Having around 9 years of experience as a Mechanical Planner (Routine & Shutdown Maintenance)
and 1 years as a Mechanical Supervisor in Petrochemical Plants and Oil & Gas Plants.

Key job Responsibilities
 Taking care (Initiation, planning, coordinates for execution, monitoring, control & closing)
of all the unit shutdowns & major Turnarounds in the complex
 Collecting the shutdown schedule, maintenance window and job list from operation.
 Evaluate the jobs collect the details required for planning. Perform scope challenging.
 Coordinate for MOC jobs & collecting technical details.
 Preparing the Job Packages consists of task list, schedule, drawings, crafts, man hour,
material & support requirements,
 Identify other external recourse, contract jobs and vendor support requirements for
execution of jobs
 Coordinate & follow up with the Area, contractors, respective departments & planners for
planning & arranging the all the requirements.
 Coordinate or prepare the schedules using Primavera, conduct meeting for its confirmation
of plan/ schedule, publish the final schedule to all the groups.
 Follow up the shutdown/ Turnaround progress & report the same to the management daily.
 Arranging & leading TA progress meeting to sort-out the issues during the execution.
 After the successful completion of the shutdown/TA demobilize all the services & resources,
coordinate for the removal of unused & scrap materials from site, prepare the final close
out report including the cost impact (from SAP/ ROSER).
 Planning & scheduling all the daily, weekly & Monthly maintenance activities according to
the available resources & considering the production loss.
 Discuss with Production Engineer, Mechanical Engineer & with the concern area
supervisors about the job criticality, job scope, safety & risk involved before planning the
job. Prepares the job plans.
 Arranging the materials, work force, required support, etc. and performs continues follow
up of the job until getting a satisfactory acceptance from the Notification Generator.
 Planning, Scheduling & Arranging for Periodic/ Preventive Maintenance Activities also
 Handled one major Turnaround (PVC/ VCM in Oct 2010), and several small unit shutdowns
 Performing continues follow ups with the vendor/ buyers for the required materials &
services until the requirement is satisfied
 Arranging all the support services for the execution of a maintenance activity before its
scheduled start time.
 Leading daily meeting to update the daily progress & to discuss the issue related to the jobs.
2.  Getting approval for the next week plan in the weekly meetings.
 Manpower requirement calculations - Capacity calculations
 Able to read and check the scope of work, P&IDs, isometric, equipment drawings and
structural drawing.
 Extensive working knowledge on SAP R/3 system in PM & MM module.
 Creating & Changing Reservations, Notifications, WO’s, PR’s, SES, Equipment & BOM
Updating, etc in SAP
 Searching, creating & editing the description for the material numbers in RAMIS/ MDRM.
 Preparing job cards for unit/ plant shutdowns (TA) using Primavera (P6)/ MS Projects.
 Expertise in Maintenance budget preparation, KPI, Shutdown report generation &
conducting meeting to collect the review to rectify/ identify the deficiencies/ requirements.
 Supports Electrical, Instrument, Analyzer & Inspection groups whenever there is a request.
 Worked as a supervisor during plant Turnaround (Shutdown) for static equipments.
 Before beginning a job, scope of work may be explained to all concerned supervisor &
employees at work site. Also, explain about the safety hazards related to the job and the
required precautions to be taken while working.
 Organize the necessary work force according to their skill & job requirement.
 Arrange good quality tools, equipments, permits, material, required supports and good
atmosphere for the execution of work.
 After the completion of job check the housekeeping, close the permits & report to the
planners about the progress. Assisting Installation, dismantling & Repair of Static and
Hydraulic equipments. (Experience on equipments like Extruders, Furnace, Filters, Heat
Exchanges, Reactors, Hydraulic press, Rollers, Power Packs, etc)
 Coordinating Plant Turnaround/ Shutdown activities. (Scope of work includes Furnace re-
tubing & repair, reactor, column, heat exchanger, etc repair, hot tapping on running lines,
etc)
 Assisting the Fabrication of spools & Erection of pipelines as per the Isometric drawings.
 Assisting Hydro/ Pneumatic Testing on pipelines & static equipments
 Preparing daily plans to meet the production target (MRF). Arranging materials & regular
follow ups for the progress.
 Time Study - Elemental study and fixing of norms & job evaluation
 Method Study – for productivity improvement
 Machine & worker performance auditing
 Introducing new Systems & Procedures
 Planning & Preparing Plant Layouts for expansion, relocation & replacement of m/c using
the software AUTOCAD
 Taking care of the entire shift activities like production, maintenance & quality to achieve
the planned production. (Midland)
 Frequently monitor the activities of employees, resolving the job related questions and make
visual inspection for quality of work.
 Preparation of shift reports and handover the next shift.
