Classroom Safety
In my school there are different safety policies for the events, but one thing stays the same throughout
all of the safety policies and that is the bag. Each classroom has the red bag that hangs behind the
door. Inside the red bag is three cards red, green, and yellow that are about the size of conduction
paper and made of plastic. The red card is for a missing student, the yellow for an extra student and
the green for all is good. Inside this bag is also an a set of instructions for every disaster along with a
class roll for both of their blocks, a loud whistle and some latex gloves and Band Aids in a small bag
of their own. In every safety policy the teacher is supposed to bring the bag with them, and
immediately begin taking roll, and digging out the card for the case.

should stay alert for aftershocks. It is only safe to go back into the building after the principal contacts

Examples Of Zealots In The Alchemist
Zeal is having a strong passion for a particular interest that makes a person determined to achieve a
goal even when faced with obstacles. Anyone who has a strong passion for a particular interest and
wants to achieve something within the interest can possess zeal. For example, an Eagles fan that is
filled with zeal has a deep passion for the team. The fan displays his zeal by cheering, watching, and
staying eager while his team plays even if the Eagles are winning or losing. The Eagles fan expresses
his passion by rooting for his team feeling determined that the Eagles could still win even when the
Eagles are losing or playing bad. The zealots in the bible are another example of zeal. The zealots in

Adrian Peterson, the running back for the Minnesota Vikings and one of the best running backs in the
NFL, perfectly exemplifies zeal. During the 2011 season Adrian Peterson tore his ACL along with his
MCL. The injury was a major setback for such a talented player, but he wasn t fazed. Because of his
passion for the sport and determination to be the best even if that meant overcoming the injury he did
so. As Adrian progressed with his training and rehabilitation he stated, I wanted to do it through hard
work, and they knew I m all in with it. The quote clearly displays Adrian s mindset when training to
overcome his injury and be healthy once again. The following season Adrian returned and almost ran
for the rushing title. Adrian overcoming the major injury he suffered then almost winning the rushing
displays the inner zeal he possesses. Like Adrian Peterson, Derrick Rose of the Chicago Bulls
exemplifies zeal by overcoming a major injury with his passion for the sport. Derrick Rose can be
considered one of the best point guards in the league considering he won the Most Valuable Player
award in 2011. Despite the great award, Rose suffered from a torn ACL the following year in the
playoffs. In an interview on CNN, Rose got asked how he feels at the moment and how

Logan Feys Arguments On Being Individual
Being individual means being unique and like no other; however, the conflicting norms of society
wear down upon the abilities of people who stand out amongst others. Logan Feys argues that we are
under constant pressure to give up our individuality while living in society. In agreeance with Feys
argument we should have our own values and we shouldn t try to be like everyone else.
Society does pressure us constantly to give up our individuality, but we should have our own values.
Society tends to judge others who stand out just because they don t look like everyone else in the
crowd. For instance, Society looks down upon freakish and extraordinary individuals alike and views
them with suspicions (Feys 4). This proves that society looks down on individuals who are completely
different from them. However, the Leopard Man doesn t care if society isn t happy with his
appearance. He doesn t live off of society s approval. He seeks his own values and happiness with the
choices he makes. As long as you re happy with what you re doing then society s opinion shouldn t
matter. Your life shouldn t be based on their approval of you. We are different from one another and
that should be noted. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
We are individual human beings and that shouldn t be given up. Thus, To be human is to be an
individual human, with individual tastes, talents, values, and dreams that are distinct from those of
others (6). We should be free from social pressures with our individuality while living in society.
Society wants everyone to not stand out from each other. We are pressured to give up our individuality
publicly, but others want to stand out from the crowd. They would like to be the odd ones out. There is
no need to be like everyone else when we were all born differently because we all want to do different

How To Manage Iot And Byod Threats While Still Preserving
How to manage IoT and BYOD threats while still preserving productivity Sizing up the threat
Securing Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) Internet of Things (IoT) devices are currently two of the
most challenging areas of network security. BYOD has been a trend for a number years now, yet many
companies are still struggling to successfully secure these endpoint devices. Organizations are
grappling with different security approaches. While some organization have not taken steps to secure
these endpoints yet, other organizations have added Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM)
technologies such as Mobile Application Management (MAM), Mobile Device Management (MDM),
Mobile Content Management (MCM) and Mobile Information Management (MIM), or a ... Show

The network integration, and therefore the exposure, is much deeper than BYOD, and IoT devices
usually have very little security, and generally nothing close to enterprise grade security. The first
major IoT device attack shocked the industry in October of 2016, before IoT devices were really in the
enterprise space. An hacker launched an IoT DDoS attack on Dyn, using the Mirai virus to infect
vulnerable IoT home security devices and turned them into attack bots focused on the Dyn enterprise
network (for more information see our blog on this topic). This sent ripples of fear through
organizations that realized attackers could soon leverage enterprise IoT devices to attack internal
networks. To counter the threat IoT devices introduce, organizations need to secure all endpoints. This
white paper will explore endpoint security, and how the NAC solutions of yesterday have evolved into
broader Security Automation and Orchestration Solutions designed as a security integrator that
coordinates all endpoint visibility, control and automated response, which ensures secure enterprise
adoption of both IoT and BYOD devices. The Changing Landscape As organizations rapidly add IoT
and BYOD devices, it is critical to ensure this access does not compromise network security. In the
past, enterprise networks were self contained within

Poverty In Newark
Newark is a broken city, with years of neglect, corruption, and greed that have put generations of
families in a cycle of poverty. The generations of poverty have festered in a city filled with crime and
drugs. People can argue for years on how to approach and fix Newark s problems. Many can agree on
the significant problems of Newark, but the problems of Newark are not something that can be fix
overnight. It will take many years for Newark to recover. How does the Brick City get lifted out of
poverty and crime? A good place to start is with education both at the student level and offering
training programs for adults. The next step would be to create jobs beneficial to the people of Newark.

Privacy, Crime, And Prevention
Privacy, Crime, and Prevention
While there are many crimes committed on a daily basis in various forms, people who use computers
seldom think about computer crimes, and what measures need to be taken in order to prevent those
type of crimes. Also many people who use computers are not aware of the privacy and security
measures that are taken advantage of. In order to handle these situations, it is important to be educated
on topics such as how to protect your privacy (and who is able to view your personal information
without you knowing), the crimes committed dealing with malware and other virus agents, and how to
utilize tools and stay away from scams that you may encounter. These topics are important and should
be addressed to all of the public, but particularly to children and the elderly who are the least of
informed on the ever changing technological world and how it can directly effect them if precautions
are not taken.
Protect yourself
According to Norton, a well known security software company, always ensure that your computer
software is up to date and apply patches to the software when it becomes available to lessen a hacker
attack on your system. Having up firewalls will discourage the hacker and motivate them to find a less
vulnerable victim. Also change your password every 90 days, at least, into words or phrases that are
not in the dictionary.

(expected in late 2012) required in order for WHO to consider making a policy recommendation is
expected to be made available to WHO in early 2015.11
Pregnant women constitute the main adult risk group for malaria. Each year, approximately 50 million
women living in malaria endemic countries throughout the world become pregnant. An estimated 10
000 of these women and 200 000 of their infants die as a result of malaria infection during
pregnancy.12
Malaria has very divesting affects due to its morbidity amp; mortality. This has resulted in enormous
pressure on economy of the Pakistan. In highly malaria endemic areas the income lost per year has
measured as 70% of per capita income. WHO reports that malaria contributes to 06% of all outpatient

Marble, or calcium carbonate, is a fairly insoluble compound with the chemical formula CaCO3. This
compound has a carbonate ion, which has a charge of 2 and a calcium ion, which has a charge of +2.
Calcium carbonate has a few forms including chalk and limestone. The main use of these two
materials is in the making of concrete, which is used for many things including buildings. The rate of
the reaction is the speed that the reaction takes place; therefore, by measuring the rate, the amount of
time the reaction takes will be measured. Hydrochloric acid is a stronger acid that is found in digestive
juices in the human stomach and is also used for cleaning metals before they are coated. When you
mix a strong acid like HCl with any carbonate you will have a chemical reaction in which CO2 gas is
released. This means that it will fizz indicating a chemical reaction. These two elements can react with
hydrochloric acid to yield carbon dioxide, calcium chloride and water. The chemical reaction equation
for hydrochloric acid and calcium carbonate is:
2HCl + CaCO3 → CaCl2 + H2O + CO2

Summer Drowning As I get older the memories I have seemed to become more fabricated due to time

Cloudless summers are not easily attainable while living in Boston, Massachusetts. When these days

They provide people with an example that they may follow in order to live a good life. Some books
serve as life lessons to show people how some characteristics can bring downfall to some people if
they do not follow the rules. Throughout Last Days of Summer, by Steve Kluger, the characters

Case Study: Generation Investment Management
The ABB India Investment Decision
The Dilemma
So if Generation invests in ABB India, we re providing capital for a company that builds up the
infrastructure for more coal fired energy generation. This means we ll be co accountable for more
CO2 emissions, the main cause for global warming!
Generation Investment Management ( Generation ) mission and values are to deliver first class
investment performance using a long term view and integrating sustainability research within a solid
equity analysis framework. The company ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The topic of climate change is an on going debate between organisations as it is the greatest long term
challenge facing the international community (Exhibit 11). And with a contribution of 25.9% of CO2
emissions, which is the highest amongst all sectors (Exhibit 11), it collides with Generation s
philosophy of maintaining investments within solely environmentally friendly companies.
However, although Generation s research includes climate change as major theme, other themes such
as poverty/real needs and human capital are also imperative issues when looking at investment
possibilities, and as coal is an inevitable power source for the country , an ethically green company
such as Generation could support future investments in building cleaner, more sustainable coal plants.
Additionally, ABB India offers turnkey systems and services for transmission and distributions for
power grid and power plants (Exhibit 8). These are implemented by the company to focus on energy
efficiency and improve performance showing a clear positive approach in enabling a less wasteful grid
system. As India is heavily dependent on coal, with forecasts portraying that is it the largest CO2
emitting country after the U.S and China, dedication to reduce CO2 levels is likely to be a slow
process. Also as increased international competition from other multinational companies is

Essay about My Classroom Management Plan
Classroom Management Plan ※ Theoretical Introduction Philosophy of Classroom Management
Developing an ideal classroom that is well managed does not require any special power. It requires a
simple skill called thought and heart. One of the key components of becoming a successful and
ultimately great teacher is how you manage the classroom. Sports analysts say the most intelligent
quarterbacks are the best game managers. Teachers play the quarterback role and Game Day, with the
offense and defense out on the field, is the classroom of students. School should be a community that
is warm, respectful, and open. Students spend approximately 30 hours a week in the classroom and it
is imperative they are able to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I have learned it is important to hold myself to high standards and I hope my students will return the
favor. Responsibility, respect, honor, and equality are four specific qualities I value and I anticipate my
students will see me display these traits and model after them. I want nothing more and expect nothing
less than to see young minds grow and mature into exceptional individuals who succeed in and out of
the classroom. Assumptions of Young People and Learning There are certain qualities that make
secondary students more challenging to guide than primary students. It is unfair to say they do not
enjoy learning, but they need to see a connection of the knowledge they acquire in the classroom is
relevant to their own lives. If a student does not feel he or she has received any satisfaction in the
classroom, the risk of them rebelling increases. The adolescent years are the formative years for
people, and what occurs during this period will have a lasting effect. If students feel disconnected or
unsatisfied with knowledge, their learning will undoubtedly be compromised. They constantly need to
be encouraged and guided through daily activities and interaction. It is essential that young people
foster healthy interactions with teachers who they are able to depend on and who can assist in their
growth. Theorists Clarifying My Perspective The theoretical perspectives of Linda

Occupational Therapy Self
The use of therapeutic use of self is engrained throughout the philosophies of occupational therapy. It
becomes an integral part of the therapist. Semour (2012) explains it as planned and deliberate
interactions with a client. It is a multifaceted approach involving the building of rapport to establish
the relationship with the client, being sensitive to a clients personal experiences and ensuring the
therapist practices remain client centred (Semour, 2012). The therapist needs to understand the clients
story and show personal sensitivity, respect and trust of the clients own experiences. (Taylor, 2008) I
strongly value the importance of the therapeutic use of self and the effects it has on the clients we

Radio And Optical Wireless Communication
This collaborative effort outlines a comprehensive framework to apply novel radio and optical
wireless communications with channel coding to develop energy efficient and secure links for the
problem of limited spectrum resource in future wireless applications. In particular, the project aims to
study the fundamental properties and develop practical solutions for a hybrid RF/optical system that
combines energy efficient ultra wideband architectures with secure and RF spectrum saving optical
technology.
Future mobile applications demand novel wireless communication technologies to address the new
challenges associated with the shortage of radio spectrum [1 5], the need for low power radio
architectures
[6 9], and secure communication ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The key idea is to combine the advantages of localized short range
UWB IR and longer range optical wireless communication, and use jointly optimized LDPC coding to
improve the link reliability with low complexity encoder and decoder circuits. To achieve these goals,
as illustrated in Fig. 1, the proposed research will also focus on designing the UWB/optical relaying
circuits and hybrid communication protocol, exploiting network diversity and coding for hybrid
channels, and investigating low complexity LDPC encoder/decoder circuits with soft information for
UWB IR.
The advantages of UWB IR and optical communication compensate each other s shortcomings very
well, as illustrated in Fig 1. For example, UWB IR is power efficient; however, to achieve ultra low
power, the transmission distance of UWB must be short (sometimes less than 1 meter). When a longer
range is demanded, the power consumption of the UWB transceiver increases dramatically since the
received power varies as d−γ, where d is the transmission distance and γ is the path loss exponent [36
38]. In other words, increasing RF transmission distance will significantly shorten the battery lifetime.
This power/distance trade off of UWB can be alleviated by employing a UWB/optical relaying device.
The stationary relaying devices use dedicated power lines so the battery powered UWB terminals can

Pornography Consumption And Sexual Behaviors As Correlates...
The article I chose to review is Pornography consumption and sexual behaviors as correlates of erotic
dreams and nocturnal emissions. The author of this interesting article is Calvin Kai Ching Yu of Hong
Kong Shue Yan University, North Point, Hong Kong. The document type is a journal article and it was
published by Educational Publishing Foundation in October of 2012. The type of study that was done
for this article was empirical study and quantitative study. The study presented here was geared toward
exploring the degree to which the frequencies of sex and wet dreams are modulated by sexual
behaviors during wakefulness, including viewing pornography. The study examined the degree to
which erotic or wet dreams are modulated y sexual behaviors and the use of pornography in your
waking life. Since it had been noted that erotic dreams are much more prevalent in men than in
woman and it was going to be much harder to factor in both genders data into the analysis of sex
dreams, he only used male participants for this study. The real purpose of this article and study was to
see I pornography, sexual fantasy, erotic dreams, and masturbation had any significant effect on sexual
behaviors awake or sleep. To do so Yu had to put together some kind of method to test a group of men
on, in order to find out the answer to his question at hand. Yu did find some earlier studies that were
done by Schredl and King. These studies suggested that sexual content of dreams did in some way

Leaders And Their Organizational Influence
THREE LEADERS AND THEIR ORGANIZATIONAL INFLUENCE According to Manktelow
(2014), leadership styles refer to the frameworks that describe the main ways people lead. It is in a
person s best interest to study these leadership styles and use this knowledge to develop their own
style of leadership. There are five main types of leadership styles and leaders tend to fall into one of
them. This paper will look at three different leadership styles and famous leaders who are known for
those leadership styles. This paper will also compare and contrast these three leadership styles and
look at the author of this paper s understanding of leadership.
Leadership Style #1
According to Spears (2010), servant leadership seeks to involve others in decision making, is strongly
based in ethical and caring behavior, and enhances the growth of workers while improving the caring
and quality of organizational life. In the religious world, the Catholic Church has been riddled with
scandal and opulence over the years. There was a great need to change the course the Papacy was on
for the better. On March 19, 2013, Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio of Argentina was inaugurated as
the 266th Pope of the Catholic Church. According to Macedonio (2013), the Pope showed his servant
leadership style even in choosing the name Francis, after St. Francis of Agassi, which was a sign of his
desire to promote simplicity, the protection of the poor, humility, and most important rebuilding the
Catholic Church. Pope

Layton s Essay On Rhetorical Analysis And Discussion
Layton begins his essay describing what engineering is; that its work is in the marketplace rather than
in a laboratory. He then states the engineer s dilemma is based on bureaucracy, not capitalism.
Engineers are called the original organization man, and are important to large businesses, but a social
revolution amongst them would not end their terms of marginality. Moving on, Layton then goes over
engineering and its history in America. He then goes on to discuss professionalism. Many engineers
have a concern for their social status, and seek to be on par with doctors and lawyers, and to do this,
they must show more social responsibility. Layton quickly discusses autonomy, and then goes on to
explain the pros of professionalism, and that it prevents engineers from becoming cogs in the
industrial machine. Going on, Layton states that professionalism carries an air of elitism, and is not
democratic in nature, but can serve democratic ends. It requires engineers to align with their
profession. However, business resists ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He then brings up the topic of a group a Ohio State University educators that specifically asked
businessmen on their opinions of the day, to show that education is indeed susceptible to outside
influences. Continuing on, Layton discusses the stages that an engineer goes through, from student to
full member. He then states that some must show unwavering loyalty to succeed, and talks about
conformism a bit more, some even going as far as to avoid unorthodox dress. Coming back to the
phases of an engineer, Layton states that the final step is moving from engineering to business.
Although this is not achieved by all, some do and completely sever ties with their previous
engineering profession, using Charles M. Schwab as an

description of the work and every detail. I will also relate it to work we have studied in class. The
work I will analyze is found at the Walters Art Museum, in Baltimore, Maryland. The title of the work
is Isis Nursing Horus, an Egyptian artwork dated between 680 640 BCE. This is a three dimensional
volume statuette bronze seated statue of Isis nursing Horus. The statuette currently sits at Walters

The artwork is simplified, not too many extreme details included compared to some of the work with
complex details of the Vikings in early medieval times. The artist makes the sculpture simple. The
artwork is very rounded, no jagged or edgy parts of the sculpture, almost a smooth transition all
around and smooth. Proportions of the sculpture seems about right, with regard to length of Isis and
Horus. The sculptor gives Isis full feminine shapes, giving her curves at the right place and proper
recognizable feminine organs.
The artwork is unrealistic for two major reasons, its highly simplified and non representational for of
art. The reason the artwork is highly simplified is that, there are not a lot of details on the sculpture of
Isis nursing Horus, her hands are simple for texture of any sorts. The reason it is non representational
for of art is because, the clothing she is wearing, is plain, secondly Horus looks too stiff to be
considered a representation of a toddler, who are often chubby with soft skin. For the reminder of the
essay I will analyze and discuss the iconography in the sculpture and how some of the work in this
object relates to several works studied in

Crime in America Essay
Parole (early release from prison) is often referred to as the back door to the US corrections system.
The concept of parole dates back to the establishment of the Elmira Reformatory. The goal of the
Elmira Reformatory was to rehabilitate and reform the criminal instead of following the traditional
method of silence, obedience, and labor. Parole was originally set up to encourage prisoners to do
well, keep their noses clean, and become model prisoners. Once a prisoner had shown rehabilitation
and reform they were released prior to the execution of their full sentence.
Before a prisoner can be released on parole he/she must meet before a parole board. Each prison with
a parole system is set up with one of two types of parole services. ... Show more content on

The job of these members is to determine whether or not the inmate up for parole is suitable for
release.
Before an inmate comes before the parole board there are procedures that must happen. The first thing
that happens is the inmate s name will appear on a computer generated list. The victims will be
notified of the possible parole. The list of names is sent to the Transitional Planning Department. At
the TPD a case manager will be assigned to interview the inmate and find out his/her plan for parole.
This plan is filed and is sent to the parole board. The parole board then interviews the inmate and will
vote on the case. If parole is granted the prison officials will prepare the inmate for release. However
if parole is denied the inmate will be given a conditional release date which is usually within one to
three years where the process will start all over.
In order to determine whether or not the inmate is suitable for parole the board will review his/her
record. This record has past convictions, education obtained, prior employment, and behavior in
prison among other things. The way that the system is set up only those who have been reformed and
rehabilitated and serve as no threat to society will be released. In theory this is an excellent system if
used right.
However in today s society we do not have the resources or facilities to use this system properly. We

Shubin Your Inner Fish Summary
The book Your Inner Fish is an evolutionary narrative with information taken over more than 3.5
billion years. The book is divided into chapters by body parts and their refinements through evolution.
Each body part is then examined extensively and shown how it relates back to what the book claims to
be the common ancestor of humans; the fish. Readers will be able to learn about evolution in an easy
to understand format and in a way that will make the reader rethink evolution.
Throughout the book, Shubin illustrates the life of a paleontologist through engaging stories.
Paleontologists work long hours, days and even years just to make one meaningful discovery, however
each discovery contributes to a missing puzzle piece in evolution.. Shubin compares searching for
fossils in the Arctic as worse than finding the proverbial needle in the haystack (Shubin, 2009). While

uncovering new insights into the history of evolution.

The Potato Peeler Analysis
The Potato Peeler (1885) (Fig. 1) (reverse: Self Portrait with a Straw Hat) (1887) (Fig. 2) by Vincent
van Gogh (1853 1890) is one of many paintings that lack highly saturated hues and colors by van
Gogh. Many have a misconception that his darker and less saturated paintings come from a short time
in his life when he experimented with dark colors; the reality is that his more saturated paintings were
not developed until the last four years of his life and his less saturated pieces come from a longer
period in his life. Given how different the two pieces are, one can assume they are unrelated; but they
really show how much he grew as an artist and how much he challenged himself to move from less
saturated still lifes, portraits, etc. to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Much, if not all, of his work before 1886 was very similar; he used vibrant color infrequently if it all
and painted dark landscapes, still lifes, and portraits (like The Potato Peeler). It was not until he left
for France in 1886 that he decided to focus more on himself, thus transforming his style into what we
recognize more easily today. There seems to be a misconception that he had always painted with
vibrant colors and little thick strokes; but he only painted using vibrant and highly saturated colors for
a brief time in his life as stated before. Van Gogh was influenced by Jean François Millet to paint rural
scenes. In the winter of 1884 to 1885, van Gogh painted more that 40 portrait studies of peasants,
including The Potato Peeler (Department of European Paintings). These studies would then lead to his
piece The Potato Eaters as seen in Fig. 3. Van Gogh was inspired to portray rural life this way because
he intended to relay to the viewers a feeling of the coarseness of rural life (Stotland, 387). Van Gogh
was more focused on life around him and depicting it in a more humanistic way. Although the use of
light and shadow may be exaggerated to some extent, the color stays accurate to what humans do look
like. A few more minor pieces were painted after in the same style as The Potato Peeler; but after his
move to France, his style changes to the more vibrant and impressionist style we know today. Van
Gogh had realized that the style of

The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow
Throughout the United States, the story of the Headless Horseman, described in The Legend of Sleepy
Hollow is well known in American folklore. It is a scary story that many children tell around the
campfire in an attempt to scare one another, saying that if someone is not careful, the Headless
Horseman will come for them. However, many Americans do not realize that this legend originated
from a story that appears in Washington Irving s book, The Sketchbook of Geoffrey Crayon, Gent.
Washington Irving was born to a Scottish immigrant family on April 3, 1783, in New York City. Later
that year, The Treaty of Paris was signed, signaling that America had at long last won her
independence from Great Britain (Irving, Norberg, and Stade iii). From that point on, the United
States of America began the journey to find an identity to call its own. Before, when these people were
a colony of Great Britain, they identified themselves as a part of the greatest empire on Earth.
However, by the time of the Revolution many of the colonists were questioning their identity and
position within the British Empire. Through gaining their freedom, this new nation was able to create
a new identity, generating what was thought to be a purely American culture. Living through this time
of change, Washington Irving wrote about the emerging society from a critical standpoint. Although
Irving lived through the times of change, he was critical of how these changes, specifically those of
capitalism and

  • 2. Classroom Safety In my school there are different safety policies for the events, but one thing stays the same throughout all of the safety policies and that is the bag. Each classroom has the red bag that hangs behind the door. Inside the red bag is three cards red, green, and yellow that are about the size of conduction paper and made of plastic. The red card is for a missing student, the yellow for an extra student and the green for all is good. Inside this bag is also an a set of instructions for every disaster along with a class roll for both of their blocks, a loud whistle and some latex gloves and Band Aids in a small bag of their own. In every safety policy the teacher is supposed to bring the bag with them, and immediately begin taking roll, and digging out the card for the case. In an intruder situation the sign is an automatic voice over the intercom that says GO LOCKDOWN! Anyone who has a strong passion for a particular interest and wants to achieve something within the interest can possess zeal. For example, an Eagles fan that is filled with zeal has a deep passion for the team. The fan displays his zeal by cheering, watching, and staying eager while his team plays even if the Eagles are winning or losing. Adrian Peterson, the running back for the Minnesota Vikings and one of the best running backs in the NFL, perfectly exemplifies zeal. During the 2011 season Adrian Peterson tore his ACL along with his MCL. The injury was a major setback for such a talented player, but he wasn t fazed. Because of his passion for the sport and determination to be the best even if that meant overcoming the injury he did so. As Adrian progressed with his training and rehabilitation he stated, I wanted to do it through hard work, and they knew I m all in with it. The quote clearly displays Adrian s mindset when training to overcome his injury and be healthy once again. The following season Adrian returned and almost ran for the rushing title. Adrian overcoming the major injury he suffered then almost winning the rushing displays the inner zeal he possesses. Like Adrian Peterson, Derrick Rose of the Chicago Bulls exemplifies zeal by overcoming a major injury with his passion for the sport. Derrick Rose can be considered one of the best point guards in the league considering he won the Most Valuable Player award in 2011. Logan Feys Arguments On Being Individual Being individual means being unique and like no other; however, the conflicting norms of society wear down upon the abilities of people who stand out amongst others. Logan Feys argues that we are under constant pressure to give up our individuality while living in society. In agreeance with Feys argument we should have our own values and we shouldn t try to be like everyone else. Society does pressure us constantly to give up our individuality, but we should have our own values. Society tends to judge others who stand out just because they don t look like everyone else in the crowd. For instance, Society looks down upon freakish and extraordinary individuals alike and views them with suspicions (Feys 4). This proves that society looks down on individuals who are completely different from them. However, the Leopard Man doesn t care if society isn t happy with his appearance. He doesn t live off of society s approval. He seeks his own values and happiness with the choices he makes. As long as you re happy with what you re doing then society s opinion shouldn t matter. BYOD has been a trend for a number years now, yet many companies are still struggling to successfully secure these endpoint devices. Organizations are grappling with different security approaches. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The network integration, and therefore the exposure, is much deeper than BYOD, and IoT devices usually have very little security, and generally nothing close to enterprise grade security. The first major IoT device attack shocked the industry in October of 2016, before IoT devices were really in the enterprise space. An hacker launched an IoT DDoS attack on Dyn, using the Mirai virus to infect vulnerable IoT home security devices and turned them into attack bots focused on the Dyn enterprise network (for more information see our blog on this topic). This sent ripples of fear through organizations that realized attackers could soon leverage enterprise IoT devices to attack internal networks. To counter the threat IoT devices introduce, organizations need to secure all endpoints. This white paper will explore endpoint security, and how the NAC solutions of yesterday have evolved into broader Security Automation and Orchestration Solutions designed as a security integrator that coordinates all endpoint visibility, control and automated response, which ensures secure enterprise adoption of both IoT and BYOD devices. The Changing Landscape As organizations rapidly add IoT and BYOD devices, it is critical to ensure this access does not compromise network security. In the past, enterprise networks were self contained within ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

For example, UWB IR is power efficient; however, to achieve ultra low power, the transmission distance of UWB must be short (sometimes less than 1 meter). When a longer range is demanded, the power consumption of the UWB transceiver increases dramatically since the received power varies as d−γ, where d is the transmission distance and γ is the path loss exponent [36 38]. Swastika In Hinduism Buddhism And Jainism The power of a sign is mesmerizing, throughout this process I interviewed a diverse range of people and while majority didn t have much to say on the topic, one lady in particular really gave me some valuable insight on the power of a sign. I asked her if I could use her name in my paper, she said yes. Her name is Samantha Beckford and she is from Africa or The Motherland as she likes to call it. We talked for over 3 hours while walking around the Strong Museum viewing all the great things, little did I know that the whole time I was getting a history lesson on the swastika. She told me that the swastika was actually adopted by the Nazi party and not created by the Nazi party. The swastika in Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism is a very sacred ... • 35. Crime in America Essay Parole (early release from prison) is often referred to as the back door to the US corrections system. The concept of parole dates back to the establishment of the Elmira Reformatory. The goal of the Elmira Reformatory was to rehabilitate and reform the criminal instead of following the traditional method of silence, obedience, and labor. Parole was originally set up to encourage prisoners to do well, keep their noses clean, and become model prisoners. Once a prisoner had shown rehabilitation and reform they were released prior to the execution of their full sentence. Before a prisoner can be released on parole he/she must meet before a parole board. Each prison with a parole system is set up with one of two types of parole services. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The job of these members is to determine whether or not the inmate up for parole is suitable for release. Before an inmate comes before the parole board there are procedures that must happen. The first thing that happens is the inmate s name will appear on a computer generated list. The victims will be notified of the possible parole. The list of names is sent to the Transitional Planning Department. At the TPD a case manager will be assigned to interview the inmate and find out his/her plan for parole. This plan is filed and is sent to the parole board. The parole board then interviews the inmate and will vote on the case. If parole is granted the prison officials will prepare the inmate for release. However if parole is denied the inmate will be given a conditional release date which is usually within one to three years where the process will start all over. In order to determine whether or not the inmate is suitable for parole the board will review his/her record. This record has past convictions, education obtained, prior employment, and behavior in prison among other things. The way that the system is set up only those who have been reformed and rehabilitated and serve as no threat to society will be released. In theory this is an excellent system if used right. However in today s society we do not have the resources or facilities to use this system properly. We would like to think that we are drawing from the concepts set ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 37. Shubin Your Inner Fish Summary The book Your Inner Fish is an evolutionary narrative with information taken over more than 3.5 billion years. The book is divided into chapters by body parts and their refinements through evolution. Each body part is then examined extensively and shown how it relates back to what the book claims to be the common ancestor of humans; the fish. Readers will be able to learn about evolution in an easy to understand format and in a way that will make the reader rethink evolution. Throughout the book, Shubin illustrates the life of a paleontologist through engaging stories. Paleontologists work long hours, days and even years just to make one meaningful discovery, however each discovery contributes to a missing puzzle piece in evolution.. Shubin compares searching for fossils in the Arctic as worse than finding the proverbial needle in the haystack (Shubin, 2009). While reading through Shubin s accounts of discovering fossils the reader will feel as if they are there uncovering new insights into the history of evolution. One can expect to learn about the arm, hand, teeth, head, nose, eyes and ears of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For example, this past year a new study from the University of Sheffield, found that human teeth evolved from the same genes that make the bizarre beaked teeth of the pufferfish (Fraser, 2017). Another study found that a gene that helps humans to control eyes and ears is also in primitive creatures such as jellyfish. A study done in the Czech Republic confirmed this finding in a gene called pox 6 which is an evolutionary conserved regulator of eye development (Ruzickova et al., 2009) that both humans and primitive creatures share. Both of these studies are in complete correlation with Shubin s findings. Over and over, Shubin s findings fit with other research articles that back up his own studies and ... • 38. The Potato Peeler Analysis The Potato Peeler (1885) (Fig. 1) (reverse: Self Portrait with a Straw Hat) (1887) (Fig. 2) by Vincent van Gogh (1853 1890) is one of many paintings that lack highly saturated hues and colors by van Gogh. Many have a misconception that his darker and less saturated paintings come from a short time in his life when he experimented with dark colors; the reality is that his more saturated paintings were not developed until the last four years of his life and his less saturated pieces come from a longer period in his life. Given how different the two pieces are, one can assume they are unrelated; but they really show how much he grew as an artist and how much he challenged himself to move from less saturated still lifes, portraits, etc. to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Much, if not all, of his work before 1886 was very similar; he used vibrant color infrequently if it all and painted dark landscapes, still lifes, and portraits (like The Potato Peeler). It was not until he left for France in 1886 that he decided to focus more on himself, thus transforming his style into what we recognize more easily today. There seems to be a misconception that he had always painted with vibrant colors and little thick strokes; but he only painted using vibrant and highly saturated colors for a brief time in his life as stated before. Van Gogh was influenced by Jean François Millet to paint rural scenes. In the winter of 1884 to 1885, van Gogh painted more that 40 portrait studies of peasants, including The Potato Peeler (Department of European Paintings). These studies would then lead to his piece The Potato Eaters as seen in Fig. 3. Van Gogh was inspired to portray rural life this way because he intended to relay to the viewers a feeling of the coarseness of rural life (Stotland, 387). Van Gogh was more focused on life around him and depicting it in a more humanistic way. Although the use of light and shadow may be exaggerated to some extent, the color stays accurate to what humans do look like. A few more minor pieces were painted after in the same style as The Potato Peeler; but after his move to France, his style changes to the more vibrant and impressionist style we know today. Van Gogh had realized that the style of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 40. The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow Throughout the United States, the story of the Headless Horseman, described in The Legend of Sleepy Hollow is well known in American folklore. It is a scary story that many children tell around the campfire in an attempt to scare one another, saying that if someone is not careful, the Headless Horseman will come for them. However, many Americans do not realize that this legend originated from a story that appears in Washington Irving s book, The Sketchbook of Geoffrey Crayon, Gent. Washington Irving was born to a Scottish immigrant family on April 3, 1783, in New York City. Later that year, The Treaty of Paris was signed, signaling that America had at long last won her independence from Great Britain (Irving, Norberg, and Stade iii). From that point on, the United States of America began the journey to find an identity to call its own. Before, when these people were a colony of Great Britain, they identified themselves as a part of the greatest empire on Earth. However, by the time of the Revolution many of the colonists were questioning their identity and position within the British Empire. Through gaining their freedom, this new nation was able to create a new identity, generating what was thought to be a purely American culture. Living through this time of change, Washington Irving wrote about the emerging society from a critical standpoint. Although Irving lived through the times of change, he was critical of how these changes, specifically those of capitalism and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
