This document presents a case study on Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) at a Japanese university. CLIL combines language learning with content subjects like global issues. The study examined how well this approach improved students' English writing skills and knowledge of global issues, as well as the challenges and benefits. Pre- and post-tests of students showed increases in confidence in both their English academic writing abilities and their understanding of world affairs and global issues. The approach also contributed to developing a culture of peace through guest speakers on peace issues.
