Chickenpox disease can cause serious complications on infants, adults, adolescents, pregnant
women and those with weakened immune system like HIV/Aids or cancer patients, people with
organ transplants, on chemotherapy, immunosuppressive medications or long term use of steroids.
Complications includes pneumonia, dehydration, sepsis, bleeding problems, children having
bacterial infection like group A streptococcal on the skin and soft tissues, and death to unvaccinated
person. If a pregnant woman is infected with Chickenpox at her first trimester, the diseases can
cause rare congenital symptoms on the fetal which presents as congenital varicella syndrome, low
birth weight, atrophy, neurological abnormalities, or scarring of the skin and eyes (Maurer Smith

Chickenpox can best be prevented by given the dose of varicella vaccine to children, adolescents,
adults and the herpes zoster vaccine for people age 60 and above (Maurer Smith 2013). Generally,
people who get the vaccine will not get chickenpox, however, if the vaccinated person get

The Spanish American War Was A Conflict Between Spain And...
The Spanish American war was a conflict between Spain and America. It ended Spanish ruling in
the Americas and resulted in the expansion of territories in the Pacific and Latin America for the
US. During this period of imperialism, there were many influences driving the U.S. government.
The war started with Cubastruggling to gain their independence from Spain. However, Spain
rejected their notions by brutally stopping the Cuban rebellion. Newspapers began portraying
Spain as spiteful and the sympathy for the Cuban rebels rose in America. William Randolph
Hearst was responsible for exaggerating the truth in the papers about the fight for independence
from Spain. Hearst invented a term called yellow journalism , which exploits, distorts, or
exaggerates the news to attract readers. A truce was called and Spain allowed Cuba to have limited
power of self government. Nevertheless, the demand for the US to intervene with the conflict grew
and it resulted in the sinking of the USS Mainein the Havana Harbor in Cuba. The battleship had
an explosion that resulted in 260 sailors dead. The explosion was thought to have been caused by
the Spanish even though it was never proven. This led to the start of the war. Spain declared war
on the US on April 24, 1898. No American favored Cuban independence like Roosevelt. Teddy
Roosevelt was one of the most conspicuous heroes during the Spanish American war. It is apparent
that Teddy favored the Navy. He believed that a strong navy in the

School Life in the 1950 s
School Life in the 1950 s School Life in the 1950 s was harder than today because the facilities
were few and inadequate. Teachers were stricter and corporal punishment was still in use. They
had fewer subjects and wealth, discrimination, sexism and racism meant they could only do
certain subjects. After World War 2 there was a baby boom and as a result in the 1950 s schools
were quickly filling up as the children enrolled. The enrolments increased as much as 30% over
the baby boomers decade. In the year 1950 there were 166 437 existing elementary and secondary
schools in the USA to educate over 29 million students. As the amount of students increased, the

There was no appeal against that system of punishment and many parents believed the teacher
was acting in the child s best interests. Other methods of punishment were intimidation, strapping,
removal from class, loss of privilege, writing lines and verbal put downs were all regularly used.
As stated before, the class numbers were increasing so teachers had to teach more students,
meaning discipline was becoming more stringent as the teacher tried to keep the class in control.
The 1950 s was the time of the cold war and there was a great tear of nuclear war. In certain areas
of America the fallout tests were being brought in where the students were required to go through
a fake atomic bomb attack and they would find refuge under their desks (little did they know this
wouldn t protect them from radiation!). It was more for the teacher and parent s piece of mind.

How Did Napoleonic War Impact British Society
In his text A mad, bad, and dangerous people Boyd Hilton documents how the wars with
Napoleonic France impacted British society. He argues that Britain went to all out war with France
when it became apparent that Napoleon and Tsar Alexander of Russia formed an alliance at Tilsit
and that this force combined had the potential to overpower European nations such as Denmark,
Sweden, and Portugal and thus without intervention would become much more powerful than they
already were by 1807. Hilton argues that there was no alternative Britain had to go to war with
France or else the Danish navy would be under Napoleon s control. In order to prevent this from
happening, Britain launched a military naval expedition to the Baltic sea and bombarded... Show

The British army also developed significantly from its state in 1793 mainly due to their successes
against Napoleon in Europe and their focus on deploying troops across the continent rather than
having thousands of soldiers for national defence as Boyd Hilton argues the diminished fear of
invasion made it possible to reduce the home guard, and so Castlereagh was able to transfer
27,000 militiamen to the regular Army as well as raising 12,000 normal recruits. The training of
British soldiers was much more crucial to their development, disciplines were tougher but fairer,
and promotions were introduced in all infantry and cavalry positions and lower class men could
now make careers as military officers depending on their success, It was largely due to these
changes that the Army moved from the margins of society to something approaching respectability.
The highly esteemed British Royal Navy suffered great embarrassment during the War of 1812

Nazi Germany Negatives
There were Positive and Negative effects of Nazi rule of the people in Germany from 1933
1939, before Hitler got into power of Germany, Germany was controlled by Paul Von
Hindenburg. The Treaty of Versailles and the Great Depression meant that life in Germany was
bad; The Treaty of Versailles meant that Hitler was basically the blame for the war and his army
had to be reduced and the Great Depression meant that people lost their job; people had no food or
money and the people that lost their Jobs had to go overseas to find another Job which meant that
they were not with their family.
The Treaty of Versailles and its harsh conditions made the Weimar republicweaker to the average

The war on drugs plunged Mexico into violent depths in 2005, especially along its northern border.
Drug related homicides soared, and former elite soldiers on the payroll of a drug cartel were
responsible for numerous kidnappings and killings. Murder victims tortured bodies frequently
appeared on roadsides in key drug trafficking hubs throughout the country and scores more victims,
including more than 40 U.S. citizens, vanished without a trace. From within maximum security
prisons, cartel leaders continued to run their illegal enterprises, killing rival inmates and ordering
hits on enemies beyond the prison walls. Wild shootouts erupted on city streets as police and
soldiers battled criminals, who on occasion were themselves law enforcement

Abolishing Death Penalty
The future of the death penalty lies unclear in the cross country battle over whether or not it should
be abolished. The death penalty should in fact be abolished because of the extreme costs and
painful time involved to house and execute inmates, the indecision of which method of execution is
the most humane, and the increasing number of innocent inmates being wrongfully executed.
The number of death sentences peaked at about 315 in 1996, but last year dropped to only 73. In
addition, the number of prisoners on death row dropped 17% from 3,593 in 2000, to 3,000 in
2015(Wolf and Johnson 1). Despite this rapid decline in the amount of death sentences and
prisoners awaiting execution, 31 states still retain the death penalty, with only seven ... Show more

is that no states are seeking to reinforce the death penalty. For example, California houses 25% of
the nation s 3,000 death row prisoners and the $137 million dollars the state spends on maintaining
capital punishment has led to the states disliking. One aspect of capital punishment that has
displeased average American citizens is all the attention on death row prisoners, making rock stars
out of killers. Many believe the money and attention should be spent on more serious issues like
disease or poverty or even on the struggling families of the victims. However, the crime rate jumped
122% from 1963 to 1980, and maybe that is why capital punishment is needed. The fear of being
executed will diminish the amount of murders and crimes in the country, and that if we protect
guilty lives then innocent lives will be given up in exchange. But by reinforcing the death
penalty, innocents could be wrongly executed. Take for example Anthony Ray Hinton. Hinton
spent 30 years on Alabama s death row after being convicted for two murders at age 29. But due
to a defense lawyer s mistakes in 1985, he was granted a new hearing and was found innocent.
After being freed he said, I spent 30 years on death row for something I didn t do. This supports
my argument in that if all this time and money is spent on protecting the death penalty to come to a
clear verdict, than there should never be a wrong conviction. The risk of wrongful convictions is
greater if the

The Role Of Robots
I imagine my future with robots, advanced phone, flying cars and much more. A lot of people
think that robots will take over the world and take people s job, etc. Robots are being use to go
to war and taking people s jobs. Robots are operating environment, the relatively high initial cost
of robots means that they tend to be only used by large companies or in defence. It is unlikely
that all the humans will be replaced by robots in any task, it is much more likely that fewer
people will be needed because for many years robots will be assistants. Robots are usually
thought of as being mobile but they don t have to be. For example, washing machines,
dishwashers, and tumble driers can also be thought of as robots. The future is most likely to be
one of productivity gains. They are trying to put brains and several sensors and actuators in
robots. The technology has been available for many years. The advances happening in
technology and it s becoming that evident that computers, machines, robots, and other things are
going to be able to do most of the routine, and repetitive types of jobs. A lot of skills levels fall
into that category. People with college degrees, even professional degrees, also lawyers are doing
things that ultimately are predictable. A lot of those jobs are going to be susceptible over time.
Right now there s still a lot of debate over it. There are economists who think it s totally wrong,
that problems really stem from things like globalization or the fact

Spotted touch me not has an unmistakable, bright orange color. There are red brown speckles
throughout the flower. The shape of the flower is interesting as well. It is similar to the shape of a
cornucopia, which is composed of 3 unequal sepals and 5 petals (appearing as 3). These unique
flowers hang off their balances from a slender stem. The flowers attract animal species such as
hummingbirds, who suck the nectar out of the plant.
The stem seems watery, and when picked the entire plant will wilt quickly. There are multiple
branches per plant. Because of this, and the fact that the plant can grow up to 5 feet high, it can
have a bush like appearance. The stem is so watery because this plant tends to grow in moist areas,
such as along streambanks.

Causes of the Wall Street Crash Essay
Causes of the Wall Street Crash
On 24 October 1929, some shareholders began to lose confidence and believing that the prices
of shares could not continue to rise forever, decided to sell. A panic began, and so many shares
were sold on that day that it became known as Black Thursday. The Wall Street Crash was under

Architects Are Influenced By Different Events, Memories,...
Architects are all influenced by different events, memories, and experiences. Some architects have
a general theme to their design. For example, many architects only create buildings in certain
materials; some use modern designs or arches and columns. Other architects are inspired by an idea
and then expand on this idea to create something unique. All architects are inspired in some way or
another, whether they were influenced by an event in their life or by a dream; many architects were
directly and indirectly influenced by the Bauhaus. The Bauhaus was founded in Germany, in 1919

Gropius realized that technology was the way of the future and he imagined a world where art and
technology could be unified as one. The creation of the school was a long process and included the
help of many other people, but because of Gropius intelligence and strong passion to educate the
younger generations, the Bauhaus was successful.
The Bauhaus taught many ideas, principles, and design techniques. The main ideas taught were
how to use simple techniques and raw materials to create a complex project. The new perceptual
structure is funded on the constituent elements of visual registration: dot, line, extent, position,
direction. All components and courses related to the Bauhaus were simplistic, yet thoughtful. For
example, the notorious symbol for the Bauhaus Press is a mark containing the combination of a
large circle with a smaller triangle and rectangle. The triangle and rectangle are used to create an
arrow within a circle. The logo itself is composed of the simplest shapes, but still conveys a larger
meaning. Most of the classes were also taught using everyday materials and ideas like cardboard,
fonts, grids, and shapes.
The Bauhaus was centered on a common language for visual communication. All students needed a
fundamental basis before moving forward in expression and creation. The curriculum was the same
for all students in order to ensure that they had the same knowledge before moving on to the next

Lincoln, Grant, and Whitman Abraham Lincoln, Ulysses S. Grant, and Walt Whitman all represent
a period of time in which the United States was embroiled in turmoil. From the year 1861 to 1865,

President Abraham Lincolnhad finally found a general he could trust in Ulysses S. Grant, who had

it Vietcong throughout the book (Lawrence, 65). Lawrence could have explained whom this term

Blade Runner Themes In Frankenstein
In Frankenstein, Mary Shelley shows a variety of themes that concern creation of humanity, family,
the sublime. Shelley presents these themes through characters, and the actions and emotions
experienced in particular situations. With these themes in Frankenstein, there are similar
relationships that are in Scott Ridley s Blade Runner. The theme of creation that is used in
Frankenstein, comes from the main character of Victor Frankenstein, who wants to successfully
create a human life form. Shelley criticizes Victor that not only creating a new being, but for
abandoning the creature when it came to life. The theme of creation is also referenced in Blade
Runner when it comes to the creation of the Replicants because they were supposed to be better
humans than humans. Dr. Tyrell, Blade Runner. The Replicants were created with a fix life span
of only four years, which was to prevent them from getting out of control. Similar to the Victor
Frankenstein, Dr. Tyrell has complications when creating his lifeforms for which he doesn t want
their responsibility Family is an important theme in Frankenstein because the creature wants to
desperately have a companion so that he can no longer be lonely in the world. This was also due
to the rejection of appearance and overall disgust society had for the creature, and his own creator
is disgusted by him. This causes the creature to go into denial and draws him to evil causing him
to kill people that are close or even related to his

Sulphuric Acid Lab
From this lab experiment, I can conclude that the red cabbage solution is an effective indicator
for the acidic, basic and neutral chemical compounds. I learned that the universal indicator is
also a good solution for the three types of compounds. The colours are different depending on what
substance you are testing. The colours that we discovered in the pH scale are pink, red or orange.
As for bases the colour was either light or dark green sometimes yellow. The colours for neutral,
were violet or purple. In real life we are exposed to acids and bases everyday. For example, citric
acidis in lots of citrus foods such as lemons, oranges and grapefruits. It is also added to foods for
flavouring, non perishable, and cleaning supply. Citric acid creates a taste that is sweet and sour....

quantities causes indigestion to occur. If indigestion does occur, it is necessary to neutralize it with

Sulphuric acid is extremely harmful if you are directly exposed to it. However it is very useful
in real life. For example, in car batteries, used in plant fertilizers. On the contrary, It is very
dangerous to the environment. There are many acids in the human body and many foods that we

Maya Angelou s Poems Essay
Maya Angelou s Poems
Maya Angelou s poetry occupies a very special position in her development as a writer (Chow 1).
As a child, Angelou went through five years of complete silence after she was raped at the age of
seven years old, by a man named, Mr. Freeman. As a result of telling about her traumatic
experience, her uncle s literally kicked the man that raped her to death. Beings she spoke of her
traumatic experience and the result of the man dying, she then imagined that her voice had the
potential to kill. Thanks to her teacher, Bertha Flowers, at school Angelou started writing poetry as
a means of expression of her life events through her poetry (Chow 1). Poetry thus played an
essential part in the recovery of her voice, which in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
She also conveys in this poem that hard times and painful past experiences aren t reasons to
avoid living life, but yet is a part of what makes one s life . She uses death as a metaphor for life
s battles in her recurring phrase I keep on dying , but adds the idea of starting over and having
another chance to overcome battles that are recurring in her life (12). The title of this particular
poem, The Lesson is very significant to the poem within itself. The lesson that is preached in this
poem is about the constant courage and determination in one s life to defeat and her refusal to be
overwhelmed by the challenges of life. Her hope as a determined woman will get her through her
personal and physical tribulations, and even though each challenge in life offers her up a small
dose of death, every time, it cannot keep her or anybody technically speaking down permanently.
When there is a will, there is a way and Angelou always made a way to get back on her feet and
keep it moving.
Mayo Angelou explains the reality between struggles and the beauty of overcoming them in her
poem called Woman Work . This poem is about a mother, preferably, a single mother that has
children that she takes care of. The poem starts off by saying, I ve got children to tend / The clothes
to mend / The floor to mop / The food to shop / Then the chicken to fry / The baby to dry / I got
company to feed / The garden to weed / I ve got shirts to press /

The Uniqueness Of The Kodaly Method
Chapter One The Uniqueness of the Kodaly Method Zoltan Kodaly chose a child developmental
approach when developing his method. This approach teaches skills in the order and pace in
which the child develops rather than subject logic. In a subject logic approach there is no
relationship between the order of presentation and the order in which children learn easily. The
subject matter is simply organized in a fashion that seems reasonable in terms of content. The
subject logic approach rhythmically begins with the whole note and progresses in a manner that is
mathematically reasonable, proceeding next to the half note and then to the quarter note. This
progression is, however, very difficult for a beginning student who has not yet even learned how
to feel a basic beat. Melodically speaking, the diatonic major scale is the general starting point
from a subject logic approach. This also causes issues because the average young child cannot
accurately sing a diatonic major scale. According to research, most children are able to sing a range
of only five or six tones and cannot produce half steps in tune. Unlike the subject logic approach, the
child development approach of the Kodaly method requires arranging subject matter into patterns
that align with the sequence of normal child abilities at various stages of growth. Rhythmically
speaking, moving rhythms are more child related than sustained rhythms. Children can relate a
rhythm such as steady beat quarter

Making Decisions Based on Demand and Forecasting
Report the demographic and independent variables that are relevant to complete a demand analysis
providing a rationale for the selection of the variables.
As the Marketing and Public Relations Manager for my community, I am conducting research about
the demographics of our community. My research will be based on demand and forecasting about
the demographics of Darlington, SC. This research is the direct result of Domino Pizza s interest in

The structure of economics is built on the law of demand. The law of demand simply says that
when the price of a good rises, the amount demanded falls, and when the price falls, the amount
demanded rises. An increase in demand means that the demand curve will shift to the right. A
decrease in the price of the product will not shift the demand curve, but will increase the quantity
demanded (Henderson, 2008).
The Coefficient of Determination Interpretation is the accuracy of the predictor of the independent
variable on the dependent variable value. The coefficient of determination is calculated as the
square of the correlation coefficient between the sample and predicted data. How well a regression
model fits the data is shown through the coefficient of determination. The value of the coefficient
of determination shows the percentage of variation that can be explained by the regression equation
and is used to show how accurately a regression model can predict future outcomes (Mahvish Zehra,
n.d.).
The interpretation of each independent variable coefficient is as following. There is a decrease in
the demand for pizza. The coefficient of the cost of pizza is, 3,174.060 and the coefficient of the
cost of soda is, 2,266.736 this shows a negative impact on demand.
Although small, the coefficient of total population .579, and the average income per house

Wimax: The Next Broadband Wireless Revolution
ABSTRACT:
WiMax is the next step on the road to a wireless world, extending broadband wireless access to new
locations and over longer distances. It will also significally reduces the cost of bringing broadband
to new areas.
[pic]
INTRODUCTION: WiMax (worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access) is the recently
approved IEEE 802.16 wireless metropolitan area network (MAN) standard for wireless access.
WiMax is the real wireless architecture by which the wireless access range can extended to
49.6Kms compared with Wi Fi 91mts and Bluetooth s 9mts. WiMax 802.16 has a single carrier
modulation scheme that operates between 10GHz and 66GHz ... Show more content on

Cellular backhaul: The robust bandwidth of 802.16 technology makes it an excellent choice for
backhaul for the commercial enterprises, such as those providing hotspots ,as well as for point to
point backhaul applications.
Broadband to underserved and remote areas: WiMax is a natural choice for under served rural and
outlying areas with a low population density.
Broadband on demand: It can help to accelerate the deployment of Wi Fi hotspots especially in
those areas not served by cable, in areas where the local telephone company may have a long lead
time for providing a broadband service.
Best connected wireless service: WiMax has nomadic capabilities, which allow users to connect to
WISP even when they roam outside their home or business, or go to another city that also has a
WISP.

CHIP ADVANCES: The main obstacles to long distance wireless communications are limitations
on battery power and poor power efficiency. Regulation keeps the power levels low and the range
of Wi Fi signals short, to avoid the overcrowding of airwaves. But advances in DSP chips mean
that weak signals can be deciphered, lengthening the distance that is practical for transmission, as
well as improving distance and speed potential. Battery improvement is vital to make a WiMax cell

Loose parts provide a high level of creativity and choice as there are endless possibilities for how
they can be played with.
In my setting yesterday the children used loose parts such as cardboard boxes, bottle tops and
shiny paper to make a robot, the robot then became a bus and later a child s hideout.
Simon Nichols theory of loose parts argues that creativity is not for the gifted, he believes that it
is our education and cultural conditions that lead us to believe this .He said that in any
environment, both the degree of inventiveness and creativity and the possibility of discovery are
directly proportional to the number of loose parts and kind of variables in it. You do not have to
be a gifted musician to make music, the children and young people at my setting often make there
own music, with pots, pans and trays or even banging small sticks on surface areas.
Play preferences.
Preference for outdoor play. Child A plays mostly outdoors as he believes it is more fun, and
loves to investigate the surroundings. The choice of indoor play is often related to the weather,
child A only plays inside when its cold or raining. It is only in severe weather conditions children
have to stay in doors as in our setting we believe the children can learn and develop much more
outside even when the weather is poor. Play preferences are the child s own choices the freedom
opportunities to be able to make those choices by enabling varied resources that are

find him. We looked for him for about ten minutes and we realized that he might have gone off
to another place to look for us. We should go find a teacher and report to them that Daniel is

As for George Milton he desires a life of self employment. Milton was only working on the ranch
to achieve his goal of self employment. Milton was going to save money he earned from
working on the ranch, buy a small piece of land, and cultivate it. Secondly, the silent grotesques
around Williard gives him a reason to leave, and the vulgar ranch workers surrounding Milton
leads him to the point of leaving. Looking at the people around Williard first shows Williard to
be a voice for the grotesques and a youthful ear that receives valuable advice for the future. For
example; Wash Williams warns young Williard of women, Wing Biddlebaum shows him how
one moment changed his life forever, and Dr. Parcival illustrates what will happen if ones main
goal is to be popular. And Williard saw these flaws transpiring in his life and knew the only way
to escape becoming like his neighbors were to leave Winesburg. Next, the vulgar ranch workers

workers at their worst when they kill Candy s old dog. From this he realizes that if they are that
amoral they can not be controlled and might kill again. He knows he must leave the ranch because

`` The Cradle Of Freedom `` By Nathaniel Philbrick
Samuel Adams once said, It does not take a majority to prevail... but rather an irate, tireless
minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men. In Bunker Hill, Nathaniel
Philbrick chronicles how the conflagration of the American Revolution would erupt from the
embers of the past focusing on the great impact that those involved in the infamous battle for which
the book is titled and the battle itself would have on the colonies and their fight for liberties. This
is a vivid bildungsroman for the city of Boston, teeming with new thoughts and ideals, that would
face internal conflict, which would later give the city the title the Cradle of Freedom. 1 Setting
aside the legends of the revolution, Philbrick presents not only a historic event in American history,
but also the subtle, essential moments that are not limited to 1775 but are the underpinning
mechanics of overthrowing a regime that are essentially the same today as they were in the
eighteenth century; however, focusing on our mythic Founding Fathers, many overlook the true
nature of the war that is present in every revolution.2
Unlike the hackneyed stories told to us as children on the Fourth of July, the American colonies
were not victims to an overly oppressive, malevolent motherland thousands of miles away. In fact
studies have shown that the American colonies were the least taxed people in the Western world

ABSTRACT
Refrigeration may be defined as the process of achieving and maintaining a temperature below that
of the surrounding, the aim being to freeze to ice, cool some product, or space to the required
temperature. The basis of modern refrigeration is the ability of liquids to absorb enormous
quantities of heat as they boil and evaporate. One of the most important applications of refrigeration
air conditioning is to produce ice for commercial applications with minimum energy consumption.
Ice plant is used for producing refrigeration effect which uses the vapor compression cycle and by

COMPRESSOR
In this Ice Plant we use the reciprocating compressor. The compressor in which the vapour
refrigerant is compressed by reciprocating motion of piston is known as reciprocating
compressor. The purpose of compressor in the vapour compression cycle is to compress the low
pressure dry gas from the evaporator and raise its pressure to that of condenser. There are two
types of reciprocating compressor, Positive Displacement and Dynamic. In this plant we are using
positive displacement hermetic compressor. Since the compression of the refrigerant requires some
work to be done on it, therefore a compressor must be driven by some prime mover. The prime
mover is an electric motor which converts input electrical energy to useful mechanical work. This
work is transmitted as torque to the compressor through common shaft and coupling

American Airlines Executive Summary
Executive Summary/Abstract American Airlines is looking to expand its market to more wealthy
consumers by offering an excusive line of aircraft consisting mostly of first class and business
type seating. This new model will be labeled under the title Elite and would market routes to and
from major city hubs during heavy business traveling hours. American Airlines will position this
service as the, Black Jet since that would be the standout feature of the aircraft. American can take
advantage of its existing market base along with its frequent fliers to sell the experience of a flight
experience beyond maximizing passengers. The target motto would be a flight redefined. American
Airlines Elite would target business, first class, and frequent flying travelers. The Primary marketing
objective is to achieve a 4 7% increase in fares per route flown by the increase of ticketing prices
even with fewer seats on the aircraft. Status matching will be offered to competing airlinefrequent
flyers to encourage them to travel more with American than their current choose airline. Airlines
represents a $783 billion a year industry (Fact Sheet: Industry Statistics, 2014). Being able to
expand the market to the high end segment would create an attraction to a unique service not
offered by other major US airlines. Break even cost would be the first year goal while there would
be an increase in cost to retrofit aircraft.

How Marketing Sector Plays A Business Or Organisation Essay
Marketing sector plays a vital role in a business or organisation. It is a sector that helps to inform
and influence the society at large about the activities made by a business or organisation (Elliot,
2010). Working under the marketing sector would be challenging as it requires marketers to have
competent attitudes and skilful (Elliot, 2010). Although there are several flaws can be identified to
make marketingas a profession such as working long hours and working with an organisation that
does not embrace the marketing concept (Klein, 2004), it is a profession that is meaningful to me.
To work as a marketer, certain tasks require going one place to another to meet different people.
It is a job that not always makes you stay in office. Hence, it is not a monotonous job in
comparison to other jobs that have to do a repetitive work. It is one of the reasons why I chose to
work under the marketing sector in the future. Where, marketers able to meet and socialise with
people that have a different background. Therefore, it helps to expand and broaden my knowledge
on numerous matters. Another reason would be because of exploration and comprehension of
consumer behaviour. By understanding the behaviour of consumers, marketers able to help a
business or organisation to produce a product that is highly demanded by consumers. Thus, it also
expected to result in increase the profits of the company. Last but not least, chose to work under a

∆T=T_c T_A r_1 (b a) r_2 (c b) (2)
Where Tc is the final temperature, TA is the initial temperature, r1 is the slope of the pre ignition,
r2 slope of the post rise period, a is the firing time, b is the temperature at 60% of total rise, and c
is the time when rise ends. Once the change in temperature is determined, the Cv equation for
benzoic acid can be utilized.
C_(v,cal)=((∆cH_b ∆nRT/m_b ) m_b+C_Fe+C_N)/∆T (3)
Where ∆cHb is the benzoic acid heat of combustion, CFe is the iron fuse wire correction for
combustion, T is the initial temperature, ∆n is the change in moles of the gas in combustion, and
Cn is the nitric acid formation correction factor. After the calibration of the bomb calorimeter, the
heat of combustion of the sucrose and altoid mint were calculated using the following

The Dome Of The Rock And Alhambra Essay
The two Islamic structures are the Dome of the rock and alhambra. It is likely that both structures

Odin Influence On Norse Mythology
Mythology is like a deck of cards. There are many different kinds: Hearts, Greek, Clubs, Roman,
Diamonds, Japanese, Spades, and Norse. However, what makes cards and mythology so similar
is the fact that they each have a handful of patriarchs, of kings. And when it comes to Norse
mythology, their king is none other than the god of wisdom: Odin. While Odin may be best
known for being king of the Norse gods, he has had an immeasurable mythological influence on the
modern day world and has achieved some of the most incredible acts of heroism in history, myth or
not.
However, before Odin s influence and act of heroism is explained, there are four main points of
analysis in regards to his background, and they are: Odin s family, his kingdom, his ... Show more

Most notably, his great sacrifice during Ragnarok. Ragnarok is the Norse day of doom, believed
to be the prophesied or already occurred end of the world, tantamount to the events in the book
of Revelations in the Christian Bible. It is the final battle between evil (Loki and his frost
giants) and good, (Odin and the Aesir). Ragnarok begins when Odin banishes Loki, the god of
trickery and mischief to Earth, where he causes hate, chaos and war to break out all over
Midgard. Then, Loki brings forth an almost unsurvivable, nearly eternal winter that spans across
all nine of the universal realms. Finally, Loki leads the forces of evil to Vigrid, the sacred
battlefield in Asgard where the final battle of Ragnarok was to take place. (Daly 73) Now,
before Loki and the frost giants reached Asgard, Odin consulted with the well, Mimir the wise in
order to gain knowledge of the future. Mimir told Odin that although exact circumstances were
unknown, he was doomed to perish in this final battle of Ragnarok. Odin accepted this truth and
armored up to fight, swearing that he d do everything in his power to save his people and the
kingdom they lived in. (Byatt 137) Before continuing, one must understand the enemy that the
Asgardians were facing at Rganarok. The strongest of Loki s army of frost giants was wolf the size
of a full grown bear named

Montt Vs. Diego Portales In Chile
In 1818 Bernando O Higgins invaded Chile from Argentina and won its independence. He governed
as a dictator until 1823. Even though there was some conflict with the liberal conservative party,
Chile was able to obtain a national government sooner than other Spanish colonies. During this
time, Chile was mainly under the governance of conservatives. Diego Portales became ruler and
influential minister of Chileand founded the Constitution of 1833. He obtained order within the
military, government and economy, but his strict ruling created animosity within the opposition.
Portales was assassinated by rebellious soldiers on June 6th, 1837. Following Portales, Manuel
Bulnes became president from 1841 1851. He won the presidency after gaining popularity... Show

It had no precious metals, had a harsh climate, and was difficult to access. It was not until the
Spanish began to gradually expand in the region that things began to change. When the cacao
boom began, it stimulated immigration from Spain and the Canary Islands, as well as having
African slaves begin imported. The introduction of new peoples to the region also harmed the
indigenous population already living in the area, due to diseases and resistance. In 1810 when
Caracas ruled with their new cabildo, or administrative council, a year later declared
independence but was dominated by the creole elite of Caracas. This created tension between
classes, leading to a civil war and Bolivar retreating to Jamaica in 1814. When Bolivar returned
in 1816, he won independence with Paez and Venezuela became part of Gran Colombia. In 1830
though, against the wishes of an ailing Bolivar, Paez parted ways with Gran Colombia and
established Venezuela s independence. The long fight for independence was a long and devastating
road for the country. It claimed about a quarter of their population during war and their once
booming cacao industry was now

French and Indian War Provoked the American Revolution Essay
The French and Indian war was the event that provoked the American Revolution. The French and
Indian war or Seven years war, lead to certain events that caused Americans to realize that their
English liberties were being denied. The French and Indian war caused debts among the British.
The British realized that during the war the income from the colonies was insufficient (document
F). After the war, the British needed certain ways in which to gain revenue. They imposed taxes on
the Colonists. These taxes, in turn, caused a stir among Americans. The Stamp Act was a tax
imposed on the colonists without representation (document H). Their liberties as English citizens
were being denied. Radical Whigs would go as far to say it... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Radical Whigs saw this as a conspiracy because the French did not have rule by law or trial juries.
French were Catholic, and Americans saw this as a deal between the corrupt papacy and King
George to return to Catholicism. This caused more unrest in the colonies. There were also many
reluctant revolutionaries. Americans considered themselves English and thought they deserved the
same rights as Englishmen. Governors and Generals did not believe Americans were Englishmen.
They treated the Americans badly. William Pitt s policy of impressments upset many Americans.
He took men off boats and forced them into the army where they were not treated like Englishmen.
He also seized supplies for his men from American citizens. However, Americans did not want to
secede from Britain. Benjamin Franklin, a reluctant revolutionary, believed that Americans should
have English rights but should still be loyal to the Crown (document F). After the French and
Indian war, permanent troops were stationed in America because Britain felt America needed more
protection. Americans were forced to house these troops. Americans felt their liberties as
Englishmen were being undermined. They thought that they should not have to house troops they
did not want there in the first place. Radical Whigs thought it was a conspiracy because once
troops were stationed in the colonies Britain would easily be able to have

  • 4. The Spanish American War Was A Conflict Between Spain And... The Spanish American war was a conflict between Spain and America. It ended Spanish ruling in the Americas and resulted in the expansion of territories in the Pacific and Latin America for the US. During this period of imperialism, there were many influences driving the U.S. government. The war started with Cubastruggling to gain their independence from Spain. However, Spain rejected their notions by brutally stopping the Cuban rebellion. Newspapers began portraying Spain as spiteful and the sympathy for the Cuban rebels rose in America. William Randolph Hearst was responsible for exaggerating the truth in the papers about the fight for independence from Spain. Hearst invented a term called yellow journalism , which exploits, distorts, or exaggerates the news to attract readers. A truce was called and Spain allowed Cuba to have limited power of self government. Nevertheless, the demand for the US to intervene with the conflict grew and it resulted in the sinking of the USS Mainein the Havana Harbor in Cuba. The battleship had an explosion that resulted in 260 sailors dead. The explosion was thought to have been caused by the Spanish even though it was never proven. This led to the start of the war. Spain declared war on the US on April 24, 1898. No American favored Cuban independence like Roosevelt. Teddy Roosevelt was one of the most conspicuous heroes during the Spanish American war. Other methods of punishment were intimidation, strapping, removal from class, loss of privilege, writing lines and verbal put downs were all regularly used. As stated before, the class numbers were increasing so teachers had to teach more students, meaning discipline was becoming more stringent as the teacher tried to keep the class in control. • 6. How Did Napoleonic War Impact British Society In his text A mad, bad, and dangerous people Boyd Hilton documents how the wars with Napoleonic France impacted British society. He argues that Britain went to all out war with France when it became apparent that Napoleon and Tsar Alexander of Russia formed an alliance at Tilsit and that this force combined had the potential to overpower European nations such as Denmark, Sweden, and Portugal and thus without intervention would become much more powerful than they already were by 1807. Hilton argues that there was no alternative Britain had to go to war with France or else the Danish navy would be under Napoleon s control. The British army also developed significantly from its state in 1793 mainly due to their successes against Napoleon in Europe and their focus on deploying troops across the continent rather than having thousands of soldiers for national defence as Boyd Hilton argues the diminished fear of invasion made it possible to reduce the home guard, and so Castlereagh was able to transfer 27,000 militiamen to the regular Army as well as raising 12,000 normal recruits. The training of British soldiers was much more crucial to their development, disciplines were tougher but fairer, and promotions were introduced in all infantry and cavalry positions and lower class men could now make careers as military officers depending on their success, It was largely due to these changes that the Army moved from the margins of society to something approaching respectability. • 9. Abolishing Death Penalty The future of the death penalty lies unclear in the cross country battle over whether or not it should be abolished. The death penalty should in fact be abolished because of the extreme costs and painful time involved to house and execute inmates, the indecision of which method of execution is the most humane, and the increasing number of innocent inmates being wrongfully executed. The number of death sentences peaked at about 315 in 1996, but last year dropped to only 73. In addition, the number of prisoners on death row dropped 17% from 3,593 in 2000, to 3,000 in 2015(Wolf and Johnson 1). Despite this rapid decline in the amount of death sentences and prisoners awaiting execution, 31 states still retain the death penalty, with only seven ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... is that no states are seeking to reinforce the death penalty. For example, California houses 25% of the nation s 3,000 death row prisoners and the $137 million dollars the state spends on maintaining capital punishment has led to the states disliking. One aspect of capital punishment that has displeased average American citizens is all the attention on death row prisoners, making rock stars out of killers. Many believe the money and attention should be spent on more serious issues like disease or poverty or even on the struggling families of the victims. However, the crime rate jumped 122% from 1963 to 1980, and maybe that is why capital punishment is needed. The fear of being executed will diminish the amount of murders and crimes in the country, and that if we protect guilty lives then innocent lives will be given up in exchange. But by reinforcing the death penalty, innocents could be wrongly executed. Take for example Anthony Ray Hinton. Hinton spent 30 years on Alabama s death row after being convicted for two murders at age 29. But due to a defense lawyer s mistakes in 1985, he was granted a new hearing and was found innocent. After being freed he said, I spent 30 years on death row for something I didn t do. This supports my argument in that if all this time and money is spent on protecting the death penalty to come to a clear verdict, than there should never be a wrong conviction. • 25. The Uniqueness Of The Kodaly Method Chapter One The Uniqueness of the Kodaly Method Zoltan Kodaly chose a child developmental approach when developing his method. This approach teaches skills in the order and pace in which the child develops rather than subject logic. In a subject logic approach there is no relationship between the order of presentation and the order in which children learn easily. The subject matter is simply organized in a fashion that seems reasonable in terms of content. The subject logic approach rhythmically begins with the whole note and progresses in a manner that is mathematically reasonable, proceeding next to the half note and then to the quarter note. This progression is, however, very difficult for a beginning student who has not yet even learned how to feel a basic beat. Melodically speaking, the diatonic major scale is the general starting point from a subject logic approach. This also causes issues because the average young child cannot accurately sing a diatonic major scale. According to research, most children are able to sing a range of only five or six tones and cannot produce half steps in tune. Unlike the subject logic approach, the child development approach of the Kodaly method requires arranging subject matter into patterns that align with the sequence of normal child abilities at various stages of growth. The law of demand simply says that when the price of a good rises, the amount demanded falls, and when the price falls, the amount demanded rises. An increase in demand means that the demand curve will shift to the right. A decrease in the price of the product will not shift the demand curve, but will increase the quantity demanded (Henderson, 2008). The Coefficient of Determination Interpretation is the accuracy of the predictor of the independent variable on the dependent variable value. The coefficient of determination is calculated as the square of the correlation coefficient between the sample and predicted data. How well a regression model fits the data is shown through the coefficient of determination. The value of the coefficient of determination shows the percentage of variation that can be explained by the regression equation and is used to show how accurately a regression model can predict future outcomes (Mahvish Zehra, n.d.). The interpretation of each independent variable coefficient is as following. There is a decrease in the demand for pizza. The coefficient of the cost of pizza is, 3,174.060 and the coefficient of the cost of soda is, 2,266.736 this shows a negative impact on demand. Being a friend with him has sometimes gotten me into unusual situation. For example, I lost my friend in Disneyland and to find him again, to climb a rope with my wrist sprained, and to care about a person s pride. I was with Ryan and Daniel in Disneyland. In Bunker Hill, Nathaniel Philbrick chronicles how the conflagration of the American Revolution would erupt from the embers of the past focusing on the great impact that those involved in the infamous battle for which the book is titled and the battle itself would have on the colonies and their fight for liberties. This is a vivid bildungsroman for the city of Boston, teeming with new thoughts and ideals, that would face internal conflict, which would later give the city the title the Cradle of Freedom. 1 Setting aside the legends of the revolution, Philbrick presents not only a historic event in American history, but also the subtle, essential moments that are not limited to 1775 but are the underpinning mechanics of overthrowing a regime that are essentially the same today as they were in the eighteenth century; however, focusing on our mythic Founding Fathers, many overlook the true nature of the war that is present in every revolution.2 Unlike the hackneyed stories told to us as children on the Fourth of July, the American colonies were not victims to an overly oppressive, malevolent motherland thousands of miles away.
