This document summarizes a study on residents' attitudes towards tourism in Bigodi village, Uganda. The study found that residents generally had positive attitudes towards tourism, citing economic benefits like income and improved agricultural markets. Some concerns were also discussed, like inflation and issues like crop raiding. The researchers concluded that more education could help address concerns, and an insurance program could help mitigate risks to farmers from crop raiding. The community has taken steps to manage tourism for community development through a cooperative that invests revenue in local schools and infrastructure projects.
