The lesson plan introduces students to different types of research. It aims to help students understand the importance of research in everyday life and categorize different kinds of research. The lesson uses pictures to show old vs modern equipment and facilities to spark discussion about technological advancement through research. The teacher will then discuss the definition of research, types of research, and classifications of research. Students will be asked to list 5 topics they want to research and rank them, explaining their top choice. Finally, the teacher will evaluate if students appreciate the role of research and recommend they help teachers with research projects and conduct research on proper library behavior.

equipment and facilities (television, telephone, typewriter, gas stove,
hospital and school)
