This document discusses reducing peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) in MIMO-OFDM systems using linear companding transforms. It proposes applying companding transforms like linear companding transform (LCT) and linear nonsymmetrical companding transform (LNST) to reduce PAPR without restricting system parameters. The method aims to achieve a very low PAPR, reduce signal degradation from nonlinear power amplifiers, and have high spectral efficiency and signal-to-noise ratio while staying within bandwidth and complexity limits. The performance is analyzed through MATLAB simulations.

In this paper a new Exponential companding technique with Network coding is proposed to reduce the Peak-to-
Average Ratio (PAPR) and Bit-Error-Rate in Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) signals. By uniformly
distribution of transmitted OFDM signals, the proposed technique effectively reduces the PAPR by compressing the peak signals
and expanding the small signals, unlike the Mu-law companding technique. The Mu-law companding only enlarging small
signal but our Exponential companding adjust both small as well as large signals without changing the average power by
properly choosing transform parameters. Our simulations results, which consider a baseband OFDM system with Additive White
Gaussian Noise (AWGN) channel, Binary Symmetric Channel (BSC) and a Solid State Power Amplifier (SSPA) shows that the
proposed exponential companding technique can offer better PAPR reduction, Bit Error Rate (BER) than the Conventional
coding and Mu-law companding.

To Study The Phase Noise Effect In OFDM Based Communication System
Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is being successfully used in many
applications. It was chosen for IEEE 802.11a wireless local area network (WLAN)
standard, and it is being considered for the fourth-generation mobile communication
systems. Along with its many attractive features, OFDM has some principal drawbacks.
Sensitivity to frequency errors and phase noise between the transmitted and received
signals is the most dominant of these drawbacks. In this thesis, phase noise effects on
OFDM based communication systems are investigated under Rayleigh fading
environment. Phase noise has two main effects. First, it causes a random phase variation
common to all sub-carriers. The effects of this common phase error(CPE) are minimized
by employing phase tracking techniques or differential decoding. Second, it introduces
Inter carrier interference (ICI).In OFDM system, when subjected to fading extremely
high signal to noise ratio(SNR) are required to achieve resonable error probability.Coding
becomes obvious choice to achieve higher possible rate in presence of crosstalk,
impulsive and other interferences. This form of OFDM is called coded OFDM
(COFDM). Reed-Solomon codes can compensate these two dimensional errors.
Channel estimation in OFDM based communication system is a technique use to
minimize common phase error(CPE) occurred due to phase noise. Least square with
averaging (LSA) is block-type pilot symbol aided channel estimation technique used to
multiplex reference symbols, so-called pilot symbols, into the data stream. The receiver
estimates the channel state information based on the received, known pilot symbols. The
pilot symbols can be scattered in time and/or frequency direction in OFDM frames.
This thesis analyzed Uncoded, Reed-Solomon coded and Reed-Solomon coded with LSA
channel estimated OFDM based communication system in presence of phase noise by
using MATLAB Simulink. Various Simulink modal of OFDM based communication
system is developed in this thesis.The LSA channel estimation scheme is use to remove
common phase error (CPE) occured due to phase noise and then Reed-Solomon coding is
use to improve BER performance of OFDM system with phase noise.The simulation
performance results of the OFDM system for Rayleigh fading with QPSK modulation is
discuss in this thesis.

The increasing demand of ubiquitous multimedia service forces the future wireless communication for higher data rates to the dynamic wireless environment. Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiplexing (OFDM) is the most common technique has received more attention due to its high spectral efficiency and its resistance to multipath fading in addition to high data rate and robust performance. Presence of large number of subcarriers leads to a large dynamic range with large Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR) in OFDM. High PAPR is the major limitation of OFDM in the present scenario. The present research work utilizes conic and convex optimization filtering techniques in customized formulations. The first proposed technique uses Standard Deviation based Iterative Clipping and Filtering (SD-ICF) to minimize PAPR. The filtering simply removes the out-of band spectral re-growth without considering the effect on the time domain peak after the IFFT operation. The main aspect of the SD-ICF approach is that, oversampling increases the resolution of the OFDM symbol giving a closer approximation to the band limited signal after filtering. As a result, it tends to cause sizable time-domain peaks, requiring clipping and filtering to be repeated many iterations before achieving the desired PAPR. The filter response is modified by exploiting convex optimization. As the PAPR is reduced to an optimized value, the effect of oversampling is also minimal. The second approach utilizes a Custom Optimized Iterative Adaptive Clipping and Filtering (COIACF) technique for PAPR reduction. COIACF minimizes PAPR to a desired level in less number of iterations. Moreover, COIACF include an Improved FFT-based method of constructing the linear system of equations, an improved update procedure to reduce the number of iterations. The proposed method shows a greater reduction in PAPR in lesser iterations with reduced out-of-band distortion and bit error rate. Here COIACF uses FFT to reduce the number of iterations. The third proposed Tone Reservation (TR) based technique utilizes the few unused OFDM subcarriers. An Efficient Data Communication Using Conventional Codes
The BER performance of conventional FFT-OFDM system is compared with DWT-OFDM system and DCT-OFDM system in an AWGN environment and Saleh-Valenzuela (SV) channel model at 60 GHz. Several wavelets such as Haar, Daubechies, Symlet, biorthogonal are considered. The BER is calculated for signaling format BPSK and the performance is analyzed at 60 GHz. Simulation results show that DCT based scheme yields the lowest average bit error rate. While out of all wavelet mother used Haar and Daubechies wavelet based scheme yields lower BER than FFT-OFDM for an AWGN channel. But it may include the implementation of forward error correction techniques such as convolution codes. An efficient channel estimation algorithm may be included for performance evaluation of DCT-OFDM and DWT- OFDM working at 60 GHz band. We introduce the Interfacing Techniques for Accessing data transfer data delivery. By using our approach we are increasing the efficiency of the data communication.

Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR) Reduction in OFDM-OQAM Signals
Abstract: The Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) is a type of modulation that is being used for many of the latest wireless, telecommunication and broadcasting standards. OFDM is considered to be complicated than other signals but also it possess high data rate transmissions with relatively wide bandwidths. The major disadvantage included in OFDM signal is Peak-to-Average Power Ratio (PAPR) in higher level and Sensitive to Carrier offset. Hence there were found to be many reduction techniques for PAPR have been proposed where in need to reduction in high PAPR and carrier sensitivity still more to make it efficient for future optical domain standards. This paper not only makes the OFDM system advantageous but also suitable for fast data transmission and reduces the complication at receiver side, because all the transmitting data are cleared out of signal noise, interferences, etc. The technique which is going to get implemented for PAPR reduction is Optimized Iterative Clipping and Filtering (OICF).The OFDM is provided with the subcarrier of N=256 and the modulation of Offset Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (OQAM). The OQAM-OFDM provides the higher spectral efficiency and also the inter-symbol interference is avoided since not using Cyclic Prefix (CP) in OQAM-OFDM signal. The main reason for reducing PAPR is that to avoid non- linearity at the receiving end in high speed wireless communication.
Analysis of Reduction of PAPR by Linear Predictive Coding in OFDM
The major challenge in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is to reduce high peak to average power ratio (PAPR) that leads to non linear distortion for the application of high power amplifier. PAPR is defined as the ratio between the maximum instantaneous power and its average power. In this paper, we have presented new PAPR reduction technique to reduce peak to average power ratio using Linear predicting coding (LPC) in OFDM system. In this paper, proposed technique show the significant reduction in PAPR without any harmful degradation in power spectral density (PSD), computational complexity (CC) and performance error of the system. This proposed method can be applied for any number of subcarrier and independent of modulation scheme under Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) channel.

This paper is concerned with the performance improvement of PAPR reduction of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) signal using amplitude clipping & filtering based design. Note that OFDM is one of the well adept multi-carrier multiplexing transmission scheme which has been implemented in long term evolution (LTE) downlink. Nonetheless peak to average power ratio (PAPR) is the more rattling problem with OFDM, consequently in this paper a reduction procedure of the PAPR by using amplitude clipping and filtering is proposed. Here we used IIR bandpass elliptic filter after amplitude clipping to
reduce the PAPR. The performance of the system in terms of bit error rate (BER) is also canvased as a new
filter based clipping method. Our results show that the proposed methodology of clipping method with the
IIR elliptic band pass filter significantly reduces the PAPR value.

Visible Light Communication (VLC) has become an accolade to its radio frequency counterpart. In VLC system, orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) has drawn much attention, because of simple equalization, high spectral efficiency, high data rate and robustness to intersymbol interference (ISI). Besides, there are emerging applications that ought to be gotten with low latency and high reliability. To diminish power requirements with no transmission capacity extension, Trellis coded modulation (TCM) is utilized as a part of the framework in which the free distance of trellis diagram is equivalent to the minimum distance between the points of constellation focuses in partitioned subsets, which augments the coding gain up i.e. the performance parameter viably. TCM together with VLC-OFDM enhances the transmission execution in reasonable frameworks. In this paper, we propose OFDM which is based on TCM and is planned and exeuted for digitized OFDM frameworks by presenting delta sigma modulation (DSM) considering VLC channel. Simulation results show that the proposed TCM based VLC-OFDM offers incredible robustness against noises and nonlinear degradation.

A Review Paper on: The PAPR Analysis of MIMO-OFDM Systems
Orthogonal frequency division Multiplexing (OFDM) is one of the most popular multicarrier or multiplexing modulation techniques which transmits many signals over a single path in high speed wireless communication. OFDM convert high data rate stream in to smaller data rate stream. Due to this high data rate and ability to combat frequency selective fading, OFDM has a strong candidate for 4G wireless networks. Because of OFDM-MIMO advantages in multipath fading channel e.g. stout against ISI, ICI and some other advantages like best QoS for multiple users, efficient convention of bandwidth it is suggested to be the modulation technique for next generation 4G networks e.g. LTE. OFDM combined with multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) to increase system capacity over the time variant frequency-selective channels and the diversity gain. The radio transmitter stations for covering and getting enough transmitted power in their desired area has to use High Power Amplifier (HPA) operable near to the saturation region or else, an aspect memory-less nonlinear distortion will affect the communication path. But along with all its advantages there are some disadvantages also. e.g. High PAPR (Peak to Average Power Ratio) at the transmitter end and BER (Bit Error Rate) at the receiving end. As OFDM is only used in the downlink of 4G networks. To reduce the problems of OFDM-MIMO systems some procedures as SLM, PTS, Clipping, Coding, & Pre-coding etc are suggested but none of them is proficient enough to reduce the PAPR and BER up to standard value. This Paper will discuss some techniques of PAPR reduction, and both their advantages and disadvantages.

An Efficient Data Communication Using Conventional Codes
The BER performance of conventional FFT-OFDM system is compared with DWT-OFDM system and DCT-OFDM system in an AWGN environment and Saleh-Valenzuela (SV) channel model at 60 GHz. Several wavelets such as Haar, Daubechies, Symlet, biorthogonal are considered. The BER is calculated for signaling format BPSK and the performance is analyzed at 60 GHz. Simulation results show that DCT based scheme yields the lowest average bit error rate. While out of all wavelet mother used Haar and Daubechies wavelet based scheme yields lower BER than FFT-OFDM for an AWGN channel. But it may include the implementation of forward error correction techniques such as convolution codes. An efficient channel estimation algorithm may be included for performance evaluation of DCT-OFDM and DWT- OFDM working at 60 GHz band. We introduce the Interfacing Techniques for Accessing data transfer data delivery. By using our approach we are increasing the efficiency of the data communication.

Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR) Reduction in OFDM-OQAM Signals
Abstract: The Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) is a type of modulation that is being used for many of the latest wireless, telecommunication and broadcasting standards. OFDM is considered to be complicated than other signals but also it possess high data rate transmissions with relatively wide bandwidths. The major disadvantage included in OFDM signal is Peak-to-Average Power Ratio (PAPR) in higher level and Sensitive to Carrier offset. Hence there were found to be many reduction techniques for PAPR have been proposed where in need to reduction in high PAPR and carrier sensitivity still more to make it efficient for future optical domain standards. This paper not only makes the OFDM system advantageous but also suitable for fast data transmission and reduces the complication at receiver side, because all the transmitting data are cleared out of signal noise, interferences, etc. The technique which is going to get implemented for PAPR reduction is Optimized Iterative Clipping and Filtering (OICF).The OFDM is provided with the subcarrier of N=256 and the modulation of Offset Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (OQAM). The OQAM-OFDM provides the higher spectral efficiency and also the inter-symbol interference is avoided since not using Cyclic Prefix (CP) in OQAM-OFDM signal. The main reason for reducing PAPR is that to avoid non- linearity at the receiving end in high speed wireless communication.
Analysis of Reduction of PAPR by Linear Predictive Coding in OFDM
The major challenge in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is to reduce high peak to average power ratio (PAPR) that leads to non linear distortion for the application of high power amplifier. PAPR is defined as the ratio between the maximum instantaneous power and its average power. In this paper, we have presented new PAPR reduction technique to reduce peak to average power ratio using Linear predicting coding (LPC) in OFDM system. In this paper, proposed technique show the significant reduction in PAPR without any harmful degradation in power spectral density (PSD), computational complexity (CC) and performance error of the system. This proposed method can be applied for any number of subcarrier and independent of modulation scheme under Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) channel.

This paper is concerned with the performance improvement of PAPR reduction of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) signal using amplitude clipping & filtering based design. Note that OFDM is one of the well adept multi-carrier multiplexing transmission scheme which has been implemented in long term evolution (LTE) downlink. Nonetheless peak to average power ratio (PAPR) is the more rattling problem with OFDM, consequently in this paper a reduction procedure of the PAPR by using amplitude clipping and filtering is proposed. Here we used IIR bandpass elliptic filter after amplitude clipping to
reduce the PAPR. The performance of the system in terms of bit error rate (BER) is also canvased as a new
filter based clipping method. Our results show that the proposed methodology of clipping method with the
IIR elliptic band pass filter significantly reduces the PAPR value.

Besides, there are emerging applications that ought to be gotten with low latency and high reliability. To diminish power requirements with no transmission capacity extension, Trellis coded modulation (TCM) is utilized as a part of the framework in which the free distance of trellis diagram is equivalent to the minimum distance between the points of constellation focuses in partitioned subsets, which augments the coding gain up i.e. the performance parameter viably. Orthogonal frequency division Multiplexing (OFDM) is one of the most popular multicarrier or multiplexing modulation techniques which transmits many signals over a single path in high speed wireless communication. OFDM convert high data rate stream in to smaller data rate stream. Due to this high data rate and ability to combat frequency selective fading, OFDM has a strong candidate for 4G wireless networks. Because of OFDM-MIMO advantages in multipath fading channel e.g. stout against ISI, ICI and some other advantages like best QoS for multiple users, efficient convention of bandwidth it is suggested to be the modulation technique for next generation 4G networks e.g. LTE. OFDM combined with multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) to increase system capacity over the time variant frequency-selective channels and the diversity gain. The radio transmitter stations for covering and getting enough transmitted power in their desired area has to use High Power Amplifier (HPA) operable near to the saturation region or else, an aspect memory-less nonlinear distortion will affect the communication path. But along with all its advantages there are some disadvantages also. e.g. High PAPR (Peak to Average Power Ratio) at the transmitter end and BER (Bit Error Rate) at the receiving end. As OFDM is only used in the downlink of 4G networks. To reduce the problems of OFDM-MIMO systems some procedures as SLM, PTS, Clipping, Coding, & Pre-coding etc are suggested but none of them is proficient enough to reduce the PAPR and BER up to standard value. This Paper will discuss some techniques of PAPR reduction, and both their advantages and disadvantages.

and in band distortion. This paper reviews some conventional PAPR reduction techniques and their
modifications to achieve better PAPR performance. Advantages and disadvantages of each technique are
discussed in detail. And comparisons between different techniques are also presented. Finally, this paper

Multiband Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (MB-OFDM) is used as efficacious procedure for
ultra-wideband (UWB) wireless communication applications, which divides the spectrum into various subbands,
whose bandwidth is approximately 500MHz. Major arduousness in multiband-OFDM is ,it have
very large peak to average power ratio value which causes the signal to enter into dynamic region that
consequence in the loss of orthogonal properties and results in the interference of the carrier signals which
crops the amplifier saturation and finally limits the capacity of the system. Many PAPR amortize
algorithms have reported in the survey and pre-coding is PAPR reduction which is inserted after
modulation in the OFDM system. The Existing work presents the reduction of that value by different
clipping techniques namely Classical-Clipping (CC), Heavy side-Clipping (HC), Deep-Clipping (DC) and
Smooth-Clipping (SC) and their comparison analysis is done. Every clipping method is best at its own
level .The proficiency of these strategies are evaluated in locutions of average power disparity, complete
system decadence and PAPR reduction. Finally results show the MB OFDM yields better performance to
reduce PAPR in effective way.

The OFDM technique divides the total bandwidth into many narrow sub-channels and sends data in parallel. It has various advantages, such as high spectral efficiency, immunity to impulse interference and, frequency selective fading without having powerful channel equalizer. But one of the major drawbacks of the OFDM system is high PAPR. OFDM signal consists of lot of independent modulated subcarriers, which created the problem of PAPR. It is impossible to send this high peak amplitude signals to the transmitter without reducing peaks. So we have to reduce high peak amplitude of the signals before transmitting. Communication is one in all the numerous features of existence. A new DSI-SLM method for PAPR reduction in OFDM system state that the phase sequence and dummy sequences added to the signal improves the PAPR reduction in OFDM signals whereas less hardware resources and less time are required to achieve the desired result.
Ofdm-cpm Ber Performance and FOBP Under IEEE802.16 Scenario
The application of Orthogonal frequency domain modulation-Continuous Phase Modulation (OFDM-CPM) in multipath Stanford University Interim (SUI) channels is presented in this paper. OFDM-CPM is proposed for IEEE 802.16 standards as an alternative technique of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) in physical layer. It is shown that, in addition to 0dB Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR) and power efficiency, un-coded OFDM-CPM exploits the frequency diversity of multipath channel. Taking into account the Input Power Back off (IBO), OFDM-CPM is shown to outperform OFDM at high bit energy-to-noise density ratios (Eb/N0). However, at low Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR), the OFDM-CPM phase demodulator receiver suffers from a threshold effect. In addition, this paper compares the spectral fractional out of band power of OFDM-CPM for different modulation indices.

Mobile wireless communication providers are expected by their numerous subscribers to provide network that can allow higher data rates, and good voice quality. However, this may be restricted due to some technical problems such as limited availability of radio frequency spectrum, bandwidth, channel capacity, geographical areas and transmission problems caused by various factors like fading and multipath distortion. All these lead to overall system performance degradation. This has led to various studies on how improvement on the performance of wireless communication can be realized using different techniques. This paper is a review of some scholarly works on this subject. To achieve this some recent scholarly articles were accessed online and their findings were highlighted. It was observed that all the articles reviewed had results drawn only from theoretical analysis. Based on this, one of the recommendations is that theoretical analysis should be supported with data obtained from carrying out RF measurements in the field where possible.
Reduction of Outage Probability in Fast Rayleigh Fading MIMO Channels Using OFDM
Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) techniques are used in wireless communications for achieving high spectral efficiency; however, a fast fading spatial channel can increase the outage probability of a MIMO system if not taken care of. This paper investigates the use of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) modulation technique for a MIMO system operating in fast Rayleigh fading channels with the aim of eliminating outage probabilities in the MIMO systems. Simulation results show that the MIMO-OFDM system gives significant reduction in outage probabilities compared to the conventional MIMO system.

Reducing the Peak to Average Power Ratio of Mimo-Ofdm Systems
In this paper, we proposed a particle swarm optimization (PSO) based partial transmit sequence (PTS)
technique in order to achieve the lowest Peak-to-Average Power Ratio(PAPR) in Multiple Input Multiple
Output- Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (MIMO-OFDM) systems. Our approach consist of
applying the PSO based PTS on each antenna of the system in order to find the optimal phase factors,
which is a straightforward method to get the minimum PAPR in such a system. The simulation results
demonstrate that the PSO based PTS algorithm when applied to MIMO-OFDM systems with a wide range
of phase factors, tends to give a high performance. In addition, there is no need to increase the number of
particles of the PSO algorithm to enhance the performance of the system. As a result of this, the complexity
of finding the minimum PAPR is kept at a reasonable level.

A trade-off is necessary for reducing PAPR with increasing bit error rate (BER), computational complexity or data rate loss etc. In this paper, a moderately modified design of amplitude clipping & filtering operation (ACF) is proposed and implemented which shows the significant improvement in case of PAPR reduction for both quadrature phase shift keying (QPSK) & quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) while increasing slight BER match up to to an existing method.

The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.
