1) Smart schools aim to improve teaching and learning through technology integration and reinventing educational processes, but face several challenges. 2) A major challenge is the heavy investment required for facilities, equipment, and teacher training, as well as ongoing maintenance costs. 3) Other challenges include underutilization of resources due to lack of ICT knowledge among some teachers and one-size-fits-all courseware that does not accommodate varying student needs and abilities.

• The cost and maintenance fees for the facilities are high
• Effective implementation of Smart Schools will require:
Funding for the building of new schools with its entire multimedia infrastructure
Upgrading facilities in existing schools
Teacher training institutions
Maintenance of new technology

7. LACK OF DEMOCRATIZATION IN EDUCATION
• Students have no choice on what to learn and when to sit for exam
• They don’t have enough time to study and understand the lesson as they have
different ability to learn
