Music Video Comments:
The work for the main task is complete.
There is evidence of excellence in the creative use of most of the technical skills.
• shooting material appropriate to the task set; including controlled use of the
camera, attention to framing, variety of shot sizes and close attention to mise en
scene
• editing so that meaning is apparent to the viewer and making selective and
appropriate use of shot transitions, captions and other effects
• recording and editing sound with images appropriately.
Good narrative. Excellent contrast between the lip-syncing and narrative. Fits the
emotion of the song well. Great MES (make up). Could have had a more resolved
ending.
Ancillary Task 1: Digipak
The candidate has demonstrated excellence in the creative use of most of the
technical skills. The design fits with the genre well and follows conventions of
layout and page design. Shots used are appropriate to task and genre and are
excellently edited using photoshop. Excellent use of imagery and colour to convey
the genre.
Ancillary Task 2: Poster
The candidate has demonstrated proficiency in the creative use of most of the
technical skills. The main image is shot, framed and edited excellently in
photoshop. Overall design fits conventions of the genre well. Inclusion of text and
release date shows good awareness of the general conventions of a poster,
however social media icons or music streaming apps could have been included.
