substance abuse, and their Executive Director, Joseph A. Martinez, J.D. However, this was not my

Pauline reached over to James and took the shoe off his foot and threw it to the side of the group.
When reaching James name card he put his hand up and said that it was his name, Pauline then replied
to him with James it says on this card, I thought your name was Cinderella because I had to take your

Child Slavery Up until the 13th amendment, owning a slave had been just like owning any other piece
of property. No one felt guilty about how the slaves were being mistreated. The 13th amendment was

Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension ( Ph )
Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH) belong to group 1 in the classification of Pulmonary
Hypertension (PH). It is a chronic progressive disease caused by narrowing of the minor pulmonary
arteries due to vascular proliferation and remodeling.

The estimated prevalence for PAH is 15 50 cases per million although it is a rare disease. The female
to male ratio is 1.7:1 with higher prevalence between 30 40 years old. To date there are 52 cases per

The current treatments available for PAH are prostaglandin (PG), calcium channel blocker (CCB),
Endothelin Receptor Antagonist (ERA), and Phosphodiesterase 5 inhibitors (PDE 5 I). The need for

Class distinctions and gender roles in the Regency and Victorian eras were centered on a very rigid
social structure. This is the world that forms the basis of Austen s novels. The daughter of an esteemed
Reverend, Austen was herself a part of the landed gentry and she hence limited the focus of her novels
to characters that lived lives similar to hers and that were located in an extremely selective world that
was easily accessible to her. The lives of the women of the Regency period, including that of Austen,
were orchestrated around certain gender expectations which ordained that they live in the shadow of
men and be disempowered. Men were meant to be financially empowered by means of the money that
they earned through their occupation or inherited through ancestral funds. The social structure was
hierarchical and it lacked social mobility, whereby the aristocratic upper classes and middle classes,
ruled by their separate set of values and expectations, rarely mingled with each other. Austen
intelligently and truthfully represents these values in her novels that focus on mannerisms, social

The 19th century was a time of stagnation. No social reform happened drastically. Women were still
seen as baby machines, granted better educated baby machines than before. Alfred Tennyson saw this
stagnation and found that through the popularity of poetry he was able to comment on the idea that
women are not living creatures on their own and depend on others for survival. Tennyson uses varied
word structure, particularized detail of each character, and an almost chapter like poetic form to
express this dependence through the lady herself. These expressions directly translate to concern for
the stunted 19th century ideology of what and who a woman should be and what could arise if this

stanza begins with a line ending in with the word Camelot followed by three lines of description or
action with the last line always ending with Shalott. Never are Camlet and The Lady of Shalott more
than three stanzas away from each other, but never are they any closer. These back to back showcases
along with the constant distance between the lines ending in Camelot and the lines ending with Shalott
allow the reader to understand why the Lady of Shalott is so dependent on these shadows. Tennyson is

through the actions of the characters and the language used for their descriptions. For example,
characters of indigenous origin to the colonies are defined on the basis of their religion or race. This

It has been a long day and you decide to sit down to relax while watching some television. You turn on
the TV and begin flipping through channels. On one channel, you see some random news report on a
tragic school shooting that occurred across the country. Changing to another, you might catch the last
30 minutes of a slasher, horror flick. The last channel you come across, before turning off the TV,
features a popular television show where the main cast fights a new villain.
The common theme that anybody would see here, between the latest movie and local news report,
would be violence. Some violence might be animated or meant to be comical in some way whereas
other forms are highly graphic, containing a large amount of blood and detail. It is not unheard of for
most members of society to have been exposed to violence through the media. Children, teenagers, or
young adults may witness it in the latest most popular video game. Adults may watch it in their
favorite scary movies or sci fi television show. Are children more prone to violent outburst because
