Supervised 4 planners in planning and scheduling steady state mechanical maintenance for all equipment in
the Tailings, Extraction, Ore Preparation, Utilities and Froth Treatment areas of the Kearl oil sands mine.
Served as a focal point for development of work packages, including isometric drawings, P&ID’s, parts lists,
welding procedures, inspection test plans (ITP’s), QC documents & Management of Change (MOC) packages
for maintenance of a wide variety of equipment, including boilers, vessels, pumps, steam traps and conveyors.
Forecasted manpower needs, scheduled maintenance contractors for outages and shutdowns, approved
material & equipment requisitions (MER’s) for change orders, and supervised third party tool crib.
Led the group in closing out contract, including all ITP’s, MER’s, MOC’s and tool crib demobilization.

Performed work face planning and breakdown repair planning for all equipment in the Ore Preparation Plant.
Completed mechanical walk-downs of repair notifications; reviewed, prioritized and scheduled maintenance
work requests; and provided troubleshooting and support to maintain the plant’s operational readiness.
Developed task lists, parts lists, permit pack documents and safe work practices, and acted as a focal point for
the development of preventative maintenance work packages and management of change work packages.
Scheduled and coordinated third party maintenance contractors; obtained quotes, completed material &
equipment requisitions, and participated in daily cross-functional team meetings.
Wrote safe work procedures for blinding/de-blinding, lock-out/tag-outs, pulley replacement and mechanical

preventative maintenance program for both Kearl plants and the River Water Intake Plant.
