of pH and Temperature on the Efficiency of Catalase
Abstract: In order to determine how pH and temperature affect the liver enzyme
catalase, an experiment was conducted. Catalase breaks apart hydrogen peroxide
producing water and oxygen. Using an O2 sensor to measure how much additional
oxygen is added into a sealed Nalgene bottle, we could determine the enzymes
effectiveness. Three variations of temperature were tested: cold, hot and room
temperature. This was done by taking test tubes with the three different samples and
placing them in a Nalgene Bottle. It was determined that the enzyme is most effective
when at room temperature although still functions when it is chilled. The heated
sample was drastically less effective. The pH was tested by adding acid (HCl), base
() and neutral (water) to the enzyme. When the enzyme samples were tested using the
hydrogen peroxide and O2 sensor test it was determined that any ... Show more

Its function is the speed up the decomposition of Hydrogen peroxide within cells.
This is an important function within living animals because it becomes a poisonous
substance. Catalase breaks apart hydrogen peroxide into water and oxygen through
enzyme substrate complexes. (Tully) The shape of catalase is complex with various
alpha helices and beta sheets. (Corsini) This shape is very important to its function
and variation in temperature and pH can denature the enzyme.
Hypothesis:
Part I: Testing the Effect of Heat If the enzyme temperature is decreased then it will
not decompose hydrogen peroxide because it normally functions at a higher body
temperature.
Part II: Testing the Effect of pH If the enzyme pH is increased than it will not
decompose because it will be much more acidic than the more neutral environment it
functions in.

Essay On Ophelia And Gertrude
Women are the real architects of society
Some believe that men are rulers or in control of everything. It may even be thought
that men are the cause of most disasters in the world today. There is also an outlook
on women, that they are innocent and only take responsibility for emotions instead of
actions. Hamlet by William Shakespeare depicts how Hamlet falls victim to an
adverse outlook on women in the play. The women in this play, Ophelia and Gertrude,
take the role of what today s society thinks a man should act as or have an impact on.
Firstly, the daughter of a Polonius in Hamlet, Ophelia, effects the play in many
ways as well as, Gertrude, the mother of Hamlet. They give many examples of how
a woman can bring inconvenience or distress to one s family. This sort of distress
eventually leads to the death of several characters in the Shakespeare s play: King
Hamlet, Polonius, Ophelia, Gertrude, Laertes, Prince Hamlet, and King Claudius.
According to Intimate Friendship with God by Joy Dawson , Women can be a
stepping stone, which makes a pathway easier, or a stumbling block, which makes
it difficult in relation to holiness. In this case, Ophelia and Gertrude would be
looked on as stumbling blocks to their families. Frailty thy name is woman,
Hamlet(Act 1.Scene 2. Page 15. ) meaning these two women can also be portrayed as
weak or fragile based off of the play. Ophelia would be a main example of how
weakness can be labeled onto a woman. In addition, Hamlet is the main

Essay On Elbow Dislocation
After the diagnosis from the orthopedic doctor of a posterior elbow dislocation, the
athlete was instructed to wear a mobilization brace locked out at thirty degrees until
his next follow up appointment. During this time, gentle range of motion activities
began involving the wrist and the elbow in both flexionand extension. The athlete also
worked on grip strength with putty, increasing the time and intensity as needed. In
addition to these activities, isometric elbow contractions added to the intensity of the
rehabilitation. After the rehabilitation sessions finished, the athlete iced the injured
area.
The athlete began to heat the injured area before beginning his exercise to help
promote increasing range of motion. Both active and passive stretching of the elbow
and wrist assists the athlete in increasing range of motion as well. The athletic

ground for protection in case he fell. The use of the upper body ergometer was added
to help increase range of motion and strength of the arm. The team physician cleared
the athlete to begin closed chain activities. Wall pushups were then added to the
athlete s rehabilitation program.
Next, the athletic training staff added elbow curls and extension to the athlete s
rehabilitation program. Also, the athlete began upper body proprioceptive
neuromuscular facilitation exercises in both the D1 and D2 patterns to work on
entire arm strength in flexion and extension.
Once the athlete mastered the wall pushups, the intensity increased to table pushups

activities of daily living and did not feel as if he would drop something if he held

Giuseppe Domenico Scarlatti Research Paper
Giuseppe Domenico Scarlatti was an Italian composer who was born in Naples. In
1733, he moved to Madrid, where he spent the remaining time of his life there and
served Queen Maria Barbara. He composed his 555 well known keyboard sonatas
for the queen during this period of time. These pieces were mostly written to be
played on the harpsichord or the early pianofortes. Although most of the sonatas
were composed in pairs, the D major sonatas, often performed together, formed a
rare triptych of three sonatas. Sonata in D Major, K.491 is the second piece of the
triptych, which was composed in 1756 1757. Similar to most of his other sonatas,
Sonata in D major is in the binary form (AB AB). The structure in dance movements

Technology On Children And Technology
Children nowadays are always on there phones, tablets, and other electronics. Parents
nowadays get their children s all sorts electronics, but did you ever thought of the
effects that these electronics have on children s and pre teens? The results may vary
on the different children and types of technology, some children might have far more
screen timethan a certain other, they might have a brighter screen or it may vary on
the children themselves they might have a condition that may worsen with the use of
technology. One of the effects on children and young teens is they don t get much
exercise as they used to do without electronics, according to an article How
technology impacts children s development by (Dhruvin Patel, MCOptom posted on

encourages them to be sedentary when they get home from school, as opposed to
going outside and playing with other kids. this means that children and young teen
with parents that get them electronics spend more time on them than on important
excuses or in general going outside and going for a walk, not necessarily having to
run or play a specific sport. On an article named Excessive daily TV watching may

Researchers found that compared to participants who watched TV less than 2.5 hours
each day, deaths from a pulmonary embolism increased by:

Incidents of suspected or actual Abuse
The main concern that may arise when dealing with abuse is communication. This

express it correctly. In my poster I minimised this barrier by suggesting suitable

Assumptions are sometimes be made about disabled children e.g. their mood, injury
or behaviour. This can result in indicators of possible abuse being mistakenly
attributed to the child s impairment. However; their behaviour may be the only way
for them to express how they actually feel. In my poster I minimized this by
highlighting types of abuse and indicators that staff an look out for if they suspect
abuse. For example an indicator for physical abuse is unbelievable excuses i.e. I
walked into a lamp post. However, not all the signs mentioned mean that the student
is being abused, but it s about using your sense to know if it feels right or not.
Intruders in the college
The main concern that may arise when dealing with intruders in the college is
getting hold of personal information. This is a major concern for any school or
college and is important that they are stopped. If intruders do enter the premises
they could get hold of personal information about students and staff. In my poster I
have highlighted this and given advice on how to stop this from occurring if
someone unauthorized enters the building. Computes should be password locked
when they are not being used and any confidential paper work should be put into
cabinets which are locked. Staff should ensure that all members staff are aware of
this rule and if any computers are not locked to do so. By having this

Total Quality Management
Introduction
The last decade of the twentieth century brought great development to the world and
especially it has introduced new techniques and ideas to improve the business world.
Subsequently, in the decade of 1990s the business world was revolutionized with the
quality management technique in business. It was the time when the businesses
started to embrace the concept of quality and so they started to use it as a competitive
advantage (Abusa, 2013).
In the past business practices as most of the business was working on the base of
supply and demand and consumer behavior were also making their decision on the
base of the availability of the product. However with the development the consumer
behavior also changed as the technological development changed the rules and
patterns of business
Why Do Australia Celebrate Easter Sun Day
Easter celebrates the promise of life in the face of death. It is a time to reflect on
suffering, injustice, hardship, peace and forgiveness . Christians in Australia
celebrate Easter as the time where Jesus was crucified and then resurrected 2 days
after, however non Christians celebrate Easter with family and friends in many
different secular ways. The two main days for all Australians are Good friday and
Easter sunday. When Jesusdied on the cross, his body was put in a tomb sealed by a
large stone. The Gospel says that on Easter sunday Jesus friend Mary went to the
tomb and discovered the stone had been moved and Jesus body was gone. Christians
believe Jesus Resurrection means that they too, can receive new life after death.

The first part of Easter is Lent, a period of about 40 days before Easter Sunday that
begins on Ash wednesday. During Lent, Christians prepare for Easter. They
consider it as a time for penance, a time to show sorrow for sins and to seek
forgiveness. 2 One common form of penance is fasting, which limits the kinds or
amounts of foods eaten. Holy Week is the final week of Lent which recalls the
events before Jesus s death and resurrection. Palm Sunday is the first day of Holy
Week that celebrates the story of Jesus triumphant entry into Jerusalem .2 Maundy
Thursday, the day before Good Friday, remembers Jesus s last meal and his
imprisonment. On this day Jesus went to pray in the garden of Gethsemane, when
his friend Judas betrayed him and arrived with a group of men with swords who
had been sent by the priests to arrest Jesus. Jesus was then questioned by the
council and it was decided he would be crucified. Holy Saturday is essentially a
day of solemn vigil .1 The primary activity of the day comes at nightfall as the
observance of Jesus Resurrection approaches. Easter Sunday is followed by a 50
day period ending on Pentecost, a Jewish festival for Christians to commemorate the
descent of the Holy Spirit on Jesus Christ s disciples on the seventh Sunday after
Compare Three Phase And Six Phase Induction Motor
Abstract: The area of the multiphase motor has experienced a significant growth in
last decade numerous interesting development have been reported in the literature in
this chain this paper is an attempt to mathematically model both three phase and six
phase induction motor for comparison of their characteristics. Using this
mathematical modeling a Simulink model is created whose results shows that the six
phase induction motor can sustain more than four times the torque that can be
sustained by three phase induction motor of same design parameters. The six phase
motor is better not just in torque handling capacity but it also has inherent advantages

The Power Of The Populist Party
The Populist Party formed when the Kansas Farmers Alliance joined with Knights
of Labor to form a People s Party. Populists wanted the people to have more power
to end poverty and injustices. In 1892, the Populist Program was initiated where
populists desired public ownership of the railroad and telegraph systems, protection
of land and natural resources, federal income tax on highest incomes, and a looser
monetary policy to favor borrowers. Populists also wanted to stop the governments
laissez faire attitude. In addition, they aimed for a secret ballot and direct election.
Supporters of the Populist Party were made up of farmers, labor groups,
prohibitionist and women s suffrage advocates.
Progressivism came after the Populist movement.

we know today, until the age of 13. Seeing that, I know myself and I know if that

just, and more compassionate society, but not in a world with no future, where all
to soon the very words justice , compassion , society , struggle , evil would be
unheard echoes on an empty air. It is evident from this that hope depends on the
survival of future generations. Without hope, lives are disregarded, and bodies
disposed of by any means possible.
There is war, but in this war there are no winners. The reliability of even the
existence of the Human Project is unknown to viewers; talk of it is all
circumstantial, as we are never offered evidence of its existence. The Human
Project is supposedly a group organised to experiment ways to cure infertility and
make an end to this shattered society, but what is does for Kee and her baby is

College Has Changed Me At The University Of Arizona
Before attending the University of Arizona, I felt a need to set a specific goal to
achieve in ten years later. The collegiate journey was more different than I aspect.
With far more about many options in careers, I had realized that broader goals could
help me explore what actually interest me the most. Before I started college, I had
chosen pre physiology. However, I am majoring in biomedical engineering now and
really enjoy taking engineering courses. Currently, I have broadened my horizons to
consider both graduate and medical schools unlike before. Before, I never believed
that one can change goals so rapidly. Now, college has changed me.
With the help of scholarships like AAFASAA, I have the chance to get more
involved with the community. Thus I am re applying for this scholarship because it
had created many impacts upon my new life as a college student. By participating in
the AAFASAA events last summer, I formed mentoring relationship with many
upperclassmen and faculty, who then later introduce me to be a part of the Asian
community. Also, I feel the eagerness to learn more about the Asian clubs in the UA
to build up my Asian identity. Currently, I am an active member is the Society of
Asian Scientists and Engineers (SASE), APAMSA, and Vietnamese Students
Association club. I also joined the EDGE program to receive some help in the
transition to college. These clubs have many different events such as career building,
teaming, or getting help with research. The clubs
The Fall Of The Soviet Union
The fall of the Soviet Union gave childless American couples the opportunity to
adopt needy, white children. Thousands upon thousands of children from Russia
and Eastern Europe were adopted in New York during the 1990 s and 2000 s, and
the vast majority of these adoptions produced genuinely happy families. The
children were excited to have loving families and the adoptive parents were excited
to have a child to love. However, some children had difficulty transitioning to life in
the United States while others were victims of abuse. Almost every adoptive case I
worked with had a happy ending. Every adoptive case except for one. I hesitate to
say that the child in question was actually a child. Sometimes I think that I
legitimately was dealing with pure evil in human form.
The Ivanov s were a young, successful couple living in Brooklyn, and commuting to
their jobs in Manhattan. They had it all, wealth, good looks, charm, and generosity.
The husband, Stefan, worked on Wall Street while the wife, Alexandra, worked at a
marketing firm a couple blocks away. They had everything but a child, as they had
been unable to conceive despite trying for 6 years. Stefan s great grandfather
emigrated from Russia in the early 20th century, so Stefan and Alexandra decided to
look to Russia for a child to adopt. They worked through a local Russian Orthodox
Church to facilitate the adoption, which told them that they had the perfect child in
mind. An eight year old boy named Nikolai, with
Influence of the Superpowers in the Middle East Conflict...
To what extent was the Middle East conflict between 1948 and 1978 fuelled by the
interests and concerns of the superpowers in the region?
During 1948 and 1978 there was massive conflict in the Middle East between Arab
Muslim countries and Jewish Israel. The conflict itself was fuelled by nationalism
and religious differences and other disputes such as the Palestinians refugee problem.
During this time the superpowers got involved in the Middle East because of the cold
war. However, the superpowers involvement was noticeable by their attempts to
implement their respected influences in the Middle East to gain power with respect
to their political and economical policies of the world and become the ultimate
superpower . Thus the superpowers were involved and contributed to the conflict but
in a very small way compared to nationalism and religious differences in the Middle
East.
During 1948 and 1978 there was massive conflict in the Middle East between Arab
Muslim countries and Jewish Israel. This conflict was caused by nationalism and
religious differences. Israel was declared a state on the 14 May 1948 this led to
the Arab states attacking Israel in attempt to destroy Israel completely so that it
would seize to exist as a state. The attack of the Arab states on Israel led to the war
of 1948, which ended in 1949 with Israel being victorious. This war added even
more fuel to the Middle East conflict as over a million Palestinians became refugees
and were scattered over the

Since the moment man became self aware, he looked up in the night sky and basked
in the splendor of the stars and felt, what could only be described as, pure fear and
loneliness. It is natural for man to fear what he does not understand, but what of
loneliness? Under the twinkling of the stars, man has
Examples Of Antiheros
Antiheroes: neither villains nor supermen but the tragic heroes of daily life.
Discussing the depiction of the male American antihero within the framework of this
thesis in the cases of Lester Burnham, Frank Wheeler, and Brandon Sullivan refers
to white men from (upper) middle class leading a drab, emotionally unfulfilling life
in the US in New York City and suburbs in Connecticut, to be exact. First of all, one
needs to clarify what exactly makes and antiheroand what distinguishes him from
other (stock) characters. To begin with, the Compact Oxford English Dictionaryfor
Students defines antihero as a central character in a story, film, or play who lacks
typical heroic qualities (Soanes 36). Therefore, it becomes relevant also to list the
dictionary definition of the words hero and heroic :
hero:
1. a person who is admired for their courage or outstanding achievements.
2. the chief ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The tragic hero of daily life can be found in the ancient Greek comedy, in
Shakespeare s Hamlet in Hamlet (1603), in Cervantes Don Quijote in El ingenioso
hidalgo Don Quijote de la Mancha (1605) criticising the traditional hero in epics
and romances of chivalry, as well as in today s films about social criticism of
Western consumer culture such as Fight Club (1999), or modern TV series such as
Breaking Bad. The Concise Oxford Dictionary of Literary Terms further lists
Flaubert s Emma Bovary in Madame Bovary (1857), Joyce s Leopold Bloom in
Ulysses (1922), and Arthur Miller s Willy Loman in Death of a Salesman as
outstanding examples of this antiheroic ordinariness and inadequacy and describes
the antihero as ineffectual failure who succumbs to the pressure of circumstances
(Baldick, 13). Frank Eugene Beaver goes a step further, adding characteristics that are
particularly interesting for this thesis. His antihero notion of antihero refers to as
Morals In Toy Story 2
I remember growing up, watching Pixar movies with my family. Their bright
colors and playful characters were perfect for entertaining us children and even the
adults. I always wanted to watch Toy Story 2 directed by John Lasseter because I was
afraid of the first film. What really got me was the scene where they met all of Sid
s creepy creations, especially the baby head. Though when I was older and no longer
afraid, I realized how much meaning there really was in Toy Story. It even holds great
morals that can reflect on some of the rules from Choosing Civility written by P.
M. Forni. Woody at first was very unsure of Buzz and did not like him because he
was now the cool one and Buzz had a few of his own problems that Woody tried to
help him with including thinking he was real and not a toy but through their
adventures they learned that they needed to work together to get back to their
favorite kid, Andy.
To start with, Pixar has an amazing way of hiding morals in its movies, the
spectacular thing about that is that kids will be learning without even realizing it.
Toy Story has a main Character named Woody and his role is to take care of the
rest of the toys in the room, kind of as the mayor. This seemed to work well but
when a new toy comes to town he feels like his dominance is threatened and
basically goes primal trying to get rid of him by running him over with the RC car.
This shows how unhealthy jealousy really is when everyone else didn t care that he

Cyclone Debbie Ethical Issues
When covering natural disasters, journalists are faced with many legal and ethical
challenges. This makes it difficult to report on certain aspects of the event, though it
remains in the public s interest to be informed. These ethical dilemmas are complex
and reflect highly on the publisher s moral compass. With the recent tragedy of
Cyclone Debbie, it is evident where the key laws and ethical frameworks were
adopted when writing tasteful and informative news regardless of surrounding
pressure.
A key barrier journalists face when covering natural disasters is the inability to access
the site. Muller (2010) highlights the ethical and legal boundaries that journalists are
challenged with as they are faced with the decision to either follow authorities orders,

It is difficult for journalists to sift through an overload of information and ensure
what they publish is not too distressing for the public. Decent and tasteful reporting is
critical, especially when concerning the death of civilians. A lot of sensitivity
surrounds the matter and journalists need to ensure they do not disclose any
information the police have not already released to the public or families involved. To
ensure this, victim s names must be disclosed until the families have been notified
and give permission. This would have been difficult when covering Cyclone Debbie,
as journalists must communicate with authorities to know what information has been
released to avoid an unethical report.
Natural disasters pose many complex ethical and legal challenges for journalists. It is
critical to adopt an ethical framework to ensure the content published is tasteful and
in the best interest of the public. By applying key laws and ethical thinking, the
journalist can safely cover an event with authentic and informative reporting that does
not breach the law or well being of
The Five Characteristics Of The Five Factor Model...
The five factor model personality theory states that an individual s personality
consists of five general traits. These traits are extraversion, agreeableness,
conscientiousness, neuroticism and openness (King, 2016, pg. 475). Each of the
traits are put in a certain order according to how they appear from the factor
analysis (King, 2016, pg. 475). Factor analysis is a method that researchers used to
group together similar traits which are used to describe personality (King, 2016,
pg. 475). In the trait sequence, neuroticism is the first trait and it is the trait that
describes a pessimistic personality or someone who lacks confidence and a positive
mindset (King, 2016, pg. 476). Extraversion is the opposite trait of neuroticism
and is the trait that individuals who are social and able to interact well with others
portray (King, 2016, pg. 476). Openness is being receptive to various creative
views and the ability to express oneself in a unique, individualistic manner (King,
2016, pg. 476). The agreeableness trait describes a personality aspect where the
individual is dedicated to good deeds and believes in the potential that people have
to be good (King, 2016, pg. 476). The last trait of the five factor model theory is
conscientiousness which is the trait is used to describe an individual who is
dependable and attentive to their actions (King, 2016, pg. 477). These five traits are
referred to as the big five because they are general categories in which other similar

Data Structure Of Using Hash Table
Overview:
Hashing in terms of encryption is the conversion of a word into a usually fixed
length value or key that represents the original word. Hashing is used to index and
retrieve items in a database because it is faster to find the item using the shorter
hashed key than to find it using the original value. It basically uses a hash function to
convert the word into the key. Hash function is one that is used to map data of
random size to data of fixed size. Values that are returned from a hash function are
called as hash values, hash codes, or hash sums. It mainly uses hash table as a data
structure to look up data rapidly. There will be no two words with same hash value,
otherwise collision occurs between the two words.
In software programming, a hash table or hash map is a data structure that is used
to execute an array i.e. it is a structure that can map keys to values. A hash function
is used to determine an index value for an array of buckets or slots, with which we
can find the correct value. A good hash function with an algorithm are essential for
good performance of the hash table though it can be difficult to achieve. A basic
requirement of a hash function is that it should provide distribution of hash values
uniformly. If the distribution is non uniform, it increases the number of collisions and
the cost of resolving them. Uniformity can be evaluated by observing statistical tests.
If for example there exists uniform distribution only for table sizes that are

The buyer power is medium, when Shelby increased prices by 20% after no increase
in 6 years, league participation dropped by 10%, food and beverages by 19% and

losses would be recovered. There are also many other inexpensive food and
beverage businesses within walking distance of Westlake, and that had an effect on
food and beverage sales at the bowling alley.
Supplier Power:
Pizza is purchased from a food supplier and drives up gross profit margin by 65%,
beer is driven up by 77% and soda by 86%. Shelby eventually considered rates from
other suppliers and was able to re negotiate some contracts and cut others that were
unnecessary. She also found a new health insurance provider after finding out that
their current supplier was increasing rates by 8% every year. She also cut off some
existing service providers and used a new cleaning service, instead of a corporate
service, which helped in saving costs. Supplier power is fairly low, since there are
many other options out there if one supplier isn t working out.
Degree of Rivalry:
The degree of rivalry is medium. As mentioned before, they do not have much
competition from other bowling alleys since they are located in the best area to

The Ideal American Family Analysis
As stated in an article by Kimi Kennedy entitled Television: The Ideal American
Family, most American families portrayed on television in the late 40s and early
50s consisted of a husband, wife and 2.5 kids (Kennedy). In Arthur Miller s Death of
a Salesman, the Loman family seems to perfectly fit the mold of a familyliving the
American dream; however, the actions of the family show that everything is not what
it seems. Although the Lomans appear to be the ideal family of the time, the way in
which the family treats each other directly contrast with other fictional families of the
time. The family s treatment of Happy exemplifies the lack of attention given to
some children within American families. Throughout the play, Happy often takes a
back seat to Biff when it comes to getting his parents attention. In Act I on pages

Willy is conflicted about his feelings toward Biff. On page 1844, while talking to
Linda, Willy goes from saying, The trouble is he s lazy... to saying That s one
thing about Biff he s not lazy in a matter of seconds (Miller). Biff also feels
conflicted about his father. Biff cannot seem to decide if he really loves his father or
not. On page 1864, Biff is confident in his love toward his mother yet, the love he
feels for his father seems to be an afterthought (Miller).
The Loman family seems like the ideal American family based on television in the
1940s and 50s. Willy, Linda, Biff, and Happy, however, do not get along very well
and most they all have secrets that they keep from each other. The Lomans first
appear to be a typical fictional family of the time consisting of a mother, father, and
two children, but soon show their flaws. Arthur Miller breaks the mold for the
fictional families of the time in his play Death of a Salesman by highlighting the
flaws and downfalls of each member of the
Outsider Outsiders
I am happy to join with you today in what will go down in history as the greatest
demonstration for freedom in the history of our nation (Martin Luther King).
GETTYSBURG ADDRESS (19 NOVEMBER 1863) [1] Fourscore and seven
years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in
Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal ( Abraham
Lincoln). We meet at a time of tension between the United States and Muslims
around the world tension rooted in historical forces that go beyond any current
policy debate (Barack Obama). All of these are the starting point of great changes.
These famous historical figures are considered Outsiders The Term Outsider
Literally means One who does not belong to a particular group. Perception is the
main key in deciding if someone belongs when they are an outsider. If you look at
it from one group they don t belong and from another they do. One of the most
famous outsiders in history is Martin Luther King. He was considered this because
he decided to take a stance against what s normal and average. He wanted to have
equal rights for both African Americans and Caucasians. By doing this he was
considered an outsider by all people. They either stood with him or against him
during his outside revolution. Although he did not like to be considered an
outsider as shown by this quote Injustice anywhere is injustice everywhere.
Anyone who lives in the US can never be considered an outsider anywhere in the
country He was an outsider by trying to make no one feel like an outsider
themselves. So throughput this he didn t belong to the groups trying not to allow
equal rights. But to the people, he stood up with he was a leader and belonged to
their group, therefore even if you don t feel like you belong with the group you re
in, you have a network. The next outsider is Our famous 16th president Abraham
Lincoln. Lincoln was considered the rail splitting candidates throughout his
campaign and presidency. He was born and raised from working class roots. This set
him apart from his opposing candidate William H. Seward (who was the former
governor of New York and a sitting Senator. Seward came from a high class family,

Naturalism Research Paper
According to (Naturalism.Org, 2017), the definition of naturalism in terms of art

accurate depiction of detail. However, whereas, in a philosophical viewpoint, it is

supernatural or spiritual explanations that are excluded or discounted. Furthermore in
moral philosophy, it is the theory that ethical statements can be derived from non

In terms of philosophical naturalism, the belief is that there are not any supernatural

opinion that naturalism and contemporary evolutionary theories are different ideas,
and despite the fact that the latter is normally thought to be one of the main pillars
supporting the group of the former as each progressed. I see no similar problems with
the conjunction of theism and the idea that human beings have evolved in the way
contemporary evolutionary science suggests of a course of time. More particularly, I
argued that the conjunction of naturalism with the belief that we human beings have
evolved in conformity with current evolutionary doctrine. Meaning god caused
evolution to take place. Personally I have a hard time agreeing with this idea

The Pardoner s Cap Analysis
The Pardoner s Cap
The most intriguing artifact in the Canterbury Tales is the Pardoner s cap;
specifically, the replica of the Veil of Veronica sown in the cap. Two major reasons
the cap is so intriguing are: the significance of Christianity during this time, and the
irony and hypocrisy of the Pardoner. The Veil of Veronica was a piece of cloth said
to hold the true image of Christ. During the crucifixion it was said the St Veronica
wiped Jesus face with a cloth and an image of his likeness was forever imprinted on
it. The impact Christianity and the church had during the 14th century cannot be
overstated. Priests were supposed to preach the word of God and be the perfect
examples of what it meant to be a good Christian. Which is why it is so ironic that
there isn t a character in the Canterbury Talesmore despicable than the Pardoner.

faith. This article was edited and by the head of the website Kevin Knight. I did a

accurate. This explains who priests like the Pardoner would have replicas of the Veil

Dependable Tray Truck Research Paper
Growing up in a family that runs a construction supplies store, I completely

Verizon Argument Analysis
Verizon has a new commercial where the whole ad is based on the slogan half fast
internet. Go ahead, say it out loud. The entire commercial s dialogue has various
people, mostly families, including a mother in front of her child, saying half fast
instead of half a$$ed. Clearly, Verizon hopes that a funny play on word expression,
not normally allowed in commercials, will drive sales. The idea of the commercial
series is that most broadband providers have slow upload speeds, making them only
half fast. So, the actors in the commercial complain of the half fast job their Internet
is doing when they are posting pictures or music to the Web. The commercials are
highly amusing and certainly stick with the consumer whether they like or dislike the
content. Many blogs and posts on the internet express that Verizon should be more...

At the end of the day, the purpose of advertising is to sell. Marketers who ignore this
fundamental usually get into trouble. (Chimoff, 2014) Verizon has been a strong
competitor in the electronic communication arena for years. Verizon totes that
consumers are looking to get the latest devices, but these devices are only as good as
the network they are on. They boast to be the network with the most coverage
availability and fastest internet speeds. Fiber optic technology provides the most
efficient and reliable way to transmit data to your home. As the largest national
provider to offer 100% fiber optics straight to the home, Verizon s FiOS delivers a
faster entertainment and communication experience simply by transmitting data as
pulses of light through hair thin bundles of glass. While other cable companies
connect to homes using copper, FiOS stands alone using the latest technology that
can support future innovations in communication and
The Battle Of Lexington And Concord
By the rude bridge that arched the flood, their flag to April s breeze unfurled, here
once the embattled farmers stood, and fired the shot heard round the world... primary
source Ralph Waldo Emerson s poem Concord Hymn was written about the Battle of
Lexington and Concord. Although this poem is not a good answer on who shot first
during this battle, it does open the idea about the battle itself and makes you think
who shot first. I believe that the Americans shot first at this Battle.
What happened at the Battle of Lexington and Concord? Though it has been called a
battle, it was more of a skirmish. It happened on April 19th the year 1775 in
Middlesex Country, province of Massachusetts Bay during the American Revolution.
The British were marching to Concord because of the arms depot of the
Americans. The Americans were out numbered, out gunned, and not as well
trained at the British soldiers. On the side of the road there were 40 to 100
speculators of this event. When the British arrived one of the officers rode forward
waving his sword and called out to the militia to disperse and go home, as well as
telling them Lay down your arms, you damned rebels! But the Americans did not lay
down their arms so the British commander Major John Pitcairn told his men to hold
fire as did the Americans leader, Captain John Parker, who was a veteran from the
French and Indian War (1754 1763). But, a shot was fired from an unknown source.
By the end of the fight eight militia men lay
Essay On College Athletes Should Be Paid
If you were an avid sports player growing up; you have presumptuously dreamt about
becoming a professional athlete. Living in that big house, playing in front of
thousands and potentially millions, and earning that big salary not only for you, but
everyone who helped you along the journey. Stephen Curry, a point guard for the
Golden State Warriors has just attained a salary of $34,382,550. What the Golden
State Warriors are paying Steph Curry may seem like an insurmountable sum of
money, but what they pay him is returned in some form or another. Whether it be
through ticket sales to see him play, jersey purchases, or just straight up publicity,
Steph Curry earns that salary. According to bankrate.com, Curry s net worth is
$60,000,000, the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
That s only $19,719 less than the minimum salary in the NBA. To elaborate, if
someone was a full time student athlete, not only do they have student obligations
to their education, but they have obligations to their team as well. Somehow in
between two a day practices, weekly games, and being a student, do people
anticipate these athletes to work a job? Even the idea sounds funny, seeing Tim
Tebow in 2009, shortly after winning a National Championship, serving food at a
local Georgia restaurant. Most students fumble around with a job while being a full
time student, these student athletes are full time athletes and students, and not
seeing the money they earned on the field. According to John Brill a journalist for
the Shirley Povich Journalism Center, the three weeks of the NCAA Basketball
Tournament, known as March Madness, generate over $770 million in TV rights
deals alone. To even think that none of that money goes to the athletes is absurd. An
empire built of student athletes flaunting their hard worked talents. American
Televised Networks are cheating athletes. These networks are now multi million
dollar networks breaking new grounds and reaching peak attendances they are the
stepping stone for sports TV in America. Only, they are an empire built on other
people s success. Those players will never see a nickel for their work. That is unless
they go pro, which to reiterate is restricted by NCAA rules. Yet one more example of
these athletes

In self reflection, I realized that I felt compelled to fill in the gaps in between
shared statements. In part, this is likely due to the fact that I find silence to be
awkward and I fear that allowing for moments of silence may not be as productive
as more assertive conversation. However, upon further review of the recording, I am
more aware of becoming willing to consider moments of silence to allow to happen
organically. I see the possible value in these moments; especially if they happen when

Problems Within Education Today s Education Essay
Problems Within Education Today
For my extra credit assignment I would like to research, and write about the
problems in education today. According to chapter eight in the book, worldwide one
in five adults can not read or write, two thirds of them being women. The problems
we are facing in education can be linked to other social problems such as poverty or
unemployment, seeing that those who graduate college make up twenty percent of
the unemployment rate, compared to the forty percent of the unemployment rate in
people with less than a high school degree. Another issue facing education is the
inequality of schools and school districts. School districts with a lower
socioeconomic status must spend more money on things like maintaining the school.
Thus, leaving less money to spend on bettering the education of the children, which
in turn leads to higher rates of drop outs, and lower rates of college attendance.
Therefore, leaving them more likely to be unemployed or live in poverty. Finally,
another major problem facing the American education system is the lack of financial
support. One survey revealed that the most common thing to happen due to budget
cuts is to increase the class size, which has been directly correlated with poorer
academic achievement. The problems facing education are plentiful, most of which
are grounded in financial woes. These effects can be devastating to the lives of the
children it affects or society as a whole, due to the statistics correlating

1). Some of the reasons customer contact service employees are vital in a company
are * They are the service. * They are the organization in the customer s eyes. * They
are the brand. * They are marketers. (Ahmad, 2008, p. 1)
Customers
Customers also have an important role in the success of a business. A business cannot
be successful unless there are customers. Several work fields requires customer input
for service creation such as or haircuts, annual exam, and full service restaurant. The
clients input customize a standard service. The provision of the service requires the
customer purchase. Customer input (information material) is necessary for an
adequate outcome, but the service firm provides the service. Jobs where customer
presence is required during service delivery are airline travel, motel stay, and fast
food restaurant.
Customers play a variety of roles in the service experience. Some of those roles are
productive resource, contributor to quality, satisfaction and value; and as competitor
to the service organization.
Customer as a productive resource for example, in contributing information and effort
in the diagnoses of their ailments, patients of a healthcare organization are part of the

Genetic Engineering for Livestock Producers
In order to meet the needs of a growing population scientist and livestock producers
have been focused on increasing food production efficiency, whilst maintaining
animal health and welfare. Therefore advancements have been made in the form of
new reproductive and genetic technologies to ensure that the highest level of
productivity can be reached and maintained. These technologies offer breeders
new pathways to meet goals and objectives over both short and long term periods.
The possibilities available include genetic engineering, marker selection MOET
and cloning, however new technologies are being developed at a rapid rate.
Cloning of livestock was first successfully completed in 1996 when a female
domestic sheep was cloned from an adult somatic cell. Since then cloning has been
used within the livestock industry, to produce a genetically identical copies of
superior animals. Somatic cell nuclear transfer (SCNT) is currently being utilised
for cloning of adult farm animals. This process involves the reprogramming of a
somatic cell nucleus to preform in a set way for embryonic development to occur.
The first stage of SCNT involves the collection of a somatic cell using cumulus,
fibroblasts, ovarian/ granulosa, marry, muscle, oviduct or uterine cells (Davies et al,
2003). An oocytes arrested at metaphase II is used for the reprograming of the
somatic cell as it comprises the necessary components for starting and instructing
early embryonic development. After collection

but he and Mary would send letters to each other every week. It was hard for him
to be away from his family and Mary, but John learned that maybe his dreams were
not big enough. He started dreaming about more than just being a farmer and live
in his hometown for the rest of his life. After serving his country for a year, John
came back home, but his dreams were bigger than ever. Another two years went by
and John saved as much money as he could. When John was 22, he was planning to
move to Angola, a Portuguese colony at the time. Angola was a flourishing country
and it was a good place to start a new life. John said goodbye to his familyand Mary

Racial Inequality In A Confederacy Of Dunces By John...

The Hardships and The Racial Inequality of The World
John Kennedy Toole s play A Confederacy of Dunces illustrates some of the present
controversial problems of modern society using Southern Gothic elements as a tool
to criticize these issues. Amazingly, the play takes place in New Orleans and was
written in a time where many notable figures like Toole were able to illustrate or
advocate the hardships and inequalities during the Jim Crow era. Burma Jones is the
perfect paragon of a man who endures the injustices of modern slavery for being an
economically low class black citizen with no education in which elucidates the current
problems of abuse and inequality of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Toole is obviously attacking the evil people of society who are given great power
and responsibility and use this advantage for corruption and slavery.
Racial profiling discrimination is one big reason why modern slavery still exists
today. One example is the racial profiling that occurs in the Toole s play where the
police are accusing or assuming Burma Jones stole a bag of nuts since most
African Americans are unfairly untrusted and fall on the stereotypes that they
participate in criminal activity. A quote from John H. McWhorter of the City
Journal stresses that In some parts of the country, black men are so
overrepresented in criminal activities that police officers, white and black, would
be shirking their duty not to concentrate on them. (McWhorter). To avoid being
arrested from the law as a vagrant he is required to get a job, with no experience or
education in the workforce he eventually has to settle for a miserable position in a
bar sweeping for below minimum wage which delineates the image of being trapped
in modern slavery. Another statistic worth noting is from the NORC article from the
University of Chicago stating that half of black Americans report being treated
unfairly by police because of their race, and their views of law enforcement are
shaped by this experience. (NORC 1). Today, millions of Americans have different
opinions over how we think the police in our local communities treat racial and ethnic
minorities whether it s with
The Qin Shi Huangdi Qin Essay
Qin Shi Huangdi, the first Qin emperor, was a proactive and ambitious emperor who
implemented a central bureaucratic system that oversaw the evolution and unification
of China at the cost of public sentiment. The Qin Dynasty is considered among the
most influential dynasties as it laid the foundation for the massive cultural and
economic development of Chinathat took place during the Han Dynasty, but it also
failed to achieve many of its pro commoner ideological goals. In fact, socioeconomic
disparity was not alleviated and despite the notion of enriching the lives of the
common people, it was under Qin rule in which public resentment of the authoritarian
government peaked as there were countless peasant revolts against the iron handed
bureaucratic rule of China. Because a paranoid emperor alone wielded political clout
and influence, the tumultuous few years of Qin reign was rife with paranoia and
suspicion among the masses. Although the Qin Dynasty is seldom thought as
possessing the same glaring discrepancy between ideology and state that the
Communist regime in post World War II China had despite the similarities, the
failure of the flawless egalitarian state models in socioeconomic and political aspects
during the Qin Dynasty mirrored the developments in early Communist China.
Among the key aspects of the Qin unification was the act of completely clearing all
local aristocracies and uniting the peasant class into a single, mobilized workforce.
Ideally, the Qin

  • 3. Jimi Hendrix Biography Essay Most people are either born predominately right handed or left handed. There are some people who are ambidextrous. But, can you imagine being able to play the guitar either right or left handed? This biography essay is about a guitarist who is an icon in the world of music by the name of Johnny Allen Hendrix or Jimi Hendrix. According to the Rolling Stones, Hendrix had plenty of talent to take a right handed Fender Stratocaster and play it upside down with his left hand. Hendrix was extremely creative in his ability to not only use his guitaras an instrument but had the capacity to exude a new source of electronic sound. In doing so, Hendrix turned electric guitarplaying into a new technique of modifying sound. Rolling Stones stated ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In 1966, Hendrix then moved to London where he met other artists such as Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Peter Townshend, The Beatles, Brain Jones and Mick Jagger. As Hendrix become more proficient and honed in on his own skill and style of using the wah wah pedal, he formed another band called The Hendrix Experience. While in London, he became a new phenomenal success. After returning to America in 1967, Hendrix went on stage at the Monterey Pop Festival in which he gave unforgettable performance. According to Biography.com, Hendrix won over American music fans with his stunning performance at the Monterey Pop Festival, which ended with Hendrix lighting his guitar on fire. Information gleamed from the article Rock Music as an Art Form from Reason to Rock Jimi Hendrix was the single most inventive electric guitarist in rock. He did more to extend the reach of the instrument than anyone else of his generation. According the Reason to Rock, Hendrix single handedly demolished traditional definitions of music by playing and recording sounds made with his guitar that defied transposition or even explanation. In 1969, Hendrix demonstrated this ability in his hair raising and thrilling performance at Woodstock in which he played The Star Spangled Banner. Hendrix took the original composition back to its core elements and rebuilt it on a new platform through which his talent and skill as a phenomenal guitarist was both illustrated and illuminated with sounds of sonic explosions in the
  • 4. The Purpose Of Heroism A hero is no braver than an ordinary man, but he is brave five minutes longer Ralph Waldo Emerson. Heroes are the people who don t give up. They walk into the unknown out of love or compassion. Heroes are humble and kind. Heroism is a sacrifice, not giving up, it is not arrogance. First, the function of heroism is sacrificing for others. Heroes are everyday people making good decisions, The kid who stands alone instead of joining a gang (Stone 5). This kid is sacrificing for his family and society. His family probably needs more income and being in a gang won t help them with that because he will be either in jail, dead, or causing trouble. Society and his community do not need these gangs to cause trouble. Robert Downey Jr. made a good point by saying I think that we all do heroic things, but hero is not a noun, it is a verb. Actions speak louder than words in the eyes of heroism, and what RDJ is saying here is that one has to do heroic actions in order to get the title of hero. Hero as a noun is just someone that people feel has sacrificed something, but the verb hero means that the person is currently out doing actions that everyone would consider heroic. Heroes also need to function with a love for mankind as stated by Doris Lessing, What is a hero without love for mankind. Without a love for mankind, there would be no such thing as heroes. Mankind will always need saving and with no love, there would be no heroes, heroic actions will come when
  • 5. Synoptic Gospels Purpose The purpose of this gospel, as stated by John himself, is to show that Jesus of Nazareth was Christ, the Son of God, and that believers in him might have eternal life. This purpose was one that John had in common with the men who wrote the Synoptic Gospels, but his method for achieving it distinguishes his gospelfrom the earlier ones. The central theme in the Synoptic Gospels is the coming of the kingdom of God, and it was in relation to this event that the accounts were given of the life and teachings of Jesus. The messianic character of Jesus mission was described in terms of the miracles that he performed, his kindly attitude toward the poor and the oppressed, his power to cast out demons and to heal the sick, and his instructions concerning... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Lazarus was dead for four days, and at the call of Jesus he came back to life. For John, an event of this kind is a most appropriate symbol of what happens to spiritually dead people when they are receptive to the power of God made manifest in the person of Jesus. That this story is found only in the Gospel of John raises some questions concerning the historicity of the event, for it does not seem at all probable that the authors of the Synoptic Gospels would have failed to relate an event as important as this one if they had known about it. Whether John was recording a popular tradition or writing a sequel to the story of the rich man and Lazarus, recorded in the Gospel of Luke, we do not know. At any rate, the story in Luke closes with the statement that those who do not believe Moses and the prophets will not be convinced, even if a person raised from the dead should speak to them. In John s story, someone does come from the dead, and even then the Jews are not persuaded by what he says and does. As John interprets the story, its deeper meaning is disclosed in a statement that Jesus makes: I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Lazarus is typical of all human beings. Without the indwelling presence of the Spirit of God, all human life is meaningless. When the Spirit of God enters into our lives, we are no longer dead in a spiritual sense but are partakers of the life that is

Liver Enzyme Lab Andra Larade Bio 30 B7 11/20/15 Liver Enzyme Lab The Effect of pH and Temperature on the Efficiency of Catalase Abstract: In order to determine how pH and temperature affect the liver enzyme catalase, an experiment was conducted. Catalase breaks apart hydrogen peroxide producing water and oxygen. Using an O2 sensor to measure how much additional oxygen is added into a sealed Nalgene bottle, we could determine the enzymes effectiveness. Three variations of temperature were tested: cold, hot and room temperature. This was done by taking test tubes with the three different samples and placing them in a Nalgene Bottle. It was determined that the enzyme is most effective when at room temperature although still functions when it is chilled. The heated sample was drastically less effective. The pH was tested by adding acid (HCl), base () and neutral (water) to the enzyme. When the enzyme samples were tested using the hydrogen peroxide and O2 sensor test it was determined that any ... (Corsini) This shape is very important to its function and variation in temperature and pH can denature the enzyme. Hypothesis: Part I: Testing the Effect of Heat If the enzyme temperature is decreased then it will not decompose hydrogen peroxide because it normally functions at a higher body temperature. Part II: Testing the Effect of pH If the enzyme pH is increased than it will not decompose because it will be much more acidic than the more neutral environment it functions in. • 7. Essay On Ophelia And Gertrude Women are the real architects of society Some believe that men are rulers or in control of everything. It may even be thought that men are the cause of most disasters in the world today. There is also an outlook on women, that they are innocent and only take responsibility for emotions instead of actions. Hamlet by William Shakespeare depicts how Hamlet falls victim to an adverse outlook on women in the play. The women in this play, Ophelia and Gertrude, take the role of what today s society thinks a man should act as or have an impact on. Firstly, the daughter of a Polonius in Hamlet, Ophelia, effects the play in many ways as well as, Gertrude, the mother of Hamlet. They give many examples of how a woman can bring inconvenience or distress to one s family. This sort of distress eventually leads to the death of several characters in the Shakespeare s play: King Hamlet, Polonius, Ophelia, Gertrude, Laertes, Prince Hamlet, and King Claudius. According to Intimate Friendship with God by Joy Dawson , Women can be a stepping stone, which makes a pathway easier, or a stumbling block, which makes it difficult in relation to holiness. In this case, Ophelia and Gertrude would be looked on as stumbling blocks to their families. Frailty thy name is woman, Hamlet(Act 1.Scene 2. Palm Sunday is the first day of Holy Week that celebrates the story of Jesus triumphant entry into Jerusalem .2 Maundy Thursday, the day before Good Friday, remembers Jesus s last meal and his imprisonment. On this day Jesus went to pray in the garden of Gethsemane, when his friend Judas betrayed him and arrived with a group of men with swords who had been sent by the priests to arrest Jesus. Jesus was then questioned by the council and it was decided he would be crucified. Holy Saturday is essentially a day of solemn vigil .1 The primary activity of the day comes at nightfall as the observance of Jesus Resurrection approaches. Easter Sunday is followed by a 50 day period ending on Pentecost, a Jewish festival for Christians to commemorate the descent of the Holy Spirit on Jesus Christ s disciples on the seventh Sunday after

Compare Three Phase And Six Phase Induction Motor Abstract: The area of the multiphase motor has experienced a significant growth in last decade numerous interesting development have been reported in the literature in this chain this paper is an attempt to mathematically model both three phase and six phase induction motor for comparison of their characteristics. Using this mathematical modeling a Simulink model is created whose results shows that the six phase induction motor can sustain more than four times the torque that can be sustained by three phase induction motor of same design parameters. The six phase motor is better not just in torque handling capacity but it also has inherent advantages of the multiphase induction motor. The induction motor is the workhorse of the industry. In case of its three phase AC operation, they do not require any starter. They are self starting Induction motor. Every Motor consists of two major parts: (a) Stator(b) Rotor (a)Stator: Stator of three phase induction motor is made up of cast iron. It has numbers of slots to construct a 3 phase winding circuit in them which is connected to 3 phase AC source. The three phase winding are arranged in such a manner that they produce a rotating magnetic field hen a 3 phase AC supply is provided to them. (b)Rotor: The rotor is the moving component of the induction motor it is made up of laminated steel in the core with evenly spaced bars of copper or aluminum placed axially around the periphery. • 20. Children Of Men By Alfonso Cuaron Children of Men is a thought provoking dystopian film directed by Alfonso Cuaron. It explores the idea of mankind s own impermanence. Nearly two decades of human infertility have left society on the brink of collapse. There are many important scenes that help to develop the film. The last scene particularly intriguing as it left questioning viewers to come to their own conclusions Children of Men explores the key ideas of hope and faith in the face of futility and despair. The dystopian film is set on 2027, in a futuristic society in which humans are unable to reproduce. In the novel from which the movie is based author P.D James says, It is reasonable to struggle, to suffer, perhaps to even die, for a more just, and more compassionate society, but not in a world with no future, where all to soon the very words justice , compassion , society , struggle , evil would be unheard echoes on an empty air. It is evident from this that hope depends on the survival of future generations. Without hope, lives are disregarded, and bodies disposed of by any means possible. There is war, but in this war there are no winners. The reliability of even the existence of the Human Project is unknown to viewers; talk of it is all circumstantial, as we are never offered evidence of its existence. The Human Project is supposedly a group organised to experiment ways to cure infertility and make an end to this shattered society, but what is does for Kee and her baby is provide hope.

Thousands upon thousands of children from Russia and Eastern Europe were adopted in New York during the 1990 s and 2000 s, and the vast majority of these adoptions produced genuinely happy families. The children were excited to have loving families and the adoptive parents were excited to have a child to love. However, some children had difficulty transitioning to life in the United States while others were victims of abuse. Almost every adoptive case I worked with had a happy ending. Every adoptive case except for one. I hesitate to say that the child in question was actually a child. Sometimes I think that I legitimately was dealing with pure evil in human form. The Ivanov s were a young, successful couple living in Brooklyn, and commuting to their jobs in Manhattan. They had it all, wealth, good looks, charm, and generosity. The conflict itself was fuelled by nationalism and religious differences and other disputes such as the Palestinians refugee problem. I always wanted to watch Toy Story 2 directed by John Lasseter because I was afraid of the first film. What really got me was the scene where they met all of Sid s creepy creations, especially the baby head. Though when I was older and no longer afraid, I realized how much meaning there really was in Toy Story. It even holds great morals that can reflect on some of the rules from Choosing Civility written by P. M. Forni. Woody at first was very unsure of Buzz and did not like him because he was now the cool one and Buzz had a few of his own problems that Woody tried to help him with including thinking he was real and not a toy but through their adventures they learned that they needed to work together to get back to their favorite kid, Andy. To start with, Pixar has an amazing way of hiding morals in its movies, the spectacular thing about that is that kids will be learning without even realizing it. Toy Story has a main Character named Woody and his role is to take care of the rest of the toys in the room, kind of as the mayor. This seemed to work well but when a new toy comes to town he feels like his dominance is threatened and basically goes primal trying to get rid of him by running him over with the RC car. This shows how unhealthy jealousy really is when everyone else didn t care that he was

  • 29. The Five Characteristics Of The Five Factor Model... The five factor model personality theory states that an individual s personality consists of five general traits. These traits are extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, neuroticism and openness (King, 2016, pg. 475). Each of the traits are put in a certain order according to how they appear from the factor analysis (King, 2016, pg. 475). Factor analysis is a method that researchers used to group together similar traits which are used to describe personality (King, 2016, pg. 475). In the trait sequence, neuroticism is the first trait and it is the trait that describes a pessimistic personality or someone who lacks confidence and a positive mindset (King, 2016, pg. 476). Extraversion is the opposite trait of neuroticism and is the trait that individuals who are social and able to interact well with others portray (King, 2016, pg. 476). Openness is being receptive to various creative views and the ability to express oneself in a unique, individualistic manner (King, 2016, pg. 476). The agreeableness trait describes a personality aspect where the individual is dedicated to good deeds and believes in the potential that people have to be good (King, 2016, pg. 476). The last trait of the five factor model theory is conscientiousness which is the trait is used to describe an individual who is dependable and attentive to their actions (King, 2016, pg. 477). These five traits are referred to as the big five because they are general categories in which other similar traits
  • 30. Data Structure Of Using Hash Table Overview: Hashing in terms of encryption is the conversion of a word into a usually fixed length value or key that represents the original word. Hashing is used to index and retrieve items in a database because it is faster to find the item using the shorter hashed key than to find it using the original value. It basically uses a hash function to convert the word into the key. Hash function is one that is used to map data of random size to data of fixed size. Values that are returned from a hash function are called as hash values, hash codes, or hash sums. It mainly uses hash table as a data structure to look up data rapidly. There will be no two words with same hash value, otherwise collision occurs between the two words. In software programming, a hash table or hash map is a data structure that is used to execute an array i.e. it is a structure that can map keys to values. A hash function is used to determine an index value for an array of buckets or slots, with which we can find the correct value. A good hash function with an algorithm are essential for good performance of the hash table though it can be difficult to achieve. A basic requirement of a hash function is that it should provide distribution of hash values uniformly. If the distribution is non uniform, it increases the number of collisions and the cost of resolving them. Uniformity can be evaluated by observing statistical tests. If for example there exists uniform distribution only for table sizes that are

We meet at a time of tension between the United States and Muslims around the world tension rooted in historical forces that go beyond any current policy debate (Barack Obama). All of these are the starting point of great changes. These famous historical figures are considered Outsiders The Term Outsider Literally means One who does not belong to a particular group. Perception is the main key in deciding if someone belongs when they are an outsider. If you look at it from one group they don t belong and from another they do. One of the most famous outsiders in history is Martin Luther King. He was considered this because he decided to take a stance against what s normal and average. He wanted to have equal rights for both African Americans and Caucasians. By doing this he was considered an outsider by all people. They either stood with him or against him during his outside revolution. Although he did not like to be considered an outsider as shown by this quote Injustice anywhere is injustice everywhere. Anyone who lives in the US can never be considered an outsider anywhere in the country He was an outsider by trying to make no one feel like an outsider themselves. So throughput this he didn t belong to the groups trying not to allow equal rights. The entire commercial s dialogue has various people, mostly families, including a mother in front of her child, saying half fast instead of half a$$ed. Clearly, Verizon hopes that a funny play on word expression, not normally allowed in commercials, will drive sales. The idea of the commercial series is that most broadband providers have slow upload speeds, making them only half fast. So, the actors in the commercial complain of the half fast job their Internet is doing when they are posting pictures or music to the Web. The commercials are highly amusing and certainly stick with the consumer whether they like or dislike the content. Many blogs and posts on the internet express that Verizon should be more... The Battle Of Lexington And Concord By the rude bridge that arched the flood, their flag to April s breeze unfurled, here once the embattled farmers stood, and fired the shot heard round the world... primary source Ralph Waldo Emerson s poem Concord Hymn was written about the Battle of Lexington and Concord. Although this poem is not a good answer on who shot first during this battle, it does open the idea about the battle itself and makes you think who shot first. I believe that the Americans shot first at this Battle. What happened at the Battle of Lexington and Concord? Though it has been called a battle, it was more of a skirmish. It happened on April 19th the year 1775 in Middlesex Country, province of Massachusetts Bay during the American Revolution. The British were marching to Concord because of the arms depot of the Americans. The Americans were out numbered, out gunned, and not as well trained at the British soldiers. On the side of the road there were 40 to 100 speculators of this event. When the British arrived one of the officers rode forward waving his sword and called out to the militia to disperse and go home, as well as telling them Lay down your arms, you damned rebels! But the Americans did not lay down their arms so the British commander Major John Pitcairn told his men to hold fire as did the Americans leader, Captain John Parker, who was a veteran from the French and Indian War (1754 1763). But, a shot was fired from an unknown source. By the end of the fight eight militia men lay

Stephen Curry, a point guard for the Golden State Warriors has just attained a salary of $34,382,550. What the Golden State Warriors are paying Steph Curry may seem like an insurmountable sum of money, but what they pay him is returned in some form or another. To elaborate, if someone was a full time student athlete, not only do they have student obligations to their education, but they have obligations to their team as well. Somehow in between two a day practices, weekly games, and being a student, do people anticipate these athletes to work a job? Even the idea sounds funny, seeing Tim Tebow in 2009, shortly after winning a National Championship, serving food at a local Georgia restaurant. Most students fumble around with a job while being a full time student, these student athletes are full time athletes and students, and not seeing the money they earned on the field. According to John Brill a journalist for the Shirley Povich Journalism Center, the three weeks of the NCAA Basketball Tournament, known as March Madness, generate over $770 million in TV rights deals alone. To even think that none of that money goes to the athletes is absurd. An empire built of student athletes flaunting their hard worked talents. American Televised Networks are cheating athletes. These networks are now multi million dollar networks breaking new grounds and reaching peak attendances they are the stepping stone for sports TV in America. Only, they are an empire built on other people s success. Those players will never see a nickel for their work. That is unless they go pro, which to reiterate is restricted by NCAA rules. Yet one more example of these athletes

  • 45. Problems Within Education Today s Education Essay Problems Within Education Today For my extra credit assignment I would like to research, and write about the problems in education today. According to chapter eight in the book, worldwide one in five adults can not read or write, two thirds of them being women. The problems we are facing in education can be linked to other social problems such as poverty or unemployment, seeing that those who graduate college make up twenty percent of the unemployment rate, compared to the forty percent of the unemployment rate in people with less than a high school degree. Another issue facing education is the inequality of schools and school districts. School districts with a lower socioeconomic status must spend more money on things like maintaining the school. Thus, leaving less money to spend on bettering the education of the children, which in turn leads to higher rates of drop outs, and lower rates of college attendance. Therefore, leaving them more likely to be unemployed or live in poverty. Finally, another major problem facing the American education system is the lack of financial support. One survey revealed that the most common thing to happen due to budget cuts is to increase the class size, which has been directly correlated with poorer academic achievement. The problems facing education are plentiful, most of which are grounded in financial woes. These effects can be devastating to the lives of the children it affects or society as a whole, due to the statistics correlating

Cloning of livestock was first successfully completed in 1996 when a female domestic sheep was cloned from an adult somatic cell. Somatic cell nuclear transfer (SCNT) is currently being utilised for cloning of adult farm animals. This process involves the reprogramming of a somatic cell nucleus to preform in a set way for embryonic development to occur. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Toole is obviously attacking the evil people of society who are given great power and responsibility and use this advantage for corruption and slavery. Racial profiling discrimination is one big reason why modern slavery still exists today. One example is the racial profiling that occurs in the Toole s play where the police are accusing or assuming Burma Jones stole a bag of nuts since most African Americans are unfairly untrusted and fall on the stereotypes that they participate in criminal activity. A quote from John H. McWhorter of the City Journal stresses that In some parts of the country, black men are so overrepresented in criminal activities that police officers, white and black, would be shirking their duty not to concentrate on them. (McWhorter). To avoid being arrested from the law as a vagrant he is required to get a job, with no experience or education in the workforce he eventually has to settle for a miserable position in a bar sweeping for below minimum wage which delineates the image of being trapped in modern slavery. Another statistic worth noting is from the NORC article from the University of Chicago stating that half of black Americans report being treated unfairly by police because of their race, and their views of law enforcement are shaped by this experience. (NORC 1). Today, millions of Americans have different opinions over how we think the police in our local communities treat racial and ethnic minorities whether it s with
  • 52. The Qin Shi Huangdi Qin Essay Qin Shi Huangdi, the first Qin emperor, was a proactive and ambitious emperor who implemented a central bureaucratic system that oversaw the evolution and unification of China at the cost of public sentiment. The Qin Dynasty is considered among the most influential dynasties as it laid the foundation for the massive cultural and economic development of Chinathat took place during the Han Dynasty, but it also failed to achieve many of its pro commoner ideological goals. In fact, socioeconomic disparity was not alleviated and despite the notion of enriching the lives of the common people, it was under Qin rule in which public resentment of the authoritarian government peaked as there were countless peasant revolts against the iron handed bureaucratic rule of China. Because a paranoid emperor alone wielded political clout and influence, the tumultuous few years of Qin reign was rife with paranoia and suspicion among the masses. Although the Qin Dynasty is seldom thought as possessing the same glaring discrepancy between ideology and state that the Communist regime in post World War II China had despite the similarities, the failure of the flawless egalitarian state models in socioeconomic and political aspects during the Qin Dynasty mirrored the developments in early Communist China. Among the key aspects of the Qin unification was the act of completely clearing all local aristocracies and uniting the peasant class into a single, mobilized workforce. Ideally, the Qin
