This document presents a new peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) reduction technique for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems using linear predictive coding (LPC). LPC is used to decorrelate the OFDM signal in order to reduce the PAPR. The technique is evaluated based on complementary cumulative distribution function (CCDF) curves, bit error rate (BER) performance, and power spectral density (PSD). Simulation results show the proposed LPC technique provides significant PAPR reduction compared to other techniques like selective mapping, without degradation of PSD, computational complexity, or BER performance.
