the quality of life and economic well-being of
people living in rural areas.

3. Mahatma Gandhi National Rural
Employment Guarantee Act
 This Guarantee Act for Providing
wage of employment
 Its aims to enhance livelihood
security in rural areas
 By providing at least 100 days of
wage employment in a financial
year to every household whose
adult members volunteer to do
unskilled manual work.

self employment and skill
development
 The basic idea behind this
program is to organize the
poor into SHG(self help
groups) and make them
