This document outlines the curriculum for a Science, Technology and Society course. It is divided into three main sections: 1) Historical developments in science and technology and their influence on society, 2) How science and technology impact human well-being and quality of life, and 3) Specific contemporary issues at the intersection of science, technology and society like information technology, biotechnology, and nanotechnology. The course will examine these topics over 17 weeks through discussions of related thinkers, discoveries and intellectual revolutions that have defined and continue to shape our world.
