Essay On Mobile Technology
Writing an essay on the topic of mobile technology can be both challenging and intriguing. On
one hand, the subject is vast and ever-evolving, with constant technological advancements and
innovations. This dynamic nature makes it difficult to capture a comprehensive overview without
the risk of information becoming quickly outdated.
Furthermore, addressing the multifaceted aspects of mobile technology requires a balanced
approach. The essay must delve into the historical development of mobile devices, explore the
impact of mobile technology on communication, business, and daily life, and analyze the societal
implications, including privacy concerns and ethical considerations.
One must navigate through a sea of technical jargon, ensuring that the content remains accessible
to a diverse audience. Striking the right balance between technical details and layman's terms
can be a daunting task, as the aim is not just to showcase knowledge but also to communicate
effectively.
Moreover, the challenge lies in synthesizing information from various sources, ensuring the
accuracy and reliability of data. Given the rapid pace of technological changes, it's crucial to stay
updated with the latest developments to provide a nuanced perspective.
Crafting a compelling introduction that captures the reader's attention, followed by a well-
structured body that presents a logical flow of ideas, requires careful planning and organization.
Concluding the essay with insightful reflections on the future of mobile technology adds an
extra layer of complexity, demanding foresight and speculative analysis.
In conclusion, writing an essay on mobile technology demands a blend of technical expertise,
research skills, and the ability to convey complex concepts in a comprehensible manner. It is a
task that requires dedication, diligence, and a commitment to keeping abreast of the latest
advancements. Despite its challenges, the process can be rewarding, offering the opportunity to
explore the transformative impact of mobile technology on our interconnected world.

Money Laundering Essay
According to the U.S. Department of Justice, money laundering is the process by
which one conceals the existence, illegal source, or illegal application of income
and then disguises that income to make it appear legitimate. Money laundering
involves a three step process which includes placement, layering and integration
(Albrecht et al, 2009). Placement is the first step and it includes the launderer
opening up an account at a bank or some other type of financial business to make
deposits with the illegal money. The placement step is often looked at as the most
risk taking step because the launderer does not know the reaction of the bank and
how they are going to accept a large cash deposit. If the deposit is too large the bank

Money Laundering According to Hopton (2009), the Bank Secrecy Act of 1970 was
created in order to prevent money laundering. The act was made to try to discourage
illegal acts such as money laundering from happening and to deter the criminals from
even thinking about committing the crime. Woods (1998) stated that money
laundering was not a criminal offense at the time the Bank Secrecy Act was passed.
The act provides information on the movement of money through financial
institutions in the United States and it monitors the movement of money into and out
of the United States. It requires banks and other financial businesses to help the
government in trying to prevent and detect money laundering. The federal
government law enforcement agencies use the information gathered through the
Bank Secrecy Act to detect criminal activities and regulatory violations. These
businesses are required to keep track of all of their cash transactions of ten thousand
dollars and more and report them to the IRS within forty five days. These transactions
could include anything such as deposits, withdrawals, exchanges, payments, multiple
transactions in one day and any cash deposits over the weekend or holidays (Woods,
1998). They also have to identify individuals who are requesting these large
transactions and keep any records that relate to their transactions.
Delegation in Nursing
A Discussion of Various Perspectives on Delegation in Nursing Jessica Abbott
University of Central Florida ABSTRACT: Delegation refers to the practice of a
registered nurse assigning certain tasks and activities to other people while still
maintaining responsibility for the actions of the others to whom responsibility has
been delegated. The act of delegating assumes that the delegator has a certain amount
of trust in the person to whom they delegate. Additionally, quality communication is
paramount in maintaining superior patient care when delegating tasks to others. One
signifigant obstacle to delegation is ensuring that the proper tasks are delegated to the
appropriate individuals. The organizational structure and leadership... Show more

Resha s qualms about the particularities of the implementation of delegation don t
detract from her general support for the practice of delegation as such. Statement
of Counter View The main argument against the practice of delegating nursing
responsibilities is that organizational structures often fail to ensure that the people
receiving the delegated responsibilities are qualified to accept the delegation.
Resha (2010) discussed this to some extent, but believed that the practice on the
whole was worthy. However, it could be argued that by its very nature, delegation
creates a discrepancy between the person performing a nursing action and the
person responsible for that action. This could have negative consequences on
quality of care, because if a nurse isn t responsible for her own actions, then she
may perform her role less effectively than she would if she had to take
responsibility for her performance. As Reising and Allen (2007) write, delegation
may be encouraged as a way to decrease costs and deal with low staffing levels, but
it can also put the organization at increased risk for law suits if carried out
improperly. Both aspects of this warning are instructive. First, Reising and Allen
seem to suggest that delegation primarily emerges as a result of practical
considerations
Music And Its Effects On Children
Parents also serve as a blockade when it comes to the subject of music. Parents are
very cautious and get very defensive of what their children listen to. Parents block
children from hearing the truth or prevent their child from seeing how an artist
expresses themselves, because of a few raunchy lyrics and profanity? I often listen to
music on my iPhone, but since Apple launched its Apple Music project, my music
only plays in the edited or clean version, which is very annoying. I am a huge Future
fan and on his recent album, Dirty Sprite 2, it s the cursewords that really build the
song. The profanity really makes the album sizzle and paints the image of and
blends the album together so perfectly. Music is a form or art, who are you to... Show

What should or not be accepted because of the way it sounds. People who are stuck
to one particular sound will judge someone else because they do not like that sound
and therefore, it may suck or not sound good to them. They are often lacking the
capability to realize that artist create for themselves and often use music to fuel
their emotions and energy. It is often taken for granted and we just do not
appreciate what the artist does. We typecast music and allow genres to dictate us,
so if we hear something of a different genre, we may not like it and judge the whole
genre because of that one song. One song or sound does not represent a whole
genre of music and will not determine if you will or will not a single song of that
genre. We live in a generation, a society or in other and more relative words, a
matrix where we are comfortable with the same sound and same thing over and
over. We do not want anything to change about the things we like and do, because
that s what we feel in love with. As a collective, we are often stuck in our ways and
become base. People are afraid to try new things and step out their comfort zone.
People often do not try to find comfort in other things or something new and we stick
to the routine of our matrix and move to the same beat of that drum that we love so
much.
How can we benefit or fix our music matrix, when there are a few artists
Different Forms Of Co Teaching
Lauren Dursky and I decided that we would implement different forms of co teaching
for different subjects. It did not seem efficient to use the same method for each
subject, so we decided to vary the instruction. For math, we decided to use station
teaching. This allows students to discover a true understanding of each concept
through different activities. This style of co teachingalso allows each teacher to
incorporate his or her own unique perspective into the classroom. This style could
be challenging for math because it requires extra planning and you have to make
sure both teachers are teaching similar methods at the same time so movement from
one station to the next is smooth. We then decided to use the teaming method for
history. The teaming method allows both teachers to present their own views to the
class and bounce ideas off of each other (The Power of 2, 2005). Instead of using
textbooks to teach history, we decided to take a concept and explore its significance
through events and debates. We would start off by each presenting a different point
of view on a single event and have students divide into two groups based on their
initial thoughts. Each teacher would then lead their portion of the class through
research and constructing a debate. After a couple days spent learning about the
situation and preparing an argument, the two halves of the class would debate.
For language arts we decided to use the parallel teaching method. This method allows

1. It has been said that forecasting using exponential smoothing is like driving a car
by looking in the rear view mirror. What are the conditions that would have to exist
for driving a car that are analogous to the assumptions made when using exponential
smoothing?
When driving a car, everyone knows where one should be looking. Straight ahead
most of the time and with some side glances from time to time. An occasional glance
into the rear view mirror is recommended. Any quantitative forecasting method
always uses historical data to make forecasts. Exponential smoothing is a method
used in forecasting to eliminate the effect of any random deviations in the data trend.
Also, like any forecasting method, it assumes that the ... Show more content on

But even this is not possible in case of a new product or innovation. A forecast of
sales, demand, cash, requirements and several such business valuables are extremely
essential for a business in order to be able to appropriately plan and conduct its
operations in an effective and efficient manner. Yet, forecasts cannot be made
accurately as there are several factors and changes in the current environment that
leads to variations in forecasts and impacts or causes a manager to make changes in
the forecasts.
3. When a new business is started, or a patent idea needs funding, venture capitalists
or investment bankers will want to see a business plan that includes forecast
information related to a profit and loss statement. What type of forecasting
information do you suppose would be required?
Whenever a business plan is made for funding, the purpose is to sell a product or
service that already exists in the market and is different from that trying to market
an invention. In any profit and loss statement, the difficult part is the profit part or
actual revenue stream. The costs part is easy to estimate in both cases. In the first
case, there will be historical data available from the existing market players while in
the second case, the investor should be able to estimate what share of the market that
one expects to capture. This would be either from the existing market players, or from
the excess unfulfilled demand that may exist in the market. If grabbing the market
One Name Two Fates And The Other Wes Moore
People make decisions everyday without knowing the consequences from them.
The Other Wes Moore One Name Two Fates written by Wes Moore is a memoir
that explains how your future can be determined by the choices you make in your
life. Both Wes Moore`s grew up without their fathers. Wes Moore(the author) grew
up fatherless because his father had passed away from an allergic reaction that
affected the epiglottis that caused him to suffocate. Likewise, The other Wes Moore
grew up not really knowing his father. Both of their mothers were always working
so hard to make sure their families were stable, but Mary(the other wes moore s

Wes attended an all white private school called Riverdale, he struggled because he
felt out of place. Eventually wes(the author) started to go to school irregularly. Wes
was in a constant reminder that he was much poorer than the kids at his school. So
wes would go back to his old neighborhood and hang out with his old friends instead
of going to school. Wes was an all round trouble maker from; Tagging on the streets
to punching his sisters Shani and Nikki. His mother Joy, finally had enough with
wes getting into trouble so with the help of his grandparents she sent him to
military school at Valley Forge. Wes hated the military school so much that he tried
to escape multiple times. One night his Sergeant, Austin had given him a map that
would help him escape and when wes tried to escape, he followed the map
precisely and ended at dead end, that is when he realized the map was a fake. Wes
was caught and brought back to Captain Hills office and was granted one phone call
to his mother. After Wes talked to his mother wes continued to attend Valley
Argumentative Essay A Death Of One s Own
A Death of One s Own In some states a terminally ill person is given the option
whether or not they want a physician assisted suicide to end their life. In A Death
of One s Own , they follow the lives of three people who are terminally ill and are
closing in on the end of their life. One of those being a man named Jim Witcher. Jim
lives in Louisiana, where physicianassisted suicide is frowned upon. Jim is slowly
becoming unable to do things that he used to do, do to ALS. This puts a lot of
stress on him and his wife Susie. Kitty Rayl was diagnosed with uterine cancer, she
lives in Oregon and has the option to have physician assisted suicide if she pleases.
Oregon is one of a few states where this is allowed. Ricky Tackett was sufferingfrom
liver failure. His wife, Rose and his doctors had to make the decision to take away
his water and nutrients.
I believe that physicians assisted suicide is something that every terminally ill person
should be offered. Many terminally ill patients experience a painful death due to their
disease. This would let the patient decided a more peaceful way to die. This makes
the patient more at ease knowing that their fate is in their own hands. Even though
this is a very hard decisions, the family would know their loved one is out of pain
and suffering. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Although there are cons, they are outweighed by the pros. Making physicians
assisted suicide legal in all states will let patients retain their dignity. They are
given the opportunity to decide where they would prefer to die and who they want
there. This will also help end the suffering. Terminal diseases can cause a person a
lot of pain and depression at the end of life, this pill will put them out of their
misery. Grief is easier to handle when the family knows when they will die. This will
let them dissolve any problems and die in
Improving Economic And Social Status Of A Region
Introduction Presently, changes are being experienced in areas where development
projects aimed at improving the economic and social status of a region are being
carried. These changes happen to affect the environment within which the projects
are being carried and they often call for strategies to be developed by the developing
body to make sure that these impacts are reduced significantly (Beer, Au and Hall
n.d.). Despite different development projects aiming at bringing about some positive
changes in the society or in a given setting, studies show that the same projects may
lead to conflicts between the environmentand the human activities being carried out
in that particular region. Initially, the campaign for economic growth was viewed
as the key for increasing the standards of living in a given region but very little
attention was given to the social and environmental sensitivity and impacts that
accompanied these projects (Chen, Liu and Liaw 2011). As a result, there has been
a growing need to reduce the impacts of the projects as well as making sure that the
long term benefits of the projects are maximized in leading to sustainability of the
projects. Therefore, in the case of pipeline industry, there are a number of impacts
that the industry exposes to the environment as cases of spills may happen as well
as destruction of the environment as the pipelines are laid (Even and Porter 2012).
These impacts may be reduced and the sustainability of the projects may be
Theme Of Childhood In The Kite Runner
I realized the impact of a setting on childhood when I went to India as a 6 year old
child with my family. As we walked on the streets outside the mall one evening, I
saw a little boy lifting rocks and begging for money outside. I remember asking my
dad why a kid like me was suffering so much. He explained to me that although the
political climate in India evolved from a social caste system, the views from society
have not evolved as much. The prejudice resembles one similar seen in Afghanistan.
In the novel The Kite Runner, by Khaled Hosseinidisplays the growth of fascism and
the manner in which it can drastically dehumanize a childhood. He does so in a three
very distinct time periods. First, during Soviet takeover, then Afghan Revolution,...

This passage does an excellent job showing how the Russian would stoke fear into
the life of Afghans and regulate their life. When the author says that the Russian
tanks would roll into the streets where he played in showed that his innocence had
ended and he was now a prisoner of the time period. Hosseini pulls off this feat again
in Chapter 10 by showing the stigma created by the Russians. You couldn t trust
anyone in Kabul any more for a fee or under threat, people told on each other,
neighbor on neighbor, child on parent, brother on brother, servant on master, friend
on friend. [...]. The rafiqs, the comrades, were everywhere and they d split Kabul
into two groups: those who eavesdropped and those who didn t. (108). This passage
shows how the life of a village had become imprisonment and everyone was only
trying to save themselves at the cost of others. Ultimately, we see how the Russians

Online Music On The Internet
I will choose to evaluate the topic You, the D.J. (online music movies to the cloud)
which is written by Sasha Frere Jones. A D.J. or ЛњDisk jockey is someone that
conducts a program of recorded music on the radio, television or at clubs and other
dance halls. They introduce and play CD s or records on record players. The history
of the disc jockeyactually begins in the nineteenth century when Thomas Edison
invents the phonograph, the precursor to the record player. Before, the only way to
enjoy music is by going to a live performance or making it yourself. With the
phonograph, people could now listen to their favorite music from the comfort of their

that Of the twenty hours a week that an average American spends listing to music,
only three of it is stuff you own. The rest is radio. So I read the book I found that in
this essay, people had different media to listen the songs through internet like
Pandora. Pandora Internet radio, often known simply as Pandora is an automated
music recommendation service and custodian of the Music. We can add variety by
suggesting what other artists would like to hear. Pandora will briefly pause its
streaming for a commercial or two from its sponsors feature that can be disabled
by upgrading to a premium account for a nominal fee I think so. I came to know
that the most popular alternative to the broadcast model is on demand that is
Spotify which was Swedish company. One of the biggest demand player is MOG,
a new service that offers a wide array of listening the option and also less expensive,
and the highest digital quality which I think is good and become a D.J. our self.
A friend and I was discussing the merits of the streaming music service. Pandora and
Spotify. I am a longtime Pandora subscriber. My friend uses Spotify and thinks I
should, too.
Both services have free and paid accounts. Free users get ads. Paid users don t have to
endure ads, and the stream quality is better. The two services do differ. Let s look at
the paid versions. Pandora has a library of about a million
Irony In A Very Old Man With Enormous Wings
Another Plot Twister If all stories written and those untold were to be scattered
across the globe and looked at, it would be evident that irony is present throughout
our lives as it is present in these three pieces of writing. A small girl crouched in the
corner of a darkened house sobs hysterically as people run screaming, she had got
her birthday wish, she and her mother would be together forever, but the people
had been running from her and she was now to live out eternity in the small house,
the one she died in. A turn of events can be quite frightening or in some cases even
comical, but what we know for sure is that these events can be categorized as
examples of irony. Three short stories further elaborate on the power of irony:

Angels, one may think beauty, grace, sophistication, but Marquez introduces a
dirty, clumsy little man whom appears to be an angel sent from above. His pitiful
condition of a drenched great grandfather took away any sense of grandeur he
might have had, (Marquez 1) is how Marquez described him. This example of
irony crisply denotes judging a book by it s cover. Then, in addition to this, one
may believe the family that found the angel would be greatful. Then sadly the writer
must show the ungratefulness of the family who was brought prosperity by the
angel. With the money they saved they built a two story mansion with balconies and
gardens and high netting so the crabs wouldn t get in during the winter, and with
iron bars on the windows so that angels wouldn t get in, (Marquez 3) stated

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Economic Systems
An economic system defines how the various sectors of the economy interact. In
modern times, people have defined economic systems to include government
policies. In the olden days, economic systems were pretty simple, as people used
the trade by barter system which was very straight forward. There were few treaties
and almost no real rules of engagement. In this type of trade, you only exchanged
goods that you had for what you needed, or wanted. However, in modern monetary
economies, the setting is quite intricate. Huge established companies have a lot of
influence in the way business is done. Treaties and agreements are made every day,
and governments have made numerous laws to define trade, thus warranting the need
for a more comprehensive... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They do not have to produce what the government tells them to produce. This
freedom, creates competition which forces companies to create new products and
features. A good example of this is the cell phone market, as new phones are
released each year, as individuals create new ideas and new features for their
consumers, another advantage is that due to consumer driving decisions, it forces
the producer to meet the requirements or features required by the consumer as it
influences the price of the product (Educator, 2015). However, from the
advantages, a series of disadvantages occur. Businesses driven by a profit motive
may create a sense of danger for the business. This could be as a result of poor
working environment and unethical decisions may be taken by business owners to
try and gain some profit (Educator, 2015) . The market economy may also cause the
markets to crash as it happened to the United States during the great depression,
thereby creating a huge number of unemployed citizens which could lead to the
devastation of families (Educator, 2015).
Despite the effects of the depression and economic downturn in the early 2000s, the
USA continues to operate as a market economy (Educator,

Bayonet Essay
Bayonet The bayonet was originally a defensive weapon. Infantry standing two or
three deep, who adopted a square formation, could defend their position against a
cavalry charge. Bayonet charges were rarely attempted until the enemy was retreating.
Rifle A rifle was the weapon that was something that everyman got, it was
reasonably cheap to produce, reliable, accurate and easy to carry. British soldiers
were issued with the Lee Enfield 303, while most Germans received a 7.92mm
Mauser. Both of the rifles were highly durable and had good long range. But this
long range was largely wasted on the Western Front, where distances between

Mariano Case Study In Health Care

allergy issues, the nasal passages may drain into the throat area causing a sore throat
and congestion in the chest and possibly the nasal area when lying down. When
antibiotics are prescribed, it is to treat a bacterial infection not a viral infection. Even
though Mario is showing the classic symptoms where an antibiotic may be needed,
this might not be the case. Antibiotics are for bacterial infections. If a bacterial

Essay on Response to Savage Inequalities by Jonathan Kozol
Response to Savage Inequalities by Jonathan Kozol In Savage Inequalities, Jonathan
Kozol describes the conditions of several of America s public schools. Kozol visited
schools in neighborhoods and found that there was a wide disparity in the conditions
between the schools in the poorest inner city communities and schools in the
wealthier suburban communities. How can there be such huge differences within the
public school system of a country, which claims to provide equal opportunity for all?
It becomes obvious to Kozol that many poor children begin their young lives with an
educationthat is far inferior to that of the children who grow up in wealthier
communities. Savage Inequalities provides strong evidence of the national... Show

America. Towns close enough to easily integrate face almost total segregation with
abysmal conditions in the Black and/or Latino schools and tremendously good
resources in the white schools.
Although the statistics are more than 10 years out of date, the reality of America
school segregation has not changed. The barely functional buildings, lack of up to
date text books (or in many cases any text books), overcrowded classes, non
existent lab and computer equipment, and low paid teachers create a situation of
despair that leads to a drop out rate of more than 50% in many districts. And even
those who graduate are often barely literate. Kozol draws the clear link between
these schools and the imprisonment of the oppressed nations who, after dropping out
of a dead end education, end up locked behind bars.
The overt racism of this system is exposed when districts with little money run out of
space for their kids and try to rent empty space from wealthier districts. Those that
agree require the kids to stay entirely segregated from the white student body,
The Negative Effects of Steriods
Steroids
Many people use steroids from athletes and body builders to just every day ordinary
people trying to gain muscle. These users think they get a really big gain on other
people, but do they really? Are all these steroids risky to take? Can you die or be in
danger of being sick or seriously injured? Many of these users may use large doses
to get ahead of others by gaining more muscle quicker. Overall has the overuse of
these substances been the problem all along for the users?
Steroids are known to have many negative effects on the body. The body has over
50 major hormones. One hormone group is anabolic steroids effect muscle growth
and a male or females characteristics; this hormone is produced naturally; the
hormones in the body helps the body gain protein. (1c: SV; SV; SV.) One of the
major hormones in a male also is found in females is called testosterone. Testosterone
causes maturing in the males reproductive system in puberty the male user grows
more body hair, deeper voice, muscle growth and could make a user more
aggressive. Steroids improve endurance, strength, muscle mass, but it hasn t shown
that it improves skill, agility, or athletic performance. Athletes take steroids for the
testosterone effects. Steroids that you could find at a food store or gyms are now
illegal and now require a prescription to have.

Sustainable Development Goal Of Conserving Ocean And...
The majority of the targets for the Sustainable Development Goal of conserving
ocean and marine resources were measurable and can be attained through sensible
efforts and dedication. However, targets 14.1 and 14.2 were not as fully measurable
as others due to vague execution methods for addressing the issue in concern. To
further explain, target 14.1 has a measurable target of reducing pollution, but does not
further elaborate on how to do so. Furthermore, target 14.2 addresses the
measurable requirement to protect oceanic and marine ecosystems, yet the
approaches to solving the problem included strengthening their resilience, and
taking action... , which appear to sound vague and immeasurable (UNSDKP).
Therefore, a good approach to dealing with these issues is to educate and raise
awareness to the public about the harmful consequences of polluting the ocean.
Moreover, targets 14.3 and 14.4 were substantially more measurable and addressed
a direct, realistic solution to the issues. These targets discuss ocean acidification
and overfishing respectively, both being measurable since acidity levels and fish
population can be measured overtime. The direct solution to both issues is scientific
cooperation, where a scientific approach is most likely able to resolve these matters.
Likewise targets 14.5 and 14.6 are measurable because land area and subsidies can be
quantified. Target 14.7 is not only a measurable target, but also rewarding. Firstly,
economic benefits are measurable
King David And Palm 23
Palm 23 is a poem that is rich in history but also carries timeless advice that can and
should be carried into eternity. The poem s narrator is King David who formally
served as a humble shepherd. He references sheeps relationships with their shepherd
in order to share wisdom about following the Lord. Sheep have one job (besides
unconsciously growing wool) and that is to follow their shepherd and this parallels to
man s relationship with Godfor he is commanded to follow God and will be rewarded
for his obedience in doing so.
Psalm 23 is a view of a raw talk between David and God. David is the clear narrator
and he was vulnerable with the Lord about his dire need for him in fact throughout
the book of Psalm readers are given ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He did not shy away from the hard fact that life is hard and can be brutal beyond
words can express. But he claimed truth and authority over evil by calling out to
his shepherd and stating that he would be alright even during the darkest of times
because he knew God would be with him. Humans today should heed his advice
for our world really is dealing with hard things such as cancer, shootings, accidents
etc. just to name a few. Without God s help and presence mankind does not stand a
chance. Also much like a good shepherd knows what his sheep gets anxious about
God knows that about his people today too. He knows what makes each individual
smile, laugh, cry, and shake with terror. But because of His almighty power and
love for the world he promises to restore souls and calm anxious hearts. Man can find
comfort knowing that if Jesus Christ is His Lord and Savior he will go to Heaven
and no pain in this word can compare to what there is to look forward to.
The wisdom that King David shares in Psalm 23 will always be applicable. The
world dealt with the same struggles in Biblical times as people do now just in
different forms. David s advice to follow the Lord as a sheep would follow its
shepherd should be taken seriously and intentionally followed through with. It is
impossible to go through life and live it well without following the one who leads

School Board Meeting Research Paper
Abington School District Meeting I live in Abington School district, and I would
have attended Abington schools if I did not attend a charter school, so I was pleased
that it worked out that on April 11th I could attend a school board meeting there.
Because I had to work that night, I arrived twenty minutes late to the meeting, but my
father, who is a middle schoolband teacher in Phoenixville school district, went there
early to save me a seat and let me know what happened. The school district has been
featured on the news recently, so the board showed the clips. NBC10 and 6abc
Action News covered the Copper Beech Science Fair, and Temple University
Athletic Director Dr. Patrick Kraft and Head Football Coach Geoff Collins came to
hold a mock question and answer session with a sixth grade student and his
classmates, which was covered by 6abc Action news. The student had mailed them a
business letter that he created as part of a writing exercise. The high schoolin our
district is going to be renovated, and the district is going to borrow 90 million from
the township to do it. When I walked in the door a concerned citizen from the
township was not pleased with that amount, and had incorrectly... Show more content

It sounded like the board liked him. They went on to approve buying laptop carts
for several of the schools in the district, putting wireless in the schools, and
replacing outdated computers in the libraries. The district also approved a contract
for the bus drivers, and a representative was there to celebrate and thank the board.
Besides the concerned citizen he was the only person remotely close to a
stakeholder who was at the meeting. For the rest of the meeting the board approved
things that we had no access to. They only discussed the district s policy for about
three or four minutes, and it was only to approve a change in wording about

Functional And Product Matrix Structure
If I were on the Dynacorp task force I would suggest that it have a functional/product
matrix structure. I also suggest that it rely on Benchmarking, Change Management,
Balanced Scorecards and efficient CRM as its alignment mechanisms. Dynacorp has a
strong technical focus, targeting a very specific user base. It hit the market when the
consumers were anxious for products with high end technological capabilities and
innovative product engineering. This proved to be pivotal and a key catalyst for its
business and served as an effective market penetration strategy that enabled the
company to optimize revenue and profit for many years. However, such a success
was realized in the face of very little competition. As soon as the market started
offering comparable alternatives, profits started to decrease. Considering the fact that
technology is characterized by continuous evolution, short product development life
cycle, frequent version revisions and rapid changes in requirements, any single
organization structure alone will not suffice, and which is why the functional/product
matrix must be employed. The functional elements of the matrix will ensure that
sufficient domain knowledge is harnessed to fuel technological innovation needed for
Dynacorp to gain a strong competitive advantage. The shortcomings of the functional
approach will be balanced out by the product centric elements of the matrix. Linkage
across functions and across products is required for Dynacorp
The Effect Of Tsunami On Politics And Summer
Is there a connection, if not causality, between tsunami in politics and summer? No
one seems to have carefully studied the association or no one has bothered to post
their findings on google. My google search returned anything but this association. But
something must be there to explain as to why political activities reach their crescendo
in the warm season.
July appears to be the month of political turmoil across the world this year. Not every
turmoil has manifested in July, though. Some appeared before the month, but left
behind a trail of perilous aftereffects for July. Some occurred in this very month. All
of them have serious consequences, some for their countries and the wider world and
others largely for their respective countries. Some political convulsions will emerge in
the remaining days of this summer.
The most earthshaking tsunami has culminated in the United States. Started early this
year, the presidential primaries have reached their apex. The Republican Party has
coronated Donald Trump reportedly a nativist, xenophobic, Islamophobic,
Mexicophobic, and isolationist bigot and real estate tycoon with frequent records of
bankruptcies and bullying as its official candidate in its quadrennial convention in
Cleveland last week.
The United States and the world have much to fear of global economic and political
instability from the Manichean Donal Trump if he wins the presidential election in
November this year. Even the fear of a Third World War is being
A Comparison of Creating the Myth and Beauty and the...
Linda Seger s hero myth from her publication Creating the Myth is very thorough
in the steps involved in creating a hero of a story. All ten steps are very common to
a typical hero story. However, there are some gaps in her theory. An example of a
story that does not fit Seger s theory is the Disney version of the fairy taleBeauty and
the Beast. This popular cultural phenomenon has within it an atypical hero, one who
pokes holes in Seger s hero myth theory. This atypical hero, simply named Beast,
does not fit all ten of the steps in a typical hero story.
It is obvious that Beast does not fit Seger s theory the moment he is introduced in
the story. He described as a spoiled, selfish, and unkind prince [with] no love in his ...

Seger states that in fairy tales an old woman, a dwarf, a witch, or a wizard helps
the hero . . . The hero achieves the goal because of this help, and because the hero
is receptive to what this person has to give (173). Conversely, Beast is helped by
the very damsel he imprisons. Belle is a normal woman, not a witch or a wizard;
she has no special powers and is not old or dwarfish in any way. Also, Beast is
extremely reluctant to accept any help from her. In the Disney version of the story,
Belle tries to teach Beast how to control his temper and be more compassionate and
loving. Beast is not receptive at all to this help throughout the story, but still
manages to defeat the curse left on him by a self revelation. He decides after Belle s
departure from his castle to learn to love and be kindhearted. Although her help may
have had an impact on his transformation, it was the mere presence of her and his
own self conscience that ultimately helped him conquer his relentless curse. This is
quite different from what Seger illustrates in her hero myth theory.
Furthermore, the sixth through the eighth steps in Seger s hero theory do not apply
to Beast s situation in Beauty and the Beast. In these steps, according the Seger, the
hero
begins all his tests and obstacles necessary to overcome evil . . . In
Postmodern Influence On Revelations
The first model proclaims that revelation only conspires in scripture and doctrines
of the church. These statements were greatly active in the Roman Orthodox, which
is set that those Holy Spirit powers were given due their time. Contradicting, these
models did show the grace of God in past times, it fails to show postmodern views
in which revelation has occurred in today s society. The second contends on an idea
of studying history, that will convey a form in revelation in due time. History does
repeat itself in many cases, though it does not hinder any spiritual guidance. Learning
from history will draw people more close to the word, though revelation could happen
when Godwants it. For example of John, when he was cast to Patmos, while if
Kevlar Leather Jacket Pros And Cons
Introduction
In the decades since I first climbed on top of a motorcycle, I have seen a lot of
changes. Riding partners have come and gone, laws have evolved, and the public s
perception of bikers has, thankfully, improved. The biking community is in a state of
perpetual change, just like the world around it, but one thing remains constant:
leather jackets. Both stylish and secure, leather has been relied upon by bikers
throughout history to keep them safe from the elements and protect them during falls
and crashes.
The leather jacket is as synonymous with motorcycles as two wheels and an engine,
but an increasing number of bikers are leaving behind their leather jackets in favor of
alternatives of a different material, such as mesh or Kevlar. Some readers may be
unfamiliar with the latter, which hasn t received as much publicity as some other
protective materials, but if Kevlar motorcycle jackets can gain global attention, it is
quite possible they can dethrone their leather opponents.
But what exactly does a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Leather jackets tend to offer very poor ventilation, even when they are fitted with
mesh vents. If you live in a cold climate, this likely won t be a problem, but those
who attempt to ride in a leather motorcycle jacket during warmer months will be
putting themselves at risk of heat stroke.
Cruel
As the world becomes increasingly more mindful, the cruelty associated with leather
jackets becomes a bigger and bigger problem. Leather, as most of us know but do our
best to ignore, is made from the skin of animals, most commonly cows. Killing
animals for the sake of clothing is, admittedly, pretty horrendous, and many animal
loving bikers have moved on to textile motorcycle jackets while actively campaigning
against leather protective equipment.

The Industrial Revolution Of The Middle Class Essay
As the Industrial Revolution brought a rise of the middle class, a mass participation
in the market emerged, thus a new system of trade was required. The concept of
active buying was therefore transformed and passive shopping became the future. The
new ways to shop became a revolution in itself, contributing to all aspects of
consumerism, mass production and industrialisation in society. Defined by the
Oxford Dictionary, consumerism is the protection or promotion of the interests of
consumers. The initial concern for building sales and providing ease for shoppers
employed by department stores allowed the ability to develop a system of promotion.
By applying a range of key methods concerning payment, customer service, target
audiences, the atmosphere, and visual merchandise, businesses have been enabled to
rapidly increase their sales since the introduction of the department store. Hence came
a new model of consumerism, of which is still relevant in department stores to this
day.
Before the giant emporiums of the early department stores were introduced and
window shopping was born, the consumer experience was far more direct in terms
of purchasing goods. Shops and stalls would sell only one specific type of product
or focus on a single service. For example, one would not typically find shoes in a
store that specialises in selling homewares. This was originally designed for ease of
the experience between both the merchant and the consumer. The merchants and
craftsmen would
Korean War Effects
When the Korean War began, the world was suffering from the aftermath of the
World War II and was just getting into the Cold War. During the Cold War era, the
Korean War broke out on the Korean peninsula as a result of the tensions between
communism and capitalism.
Despite Korea s long history and unique culture, it changed hands multiple times. It
was, at first, a state belonging to China but then was annexed by Japan in 1910.
After the Japanese had won in that war, Japan reinforced its influence in Korea and
formally annexed it as a colony in 1910.
During World War II, the Allied countries met to discuss what would happen to
Korea in the postwar period. In 1943, The People s Republic of China, the United
States, and Great Britain decided that once Japan is defeated, all of its colonies,
including Korea, will be confiscated. As the war ended in 1945, two American
colonels, Dean Rusk and Charles H. Bonesteel III, proposed General Order No. 1,
which instructed Japanese forces to surrender to its designated Allied commanders.
The U.S. would take responsibility for accepting the surrender of Japanese troops
south of the 38th parallel and Soviet troops would receive the surrender north of
38th parallel. The U.S. had control of Seoul, the Han River Valley, and Korea s
scarce arable land. The Soviets took Korea s industrial heartland, gold and ... Show

Miscommunication At School For The Homework
Everybody has gone through that worry when you are not sure what the teacher is

another part that has no clue. You want to ask them to clarify but you re too scared
to raise your hand because in your mind everybody will think you are dumb and

ask for clarification and have the teacher repeat the steps and say you finally

ripping your hair out and almost in tears fearing you are going to do something
wrong and get a bad grade on the assignment or not even turn it in. There is always
going to be some type of miscommunication at school for the homework or by the

What Is The Forced Nature Of Assimilation
In her short story collection, Interpreter of Maladies, Jhumpa Lahiri depicts various
scenarios of Indian immigrants moving to and living in the United States. A
particularly salient theme discussed throughout is the issue of assimilation vs.
integration. Though the terms are often considered interchangeable, in this book
assimilation argues for adoption of American culture. Conversely, integration
advocates for the coexistence of foreign and American customs and allows
immigrants to establish a sense of home away from their original countries. The story
entitled, The Third and Final Continent specifically recounts a young Indian man s
experience trying to establish himself in Cambridge, Massachusetts after living in
London. Prior to his immigration, the narrator had his marriage arranged by his
family in Calcutta, and much of the story illustrates the narrator s apprehension for
his wife, Mala s arrival from India. Recognizing that food is a significant aspect of
most cultures, Lahiri uses it as a motif to indicate the transformation of the narrator s
cultural status in the United States. Through food, she ultimately asserts the
possibility of positive integration, rather than just assimilation, into American society.
Lahiri demonstrates the forced nature of assimilation through the narrator s
relationship with American food. When the narrator first arrives in Cambridge and
checks in at the YMCA, he notices a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Greek mythology was an ancient, polytheistic religion in Greece, meaning it was a
belief based on many gods and goddesses. It is often referred to as unrealistic and
nonfiction because these stories of their gods and goddesses are considered myths
, which are traditional stories that are usually false. However, there are many gods
and goddesses that share their own individual importance to their culture and
Greece itself. These supernatural figures often play a significant role in the
afterlife, love, and other everyday activities. The god of the dead and the afterlife
of those less fortunate is known as Hades. Hades is the ruler of the underworld and

Hades is the older brother of Zeus and also the brother of Poseidon, Demeter, Hera

his daughters, in which he chose Persephone. Persephone was against the marriage,
therefore Hades abducted her. When Demeter found out that Hades had Persephone
she had forced Zeus to get her back, however since she had tasted the pomegranate

Infants And Toddlers Essay
Infants When babies are less than 2 months old, they spend most of their time
sleeping (up to 16 hours a day) or eating. They can turn their heads and focus on
people s faces, but have a hard time with head control. Crying is main way of
expression, and they cannot tell the difference between family and strangers.
Infants between 2 and 6 months old have a strong sucking reflect, active extremity
movement, and a strong cry. They will use their hands to examine the world.
Infants between 6 and 12 months old start learning to speak. They can sit, crawl,
and begin to walk. There is a risk of foreign bodies entering through their mouth.
They are also not afraid of strangers. Assessing infants should be done with the
parents holding or close to the baby. Toddler Toddlers can walk and explore. They
are not afraid, so injuries are common. They will begin to speak. Toddlers may not
like to be restrained during assessments. Crying may not indicate injury, and it may
be a good idea to give them their toy during assessments. Preschool Kids 3 to 6 years

(2016) reported that these three components constituted the majority (75%) of the
outpatient expenditure. On average, patients who received only outpatient care
spent 1,135 Chinese yuan upon completion of TB treatment. However, the cost was
ten times higher for the patients who received both outpatient and inpatient care (up
to 11,117 Chinese yuan)[23]. Hu et al. (2016) found that the average inpatient cost
in six counties of Jiangsu and Shanxi provinces ranged from 3678 to 7215 Chinese
yuan, with the average length of stay ranging from 12 to 22 days. The average
medical costs for TB inpatients in two counties (7,215 and 4,644 yuan) even
exceeded the NCMS reimbursable limits in the two counties (5,500 yuan and 3,800
yuan) respectively [24].
Catastrophic health expenditure
Studies often used the catastrophic health expenditure (CHE) to measure the financial
burden of TB treatment. They either used household income measurement, i.e., total
OPP as a percent of household income exceeding 10%; or household capacity to
payment measurement, i.e., percent of OPP exceeding 40% of the non food
expenditure. Chen et al. (2015) found that, more than half of the TB patients suffered
from catastrophic health expenditure (CHE), using household income measurement,
in nine counties of three cities of three provinces, where the integrated model was
the main model for service delivery [25]. The authors defined total OPP as the sum
of direct medical and direct non medical cost and
Historical And Medical Background Of Agnosia
Historical and Medical Background of Agnosia
Agnosia is a rare neurological disorder that affects one s capability to recognize
people or objects based on the affected sense (Coslett, 2007; National Institute of
Neurological Disorders and Stroke, 2014). There are three observed types of agnosia:
Visual, Auditory, and Tactile (Coslett, 2007; Marotta Behrmann 2002). Visual agnosia
is the most common type because the brain devotes the most energy and resources to
visual processing than processing of any of the other senses (Coslett, 2007). Since it
is the most common, and therefore has the most research available, visual agnosia
will be the primary focus of this paper.
Sigmund Freud coined the term agnosia which means without knowledge and
although the term stands today, it is now known that those with agnosia actually have
knowledge of what they are seeing but do not have the ability to connect perception
to knowledge. As Marotta and Behrmann observed in two case studies, those with
visual agnosia are able to identify and recognize object through sound, touch or a
description of function or appearance (Marotta Behrmann, 2002; Coslett, 2007),
proving that knowledge of the object is present.
Heinrich Lissauer, a German neurologist, divided visual agnosia into two
subcategories: apperceptive and associative agnosia. Apperceptive agnosia is when a
perceptual representation cannot even be derived from vision, meaning everything
can be seen, the visual acuity and physical
Liberty And Paternalism Essay
LIBERTY AND PATERNALISM
John Stuart Mill and Gerald Dworkin have distinctly opposing views on legal
paternalism in that Mill is adamantly against any form of paternalism, whereas
Dworkin believes that there do exist circumstances in which paternalism is justified.
Both agree that paternalism is justified when the well being of another person is
violated or put at risk. Mill takes on a utilitarian argument, explaining that allowing
an individual to exercise his freedom of free choice is more beneficial to society
than deciding for him what is in his best interests. Dworkin, on the other hand, feels
that certain cases require the intervention of either society as a whole or its individual
members. He breaks ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A large part to this justification is the idea of future oriented consent, the concept
that once the child grows up and realizes the consequences of his chasing the ball,
he will agree that the interference of an outsider was justified. Another example for
which this concept can be applied is the matter of seat belts. The question of
whether or not a person should be punished for not wearing a seat belt, I believe,
can be answered by comparing it to the previous example. If a person were to be
involved in a car accident and be seriously injured because he was not wearing a
seat belt, he would come to the realization that he should have been wearing it. At
this point, he will realize that his personal health is worth the inconvenience of
putting on his seat belt. The fact that any logical, rational person will come to this
realization justifies the interference of an outside party, the government in this
example. If this person does not realize that his health and his life is worth putting
on a seat belt, it is safe to say that this person is illogical and irrational. If this is the
case, a decision can be forced upon him for his own well being; the same way that it
would be for a child for the same reasons. One opposition to this reasoning is that an
adult differs from a child in that it is presumed that the adult can understand the
consequences of his action

to compensate for carrying higher risk).
Banks became increasingly worried about both the value of their own mortgage books
and particularly the value of the mortgage securitised investments they had bought
from other institutions As a result they became reluctant to lend to other banks in the
short term money markets. This crisis of confidence led to major liquidity problems
for many banks and insurance companies worldwide. Liquidity means the ability of
institutions, including banks, to meet their short term obligations including
repayment of short term loans.
The oil price eventually peaked at $147 per barrel in mid 2008.
How did the crisis develop during 2008?
The Bank of England had to provide financial support to the Northern Rock
Building Society in the latter part of 2007, to prevent a run on the society s cash by
depositors. It became necessary to formally nationalise Northern Rock in February
2008 (i.e. the Government became its major shareholder, having used taxpayers
money to support it). Early in 2008 a major US investment bank, Bear Stearns, had
to be rescued by J.P. Morgan with US Government support. The crisis deepened in
the summer of 2008 and on the 7th September 2008, two
major US mortgage finance operations, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac,
In the Year 2025
The wind blew with a vengeance that night. It entered every window frame and
crevice of the old farmhouse. The rickety, rotting boards, that held the sad excuse
for a house together, seemed to sing an unbearably heartrending song as they
creaked, and the bone chilling wind crept into the house, numbing our stiff bodies.
All four of us were huddled together by the somewhat functioning fireplace in the
old abandoned farm house. We had been on the run for four days. Our parents,
friends and family were all most likely dead. We had witnessed many of our loved
ones being slaughtered; we had seen there blood smeared on our home walls, as
the law enforcements carried out their orders to eliminate half of America s
population. It is the year 2025 and we were hiding somewhere on the outskirts of
St. Louis Missouri. America, the land of the free, America, my home sweet home,
America, One Nation indivisible under God, had become corrupted, poisoned and
deteriorating. No longer was it a free country, nor were we a free people. We were
not free to live, or even attempt to preserve our life. We were accidents. We were
wasted pieces of space, who were taking up too much space. I would however,
gladly take my old life back despite its hardships, just to see my family again. I
would live through anything just to see there faces alive. But I know the only time I
ll see their faces will be in my nightmares, reliving the day the soldiers came and put
a bullet in my mother s heart, a bullet in
Pat Frank’s Alas Babylon
* In The End, It Is Our Defiance That Redeems Us. Mark Rowland*
To the world you may be just another person, but to one person you may just be the
world (Snyder, ThinkExist.com). In Pat Frank s book, Alas Babylon, Randy Bragg
is no one of importance. He is failed politician that lives off his family s land in a
small town, Fort Repose, in Florida. But For this small town lawyer everything was
about to change. The United States had been on edge of Nuclear Warfarewith Russia
for years. Frank writes on about how one man, Randy Bragg, redeems himself from
a failed politician to a somewhat of a town hero (Frank).

alliance of people that included Lib and Bill McGovern, Doctor Dan Gunn, Alice
and her friend Florence Wechek, Sam Hazzard, along with Preacher and his family.
Electricity lines and water supplies have been cut off throughout the town, due to
the bombings. Randy soon discovers a way to restore running water to his own
house and soon adds it to those houses in his small community of people that were
also without running water. Throughout these trying times this newly found
community comes together and learns to means of survival by sharing and
providing for one another (Frank). They could not hope of surviving this blackout
without the support of on another after all the struggle, for those who survived The

doing somewhat well others throughout the town had not taken the throwback of a

William Shakespeare Authorship Essay
Shakespeare was a famous poet and playwright who wrote over thirty plays that are
still wildly popular today. Although it is widely accepted that William Shakespeare
wrote his own material, there are many people who believe that he was not the true
author of the works attributed to him. Arguments against Shakespeare s authorship
range from people believing that it was all a political cover up, and that there isn t
enough factual evidence to come to the conclusion that Shakespeare truly did write
his own work, to the conclusion that there are faults in the Oxfordian Theory of
Shakespeare Authorship. Ultimately, the most valid evidence supports that
Shakespeare is in fact the author of the most famous plays and sonnets of all time.
Although there is not an exact day for William Shakespeare s birth, his birthday can
roughly be placed around April in 1564.He grew up in Stratford upon Avon,
located near London, and he was the oldest of his siblings. Shakespeare had a Latin
education as a kid, because as the son of a leading Stratford citizen, he almost
certainly attended Stratford s grammar school. Like all such schools, its curriculum
consisted of an intense emphasis on the Latin classics (Folger Shakespeare Library,
2017). Following his Latin School background, it is not known how he got his start
in theatre, but in 1592 the first mention of Shakespeare was released, and he was
known as an established London actor and playwright, mocked by a contemporary as

The Tennis Court Oath. I m overjoyed that the third estate is forming a constitution
that will limit our hoggish king s power over the third estate. The intolerable taxes

monarchy had brought on her. I could not take the risk of joining the protest with the
other Parisians because of the endangerment from the guards encircling the palace
under their command. Returning from Versailles, Barrett had told me that the loyal
Paris Guards had joined them in their dispute for bread. I am astounded by the news

The Lovers 2 By Rene Magritte
Rene Magritte is an artist known for his contributions to the surrealist art
movement of the 1920 s. Working with other surrealist artists, such as Salvador
Dali, through the late 1920 s and early 1930 s, Magritte s style was comparably
dark to the styles of others. However, while taking a brief hiatus, Magritte began to
receive recognition for his works just as world war II began, which resulted in a
much brighter take on surrealism in dark times. Yet, his works The Lovers I and
The Lovers II were both painted before Magritte s rise to fame and reforms as a
surrealist artist, both depict a couple with white sheets obscuring their faces. The
piece The Lovers I uses contrast, color, framing, and subject matter in order to

The death of Magritte s mother may have contributed to his use of white cloth over
a face, but the painting serves no further purpose other than to create a feeling of
mystery. Famous for his unsettling images and their abstruseness, Magritte made
these feelings his main goal and ensured through the simplicity of the elements that
compose his painting that little else will be discovered, leaving the entire work a
mystery. It was Magritte himself who said: My painting is visible images which
conceal nothing... they evoke mystery and indeed when one sees one of my
pictures, one asks oneself this simple question What does that mean ? It does not
mean anything, because mystery means nothing either, it is unknowable. Magritte s
works such as The Lovers I are works whose purpose is to evoke an ominous feeling
in the viewer, and in creating this feeling of mystery are paradoxical, as mystery
itself is a
Lord Of The Flies Chapter 1 Analysis
The crying gradually died down. The tears step by step floated into abandoned
wheezes, hiccups, and sneezes. Before long just a couple of littluns remained
sneezing, rubbing their running noses with the back of their grimy hands. Hush at
that point set over the island, the thundering of the irate fire apparently quieted out
of sight as the young men held up, breathing shoddily. There was a respite lastly the
man the adult swung back to confront the nasty nosed, puffy peered toward
youngsters. They looked at him with wide, red, tearstained eyes. The maritime

The Naval officer picked three littluns who looked both totally frightened and
assuaged. The individuals who remained looked as the watercraft left the shore,
delicately bouncing with the waves. Nobody addressed each other; nobody took a
gander at each other. They remained with their backs to the consuming backwoods.
The officer came back with another watercraft and officer, and six children floated
off towards the security and assurance of the outside world. It proceeded with like
that until the point when just three remained. The twins sat off to the side, not
setting out to gaze toward Ralph as they sat tight for the last watercraft to return.
The sun was setting, and the fire still crackled fiercely out of sight. Ralph sat with
his head on his knees, confronting the water and looking as the impression of the
fire moved over the surface. His eyes checked the shoreline and he saw the place
he had first blown the conch and called the gathering. That helped him to remember
Piggy and he immediately dismissed, looking down at the sand. It got his attention
as effectively as it had some time recently, this time helped with the impression of
the fire out of sight. He bounced for it, startling Samneric behind him, and started
burrowing at the sand. A little while later, the pale shell started to show up. He
pulled at it, pulling it free from the sand, and gazing at it in wonder. Indirectly he
could recall Piggy s words. a conch; costly. Ralph gazed at the
The Current Water Usage Of The Refugee Settlement Essay
The Zambian Refugee Settlement in Mayukwayukwa, which established by the
United Nations in 1966, currently has no system for harvesting rain water or for
storing water in bulk. Zambia has a monsoonal climate thus it receives all of its
rain water in one small section of the year and is dry and arid for the rest. This
review will focus specifically on the water usage of the refugee settlement. This
area of research will prove to be invaluable for the specifications of the water
harvesting and bulk storage system as it will be the basis for which the required
volumes of water are calculated. The development of the Mayukwayukwa settlement
will be stunted if they do not have access to sufficient amounts of water for the
refugees who live there or for the crops and animals. The objectives of this paper are
to assess the current water usage of the Mayukwayukwa Refugee Settlement and to
predict what the minimum volume is that will meet their basic requirements. The
questions that I intend to answer are: What is the current water usage of the refugee
settlement in Mayukwayukwa? What is the minimum volume that will meet the
basic requirements of the people in the refugee settlement? An accurate data set of
water usage of the Refugee Settlement in Mayukwayukwa is impossible to find as
there have been no previous attempts to measure it for any reason. The total water
usage of the Mayukwayukwa Refugee Settlement is 64,240,000 Litres/Year. This total

What Is The Example Of Injustice Anywhere Is Injustice...
I believe that the saying injustice anywhere is injustice everywhere means that no
matter how much unfairness is in some situations, they always can escalate and
become more severe than actually intended to be.
A modern example of the quote to defend Dr. King s claim would be the Black
Lives Matter protest. It all began with a young man named Trayvon Martin, from
Miami Gardens, Florida who was fatally shot by police. The reason the matter was so
devastating in the African Americancommunity is because Martin was mistaken to
have a weapon when during the time when he was actually reaching a bag of Skittles
and a can of Arizona iced tea from his backpack. This attention of an innocent 17 year
old s death sparked the nation and the beginning of the Black Lives Matter movement.
Another tragic killing that caught the attention of the movement was Michael
Brown s death in 2014, who was also killed by police in Missouri. Brown, like Martin
was also unarmed when he was killed. Brown and a friend of his named Dorian
Johnson, where stopped and were asked to stand on the sidewalk and soon after
Brown was encountered by the officer he began to enforce physical ... Show more

contact again with Garner. This time Garner had a friend with him that not only
witnessed the attack with their eyes, but had video of the attack on their cell
phone. Garner was soon surrounded by the two officers and placed in a chokehold
position. During the time it was reported that Garner had asked the officer for air
11 times before dying. He was then placed in the van and driven to the emergency
room, where it was already too late. Garner had died of the injuries in the police
Police Subculture Research Paper
The Thin Blue Line of Sub culture Police officers everyday are involved in their own
sub culture, which shapes their behaviour and attitude towards society. This sub
culture is made through the bond shared through serving the community and looking
out for one another day in and day out while performing his/her duties as law
enforcement officers. Sticking together allows them to conquer their battles against
any hardships or crisis situations faced in their day to day agenda. The us versus them
mentality, which policeofficers have been labeled with raises suspicion on how law
enforcement officers truly feel about the sub culture and the community, which they
serve. Every day officers are subjected to seeing brutal crisis situations, which... Show

This term relates to police officers refusing to come forward when he/she knows
there is an officer partaking in an ethical or criminal matter (Pollock, 2015). The
police subculture has such a strong grip on individual officers because of the cop
code and not giving up other officers. When a police officer decides to inform a
supervisor of police misconduct often threats and retaliation occurs to that officer
(Pollock, 2015). Many reported incidence when an officer does come forward it
shows there is a lot more officer misconduct then people are aware. Police officers
will lie to one s supervisor, and will attempt to cover up another officer s
misconduct (Pollock, 2015). Things like police subculture and the blue curtain of
secrecy mask the misconduct within a police agency. Doing this specifically would
show how an officer is more likely to back up his/her fellow officer then do what it
right for his/her community. Because of this we can conclude police officers are
cynical towards one s community, in result of police
Greek Gods And Goddesses ( Immortals )
Have you ever wondered how many greek gods and goddesses(immortals) there
really are or about how they came to be? It is a fact that there are over 60 of
them, but the twelve major ones are called the olympians. Most people have probably
heard of them at some point in time. Not only are there immortal gods and goddesses,
but also there are mortals(half bloods) that became immortal because of something
they did.
The first two immortals were hera and zeus they were also brother and sister.Their
mother was rhea and their father was cronus. Both parents were titans and it is said
that cronus swallowed his children because he had been told that one of his
descendants would dethrone him one day rhea hid zeus away until he was old enough

Many of the other immortals Zeus, hera, poseidon, demeter, athena, apollo, artemis,
ares, aphrodite, hephaestus, hades and hestia, or dionysus are pretty much the ones
that started the whole thing. Them being the twelve olympians, they are the highest of
all the other gods and goddesses. That being said hades, heracles, persephone,
asclepius, eros, and hebe are also major gods and goddesses, but are not included
with the twelve. Some believe that the reason for this is because they don t live
with the olympians for example hades and persephone live in the underworld. The
geeks really thought of everything when they thought of what each god or
goddess would rule over, and what their children would rule over. They must have
studied about their gods and goddesses quit a bit in order to make it this
complicated. A few of the major immortals and what they ruled over are,Apollo god
of the Sun, Music, Medicine, Archery, and Prophesy, Artemis goddess of the Hunt,
and Moon, and Hermes god of Travelers, Thieves, Wanderers, Tricksters, and
Messengers. Some of the minor immortals and what they ruled over are, Hecate
goddess of Witchcraft, Doorways, and Crossways, Iris goddess of the rainbow, and
Hebe minor goddess of Youth.
There are many different myths about the major gods and goddesses. One such myth
is about apollo, in this story it says that he had killed a creature with
Private Military Contractors In The Middle East
Throughout the Middle East, the use of private military contractors has significantly
heightened, due to the call of attacks in these countries. PMC s take up much cost
for a country to fund, and the increasing rates are bringing drawbacks onto working
citizens. However, there PMC s are also vital in order for a country to maintain its
armed security forces. On the other hand, mercenaries are people who take part in
armed conflicts. The PMC s hire these mercenaries to work under them in helping
take part in hostilities, but receive benefits for their own gains. Recently, the United
Nations MercenaryConvention (UNMC) has placed restrictions upon PMC s in the
use of mercenaries, in order to create specifications between commercial and
government uses of these protection services. Sweden has very little support and
funds for the use of these PMC s, due to the lack of high military activity.
Current Issues: In the Middle East, and other countries active in their military uses,
are raising high questions of controversy against whether or not PMC s should be
implemented at an international scale. After these countries in the middle east have
been hit with attacks, there has been thought on how to promote entrusted security
for the countries. However, the use of these PMC s can lead to security faults in
diplomatic officials, and can cause unstable regions throughout a country as we have
seen happen in Libya in 2012. On the contrary, PMC s can be ideal in post war

Essay On Mobile Technology. Use of mobile essay. Mobile Phone Essay for Students and Children in ...

  • 1. Essay On Mobile Technology Writing an essay on the topic of mobile technology can be both challenging and intriguing. On one hand, the subject is vast and ever-evolving, with constant technological advancements and innovations. This dynamic nature makes it difficult to capture a comprehensive overview without the risk of information becoming quickly outdated. Furthermore, addressing the multifaceted aspects of mobile technology requires a balanced approach. The essay must delve into the historical development of mobile devices, explore the impact of mobile technology on communication, business, and daily life, and analyze the societal implications, including privacy concerns and ethical considerations. One must navigate through a sea of technical jargon, ensuring that the content remains accessible to a diverse audience. Striking the right balance between technical details and layman's terms can be a daunting task, as the aim is not just to showcase knowledge but also to communicate effectively. Moreover, the challenge lies in synthesizing information from various sources, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of data. Given the rapid pace of technological changes, it's crucial to stay updated with the latest developments to provide a nuanced perspective. Crafting a compelling introduction that captures the reader's attention, followed by a well- structured body that presents a logical flow of ideas, requires careful planning and organization. Concluding the essay with insightful reflections on the future of mobile technology adds an extra layer of complexity, demanding foresight and speculative analysis. In conclusion, writing an essay on mobile technology demands a blend of technical expertise, research skills, and the ability to convey complex concepts in a comprehensible manner. It is a task that requires dedication, diligence, and a commitment to keeping abreast of the latest advancements. • 2. Money Laundering Essay According to the U.S. Department of Justice, money laundering is the process by which one conceals the existence, illegal source, or illegal application of income and then disguises that income to make it appear legitimate. Money laundering involves a three step process which includes placement, layering and integration (Albrecht et al, 2009). Placement is the first step and it includes the launderer opening up an account at a bank or some other type of financial business to make deposits with the illegal money. The placement step is often looked at as the most risk taking step because the launderer does not know the reaction of the bank and how they are going to accept a large cash deposit. If the deposit is too large the bank can... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Money Laundering According to Hopton (2009), the Bank Secrecy Act of 1970 was created in order to prevent money laundering. The act was made to try to discourage illegal acts such as money laundering from happening and to deter the criminals from even thinking about committing the crime. Woods (1998) stated that money laundering was not a criminal offense at the time the Bank Secrecy Act was passed. The act provides information on the movement of money through financial institutions in the United States and it monitors the movement of money into and out of the United States. It requires banks and other financial businesses to help the government in trying to prevent and detect money laundering. The federal government law enforcement agencies use the information gathered through the Bank Secrecy Act to detect criminal activities and regulatory violations. These businesses are required to keep track of all of their cash transactions of ten thousand dollars and more and report them to the IRS within forty five days. These transactions could include anything such as deposits, withdrawals, exchanges, payments, multiple transactions in one day and any cash deposits over the weekend or holidays (Woods, 1998). They also have to identify individuals who are requesting these large transactions and keep any records that relate to their transactions.
  • 3. Delegation in Nursing A Discussion of Various Perspectives on Delegation in Nursing Jessica Abbott University of Central Florida ABSTRACT: Delegation refers to the practice of a registered nurse assigning certain tasks and activities to other people while still maintaining responsibility for the actions of the others to whom responsibility has been delegated. The act of delegating assumes that the delegator has a certain amount of trust in the person to whom they delegate. Additionally, quality communication is paramount in maintaining superior patient care when delegating tasks to others. One signifigant obstacle to delegation is ensuring that the proper tasks are delegated to the appropriate individuals. The organizational structure and leadership... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Resha s qualms about the particularities of the implementation of delegation don t detract from her general support for the practice of delegation as such. Statement of Counter View The main argument against the practice of delegating nursing responsibilities is that organizational structures often fail to ensure that the people receiving the delegated responsibilities are qualified to accept the delegation. Resha (2010) discussed this to some extent, but believed that the practice on the whole was worthy. However, it could be argued that by its very nature, delegation creates a discrepancy between the person performing a nursing action and the person responsible for that action. This could have negative consequences on quality of care, because if a nurse isn t responsible for her own actions, then she may perform her role less effectively than she would if she had to take responsibility for her performance. As Reising and Allen (2007) write, delegation may be encouraged as a way to decrease costs and deal with low staffing levels, but it can also put the organization at increased risk for law suits if carried out improperly. Both aspects of this warning are instructive. First, Reising and Allen seem to suggest that delegation primarily emerges as a result of practical considerations
  • 4. Music And Its Effects On Children Parents also serve as a blockade when it comes to the subject of music. Parents are very cautious and get very defensive of what their children listen to. Parents block children from hearing the truth or prevent their child from seeing how an artist expresses themselves, because of a few raunchy lyrics and profanity? I often listen to music on my iPhone, but since Apple launched its Apple Music project, my music only plays in the edited or clean version, which is very annoying. I am a huge Future fan and on his recent album, Dirty Sprite 2, it s the cursewords that really build the song. The profanity really makes the album sizzle and paints the image of and blends the album together so perfectly. Music is a form or art, who are you to... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... What should or not be accepted because of the way it sounds. People who are stuck to one particular sound will judge someone else because they do not like that sound and therefore, it may suck or not sound good to them. They are often lacking the capability to realize that artist create for themselves and often use music to fuel their emotions and energy. It is often taken for granted and we just do not appreciate what the artist does. We typecast music and allow genres to dictate us, so if we hear something of a different genre, we may not like it and judge the whole genre because of that one song. One song or sound does not represent a whole genre of music and will not determine if you will or will not a single song of that genre. We live in a generation, a society or in other and more relative words, a matrix where we are comfortable with the same sound and same thing over and over. We do not want anything to change about the things we like and do, because that s what we feel in love with. As a collective, we are often stuck in our ways and become base. People are afraid to try new things and step out their comfort zone. People often do not try to find comfort in other things or something new and we stick to the routine of our matrix and move to the same beat of that drum that we love so much. How can we benefit or fix our music matrix, when there are a few artists
  • 5. Different Forms Of Co Teaching Lauren Dursky and I decided that we would implement different forms of co teaching for different subjects. It did not seem efficient to use the same method for each subject, so we decided to vary the instruction. For math, we decided to use station teaching. This allows students to discover a true understanding of each concept through different activities. This style of co teachingalso allows each teacher to incorporate his or her own unique perspective into the classroom. This style could be challenging for math because it requires extra planning and you have to make sure both teachers are teaching similar methods at the same time so movement from one station to the next is smooth. We then decided to use the teaming method for history. The teaming method allows both teachers to present their own views to the class and bounce ideas off of each other (The Power of 2, 2005). Instead of using textbooks to teach history, we decided to take a concept and explore its significance through events and debates. We would start off by each presenting a different point of view on a single event and have students divide into two groups based on their initial thoughts. Each teacher would then lead their portion of the class through research and constructing a debate. After a couple days spent learning about the situation and preparing an argument, the two halves of the class would debate. For language arts we decided to use the parallel teaching method. This method allows for small
  • 6. Operations Management Essay Journal 2 1. It has been said that forecasting using exponential smoothing is like driving a car by looking in the rear view mirror. What are the conditions that would have to exist for driving a car that are analogous to the assumptions made when using exponential smoothing? When driving a car, everyone knows where one should be looking. Straight ahead most of the time and with some side glances from time to time. An occasional glance into the rear view mirror is recommended. Any quantitative forecasting method always uses historical data to make forecasts. Exponential smoothing is a method used in forecasting to eliminate the effect of any random deviations in the data trend. Also, like any forecasting method, it assumes that the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... But even this is not possible in case of a new product or innovation. A forecast of sales, demand, cash, requirements and several such business valuables are extremely essential for a business in order to be able to appropriately plan and conduct its operations in an effective and efficient manner. Yet, forecasts cannot be made accurately as there are several factors and changes in the current environment that leads to variations in forecasts and impacts or causes a manager to make changes in the forecasts. 3. When a new business is started, or a patent idea needs funding, venture capitalists or investment bankers will want to see a business plan that includes forecast information related to a profit and loss statement. What type of forecasting information do you suppose would be required? Whenever a business plan is made for funding, the purpose is to sell a product or service that already exists in the market and is different from that trying to market an invention. In any profit and loss statement, the difficult part is the profit part or actual revenue stream. The costs part is easy to estimate in both cases. In the first case, there will be historical data available from the existing market players while in the second case, the investor should be able to estimate what share of the market that one expects to capture. This would be either from the existing market players, or from the excess unfulfilled demand that may exist in the market. If grabbing the market
  • 7. One Name Two Fates And The Other Wes Moore People make decisions everyday without knowing the consequences from them. The Other Wes Moore One Name Two Fates written by Wes Moore is a memoir that explains how your future can be determined by the choices you make in your life. Both Wes Moore`s grew up without their fathers. Wes Moore(the author) grew up fatherless because his father had passed away from an allergic reaction that affected the epiglottis that caused him to suffocate. Likewise, The other Wes Moore grew up not really knowing his father. Both of their mothers were always working so hard to make sure their families were stable, but Mary(the other wes moore s mother`s) chances lessened when her Pell Grant was taken away from her so she was unable to complete her education at Johns Hopkins University. Eventually wes(the author) started to go to school irregularly. Wes was in a constant reminder that he was much poorer than the kids at his school. So wes would go back to his old neighborhood and hang out with his old friends instead of going to school. Wes was an all round trouble maker from; Tagging on the streets to punching his sisters Shani and Nikki. His mother Joy, finally had enough with wes getting into trouble so with the help of his grandparents she sent him to military school at Valley Forge. Wes hated the military school so much that he tried to escape multiple times. One night his Sergeant, Austin had given him a map that would help him escape and when wes tried to escape, he followed the map precisely and ended at dead end, that is when he realized the map was a fake. Wes was caught and brought back to Captain Hills office and was granted one phone call to his mother. After Wes talked to his mother wes continued to attend Valley
  • 8. Argumentative Essay A Death Of One s Own A Death of One s Own In some states a terminally ill person is given the option whether or not they want a physician assisted suicide to end their life. In A Death of One s Own , they follow the lives of three people who are terminally ill and are closing in on the end of their life. One of those being a man named Jim Witcher. Jim lives in Louisiana, where physicianassisted suicide is frowned upon. Jim is slowly becoming unable to do things that he used to do, do to ALS. This puts a lot of stress on him and his wife Susie. Kitty Rayl was diagnosed with uterine cancer, she lives in Oregon and has the option to have physician assisted suicide if she pleases. Oregon is one of a few states where this is allowed. Ricky Tackett was sufferingfrom liver failure. His wife, Rose and his doctors had to make the decision to take away his water and nutrients. I believe that physicians assisted suicide is something that every terminally ill person should be offered. Many terminally ill patients experience a painful death due to their disease. This would let the patient decided a more peaceful way to die. This makes the patient more at ease knowing that their fate is in their own hands. Even though this is a very hard decisions, the family would know their loved one is out of pain and suffering. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Although there are cons, they are outweighed by the pros. Making physicians assisted suicide legal in all states will let patients retain their dignity. They are given the opportunity to decide where they would prefer to die and who they want there. This will also help end the suffering. Terminal diseases can cause a person a lot of pain and depression at the end of life, this pill will put them out of their misery. Grief is easier to handle when the family knows when they will die. This will let them dissolve any problems and die in
  • 9. Improving Economic And Social Status Of A Region Introduction Presently, changes are being experienced in areas where development projects aimed at improving the economic and social status of a region are being carried. These changes happen to affect the environment within which the projects are being carried and they often call for strategies to be developed by the developing body to make sure that these impacts are reduced significantly (Beer, Au and Hall n.d.). Despite different development projects aiming at bringing about some positive changes in the society or in a given setting, studies show that the same projects may lead to conflicts between the environmentand the human activities being carried out in that particular region. Initially, the campaign for economic growth was viewed as the key for increasing the standards of living in a given region but very little attention was given to the social and environmental sensitivity and impacts that accompanied these projects (Chen, Liu and Liaw 2011). As a result, there has been a growing need to reduce the impacts of the projects as well as making sure that the long term benefits of the projects are maximized in leading to sustainability of the projects. Therefore, in the case of pipeline industry, there are a number of impacts that the industry exposes to the environment as cases of spills may happen as well as destruction of the environment as the pipelines are laid (Even and Porter 2012). These impacts may be reduced and the sustainability of the projects may be
  • 10. Theme Of Childhood In The Kite Runner I realized the impact of a setting on childhood when I went to India as a 6 year old child with my family. As we walked on the streets outside the mall one evening, I saw a little boy lifting rocks and begging for money outside. I remember asking my dad why a kid like me was suffering so much. He explained to me that although the political climate in India evolved from a social caste system, the views from society have not evolved as much. The prejudice resembles one similar seen in Afghanistan. In the novel The Kite Runner, by Khaled Hosseinidisplays the growth of fascism and the manner in which it can drastically dehumanize a childhood. He does so in a three very distinct time periods. First, during Soviet takeover, then Afghan Revolution,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This passage does an excellent job showing how the Russian would stoke fear into the life of Afghans and regulate their life. When the author says that the Russian tanks would roll into the streets where he played in showed that his innocence had ended and he was now a prisoner of the time period. Hosseini pulls off this feat again in Chapter 10 by showing the stigma created by the Russians. You couldn t trust anyone in Kabul any more for a fee or under threat, people told on each other, neighbor on neighbor, child on parent, brother on brother, servant on master, friend on friend. [...]. The rafiqs, the comrades, were everywhere and they d split Kabul into two groups: those who eavesdropped and those who didn t. (108). This passage shows how the life of a village had become imprisonment and everyone was only trying to save themselves at the cost of others. Ultimately, we see how the Russians began the end of the normal childhood for Hassan and
  • 11. Online Music On The Internet I will choose to evaluate the topic You, the D.J. (online music movies to the cloud) which is written by Sasha Frere Jones. A D.J. or ЛњDisk jockey is someone that conducts a program of recorded music on the radio, television or at clubs and other dance halls. They introduce and play CD s or records on record players. The history of the disc jockeyactually begins in the nineteenth century when Thomas Edison invents the phonograph, the precursor to the record player. Before, the only way to enjoy music is by going to a live performance or making it yourself. With the phonograph, people could now listen to their favorite music from the comfort of their homes but I believed that now a day people like to listen the music, movies through the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... is that sometime we will be the D.J. sometime the machine will be. I came to know that Of the twenty hours a week that an average American spends listing to music, only three of it is stuff you own. The rest is radio. So I read the book I found that in this essay, people had different media to listen the songs through internet like Pandora. Pandora Internet radio, often known simply as Pandora is an automated music recommendation service and custodian of the Music. We can add variety by suggesting what other artists would like to hear. Pandora will briefly pause its streaming for a commercial or two from its sponsors feature that can be disabled by upgrading to a premium account for a nominal fee I think so. Irony In A Very Old Man With Enormous Wings Another Plot Twister If all stories written and those untold were to be scattered across the globe and looked at, it would be evident that irony is present throughout our lives as it is present in these three pieces of writing. A small girl crouched in the corner of a darkened house sobs hysterically as people run screaming, she had got her birthday wish, she and her mother would be together forever, but the people had been running from her and she was now to live out eternity in the small house, the one she died in. A turn of events can be quite frightening or in some cases even comical, but what we know for sure is that these events can be categorized as examples of irony. Three short stories further elaborate on the power of irony: Because My Father Always Said He Was The Only Indian Who Saw Jimi Hendrix Play The Star Spangled Banner At Woodstock by Sherman Alexie, A Very Old Man With Enormous Wings: A Tale for Children by Gabriel ... This example of irony crisply denotes judging a book by it s cover. Then, in addition to this, one may believe the family that found the angel would be greatful. Then sadly the writer must show the ungratefulness of the family who was brought prosperity by the angel. With the money they saved they built a two story mansion with balconies and gardens and high netting so the crabs wouldn t get in during the winter, and with iron bars on the windows so that angels wouldn t get in, (Marquez 3) stated Marquez. In modern times, people have defined economic systems to include government policies. In the olden days, economic systems were pretty simple, as people used the trade by barter system which was very straight forward. There were few treaties and almost no real rules of engagement. In this type of trade, you only exchanged goods that you had for what you needed, or wanted. However, in modern monetary economies, the setting is quite intricate. A good example of this is the cell phone market, as new phones are released each year, as individuals create new ideas and new features for their consumers, another advantage is that due to consumer driving decisions, it forces the producer to meet the requirements or features required by the consumer as it influences the price of the product (Educator, 2015). How can there be such huge differences within the public school system of a country, which claims to provide equal opportunity for all? Towns close enough to easily integrate face almost total segregation with abysmal conditions in the Black and/or Latino schools and tremendously good resources in the white schools. Although the statistics are more than 10 years out of date, the reality of America school segregation has not changed. The barely functional buildings, lack of up to date text books (or in many cases any text books), overcrowded classes, non existent lab and computer equipment, and low paid teachers create a situation of despair that leads to a drop out rate of more than 50% in many districts. And even those who graduate are often barely literate. Kozol draws the clear link between these schools and the imprisonment of the oppressed nations who, after dropping out of a dead end education, end up locked behind bars. The overt racism of this system is exposed when districts with little money run out of space for their kids and try to rent empty space from wealthier districts. Those that agree require the kids to stay entirely segregated from the white student body,

The majority of the targets for the Sustainable Development Goal of conserving ocean and marine resources were measurable and can be attained through sensible efforts and dedication. However, targets 14.1 and 14.2 were not as fully measurable as others due to vague execution methods for addressing the issue in concern. To further explain, target 14.1 has a measurable target of reducing pollution, but does not further elaborate on how to do so. Furthermore, target 14.2 addresses the measurable requirement to protect oceanic and marine ecosystems, yet the approaches to solving the problem included strengthening their resilience, and taking action... , which appear to sound vague and immeasurable (UNSDKP). Therefore, a good approach to dealing with these issues is to educate and raise awareness to the public about the harmful consequences of polluting the ocean. Moreover, targets 14.3 and 14.4 were substantially more measurable and addressed a direct, realistic solution to the issues. These targets discuss ocean acidification and overfishing respectively, both being measurable since acidity levels and fish population can be measured overtime. The direct solution to both issues is scientific cooperation, where a scientific approach is most likely able to resolve these matters. Likewise targets 14.5 and 14.6 are measurable because land area and subsidies can be quantified. Target 14.7 is not only a measurable target, but also rewarding. I also suggest that it rely on Benchmarking, Change Management, Balanced Scorecards and efficient CRM as its alignment mechanisms. Dynacorp has a strong technical focus, targeting a very specific user base. It hit the market when the consumers were anxious for products with high end technological capabilities and innovative product engineering. This proved to be pivotal and a key catalyst for its business and served as an effective market penetration strategy that enabled the company to optimize revenue and profit for many years. However, such a success was realized in the face of very little competition. As soon as the market started offering comparable alternatives, profits started to decrease. Considering the fact that technology is characterized by continuous evolution, short product development life cycle, frequent version revisions and rapid changes in requirements, any single organization structure alone will not suffice, and which is why the functional/product matrix must be employed. The functional elements of the matrix will ensure that sufficient domain knowledge is harnessed to fuel technological innovation needed for Dynacorp to gain a strong competitive advantage. The shortcomings of the functional approach will be balanced out by the product centric elements of the matrix. Linkage across functions and across products is required for Dynacorp

Belle is a normal woman, not a witch or a wizard; she has no special powers and is not old or dwarfish in any way. Also, Beast is extremely reluctant to accept any help from her. The Industrial Revolution Of The Middle Class Essay As the Industrial Revolution brought a rise of the middle class, a mass participation in the market emerged, thus a new system of trade was required. The concept of active buying was therefore transformed and passive shopping became the future. The new ways to shop became a revolution in itself, contributing to all aspects of consumerism, mass production and industrialisation in society. Defined by the Oxford Dictionary, consumerism is the protection or promotion of the interests of consumers. The initial concern for building sales and providing ease for shoppers employed by department stores allowed the ability to develop a system of promotion. By applying a range of key methods concerning payment, customer service, target audiences, the atmosphere, and visual merchandise, businesses have been enabled to rapidly increase their sales since the introduction of the department store. Hence came a new model of consumerism, of which is still relevant in department stores to this day. Before the giant emporiums of the early department stores were introduced and window shopping was born, the consumer experience was far more direct in terms of purchasing goods. Shops and stalls would sell only one specific type of product or focus on a single service. For example, one would not typically find shoes in a store that specialises in selling homewares. This was originally designed for ease of the experience between both the merchant and the consumer. The merchants and craftsmen would

A particularly salient theme discussed throughout is the issue of assimilation vs. integration. Though the terms are often considered interchangeable, in this book assimilation argues for adoption of American culture. Conversely, integration advocates for the coexistence of foreign and American customs and allows immigrants to establish a sense of home away from their original countries. The story entitled, The Third and Final Continent specifically recounts a young Indian man s experience trying to establish himself in Cambridge, Massachusetts after living in London. Prior to his immigration, the narrator had his marriage arranged by his family in Calcutta, and much of the story illustrates the narrator s apprehension for his wife, Mala s arrival from India. Recognizing that food is a significant aspect of most cultures, Lahiri uses it as a motif to indicate the transformation of the narrator s cultural status in the United States. Through food, she ultimately asserts the possibility of positive integration, rather than just assimilation, into American society. Lahiri demonstrates the forced nature of assimilation through the narrator s relationship with American food. When the narrator first arrives in Cambridge and checks in at the YMCA, he notices a ... On average, patients who received only outpatient care spent 1,135 Chinese yuan upon completion of TB treatment. However, the cost was ten times higher for the patients who received both outpatient and inpatient care (up to 11,117 Chinese yuan)[23]. Hu et al. • 39. Historical And Medical Background Of Agnosia Historical and Medical Background of Agnosia Agnosia is a rare neurological disorder that affects one s capability to recognize people or objects based on the affected sense (Coslett, 2007; National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, 2014). There are three observed types of agnosia: Visual, Auditory, and Tactile (Coslett, 2007; Marotta Behrmann 2002). Visual agnosia is the most common type because the brain devotes the most energy and resources to visual processing than processing of any of the other senses (Coslett, 2007). Since it is the most common, and therefore has the most research available, visual agnosia will be the primary focus of this paper. Sigmund Freud coined the term agnosia which means without knowledge and although the term stands today, it is now known that those with agnosia actually have knowledge of what they are seeing but do not have the ability to connect perception to knowledge. As Marotta and Behrmann observed in two case studies, those with visual agnosia are able to identify and recognize object through sound, touch or a description of function or appearance (Marotta Behrmann, 2002; Coslett, 2007), proving that knowledge of the object is present. Heinrich Lissauer, a German neurologist, divided visual agnosia into two subcategories: apperceptive and associative agnosia. Apperceptive agnosia is when a perceptual representation cannot even be derived from vision, meaning everything can be seen, the visual acuity and physical
  • 40. Liberty And Paternalism Essay LIBERTY AND PATERNALISM John Stuart Mill and Gerald Dworkin have distinctly opposing views on legal paternalism in that Mill is adamantly against any form of paternalism, whereas Dworkin believes that there do exist circumstances in which paternalism is justified. Both agree that paternalism is justified when the well being of another person is violated or put at risk. Mill takes on a utilitarian argument, explaining that allowing an individual to exercise his freedom of free choice is more beneficial to society than deciding for him what is in his best interests. Dworkin, on the other hand, feels that certain cases require the intervention of either society as a whole or its individual members. He breaks ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A large part to this justification is the idea of future oriented consent, the concept that once the child grows up and realizes the consequences of his chasing the ball, he will agree that the interference of an outsider was justified. Another example for which this concept can be applied is the matter of seat belts. The question of whether or not a person should be punished for not wearing a seat belt, I believe, can be answered by comparing it to the previous example. If a person were to be involved in a car accident and be seriously injured because he was not wearing a seat belt, he would come to the realization that he should have been wearing it. At this point, he will realize that his personal health is worth the inconvenience of putting on his seat belt. The fact that any logical, rational person will come to this realization justifies the interference of an outside party, the government in this example. If this person does not realize that his health and his life is worth putting on a seat belt, it is safe to say that this person is illogical and irrational. If this is the case, a decision can be forced upon him for his own well being; the same way that it would be for a child for the same reasons. One opposition to this reasoning is that an adult differs from a child in that it is presumed that the adult can understand the consequences of his action

Although it is widely accepted that William Shakespeare wrote his own material, there are many people who believe that he was not the true author of the works attributed to him. Arguments against Shakespeare s authorship range from people believing that it was all a political cover up, and that there isn t enough factual evidence to come to the conclusion that Shakespeare truly did write his own work, to the conclusion that there are faults in the Oxfordian Theory of Shakespeare Authorship. Ultimately, the most valid evidence supports that Shakespeare is in fact the author of the most famous plays and sonnets of all time. Although there is not an exact day for William Shakespeare s birth, his birthday can roughly be placed around April in 1564.He grew up in Stratford upon Avon, located near London, and he was the oldest of his siblings. Shakespeare had a Latin education as a kid, because as the son of a leading Stratford citizen, he almost certainly attended Stratford s grammar school. Like all such schools, its curriculum consisted of an intense emphasis on the Latin classics (Folger Shakespeare Library, 2017). The reason the matter was so devastating in the African Americancommunity is because Martin was mistaken to have a weapon when during the time when he was actually reaching a bag of Skittles and a can of Arizona iced tea from his backpack.
