Leadership Experience Essay examples
Iana Lukina
What did I learn from my leadership class?
There are lots examples of organizations in which everything seems to be done right, but
something is still missing. They have no soul. There is nothing that can breathe life into the
administrative system. They exist without faith, love, and hope. They are doomed to such a gray
existence, unless there is a person or a team of associates who discover the essence and meaning in
this frozen system. Such a person is called a leader and a role in which he operates – leadership. How
do people become leaders? With experience, with age or from birth?
In order to rise to the top, you need to have everything to climb. A person, who has the courage to
go forward or up, needs two things. He...show more content...
The second thing is to organize and motivate yourself. I understand how to give myself the best
chance to flourish. We can make leaders from ourselves. But the main thing here is that by
changing myself, I must always stay myself. You do not need necessary to wear a mask of who
you want to be, even if you really want it. It will not lead to good results; you will only inflate
your cheeks instead of an objective assessment of your capabilities. We need to use the full power of
all the energy, talents and abilities that are given to us.
There is no need to wait for the results from reading popular psychological literature with the
promising titles like "Leader for the Week", "How quickly to become a millionaire" and etc.,
biographies of "famous and successful." Moreover it will not be useful to visit courses, where
self–styled psychologists, of course, for a large fee, are teaching people how to become successful.
Objective assessment of yourselves, your capabilities, coupled with self–development and a clear
statement of purpose – that is what is needed.
In order to analyze my drawbacks, to accept them (which is itself a step forward) and to uproot it, I
find out the following methods: * Talk with my own inside critic. We need to listen to his comments
on others and ourselves and objectively contradict him. And even better to have a notebook in which
to write down everything he tells you. I should step back and look

Essay on Writing Experience
My Writing Experiences My experiences in writing have been minimal. I have only learned the
basics of writing, like putting together sentences, forming paragraphs with sentences, and things
like that. Since I have been taking college English, I can tell my writing has improved a lot. In the
future, I hope to be able to improve tremendously at writing essays, paragraphs, research papers,
documents, and stories so that I have very little to no errors with drafting and final products. I
predict I will be a well rounded writer when I graduate from college. Writing in the past started in
kindergarten. My teacher taught me how to write my name over and over until I could write it with
no errors. All through elementary my teachers taught me...show more content...
I need to learn to quit thinking as much on what I want to write about and how to write about a topic
and just starting jotting stuff down in outline form as it comes to mind. Run–ons and fragments I
need to be able to spot and fix right away or I really need to not have any in my papers at all. My
goals are to write papers and not have to reassure myself that maybe I need to do more research or
have more data or even have to rethink my whole topic over. I would love to have the knowledge
to be a tutor someday and teach other people how to properly write papers, paragraphs, essays,
and maybe even books. To have excellent skills in writing will definitely be a great advantage in
my nursing profession. In nursing, I will have to do lots of charting on my patients. I will have to
do health presentations on various subjects such as exercising, how our society eats, and sex
education if I want to be a course instructor. Researching information on all of those topics I will
have to make sure I do an excellent job on and collect accurate information and statistics so that I
can compare to other sources. Dictating to the doctor means that I will need to write properly so
that he understands what I am saying. Other nurses will have to be able to understand what I am
talking about by my writing skills when doing shift changes. I will have to be very precise so that
other nurses will not

My College Experience Essay examples
My College Experience
Throughout my lifetime I have listened to people reflect back on their college experiences and
explain how college is supposed to be "the best experience of your life." The summer after my senior
year I use to try and imagine what my first semester was going to be like based on what I had heard
people talk about in the past. After my first semester at NC State I realized that I couldn't fully
understand what college was like until I experienced it for myself. My first couple of weeks at
Ohio State was rough and really tested my strength (mental and physical). I faced challenges and
obstacles that I had never heard about in those past college experience conversations. All of a
sudden there was no one to get me out of...show more content...
I can remember missing 8:05 classes because I stayed out too late the night before. In high school the
teacher would constantly remind the students when certain assignments were due, but this was not
the case in college. I learned that the hard way my first semester. Sometimes I forgot to turn in an
assignment because I didn't properly read my syllabus and my professor never mentioned it. These
were all new problems that could have easily let escalate without taking the proper actions. For the
most part I was doing fairly well but a few of my grades began to plummet. I was losing the
confidence in myself and started to wonder if going to college had been the best decision. The time
had come for me to grow up and become an adult even I didn't feel the time was right. I immediately
began attending tutoring sessions, working with peers and also keeping a daily to–do list. These
factors were the eventually led to drastic improvement and success. After my first semester I
learned how better manage my time, take advantage of campus resources and also how to organize
myself better. These struggles also taught me that sometimes I try and rush through things instead
of taking my time. I realized that one of my strong points is being able to really do well when my
back is against the wall. Although I was unhappy while facing obstacles I am happy I experienced
them. I believe this experience was the reason for my

I observed and analyzed the design and delivery of an instructional unit in a Montessori school
setting. I observed a classroom of grades 1–3 two times from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. at the Kennebec
Montessori school. I was asked to sit quietly and to not interact with the children so I could get a
realistic view of the class day and the children would pursue their chosen work.
When I first entered the classroom the atmosphere was very inviting and comfortable unlike most
classrooms I enter for my own classes. There was a large skylight in the center of the ceiling as
well as several windows that let in natural light. There are also green plants in a couple corners of
the room. Each student has their own cubbies to put...show more content...
I noticed that they have the same schedule as far as when lunch, recess, and circle times are. Other
than lunch they also eat a snack. There is one provided for them, for instance animal crackers and a
pudding cup or apple slices and a tbs. of peanut butter. They don't all eat snack at once though, there
are four available seats for snack and the students choose at what time they want to eat snack and
have to be responsible and clean up their table when they are done.
There are three teachers in the classroom, one does reading/lesson circle with a small group of
students, another does arts and crafts, and one of them circulates throughout the room helping
students with their work–plans. The teacher that circulates around the room all the time appears to
be the head teacher and when a conflict arises she is the one to mediate it. The way that the teachers
speak with the children is as if they are equals, they aren't talked down to and the students give the
teachers complete respect.
All of the teachers are confident in the content they are teaching and always have an answer for the
questions the children have. The kids seem to be absorbing the information being taught and get
their work done in an appropriate time frame. The head teacher walks around and asks questions that
seek out different levels of answering, ensure the students are on task with their work and

Memorable Experience Essay
Throughout life I have had many memorable events. The memorable times in my life vary from
being the worst times in my life and some being the best, either way they have become milestones
that will be remembered forever. The best day of my life was definitely the day that I received my

Driving fast in a car may be unsafe but the thrill and excitement of high rates of speed gave me a
rush I had never felt before. Seeing, feeling and hearing everything go by faster made the whole
driving experience so much better. My mouth watered with envy as I approached the drivers' seat
every time I went out for a drive. The automobile, as a whole, became a high interest of mine; the
styling, the sound and the speed of it. I loved driving and I loved cars and all of this new found
love was from the birth of my drivers' license. Such a simple piece of paper opened up such a
broad area of learning for me; it was of much amazement to me. Receiving my drivers' license was
the best day of my life. It will be remembered forever because of the feelings, experience and new
beginnings that it gave me. Today, I still hold my interest in the automobile but the thrill of
driving has dulled significantly since I receive many traffic tickets and went through a period of
license suspension. But, still, that day remains the best day of my life. The day I received my

Work Experience
I didn't choose what my work placement was to be. I turned up at Miss Franklin's office nervously
hoping that I would get a good placement. She sat me down and looked through some documents.
She pulled a wad out and told me that she had found a convenient work placement. She showed me
the letters, and the title was BUPA Hospital,Marketing Department, Bushey. The first thought that
sprang into my head was, how tedious. Then I took some time to think about the ups and downs of
it. I do live in Bushey and it is not even five minutes drive from my house. Also my business studies

lot of fun with her. My mother was also told that there could be a chance of a part–time job after
school and on Saturdays. This inspired me to work really hard for them in order try to impress
everyone.
I had not done any research into the company apart from a brief look at their web site but I felt
that I knew sufficient information for a preliminary interview. I hoped to learn some very
important life skills and gain some great experience, which would be of use to me in later life. I was
hoping to gain work on computer skills, as I feel I am competent in this area and could impress if I
were to be given the chance. As I did not know a great deal about marketing I was keen to gain as
much knowledge as possible and hospital marketing is a field of its own.
On the whole I looked forward to the week it would be a good experience that should teach me
some useful skills.
I was to work in an office with just the Marketing Manager and the Assistant
