These are our partners from New York and Honduras.
This is us Skypeing with New York and Honduras. We talked about causes and effect of global warming.
These are our letters from Honduras that they gave us.
This is our map that has our pen pals from around the world.
This is person who is the teacher of our pen pals in China. She told us all about Chinese culture. She talked about the foods they eat, pets, and how they are doing with English. The other picture is of a bulletin board in front of the school that compares our school to the school in China.
This is our pen pal class from China. They are in the 5 th grade. They wear their coats, because they don’t have heaters in school and their hallways are outside.
These are the letters that our pen pals from China gave us. They were really cool. Even Dominic’s had Chinese writing!
This is a picture of my letter from my pen pal Wang Shue. She wrote that her favorite subject was music and her favorite food was bananas. She also liked to have Chinese noodles for dinner. She has a turtle and a fish for a pet.
This is our friend from Africa. He used to be a student in Mrs. Urbanc’s class.
This is me getting on ePals to send an email to my friend Ayden in Tazmania. We wrote persuasive essays about why our town was the best place to live. He thinks his place is best, because he can go to the beach and see dolphins and whales. I think Peoria is the best, because there is really good food! I don’t have a pen pal in Egypt…that’s only for the girls.
This is McMurdo, Antarctica. We don’t have a kid as a pen pal. He is a researcher. This is a picture of where he works. He just sent our entire class this really awesome book.
In conclusion, I have really enjoyed learning about places around the world. And I also learned things about global warming…like causes and effects. I can’t wait to do this again!
