The Self Organised Learning Environment (SOLEs) - Does it work in the languag...eaquals
This document summarizes a Self Organized Learning Environment (SOLE) experiment conducted at International House London. Teachers tried giving students open-ended questions to research independently in groups for 40-50 minutes each lesson over 4 weeks. This document explores possible futures for the workplace and people management in 2020. It identifies three plausible scenarios or "worlds" that may exist:
1. The "Blue World" where large corporations dominate society and take on prominent social roles.
2. The "Green World" where businesses are forced to change fundamentally due to environmental and social pressures.

Multichannel retailing involves selling merchandise through more than one sales channel, such as stores, catalogs, and the internet. The largest multichannel retailers in the country use multiple channels to reach more customers. While stores offer benefits like browsing and personal service, catalogs provide convenience and quality visuals. The internet has advantages over other channels like broader selection and personalized customer service. Successful multichannel retailers must develop capabilities to manage inventory, distribution, and customer experience across channels. Key issues include providing an integrated shopping experience and maintaining consistent brand image and pricing.

The Secret to Learning Transfer Success: Introducing Three Practical Strategi...Human Capital Media
Despite an abundance of attention, the failure of learning transfer continues to afflict the workforce, organizations and their learning leaders. This webinar will uncover key reasons for lack of learning transfer in training along with the implications. It will then introduce three strategies that are not only proven to work, but can be implemented in your environment quickly and cost effectively.
Learning Objectives:
Uncovering the implications of learning transfer failure.
Understanding the root causes of learning transfer failure.
Three strategies to increase learning transfer success that attendees can take away and start implementing immediately and cost effectively.

Coming Up: Ten challenges for workforce development. Presentation by Barb McP...Jo Kay
Businesses and workplaces are very different to how they were 10, even just 5 years ago. Critics of our national training system suggest competencies are out of date. Are they? Or, is it our approaches to learning and our understanding of what constitutes training that is now out of step with the needs we claim to address? At what point do the national VET system, workforce development needs and culture of organisational learning intersect? Siemens and Wegner, familiar to VET practitioners on the Australian conference circuit 2005-2006, promote connectivism-network learning theory, and communities of practice respectively as relevant alternatives to traditional classroom learning. In this presentation, Barb McPherson a veteran of six Australian Flexible Learning Framework initiatives since 2002 considers ten challenges to workforce development and how RMT is responding and preparing for change.
This document discusses leveraging knowledge as a competitive advantage. It argues that knowledge is a hidden asset for organizations that is often unmeasured and underutilized. It provides strategies for capturing ongoing learning, sharing knowledge to add value, and leveraging knowledge as a methodology. This includes forming small, connected groups to share knowledge dynamically and rewarding those who add value or disagree. The challenges are to capture and enable dynamic sharing of knowledge through intelligent search and translating past lessons into future scenarios. Conventional wisdom can constrain leveraging knowledge effectively.

The more direct contact brands have with consumers,

One that translates both into tweets and invoices
in campaigns, and more important, a permanent dialogue.
Because people’s expectations have shifted.
Towards new client service normals.
From ads to acts.
Changing companies towards more consumer centricity isn’t easy.
That requires proving you’re on the right track every single day.
Showing progress.

The way we see it, we are at a critical juncture where the world is experiencing a major shift in the way everyone works and learns.
The most successful companies continually reinvent themselves during these times of disruption. And continually developing their talent is the differentiator. No matter what sector or industry, increasing employee's knowledge, skills, and abilities in this continually changing environment is fundamental in futureproofing success.
In our webinar, we explore the increasingly fluid nature of learning, the skills workers will need to learn, and how leaders can build a culture of learning from the top down.
Knowledge, learning and your bottom-lineOri Bendet
1) Employees on average only spend 1% of their workweek on training and development as technology adoption accelerates and the world moves faster than ever.
2) This lack of knowledge leads to issues like unsatisfied customers, sales, and management as well as continuous escalations as employees are unable to effectively do their jobs.
3) Digital learning platforms can help by providing micro-learning experiences using AI to identify gaps and deliver just-in-time, engaging training on any device to improve employee knowledge and business outcomes.

How to Manage Reception Report in Odoo 17Celine George
A business may deal with both sales and purchases occasionally. They buy things from vendors and then sell them to their customers. Such dealings can be confusing at times. Because multiple clients may inquire about the same product at the same time, after purchasing those products, customers must be assigned to them. Odoo has a tool called Reception Report that can be used to complete this assignment. By enabling this, a reception report comes automatically after confirming a receipt, from which we can assign products to orders.
THE SACRIFICE HOW PRO-PALESTINE PROTESTS STUDENTS ARE SACRIFICING TO CHANGE T...indexPub
The recent surge in pro-Palestine student activism has prompted significant responses from universities, ranging from negotiations and divestment commitments to increased transparency about investments in companies supporting the war on Gaza. This activism has led to the cessation of student encampments but also highlighted the substantial sacrifices made by students, including academic disruptions and personal risks. The primary drivers of these protests are poor university administration, lack of transparency, and inadequate communication between officials and students. This study examines the profound emotional, psychological, and professional impacts on students engaged in pro-Palestine protests, focusing on Generation Z's (Gen-Z) activism dynamics. This paper explores the significant sacrifices made by these students and even the professors supporting the pro-Palestine movement, with a focus on recent global movements. Through an in-depth analysis of printed and electronic media, the study examines the impacts of these sacrifices on the academic and personal lives of those involved. The paper highlights examples from various universities, demonstrating student activism's long-term and short-term effects, including disciplinary actions, social backlash, and career implications. The researchers also explore the broader implications of student sacrifices. The findings reveal that these sacrifices are driven by a profound commitment to justice and human rights, and are influenced by the increasing availability of information, peer interactions, and personal convictions. The study also discusses the broader implications of this activism, comparing it to historical precedents and assessing its potential to influence policy and public opinion. The emotional and psychological toll on student activists is significant, but their sense of purpose and community support mitigates some of these challenges. However, the researchers call for acknowledging the broader Impact of these sacrifices on the future global movement of FreePalestine.
