Project management involves planning, executing, monitoring, and closing projects. It applies knowledge and skills to meet requirements through initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing processes led by a project manager. Projects have defined starts and ends, budgets, resources from various groups, and a single point of responsibility. The project management process includes conceptualization and planning, design and prototyping, production, testing, distribution, and follow-up activities managed throughout the project.
importance of resources allocation in formal method of software engineering ...abdulrafaychaudhry
Project management is a very wide area of work, particularly in business. It covers many different topics which can be broken into even smaller particles. Work of a project manager is not only about giving people orders and telling them what to do. Many people limit their work of a project manager to supervising their employees and making sure everyone meets their deadline. But a good project manager knows it’s more than that.
Resource allocation in project management is one of those particles which make work of a good PM effective and significant. And even though it may seem simple, it is actually crucial in delivering a great project.
Resource allocation in project management is concerned with creating a plan which can help achieve future goals. There are many resources which have to be allocated when managing a project, beginning from budget to equipment and tools, to data and the project’s plan.
How To Allocate Resources
Resource allocation in project management is so important because it gives a clear picture on the amount of work that has to be done. It also helps to schedule ahead and have an insight into the team’s progress, including allocating the right amount of time to everyone on the team.
Resource allocation allows to plan and prepare for the project’s implementation or achieving goals. It is also possible to analyze existing threats and risks to the project.
But above all, resource allocation in project management helps to control all the workload. This, as a result, contributes to team’s effectiveness at work and what follows later is a satisfying and exhaustive project.

Portale Appennini e Monti di Liguria 10 anni (2000-2010) by enrico pelosenrico pelos
(la pubblicazione è scaricabile free come pdf o leggibile on-line ed è rilasciata sotto licenza Creative Commons, no commercial, no derivatives. Eventuali indicazioni di prezzo del gestore che ospita la pubblicazione è il puro costo di stampa cartaceo, senza nessun scopo di lucro da parte dell'autore, ed è ovviamente evitabile essendo leggibile on-line)

The Portal/Website of the Apennines mountains of Liguria is not on-line anymore. The pages of what was the first portal of its kind, in Liguria one of the first in Italy and the first to be born bilingual was born in 2000 from an idea matured in 1999. Prehistory short, computationally speaking. The aim was to collect many of the pages in a publication, albeit with many of the links no longer valid due to the ultra-fast evolution of web pages in a way that did not go completely missing the wealth of articles, photographs about the reality of Liguria composed landscapes but also of people.
The portal was created not as a commercial entity but institutional implying report, shelters, hotels, restaurants, B & B, paths, trails, books, authors, people, and other activities with short reviews and the related links give basic information and then allow the browser/user to get in touch directly with the various of companies in the Liguria.

Project Plan Development - A FlackVentures Training ExampleKate Pynn
Project planning is the construction of a dynamic agreement across diverse functional groups involved in a project. This agreement specifies:
Goals and deliverables of the project
What is being developed
Major activities that will be performed to achieve those goals

The PMI A Guide to the Project Management
Body of Knowledge, Third Edition defines
project management as:
“Project management is the application of
knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to project
activities to meet project requirements. Project
management is accomplished through the
application and integration of the project
management processes of initiating, planning,
executing, monitoring and controlling, and
closing. The project manager is the person
responsible for accomplishing the project
objectives.
4. 8.1 What is project management?
Managing a project
includes:
Identifying
requirements
Establishing clear and
achievable objectives
Balancing the
competing demands
for quality, scope,
time and cost

Features of projects:
Start and finish
Life cycle
Budget
Non-repetitive (unique tasks)
Resources from various
allocations
Single point of responsibility
Team roles & relationships
6. 8.2 Project Management Issues
Common project management
issues:
Client Gives You Vague, Ever-
changing Requirements
Sometimes, a client doesn’t know
what they want until a certain stage
is complete, then schedule those
decision points into the project as
milestones.
7. 8.2 Project Management Issues
Must have a clear path mapped out from
start to finish because it forces the client
to be specific with their requirements, as
well as keeping the project on track.
8. 8.2 Project Management Issues
Client is Slow with
communication
People are busy, but
it’s tough for you to
move forward on a
project if you can never
get answers from the
person you’re working
with.
9. 8.2 Project Management Issues
The Project Doesn’t
Start On Time
The hold can either be from
your side or the client side.
If it is on yours: then it’s
important that you do
something to jump-start
the project
Client: you need to
communicate very clearly
how that alters things
moving forward.
10. 8.2 Project Management Issues
You Try to Manage
Every Project the
Same Way
There has never been a
project that has the same
circumstance,
requirements, and needs
as another project.
Situations, people, and
goals change over time.
11. 8.2 Project Management Issues
The Client Doesn’t Like
What You Created
If this happens often, then
there is a communication
issue that needs to be
addressed.
Make sure you understand not
just the technical
requirements of a project, but
also the underlying rationale
of your clients.
12. 8.2 Project Management Issues
Your Point of Contact Doesn’t Seem
to Care About Your Project
In some cases, the person responsible
for communicating with you has little to
no interest in your project.
If the completed product will have no
direct effect on their job, they are hard to
ask questions to, even harder to get
answers from, and they provide minimal
guidance.
When screening potential clients, do your
best to find out if the contact person has
a vested interest in the project.
13. 8.2 Project Management Issues
Too Much Time is Spent Solving
Problems After Projects Are "Live"
There will be bugs here and there, but this is a
classic problem caused by focusing too much on
production, and not enough on testing.
schedule in more time to test your projects from the
start. Double your typical testing time if needed.
if the issues are a result of clients constantly wanting
you to tweak something here and there, then you
need to be clearer about what you do and don’t
provide with your services.
