Sample Essays High School
Crafting an essay on the topic of "Sample Essays High School" is a task that presents its own set
of challenges. The difficulty arises not only from the need to adhere to academic standards but
also from the responsibility of creating content that is both informative and engaging. High
school-level essays require a delicate balance between showcasing a mastery of the subject
matter and catering to the intended audience – students navigating their way through the
often complex world of academics.
The first hurdle is the selection of appropriate examples to illustrate various aspects of high
school life, academics, and experiences. It requires a keen understanding of what resonates with
the target audience, striking a chord that brings relevance and relatability to the essay. The
challenge intensifies when attempting to provide a diverse range of samples that encapsulate the
multifaceted nature of high school experiences.
Structuring the essay poses another obstacle. Balancing the introduction, body, and conclusion
while maintaining a coherent flow demands meticulous planning. Each paragraph must
seamlessly connect to the next, guiding the reader through a logical progression of ideas. The
challenge lies in avoiding information overload while ensuring that each point contributes
meaningfully to the overall narrative.
Furthermore, the task involves striking a balance between showcasing individual perspectives
and addressing common themes in high school life. Capturing the essence of the high school
experience requires a nuanced approach that acknowledges the diversity of student experiences
while highlighting shared challenges and triumphs.
In addition, the writer must navigate the fine line between maintaining a formal tone suitable for
academic discourse and infusing a level of personal engagement that keeps the reader invested.
Achieving this delicate equilibrium is no small feat, as it demands a deep understanding of the
audience's expectations and the conventions of academic writing.
In conclusion, writing an essay on "Sample Essays High School" is a challenging endeavor that
requires a fusion of creativity, insight, and academic rigor. It calls for the ability to select relevant
examples, structure the essay effectively, and strike a balance between individual perspectives
and shared experiences. While the task is undoubtedly demanding, it is an opportunity for the
writer to hone their skills in communication and connect with the intended audience in a
meaningful way.

A Comparative Study of the National Curriculum for...
Physical education has yet to become an established and important feature in
Australian and English school programs. At one level physical education has enjoyed
considerable political support, acquired support from athletes and secured a place on
Australia and England s national curriculum. However on another level physical
educationhas been the subject of crisis meetings in Australia, on the verge of being
wiped out in later secondary schooleducation in England and had numerous reviews.
So why is physical educationimportant? The major factor being the increasing rise
in obesity, but also children appear to have less knowledge of physical skill, lack
fitness and are very inactive is a few reasons why physical education needs remain in

Drawing on past and present literature an analysis and comparison of the two

physical education, but will also draw on the positive aspects as well.
Time Allocation in Australia
Physical Education (PE) has been compulsory in the Australian national
curriculum since 1946. Its purpose and name has changed on several occasions,
starting off as PE, then changing to Sport Education, to Health, and now Health
and Physical Education (HPE). Australia s curriculum is organized into states like
the American curriculum and each state is responsible for its policy and operation
of PE. However the Australian government have stated that children from ages 5
18 while at school must undertake some compulsory PE. It is considered that
children should undertake overall 200 minutes of physical education, 100 minutes
of active sport and 100 minutes of PE in secondary school. However this has seen
not to be the case as the ACHPER Fitness survey of 1987 found that in the schools
surveyed an average of 116 minutes a week was being allocated to PE. Researchers
believe a minimum of 3 lessons of skill learning each 45 minutes long and 3 fitness
sessions a week each 30 minutes should be allocated to HPE, and this being the
absolute minimum (htpp://web.ceo.adl.catholic.ed.au cited 10/01/2005). However

The Team Start Up Guide
The Team Start Up guide has been prepared to give some guidance to Team
Leaders and/or Sponsors working with newly formed teams. These steps have
been used successfully, in part and in their entirety, with different types of teams.
For best results, we recommend that a block of time be set aside for this activity
when a team first begins meetings. The Start Up guide will take a team through the
first steps of its process in which the goal is Defining the Project s Purpose and
Scope. The Start Up will also establish a healthy foundation for the team s work.

Planning the Start Up Meeting If the Team Leader and Sponsor is to be effective,
they should meet in advance to discuss the team, its make up, and its task. Be sure
to inform each other of any potential problem areas or sensitive issues that the team
is to tackle and discuss how you might handle them. The Sponsor should begin by
asking, Tell me about your team , or tell me about your project to gain a sense of
what the leader requires. Review this package together and explain what you
expect to do. Based on your discussion, develop and select the questions for data
gathering exercise. Discuss the agenda regarding methods, tools, and
responsibility of materials, set up and leadership. And, of course, the Team Leader

Reasons Why Lights Will Come On In An Haunted Hospital
This is about a girl named Kenzie that is with her boyfriend and her family that goes
in the haunted hospital to see what the screams were but when they go inside and
search there was no one inside. The hospital was COMPLETY empty.
Kenzie and her boyfriend Kevin were walking to school when they noticed lights
flashing on and off. They thought to each other and asked how can there be lights
when no one uses this hospital anymore? Kenzie and Kevin went to the school
library. They searched through the books for possible reasons why lights will come
on in an empty place.
One possible reason was people who don t have a home light live there. Another
reason was that haunted dead spirts might be haunting the place. Kenzie said

Essay On Solitary Confinement
Some people say that solitary confinement is a necessary part of the judicial system.
They say that certain people need to be separated from the rest of the world, they say
that it is more humane than other punishments like death. They also say that since it
is hard to research the effects of solitary confinement that the research that has been
done is not credible. All of these are arguments for the use of solitary confinement but
the fact is that none of them are valid. Solitary is an inhumane way of punishing
people that doesn t help to fix them and the effects that it has on prisoners are
absolutely horrific. Solitary confinement should be banned from use entirely and
there are many reasons why. An argument for solitary confinement is that... Show

Solitary confinement can actually be worse for the mentally ill. Many of the inmates
that are subjected to solitary confinement have serious mental illness, and the
conditions of solitary confinement can exacerbate their symptoms or provoke
recurrence. (Metzner). Solitary confinement worsens the effects of mental illness
which can be very dangerous to the prisoner and the few people that they get any
human contact with. Solitary confinement is considered torture by the U.N. The
U.N. Convention Against Torture defines torture as any state sanctioned act by which
severe pain or suffering, whether physical or mental, is intentionally inflicted on a
person for information, punishment, intimidation, or for a reason based on
discrimination ( Solitary Confinement Facts. ) which solitary confinement clearly
falls under especially with people with mental illness. Solitary confinements is a
human rights violation which no one should be subjected to especially people with
mental illness. Sometimes prisoners are not treated properly, in fact roughly 60
percent of the inmates whose solitary cases were reviewed had serious
underdiagnosed or untreated mental illnesses. (Eilperin). Prisoners with mental
illnesses did not get treatment and this can be very dangerous to not only the prisoner

Frankenstein, By Mary Shelley
Frankenstein could be compared to everyday life for the average human because we
tend to have to live up to a standard of Normal so those that don t understand us won
t have to fear us. The story of Frankenstein could have a deeper meaning that most
readers have neglected to catch over the years. Maybe the story of Frankensteinwas
loosely based on the emotions of Mary Shelley from similar situations she was forced
to experience throughout her lifetime. One of her most famous quotes show evidence
that she sometimes felt like she was not ordinary in the eyes of most. The act of

She was younger than he was by ten years but they ended up meeting each other

father found joy with the thought of the two making each other happy and being

The Land Ethic By Aldo Leopold
Personifying the Land
We can be ethical only in relation to something we can see, feel, understand, love, or
otherwise have faith in Aldo Leopold, A Sand County Almanac (251)
Aldo Leopold is on the forefather of modern environmentalism. His book, A Sand
County Almanac, is based on the notion of viewing land as a community and as a
commodity. In the chapter The Land Ethic , Leopold invokes a rethinking of our
relationships to our world and is based on the principle that ethics are a process in
ecological evolution (238). Leopold describes the stages of ethic evolving and
explains that the rules for socializing were originally defined for human beings. These
rules are expanded upon in the next stage of Ethical Sequence (237 238), describing
how humans interact toward their community. The third stage is the ethics between
humans and the land. Upon analyzing The Land Ethic I have come to the conclusion
that in order to have respect and ethic for land, or anything, one must make a personal
connection.
Aldo Leopold laid the foundation for environmental awareness decades ahead of a
ecological conscience (257). There have many pleas to reconnect humanity with
nature since the release of Leopold s cherished book. Intuition and reason tell us that
living in harmony with our world is more than idealistic the future of our planet
depends on it. The desire for harmony is not new one. Humans have long time
sought to live in peace. It is genuine feelings of love and
The Graduate and Plastics Essay example
The Graduate and Plastics
The Graduate is a 1967 film directed by Mike Nichols who won an Oscar for his
direction. This hit of the 60 s focuses on the development and the maturing of the
ultra na #239;ve college graduate Benjamin Braddock. This movie is about just one
word...Plastics. Mr. McQuire sums up this entire movie when he tells Ben that there
is a great future in plastics. In this film the relationships, except the one between Ben
and Elaine, are like plastic because they are not real, they are molded, and they are
artificial.

Robinson is the only one who recognizes the falsehood of the marriage. When Mr.
Robinson confronts Ben he tells him that he and his wife are getting a divorce
soon. Mr. Robinson acts as though the affair is the only reason for the divorce,
which may be true in his mind. We never know the thoughts of Mr. Robinson he
might truly love Mrs. Robinson but we can never know for certain. Mr. Robinson,
like Ben, is na #239;ve to the world around him. He is in his own artificially created
world, a world made of plastic, created by plastic relationships.
When Ben is seduced by Mrs. Robinson he enters a world of plastic. Like plastic,
this world is capable of being shaped into the desired world of the manipulator. The
manipulator in this instance is the decadent and sardonic Mrs. Robinson. She holds
the cards because she knows how to play the game. Ben is young, na #239;ve, and
inexperienced. Mrs. Robinson spots these characteristics and uses them to get her
way. When Ben questions their actions, she insults his masculinity by claiming this
is his first time which leads to their first sexual encounter. Mrs. Robinson knows
how to control him so that he does take part in this affair because at the moment all
she wants is him. I don t think that Ben has any idea what he is doing; it is almost as
though he has nothing better to do than to have an affair with Mrs.

Social Media On The Rise No Longer Uses Freedom Of

The tech savvy generation on the rise no longer uses Freedom of speech through
the press, but rather, social media outlets. Following this movement is Bernie
Sanders, who uses social media as a driving force of his race for the democratic
nomination. Originally, as an Independent Senator of Washington, Bernie lacked the
popularity that some of the other candidates achieved. Sanders then decided to
align his political campaign with the Democratic Party, in hope to achieve the
nomination for candidacy. The practical and successful Legislator campaign
desires to change the current status quo by focusing his objectives on universal
healthcare purchased by the state, publicly funded elections, free higher education,
more protectionist trade policies and a redistributive tax system that raises money
for job creating infrastructure projects (Roberts, Dan). Sanders advocates his
objective to voters all over social media demographically attracting the young white
generation as a result. This paper will examine how Sanders social media strategy
is used to accomplish his objective, by reaching out to his target audience and how
he could use a different social media strategy to increase his audience. As a former
independent socialist, Sanders struggled with informing the public of what changes
needed to occur. Although this is not the case any longer, Sanders explains how
social media has revolutionized a whole lot of things and in many ways it works for
us because the message
Articles Of Confederation Essay
From 1781 to 1789 the Articles of Confederation provided the United States with an
ineffective government, however there were some strong steps taken in the articles to
try and make the United States a better country. The articles created a loose
confederation of independent states that gave limited powers to a central government,
known as Congress. Some actions taken by Congress, such as the Treaty of Paris, and
certain powers that were given to them were sometimes beneficial to the United
States. Nevertheless, in attempting to limit the power of the central government, the
Second Continental Congresscreated one without sufficient power to govern
effectively, which led to serious national and international problems. The greatest...

However, the most important power was that Congress had the right to obtain
territory and control development of the western territories, which was previously
controlled by their mother country, Great Britain. (Doc D) With the Articlesof
Confederation, the United States was able to break away from their mother country
and become a free nation, setting up their own government. Although the articles set
the United States free, it was unable to provide them with a solid government.
Leaders like John Jay and James Madison criticized the Articles of Confederation
because of the weak government. (Doc G) There were several problems between the
states and the central government. For instance, sometimes the states refused to give
the government the money it needed, and they engaged in tariff wars with one
another, bringing interstate trading to a halt. The government could not pay off the
debts it had incurred during the revolution, including paying soldiers who had fought
in the war and citizens who had provided supplies to the cause. (Doc C) In addition,
the new nation was unable to defend its borders from British and Spanish
encroachment because it could not pay for an army when the states would not
contribute the necessary funds. Another serious problem was that Congress could not
pass needed measures because they lacked nine state majority required to become
laws. The states

Breast Feeding In The 1800s
Breast feeding was introduced in the 1800s as an alternative to avoid deadly
illnesses that were travelling from Spain, Middle East and Asia. In the 1860s
scientists began supplementing animals milk as formula; especially for mothers
who were not able to breast feed. By the twentieth century, the United States
experienced a sharp decline in breast feeding rates for infants and toddlers (Lerner,
2006, p. 362). The reason for decreasing rates in breast feeding were due to breast

Brovs Vs Romanovs
On the absolutist side you had the leaders of Spain, France, and Russia all laying
claim on their areas, and they were saying that they had absolute power and
answered to no one besides themselves and God.Then, in England there was
constitutional side where there was a leader who was either voted in or was born
in to play. In England, the leader most commonly came from a royal line. The
difference in England was that the king didn t have the absolute power or say. Most
events would be put up for a vote where the parliament would have a say in what
happened as they were the financial backers. In the absolutist monarchy the
disadvantage was with the peasants as they got little reward while the biggest
advantage was with the king. Take for example,... Show more content on

If that leader can t assure the security than others are needed and it no longer acts as
an absolute government. Louis succeeded in running France successfully for quite a
time just as the Romanov family ruled Russia making it an incredible military power.
The Romanovs showcased the success of an absolutist monarchy by being in control
until 1917. In a constitutional monarchy one could say a great advantage came in that
normal people had a voice. In comparison, there is the absolutist monarch who doesn
t take anyone s vote while the constitutional monarch will hear from the nobleman
what one may hear from the peasants. Charles I felt the true strength of parliament
when he needed financial backing, and the backing would only be given when he
agreed that parliament would have a vote in ordinary taxing and unfair imprisonment.
The parliament itself was made up of nobleman as well as landowners and merchants
who all wanted a say in that the parliament couldn t be broken up when Charles didn t
like what they were doing. The constitutional monarchy may have a king, but it s not

The Correlation Between The Value Of Time Series Of...
Autocorrelation
Autocorrelation is defined as the correlation between the value of time series at a
specific time and previous values of the same series (Reference). In other words,
with time series what happens in time t contains information about what will happen
at time t+1. Autocorrelation plots are a commonly used tool for checking
randomness in a data set. This randomness is ascertained by computing
autocorrelations for data values at varying time lags. If random, such
autocorrelations should be near zero for any and all time lag separations. If non
random, then one or more of the autocorrelations will be significantly non zero. The
autocorrelation plots can provide answers to questions such as are the data random?
Is an observation related to an adjacent observation? Is the observed time series white
noise, sinusoidal or autoregressive? They help in understanding the underlying
relationship between the data points. The autocorrelation plots of 4 time series of
heating operating system are as follows :
a. Supply temperature setpoint : The plot starts with a high correlation at lag 1 which
is slightly less than 1 and slowly declines. It continues to decrease until it becomes
negative and starts showing an increasing negative correlation. The decreasing
autocorrelation is generally linear with little noise. Such a pattern in the
autocorrelation plot is a signature of strong autocorrelation , which in turn provides
high predictability if modeled properly. b. System
Modern Science Over The Course Of The Year
We have been reviewing modern science over the course of the year. But trying to
compare and contrast the transition between modern and contemporary. How has
contemporary changes impacted science, and the understanding. My view of
Modern science is material evidence to support theories and concepts. As we look at
philosophers closely connected with it, we get names like Copernicus, Galileo,
Newton, and Gottfriend Leibniz. Copernicus he is best known as the first astronomer
to posit the idea of a heliocentric solar system; a system in which the planets and
planetary objects orbit the sun. This can be backed up with physical observationfrom
a telescope. Galileo invented the telescope and made observations about the moon
around Jupiter. Newton is famous for discovering several laws and theories of physics
and motion that are collectively known as Newton s Laws. The laws that he is most
famous for are the first, second and third laws of motion and the universal law of
gravity. He has material evidence to back up these claims. And the evidence came
through experiments that are a main part of modern science. Gottfriend Leibniz is
probably most well known for having invented the differential and integral calculus
Some of the major ideas that caught my eye, one is the Fact value distinction that
radically separated facts (the sciences ) from values (the emotive or sentiment aspects
of human experience) emerged. Trying to back up facts with evidence that are more

How Technology Is What Propels Our Innovative Society
Forward
Moving with the Changes How did this paper fall into your hand? Speaking on a
literal level, a lot of work happened for this paper to come into a material item that is
now something anybody can read. First, an inventor thought up and created this
paper. Which was then typed on a computer which itself went through years of
development, blueprinting, designing, and many other complicated processes. After
hours of revision this paper was printed on a printer that was also developed and
designed to do its job efficiently. Things do not pop out of thin air, they take
development which can sometimes involve a long, tedious process. Just like the
development of this essay did not happen overnight nor come easy, technologydoes
not either. Though chaotic, the development and progress of technology is what
propels our innovative society forward. When new technology is first introduced
an array of opinions from all perspectives come spewing out. Right now this is
being experienced with the release of the new iPhone 7. Apple has been noted in
the past for getting rid of specs to gadgets that aren t necessary to make way for
new and improved technology. Laptops have evolved on lacking the CD disk slot
to make way for slimmer, less bulky laptops and more room for better technology
inside the hardware. This time around, Apple is dropping the headphone jack in
efforts to move towards a new, wireless era. As product of this, Apple has also
created new, wireless Air Buds which are
19th Century Charity Dbq
During the nineteenth century charity was viewed as a way the rich could earn
salvation by caring for the less fortunate. Being apart of this group disabled people
were affected by the inequalities in the system. The growth of capitalism and
industrialization led to a change in family dynamics as more people were leaving
the home and working in factories and disabled people were in need of aid that
they had been receiving from the family. The wealthy controlled the conditions for
these workers entering the workforce and because welfare was paid for through
taxation it became a way of social control. The wealthy paid more taxes so
recipients of these charities were dependent on them. Any civil disobedience could

Women In The House Of Seven Gables
In The House of Seven Gables, Nathaniel Hawthorne introduces the reader to three
female characters. Throughout Hawthorne s life, women frequently influenced his
development and behavior. It is often said that his female role models inspired him
to become a writer. Hawthorn was a sympathetic towards women and the difficult
social roles they were expected to fill ( Three Women in The House of the Seven
Gables: Hepzibah ). This sort of emotion was reflected in The House of Seven Gables
through Hepzibah Pyncheon, Alice Pyncheon, and Phoebe Pyncheon.

The Middle Schoolers
]When I was in the second grade my school bus broke down on the way home and
we had to call for a bus from the middle school to finish dropping us off. I sat
huddled in the torn green back seats with five boys from my class listening intently
as a sixth grader explained to us some of the games the middle schoolers played at
recess. It s called FMK. Fuck, Marry, Kill. You have to choose which person you
would fuck, marry, or kill. Some of the boys giggled but some stayed quiet, not
understanding what he meant. The older boy, Josh, relished in the moment,
thinking it funny that he knew so much more than us and giddy to be the one to
corrupt our young minds. He said, Okay I ll give an example so you understand.
Gerard you have to choose, FMK Johnny, Kevin, or Veronica. You d have to choose
to fuck Veronica and marry and kill Kevin or Johnny because you can t fuck a boy

more girls here, you d have to choose which one you d rather make a baby with.
Which one is prettier. The game made me uncomfortable, though at seven years
old I could not identify why. I figured that Josh was right. It did, after all, make
sense. Moms and dads did make babies, and so, I went along with the game. Sitting
in the back of that bus with five of my male friends as he told them I filled the,
fuck, choice was the first time I ever had to consider myself a sexual entity and a
heterosexual one at that. To Josh it

Advantages And Disadvantages Of E-Maintenance
III . COMPONENTS OF E MAINTENANCE
There are ten different components which are necessary to understand e maintenance
Fig. 2 Components of E maintenance [3]
Business and Organization: It is expected that e maintenance will maintain the
balance between customer, product and supplier. E maintenance will make sure that
daily activities of organization has been run without any interruption and customer
will receive the product at right time[3].
Product, Services , Information and Methodologies : e maintenance retracts the
information which are necessary for finding out which products are supported by
which services[3].
Technology: If any company wants to implement e maintenance, it has to adopt new
technology. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The main difficulty arises for updating the maintenance database. It must be updated
periodically. So that if any critical problem comes in the future then maintenance
person can take the help of updated database for finding out the solution. Here
maintenance person should be internet savvy so that he can update the maintenance
database.
VII. ECONOMIC IMPACT OF E MAINTENANCE
For any company major concern is cost factor. Generally maintenance cost are
divided into main four major categories [1].
Direct Cost: It includes costs such as :
a) Labor cost: Labors who are working in maintenance department for daily activities.
E maintenance always works on condition based maintenance. So the company which
implements e maintenance will always have minimum workers. b) Spare parts
inventory: Company always requires to have some important spare parts in inventory.
It should be always beneficial if they have optimum inventory. E maintenance always
predicts the future life of equipments so company based on e maintenance reports can
purchase only required additional spare parts. It will reduce unnecessary inventory
cost.
Economic Losses, Potential Savings or Potential, Income Sources : It includes losses
due to having insufficient maintenance activities, i.e. unplanned stoppages and failures

What happened to Easter Island?
Oliver Kirby 14 November 2017Easter Island
My name is Oliver Kirby and I am a historian. For many years now I have been
deeply invested in the study of South American and Polynesian history. The
magazine The Good Weekend approached me with an opportunity to write an article
discussing the rise and expansion of Easter Island and then its decline. I will also be
discussing if what happened to Easter Island is a microcosm of what might happen to
the rest of the world.
Brief History Of Easter Island:
Geologically, Easter Island is one of the youngest inhabited territories on the earth. Its
inhabitants, the Rapu Nui, have endured epidemics or disease, famines, slave raids,
civil war, cannibalism, and have seen their population crash on more than one
occasion. Easter Island is famous for its statues, the Moai. Easter Island is a Chilean
territory located in the south eastern Pacific Ocean. It has a population of six
thousand and has an area of 163.6 km2 .Easter Island is famous for its 200 stone
statues. The Moai as they re known were made by the local people from basalt
stone picks and hard volcano ash. They were made to show remembrance to their
gods and ancestors. I will be exploring what caused the downfall of Easter island.
Rise, expansion and fall of Easter Island:
Easter island has been called the best historical example of a society collapsing .
From roughly 700 to 1400 Easter Island flourished; they had a stable
How Balanced Scorecard Is Developed And Acts
This essay examines how balanced scorecard is developed and acts as an increasingly
important factor in balancing strategic objectives and measure/KPIs tools used in
businesses, industry, organizations and government to integrated and aligned
business vision and strategy of the organization. The balanced scorecard has changed
from simple performance measurement tool to performance strategy, strategic

This new type of balanced score card change business s strategic plan from a
striking but unreceptive paper into the marching orders for the business on a daily
basis. It is a tool that provides performance measurements and further enhances
planner s efficiency in identifying the exact things to be done and measured. It gives
a clearer view for executives to able to implement its strategy. Drs. Kaplan and
Norton (1996) have added this new approach to strategic management by recognizing
some weakness and imprecision of previous approaches to form and provides a
clearer prescription for businesses that how it should be measured in order to have a
more balance view in financial perspective. It also provides feedback from internal
business process and also obtains information from external perspective to improve
the efficiency of performing strategic movement and results which basically act as a
nerve center of a business.
According to Kaplan and Norton (1992), financial measurement only gives a clear
view of past business activities and story which its investment in that industry.
However the long term perspectives in stakeholder relationship are not being value as
a key to be success in business environment. Therefore, they further suggest that
executive must change in guiding and evaluating their businesses when come to
create future value for business by focusing in investing customer s perspective,

Key Health Risks Essay
Avoiding Key Health Mistakes and Risks
Part of getting older is having a deeper understanding of how our health is changing
and how our bodies are shifting. Unfortunately, too many of us are happy to live in
denial and continue the typical blasГ© attitude towards health that we maintained
throughout our 20s and 30s. Luckily, it s never too late to put things right and change
your lifestyle. There are a variety of health risks and mistakes that we tend to be
guilty of, so ensure you don t fall foul of these.
Birth Control
Just because you re in your 40s doesn t mean you can t get pregnant and if that s not

We often miss just how stressful this can be, but in truth it s one of the most stressful
experiences you can imagine. Stress drives us to continue bad habits, so it s vital that
you find healthy ways to manage your stress (through yoga, meditation, and making
time for yourself) instead of turning to smoking, fatty foods, and alcohol.
Lack of Sleep
Sleep is another thing our body desperately needs, and we dismiss. Sure, you can
sleep when you re dead, but you ll probably die much sooner if you don t start
taking it seriously. Aim for at least seven hours every night. You ll notice the
difference, too, you ll find your stress levels lowering and it will become easier to
make the right dietary choices, too. With a reduction in cortisol levels you won t feel
as driven to gorge yourself on unhealthy goods.
Too Much Sitting
Long stretches of sitting aren t good for anyone, so in addition to your 30 minutes of
daily exercise make sure you interrupt your sitting with a short walk or even just
some stretches. This can help fight heart disease, obesity, depression, osteoporosis,
and even cancer.
Smoking Alcohol
We often underestimate the effects that our vices have on our overall health.
Smoking doesn t just affect your lungs or increase your risk factor for cancer it also
ages you prematurely, affects your appetite, ruins your teeth, and affects your bones.

The Missfortune of Phineas Gage
In a moment, Phineas will have a horrible accident (Fleischman 2). These words are
taken from the book Phineas Gage: A Gruesome but True Story About Brain
Science, and the accident they speak of will change the world as we know it. At the
time of the accident a man named Phineas Gage was lying explosives to clear the
way for the railroad. He was regarded as one of the best foremen by his employers,
but that is to be no more. In a fraction of a second, a three foot rod that weighs
thirteen and a half pounds blasts clean through his head. However, against all odds,
he survives. Some might call him the luckiest man to walk the Earth. However, even
though Phineas survives his accident is is unlucky for four reasons: he became a
specimen , his life was dramatically shortened, he became a circumstance instead of a
human being, and he lost his social connection with other humans.
As mentioned, Phineas was unlucky because he was made a specimen. After

Walt Disney is a well known name in today s society. Walt Disney once stated, You
can dream, create, design and build the most wonderful place in the world but it
requires people to make the dream a reality (Sparks, 2007). Marty Sklar, Vice
Chairman and principal creative executive for Walt Disney Imagineering was quoted

One way Disney utilizes the communication from its employees is by using a 120
questions survey about management performance. These surveys convey if the is
effective communication between management and employees. After the surveys are
completed, staff meetings are held to discuss staff concerns and resolutions are
discussed. These meetings are usually held within three weeks to show employees
that Disney is concerned about the welfare of their employees and to help satisfy
them. Walt Disney Company believes that every cast member and staff have valuable
information that can be shared through ongoing communication efforts. As we can
see, communication is as important as the company s values are (Sparks, 2007). As
with any company, strong beliefs, values and communication are needed in order for
a company to succeed. Founded in 1923, the Walt Disney Company has maintained
these strong beliefs, values and communication needed to ensure its success today.
The success in employee training with the Disney Institute has led to other companies
seeking their help (Sparks, 2007). This just strengthens the fact that Walt Disney
Company has never wavered from its mission to be one of the world s leading
producers and providers of entertainment.

Examples Of The Past In The Great Gatsby
Past, Present, Future
During the 20 s, money ruled the desires of all men and encouraged indulgences,
spending, and the theme of life was to live it to the fullest. Thus, it wasn t abnormal
to see those spending the money try to forget and lose interest in their past and
future. But it s crucial for a human being to reflect on their past and also keep a look
out for their future because the present is not only a time to enjoy life but also a time
to prepare for the rest of it. Not learning from your mistakes guarantees that you will
repeat them and not expecting the future will leave you unprepared for the changes it
brings.
The present is something everyone should enjoy because it is a gift thus it is not
something that should be abused. For example in The Great Gatsby, Tom Buchanan

A great example of this is Mr. Jay Gatsby who is someone who believes in the past

even wanted to someday marry him but the present Daisy doesn t match up to his
doting descriptions anymore. Thus to win his dream, Gatsby did almost
everything for Daisy to notice him; like when he, ...bought that house so that
Daisy would be just across the bay (4.151). Gatsby becomes so blinded by the past

Public Key Infrastructure
Public key infrastructure, known as PKI supports the distribution and identification
of public encryption keys which allows users and computers to securely exchange
data over the internet and networks to confirm the identity of the other party. Without
PKI, sensitive information can still be encrypted and exchanged, but there would be
no assurance of the identity of the other party. Any form of sensitive data exchanged
over the Internet is reliant on PKI for security.
A standard PKI consists of several components: hardware, software, policies and
standards, administration, distribution of keys and digital certificates. Digital
certificates are at the heart of PKI as they confirm the identity of the certificate
subject and bind that identity to the public key contained in the certificate. A typical
PKI includes several key elements. A trusted party, known as a certificate authorityor
CA, acts as the root of trust and provides services that authenticate the identity of ...

The company can choose between using a public certification authority or operating

The in house approach provides the maximum level of control. Certificates and
keys can be made any time with little wait time. However, the cost of software
licenses, maintenance fees, and the expense to purchase and deploy the entire
supporting infrastructure can be big. Also add in training of a few employees or
hiring new ones with the needed skills. The cost will pay for its self eventually.
(Walder, Bob. July 2003)
Outsourcing the PKI service will allow for faster implementation. The initial cost is
low but will be continuous. There is no need for training or new employees.
Availability will be the key deciding component. Will the outsourced company be
available anytime? How long is the turnaround time when requesting a certificate?

Introduction
When we think of violence, we often reflect on an image the news has portrayed.
We think of gun violence, robberies, or some other brutal attack that has left one
dead or seriously injured. It is common to assume that this is often occurs in low
income, poverty stricken areas. A description is provided of substance abusers,
broken families, racism, and a host of other reasons why violence occurs. Sometimes,
in the majority of cases, this description is correct.
At any time, workplace violence can occur. It can injure one person or various
people, emotionally, physically, and mental. Workplace violence occurs anytime
that violence is threatened against someone at work or there is a present threat of
violence. It is often committed against supervisors, managers, and fellow
employees by former or current employees. Workplace violence happens more
often than it should. Such as was the case when the apartment manager was stabbed
in Everett in July 2010. In the United States, there has been 20,000 assaults and 792
homicides that has occurred at workplaces, according to the U.S. Department of
Labor s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). One of the very
first publicized episode of workplace violence occurred in August of 1986. Patrick

The Relief Of Pain Is An Essential Component Of A
Hospital...
The relief of pain is an essential component of pre hospital care for paramedics,
paramedics have a large arsenal of drugs to hand with analgesic effects; the most
potent of these being the Opioid based drug Morphine Sulphate, which Nancy
Caroline (2013) states to be the gold standard for parental analgesia. Although at
times it can be found that MorphineSulphate isn t efficient in pain management and
coupled with this is a large degree of potential side effects. Thus being said is there
an opportunity for further analgesicdrugs to be added to the already large and ever
growing arsenal of drugs paramedics can administer?
Ketamine is now being used by critical care paramedics and physicians on board
HEMS (Helicopter Emergency Medical Services). T Nutbeam et al., (2013) advise
that ketamine should be used by or under the direction of medical practitioners
experienced in administering general anaesthetics. There are many features of
Ketamine that see to make it an ideal drug for pre hospital use (Wedmore Is et al.,
2005); this is echoed by that of Grofit et al., (197) whom state that Ketamine is a
safe and effective drug to be used in the pre hospital setting.
Ketamine is a general anaesthetic with analgesic properties; analgesic as described
by Nancy Caroline (2013) is the absence of the sensation of pain, ketamine has this
affect by creating an out of body sensation that removes the patient from the pain
stimuli.
Ketamine is a short lasting anaesthetic, it
The Role Of Masculinity In Mental Health
Mental health. Closely related to notions of masculinity is mental health. As the
Canadian Mental Health Association [CMHA] (2018) and CMHF (2018) report,
beliefs about masculinity can discourage men s interest in health issues, and stigma,
fears of emasculation, vulnerability, and powerlessness in particular can dissuade
interest in mental health. For example, many men have lower awareness of
depression and anxiety symptoms or do not believe they are susceptible, and they
often do not link issues or symptoms like anger and insomnia, to emotional distress
(CMHA, 2018; State of Victoria, Department of Health 2015). Rather, men tend to
employ maladaptive behaviours, like numbing, which can lead to self destructive
behaviours, such as violence

Oxidative Stress Response
Oxidative stress response during infection Candida albicans inside phagocytes After
internalization of C. albicans in phagocytes, it has been observed that the target
fungal pathogen like any other microbial pathogen follows the path from
phagosomes to phagolysosomes and gets fumigated and killed. During infection,
Candida species are exposed to higher levels of reactive oxygen species (ROS),
reactive nitrogen species (RNS) and antimicrobial peptides, low pH and reactive
chloride species (HOCl) inside macrophages and neutrophils, and survival through
these harsh conditions is essential for establishing disease and virulence. C. albicans

The increased sensitivity to oxidative stress and growth defect in minimal medium
of S. cerevisiae gsh1 mutant cells displays the importance of GSH in fungal cell
survival (Grant et al., 1996). The killing or growth defect by oxidants, disulfiram,
hypochlorite (HOCl), and heavy metals is also rescued by using exogenous GSH
in medium (Kwolek Mirek et al., 2011; Kwolek Mirek et al., 2012; Thorsen et al.,
2009). Consequently, the deletion mutant of GCS1 (homologue of S. cerevisiae
GSH1) have imapaired tolerance to ROS, decreased killing by phagocytes, and
diminished virulence in systemic candidiasis mouse model (Yadav et al., 2011).
Moreover, the other enzymes in GSH system glutathione reductase (Glr1) of C.

a major role during infection in host (Tillmann et al., 2015). Morphogenesis of

Dweck has demonstrated that students develop a perception of intelligence and
what it is. Some young people believe that intelligence is something that can
change while others believe that intelligence is fixed and cannot be altered. Based
on Dweck s research, how a child perceives their intelligence level will affect how
they perform in school (Dweck, 1986, 1988, 2006, 2010). Dweck states in her
research that everyone has certain beliefs about themselves that create different
psychological worlds that lead to a host of thoughts, feelings, and actions (Dweck,
2006). People establish these beliefs based on experiences and encounters in their
life. Failures contribute to these beliefs as do successes. Once these beliefs are
engrained in people, they will begin to form perceptions on where they need to be
in life and these beliefs can influence their mind set to either a fixed or growth
mindset. A person with a fixed mindset believes that his or her qualities related to a
certain task are unchangeable, while an individual with a growth mindset believes
that his or her qualities related to a certain task can be changed and improved
(Dweck, 2006). Studies have shown that mindset can affect a student s performance
in their academic life as well as their social life. Research also indicates that mindset
is something that can affect a student s performance in their academic performance.

In Lives of Girls and Women, people grow out of reading. As the protagonist Del
says, reading persisted mostly in unmarried ladies, would have been shameful in a
man (Munro, 117). As in The BellJar, women in Lives of Girls and Women who are
educated and who are professionals are seen as masculine and immature. Mature
and marriageable women learn to use make up and to flaunt their physical beauty.
Del overturns this rule by memorizing poetry and doing well academically. Both
Esther and Del feel that academic achievements best define and express their
sexuality, though not necessarily enhancing their sexual lives. While the bored, rich
girls in The Bell Jar spend most of their time painting their nails and getting a tan,
Esther feels out of place among the idle and the fashion conscious. Her friend
Doreen admits that at her college, all the girls had pocket book covers made out of
the same material as their dresses (Plath, 5). The night that Doreen returns drunken
from the apartment of a stranger named Lenny, Esther closes her door on her friend
but does not have the heart to lock it. Thus, Esther successfully shuts out the false
societal values of female sexuality for a while, but acknowledges that her form of
sexuality must co exist with that of Doreen and of other females in her society.

Your Overall Wellness . Within a period of time a simple broken tooth can lead to a

Hamlet responded enraged, Get thee to a nunnery (III. i. 130), Hamlet s reaction
shocked and appalled Ophelia so much so that she ran out of the castle hurt by
Hamlet s accusations. Polonius s death by the hands of Hamlet sends Ophelia over
the top. She doesn t have Hamlet to lean on anymore, since his rejection of her and
feels all alone. Ophelia then begins to act out, eventually drawing attention to her.
Ophelia s promiscuous demeanor to the guards and random singing in the halls
provokes an immense sign of distress in my opinion. She makes known of her
anger towards the court by not performing proper social conduct to her peers,
because they put Polonius in the ground without another thought, ...I would / Give
you some violets, but they withered all when, my father died (IV.v. 207 209).
Ophelia s performance in King Claudius s chair became an obvious cry for
attention. Distributing a bouquet of flowers to her loved ones signifies her feelings
and warns those around her that she no longer has the will to live because her father
Lebron Versus Jordan Essay
Michael Jordan versus Lebron James
Michael Jordan is considered to be the most iconic person in sports history. Since
2002, Lebron James has been compared not only to be the next Michael Jordan but
also having the potential of being a better basketball player than him. Some
basketball fans might agree and some might disagree, but at the end of the day
everyone will have their own opinion of who is better than whom. Lebron James and
Michael Jordan do have many things in common even though they play different
positions in the national basketball association. They both can dominate the court with
their leadership, their skills, and their strength. Surprisingly, there are just as many

James is so far 25th in steals, averaging 2.3 steals a game. Lebron is a beast when it
comes to blocking shots, but has only 262 career blocks, while Jordan had a 100
block just within a season. People can go back and forth with the stats, Lebron is
better than Michael in certain areas but at the end, Jordan will overall have a better
record than Lebron. Jordan and James have accomplished many things as an
individual and they both took their teams to the next level. They both won the
NBA rookie of the year and the NBA all rookie first team. Lebron is a two time all
NBA second team, while Michael only accomplished 1. Michael is a five time
NBA most valuable player to Lebron s two. Michael also was a 14 time time NBA
all star to Lebron s seven. Lebron was only a NBA scoring champion once,
Michael is a ten time NBA scoring champion and three time NBA scoring
champion. Since Lebron didn t go to college he never experience college
basketball and to mature his game for the pros like Michael Jordan did, and
Michael got many awards while playing for North Carolina. He was awarded twice
the consensus NCAA all American first team and led North Carolina to two
championships. Michael is also included in a nine time all defensive first team, but
Lebron was included only three times. Michael even won two gold medals from the
Olympic Games.
Snow Dance Research Paper
Two dance instructors, nine snowflakes, Little Klara, Snow Queen, and the Prince;
this is a typical cast (of a practice) (for Snow ) (at the Yocum Institute for the Arts)
(for the Nutcracker Twist.) They have been vigorously practicing and preparing for
this since the beginning of August, and the year before they started (from scratch
starting in June) and going (on through November) and part (of December to prepare
this performance.) Pointe and balletshoes, bobby pins, skirts, leotards, tights, dance
bags, water bottles, trash bag pants, warm up booties and more are scattered (around
the very slender and congested hallway,) resembling the locker commons at the end
of the school day. Girls are tying up their pointe shoes and doing their... Show more

After the barre warm up they do combinations in the center of the room, preparing
them for the same or similar combinations that would soon show up in the
choreography of the routine, Snow. Turns, little jumps, big jumps; all of which
they do this very skillfully. Once done with that they get set up, and find their
places to start running through and cleaning up the dance, as Miss Nina and Miss
Karen say. Miss Nina who can barely be heard over the music can be heard saying,
Point your toes!!! Do not sickle your feet! Extend your knees! No cheating your
turns!!! Intricate combinations run throughout the whole 5 minute routine. It is
now finally coming to an end. They pose, the music stops; they have survived
through one of the hardest dances in the Nutcracker Twist, but it is only the first
out of many run throughs of Snow on Saturday, November 14th, 2015. After the
four hour practice, a mix of Snow and Flowers, Miss Nina can be heard saying,
Thank you for the nice work today! See you all in classes this week!!! , as we
curtsey and walked out of the studio. Everyone is itching to release their throbbing
feet from their tight, sweaty, and painful pointe shoes as they curtsey to Miss Nina
and Miss Karen as they walk out of the dance studio they are very relieved and
excited that it is finally over, but they know it will come again next weekend, and the
next, and the next, until the two performances on December 11, and 12,

politics, sports, and warfare. Alexander was born 300 years before Jesus, 356 BCE

only important to Alexander because he wanted to rule the Persian body. How great
was Alexander the Great? Alexander was great because he was inspiring, and also
because he spread Greek culture. One reason is that Alexander was great because he
was a very inspiring leader. According to document A it says,ВЁ Alexander

At one level physical education has enjoyed considerable political support, acquired support from athletes and secured a place on Australia and England s national curriculum. However on another level physical educationhas been the subject of crisis meetings in Australia, on the verge of being wiped out in later secondary schooleducation in England and had numerous reviews. So why is physical educationimportant? The major factor being the increasing rise in obesity, but also children appear to have less knowledge of physical skill, lack fitness and are very inactive is a few reasons why physical education needs remain in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Drawing on past and present literature an analysis and comparison of the two countries will hopefully draw some conclusions on the developments needed in physical education, but will also draw on the positive aspects as well. Time Allocation in Australia Physical Education (PE) has been compulsory in the Australian national curriculum since 1946. Its purpose and name has changed on several occasions, starting off as PE, then changing to Sport Education, to Health, and now Health and Physical Education (HPE). Australia s curriculum is organized into states like the American curriculum and each state is responsible for its policy and operation of PE. However the Australian government have stated that children from ages 5 18 while at school must undertake some compulsory PE. It is considered that children should undertake overall 200 minutes of physical education, 100 minutes of active sport and 100 minutes of PE in secondary school. However this has seen not to be the case as the ACHPER Fitness survey of 1987 found that in the schools surveyed an average of 116 minutes a week was being allocated to PE. Researchers believe a minimum of 3 lessons of skill learning each 45 minutes long and 3 fitness sessions a week each 30 minutes should be allocated to HPE, and this being the absolute minimum (htpp://web.ceo.adl.catholic.ed.au cited 10/01/2005). • 7. The Land Ethic By Aldo Leopold Personifying the Land We can be ethical only in relation to something we can see, feel, understand, love, or otherwise have faith in Aldo Leopold, A Sand County Almanac (251) Aldo Leopold is on the forefather of modern environmentalism. His book, A Sand County Almanac, is based on the notion of viewing land as a community and as a commodity. In the chapter The Land Ethic , Leopold invokes a rethinking of our relationships to our world and is based on the principle that ethics are a process in ecological evolution (238). Leopold describes the stages of ethic evolving and explains that the rules for socializing were originally defined for human beings. These rules are expanded upon in the next stage of Ethical Sequence (237 238), describing how humans interact toward their community. The third stage is the ethics between humans and the land. Upon analyzing The Land Ethic I have come to the conclusion that in order to have respect and ethic for land, or anything, one must make a personal connection. Aldo Leopold laid the foundation for environmental awareness decades ahead of a ecological conscience (257). There have many pleas to reconnect humanity with nature since the release of Leopold s cherished book. Intuition and reason tell us that living in harmony with our world is more than idealistic the future of our planet depends on it. The desire for harmony is not new one. Humans have long time sought to live in peace. It is genuine feelings of love and

This hit of the 60 s focuses on the development and the maturing of the ultra na #239;ve college graduate Benjamin Braddock. This movie is about just one word...Plastics. Mr. McQuire sums up this entire movie when he tells Ben that there is a great future in plastics. In this film the relationships, except the one between Ben and Elaine, are like plastic because they are not real, they are molded, and they are artificial. Robinson is the only one who recognizes the falsehood of the marriage. When Mr. Robinson confronts Ben he tells him that he and his wife are getting a divorce soon. Mr. Robinson acts as though the affair is the only reason for the divorce, which may be true in his mind. We never know the thoughts of Mr. Robinson he might truly love Mrs. Robinson but we can never know for certain. Mr. Robinson, like Ben, is na #239;ve to the world around him. He is in his own artificially created world, a world made of plastic, created by plastic relationships. When Ben is seduced by Mrs. Robinson he enters a world of plastic. Like plastic, this world is capable of being shaped into the desired world of the manipulator. The manipulator in this instance is the decadent and sardonic Mrs. Robinson. She holds the cards because she knows how to play the game. Ben is young, na #239;ve, and inexperienced. Mrs. Robinson spots these characteristics and uses them to get her way. When Ben questions their actions, she insults his masculinity by claiming this is his first time which leads to their first sexual encounter. Mrs. Robinson knows how to control him so that he does take part in this affair because at the moment all she wants is him. I don t think that Ben has any idea what he is doing; it is almost as though he has nothing better to do than to have an affair with Mrs.

Following this movement is Bernie Sanders, who uses social media as a driving force of his race for the democratic nomination. Originally, as an Independent Senator of Washington, Bernie lacked the popularity that some of the other candidates achieved. Sanders then decided to align his political campaign with the Democratic Party, in hope to achieve the nomination for candidacy. The practical and successful Legislator campaign desires to change the current status quo by focusing his objectives on universal healthcare purchased by the state, publicly funded elections, free higher education, more protectionist trade policies and a redistributive tax system that raises money for job creating infrastructure projects (Roberts, Dan). Sanders advocates his objective to voters all over social media demographically attracting the young white generation as a result. Autocorrelation Autocorrelation is defined as the correlation between the value of time series at a specific time and previous values of the same series (Reference). In other words, with time series what happens in time t contains information about what will happen at time t+1. Autocorrelation plots are a commonly used tool for checking randomness in a data set. This randomness is ascertained by computing autocorrelations for data values at varying time lags. If random, such autocorrelations should be near zero for any and all time lag separations. If non random, then one or more of the autocorrelations will be significantly non zero. The autocorrelation plots can provide answers to questions such as are the data random? Is an observation related to an adjacent observation? Is the observed time series white noise, sinusoidal or autoregressive? They help in understanding the underlying relationship between the data points. The autocorrelation plots of 4 time series of heating operating system are as follows : a. Supply temperature setpoint : The plot starts with a high correlation at lag 1 which is slightly less than 1 and slowly declines. It continues to decrease until it becomes negative and starts showing an increasing negative correlation. The decreasing autocorrelation is generally linear with little noise. Such a pattern in the autocorrelation plot is a signature of strong autocorrelation , which in turn provides high predictability if modeled properly. b. System

My view of Modern science is material evidence to support theories and concepts. As we look at philosophers closely connected with it, we get names like Copernicus, Galileo, Newton, and Gottfriend Leibniz. Copernicus he is best known as the first astronomer to posit the idea of a heliocentric solar system; a system in which the planets and planetary objects orbit the sun. This can be backed up with physical observationfrom a telescope. Galileo invented the telescope and made observations about the moon around Jupiter. Newton is famous for discovering several laws and theories of physics and motion that are collectively known as Newton s Laws. The laws that he is most famous for are the first, second and third laws of motion and the universal law of gravity. He has material evidence to back up these claims. And the evidence came through experiments that are a main part of modern science. Gottfriend Leibniz is probably most well known for having invented the differential and integral calculus Some of the major ideas that caught my eye, one is the Fact value distinction that radically separated facts (the sciences ) from values (the emotive or sentiment aspects of human experience) emerged. Examples Of The Past In The Great Gatsby Past, Present, Future During the 20 s, money ruled the desires of all men and encouraged indulgences, spending, and the theme of life was to live it to the fullest. Thus, it wasn t abnormal to see those spending the money try to forget and lose interest in their past and future. But it s crucial for a human being to reflect on their past and also keep a look out for their future because the present is not only a time to enjoy life but also a time to prepare for the rest of it. Not learning from your mistakes guarantees that you will repeat them and not expecting the future will leave you unprepared for the changes it brings. The relief of pain is an essential component of pre hospital care for paramedics, paramedics have a large arsenal of drugs to hand with analgesic effects; the most potent of these being the Opioid based drug Morphine Sulphate, which Nancy Caroline (2013) states to be the gold standard for parental analgesia. Although at times it can be found that MorphineSulphate isn t efficient in pain management and coupled with this is a large degree of potential side effects. Thus being said is there an opportunity for further analgesicdrugs to be added to the already large and ever growing arsenal of drugs paramedics can administer? Ketamine is now being used by critical care paramedics and physicians on board HEMS (Helicopter Emergency Medical Services). T Nutbeam et al., (2013) advise that ketamine should be used by or under the direction of medical practitioners experienced in administering general anaesthetics. There are many features of Ketamine that see to make it an ideal drug for pre hospital use (Wedmore Is et al., 2005); this is echoed by that of Grofit et al., (197) whom state that Ketamine is a safe and effective drug to be used in the pre hospital setting. Ketamine is a general anaesthetic with analgesic properties; analgesic as described by Nancy Caroline (2013) is the absence of the sensation of pain, ketamine has this affect by creating an out of body sensation that removes the patient from the pain stimuli. Oxidative Stress Response Oxidative stress response during infection Candida albicans inside phagocytes After internalization of C. albicans in phagocytes, it has been observed that the target fungal pathogen like any other microbial pathogen follows the path from phagosomes to phagolysosomes and gets fumigated and killed. During infection, Candida species are exposed to higher levels of reactive oxygen species (ROS), reactive nitrogen species (RNS) and antimicrobial peptides, low pH and reactive chloride species (HOCl) inside macrophages and neutrophils, and survival through these harsh conditions is essential for establishing disease and virulence. The increased sensitivity to oxidative stress and growth defect in minimal medium of S. cerevisiae gsh1 mutant cells displays the importance of GSH in fungal cell survival (Grant et al., 1996). The killing or growth defect by oxidants, disulfiram, hypochlorite (HOCl), and heavy metals is also rescued by using exogenous GSH in medium (Kwolek Mirek et al., 2011; Kwolek Mirek et al., 2012; Thorsen et al., 2009). Consequently, the deletion mutant of GCS1 (homologue of S. cerevisiae GSH1) have imapaired tolerance to ROS, decreased killing by phagocytes, and diminished virulence in systemic candidiasis mouse model (Yadav et al., 2011). Moreover, the other enzymes in GSH system glutathione reductase (Glr1) of C. albicans have been shown to have reduced resistance to hydrogen peroxide and play a major role during infection in host (Tillmann et al., 2015). Morphogenesis of Candida under the control of oxidative stress response The killing of phagocytosis after the infection by activating apoptosis, necrosis and recently discovered phenomenon known as pyroptosis has been attributed to the ability of C. albicans to undergo morphogenesis from budding yeast to filamentous fungal cells. This change in form provides it with tools to escape

Some young people believe that intelligence is something that can change while others believe that intelligence is fixed and cannot be altered. Based on Dweck s research, how a child perceives their intelligence level will affect how they perform in school (Dweck, 1986, 1988, 2006, 2010). Dweck states in her research that everyone has certain beliefs about themselves that create different psychological worlds that lead to a host of thoughts, feelings, and actions (Dweck, 2006). People establish these beliefs based on experiences and encounters in their life. Failures contribute to these beliefs as do successes. Once these beliefs are engrained in people, they will begin to form perceptions on where they need to be in life and these beliefs can influence their mind set to either a fixed or growth mindset. A person with a fixed mindset believes that his or her qualities related to a certain task are unchangeable, while an individual with a growth mindset believes that his or her qualities related to a certain task can be changed and improved (Dweck, 2006). Research also indicates that mindset is something that can affect a student s performance in their academic performance. Research also indicates that mindset is something

As the protagonist Del says, reading persisted mostly in unmarried ladies, would have been shameful in a man (Munro, 117). As in The BellJar, women in Lives of Girls and Women who are educated and who are professionals are seen as masculine and immature. Mature and marriageable women learn to use make up and to flaunt their physical beauty. Del overturns this rule by memorizing poetry and doing well academically.
