CAREER HISTORY
Oct 2010 – Date REINSTATEMENT AGENT, LAING O’ROURKE (INFRASTRUCTURE),
Appointed as Reinstatement Agent on the Severn Trent Water framework contract,
with a budget in excess of £85 Million this is a high profile contract involving both
proactive and reactive works, under our current structure I am responsible for 10 teams
comprising of both Grab teams and Reinstatement gangs. Some of my many duties
include:-
• Ensure all notices are in place and works are carried out within these notice
periods to avoid section 74 charges/fines.
• Implement our Mission Zero health & safety policy and ensure compliance
across the contract.
• Review and deliver Method Statements, Risk Assessments & Toolbox Talks.
• Participate in group meetings on core issues such as HS&E, Planning,
Reinstatement, Quality etc.
• Ensure electronic works management system is fully implemented.
• Ensure staffing levels are balanced to cope with changing workloads, all
disciplinary issues, staff pay and holidays.
• Monitor quality of work to ensure HAUC & NRASWA Specification are
achieved & maintained.
• Maintain Client & Customer satisfaction deal with any customer care or
remedial issues swiftly.
• Programming of Works & Deployment of workforce to maintain production &
meet targets set out within specific timescales.
• Monitor material and plant stock levels and ensure levels are maintained as per
project requirements.
• Ensure plant is maintained and fit for purpose and records kept to ensure
compliance.
• Keep staff training up to date, including NRSWA, SHEA & EUSR water
hygiene cards, plant & vehicle licences.
• Undertake further training and development in line with current or future job
requirements

Grab lorry driver/Ganger on the Yorkshire Water contract
Include:-
• Ensure all operations are carried out in line with company HS&E procedures
• Prioritise & programme works to avoid overrun charges
• Backfill & reinstatement of carriageways, footpaths & verges to correct HAUC
& NRASWA Specification.
• Build ups of chambers/boxes for Yorkshire Water Network requirements,
• Installing or re-setting ironworks to design specifications,
• Construct & install Pressure Release Valves, water meters, stop taps etc
• Removal of spoil in line with environmental regulations,
• Loading & unloading of materials
